@S.BAZ:

Each individual level can be replayed over and over again AND it has its own high score mode.

The scoring system uses a "combo" scoring system so the longer you go without getting hit, the higher the point for each successful enemy kill. So the first enemy kill you get 10, then 20, then 30, etc. It rewards not taking damage. It seems to reward you more on boss stages if you DON'T utilize certain powerups because your score is also based in part of the number of hits. There was one boss I couldn't beat the computer's high score until I figured this out, as I had upgraded my weapons.

HMMMMM  laugh

ok... so my first thought is, just use the total points score for story mode, at least for now.

But if there is a specific reason why each stage score should be charted twice (story mode being different for high scores) -- then maybe we should...(?)

@iamthefallen1: By the way, on the Hybroxia game, you can replay the 15 stages in story mode repeatedly and each stage has an individual high score board in addition to the story mode accumulative total.

@S.BAZ: I can't vouch for the other systems but I assume Habroxia would be the same on all systems. It is not a very long game and is easy for a shooter, but I had fun with it.

Hi! I'm adding your Habroxia requests. I'm assuming the charts are the same on PS4 & Switch, so I'm adding them all for all 3 systems. Please let me know if you are aware of any important differences. thanks!

@CousinVinnie: Fat Axl is the 7800 game which is similar to Fast Food. Your objective is to score more points by eating tacos, pizzas, onion rings etc., and avoiding Slash and Poodles. Fire button is used to start a game only.

No I haven't but I likely will. I'm building my Atari collection slowly but surely and now that I'm finally free of credit card debt, I have more money for Atari stuff. I'm working on completing the AtariAge homebrew collection.

Have you ever tried FAT AXL and SCAMMER BRAWLER for 7800?

I received these 2 games on cartridges and I tested them on my Atari 7800 Prosystem Console.

And my Super 78 Edladdin Controller arrived safely in my house. With the new joystick, I played Pole Position II and 2 homebrews mentioned above. It was very, very fun!!

It wasn't an issue of not doing my best but of people not voting. I still have scores I posted three weeks ago waiting on votes. So it isn't enough to simply beat a score, it appears I have to lobby for votes as well. It seems to me that there is an inherent flaw in the way the contest is run that should be addressed the next time they run a contest. I beat 60 scores but I'm still waiting on votes for 90% of them.

Don't be sad by losing a prize from the last competition realized here (2016 Summer Contests - Atari Systems).

For the next official contest with Atari Systems, do your best with your console and emulator.

I will, though I'll slow down some after the contest. Unfortunately, real life gets in the way; I had a lot of work to do so that's why I'm getting in late, but work has slowed down so I have lots more free time now.

Good to see you present on Atari Contests like the 2016 Summer Contests.

After the end of this Summer Contest, continue playing 2600 and 7800 games on your Prosystem Console.

Periodically I'm using my Atari 7800 Prosystem Console which I won by being the top Worldwide Trophy Cracker (Atari 5200 / 7800) on the First Quarter of this year (Q1 2016 - January to March). My favorite game played with console is Missile Command.

Generally, when I play an Atari game, I use standard or "Beginner" difficulty. I don't use emulators, I use an actual 7800. And yes, I use a Sega Genesis controller with an Edladdin brand Geneesis-to-7800 adapter (and it is awesome), mostly to preserve my joysticks. I have a "Euro Pad" as well but I also wish to preserve it as much as possible.

My favorites on the 7800 growing up were Xevious, Food Fight, F-18 Hornet, and Ms Pac-Man. For the 2600, Adventure, Haunted House, Yar's Revenge, Pac-Man, Defender, Berzerk, and Journey Escape were my favorites.

I am very grateful for the homebrew community for making more games for my favorite system. My only wish is someone finally makes Mr Do for the 7800!
