if you watch my run and see the score how mine climbs, he misses a lot of enemies then all of a sudden his score drastically shoots up, there is no way on my version the scoring system can do that, unless i'm missing something, you just need to watch the 1st stage up to the boss then you will see the score fly up, i will do another run for a highscore, this time i will go for a score and not a no death challenge.
Leave it for now but the world record score just looks odd to me, i will play again for a score this time and see how i get on, it might be me, i'll do it with the NTSC-US region of the game, thanks for the replies bud, it might just be me, but that score does look very strange to me.
I don't know how to tell which region type it's played on. He seems to be in America though and apparently lives in Texas.
he resets the game at about 1:50 -- could this be the cause of what you're talking about?
I haven't watched the entire video but the score seems to climb consistently as he progresses through the game. I'm not very familiar with this game but I didn't notice anything that seems unusual.
If there is anything in particular that you can direct me to in the video I'll have another look.

Hi S.Baz, i watched the run on the world record for rocket knight and i am very very confused as to how the game was played, i dont belive the scores are correct compared to my video, ive asked him what region it was played on but ive not got a reply yet, the world record video just doen's line up unless its just me, i'm new to this page and i love it!! is there any chance of re-voting? thanks again :-)
& it is all genuine hardware unless i say its emulated, eg, coin ops 8 or everdrive, thanks again everyone :-)
