No VCS or joystick shown anywhere for such a big score. All of your pictures show the same tight shot on your TV. As I stated in AA, let's see a video of you turning on you "VCS", putting in your Frostbite cart and scoring 500k. Then you'll get a yes vote from me. This particular entry SHOULD be deleted.
Screen goes blank after the 84th wave brother.
Yes sir, Atari Jr.
Shorted yourself 10 points, final score showed 3,750.
Final score shows 20,920 fella. 20 points is 20 points. I'll skip.
Rollovers count with video evidence absolutely.
Rollover at 12:45
Rollover at 19:00.
As previously stated, here's an even better score with video.
Final score shows 67,680. Your off by 2,000 fella.
Yea, pretty close, better times coming.
Final score shows 1550 fella..
Rollover at 13:07.
First rollover at 6:52. Second rollover at 12:48.
Pic shows 646,800 Baz.
Made a video with an even better score. Uploading soon.
Perhaps its a homebrew version of the 7800 for the 2600, I don't know. All I know is that it's Atari Flashback 5 Space Invaders.
Wilford not Ms. pac-man.
There's tons of hidden things in Solomons Key. The score I have here is nothing compared to my score from years ago, over 17 million.
Full throttle no wrecks. In the A difficulty setting, the car goes faster than in B setting and the oncoming cars dont honk their horns. 54 is pretty much tops in the B setting, 70s plus can onlty be achieved in the A difficulty setting.
The number one at top left is score (number of guesses). 625 was the code.
Mighty Bomb Jack and Solomons Key, two of the best games ever released for the NES. Bomb Jack is hidden in a level in Solomons Key.
Right on Brother! Happy New Year and Go Buckeyes!
Thanks! Left some on the table tho, room for improvement.
Scores right, but thats Mr Happy face, not Ms. Pac-man
Your off by a whooping 70k on this one, Too much Mr. Happy Face there fella, take a break.
Final score shows 29,420. Your off by 4,500 there guv'nor.
Back at ya Lid.
Yes, the same holds true for other games such as Quest for Quintana Roo, and Gustbuster. I always used the manuals (as you stated), until I memorized the various key commands for games with no overlays.
Not a bad game once you get the hang of it.
Plenty more bar raising and trophy cracking for everyone!
Gotta be quick to get a pic of this one. Screen goes dark after 20 - 30 seconds.
30 day pass be nice aswell.
The timer doesn't stop after grabbing the last treasure in this version, it continues counting down to zero. Actually had 2:05 remaing when I collected the last gold bar in this scene. Lost a Harry at 95,000, besides that a groovy run.
The difficulty switches have no effect on gameplay. But with the left one in the A position you can eliminate the background bird sounds. Like Pitfall!, Phoenix scoring should be in one category, not a B and an A.
The difficulty switches have no effect on gameplay. But with the left one in the A position you can eliminate the background bird sounds.
Final score showed 37,940.
Right on! Its taken me a couple of days, but I voted on all yours and everyone elses aswell.
Well that explains it. How bout some 5200 votes guv'nor?
Says the video has been removed by user.
You shorted yourself 180 points, every point counts in the endless battle against the forces of evil. Still a yes vote.
Advanced setting is 75% threshold.
Expert setting is 85% threshold.
The blue 6, to the left of the score, indicates skill level 6.
Had a better game on standard setting, but I'll take this score for now. So many games, so little time.
Yes 2 wicos for my 5200.
Video is uploading.
Your off by a point there fella.
The 55 next to the heart at the top right represents the score (hostages rescued and returned to command post safely). The 9 at the top left next to the cross indicates casualties. Highest score possible is 64.
You force me to get my 7800 out Lid, nice run!
Delete this entry and redo.
Start on Night 3 is the default setting. Fun and somewhat addicting game for the 5200.
Skilled setting is 65% threshold.
50% threshold is novice setting. It wouldnt be too difficult to score over a million on novice, there is no time line, sparx, or fuse.
The number 2 next to the Activision logo on the bottom represents the second rollover. The score rolls after every 10,000 points are scored. The first rollover is indicated by a steer head next to the logo. The numbers 2, 3, etc etc appear there afterwards.
The number 9 represents screen/pattern no. and is not part of the score.
First rollover around 10:00, second around 24:14, and 3rd rollover around the 28:20 mark. My recording device blew chunks unfortunately. Scored over 4 million still on second ball and stopped playing.
Score rolls after 10,000 points are scored. A steer head appears on the bottom of the screen next to the Activision logo.after the first rollover. The number two indicates second rollover replacing the steerhead.
Yea video shows 2369 Baz.
Can't recall exactly, 2-3 hours? maybe more or less.
Right on. Probably nobody has asked for levels 2-8 yet.
The numeral left of the score at the top of the screen indicates skill level. Yours shows 0 which is novice, not skill 1. I'll skip voting for now.
Nice run Scrab.
Not in Bazs league, but hey its a new personal best, im happy with it. Almost as good as a Frogger day.
The contest does look interesting but right now I dont have the time. I'm might sit out next 2600 HSC season aswell.
Under proper category now, thanks for noticing Sixx. That's what happens when gamers get old and grumpy.
Looks like a very cool game.
Thanks Sixx, that score is nothing compared to what I used to be able to do.
As previously stated, upon reaching 299,900, the word Amazing appears on the top left of screen.
5 squadrons (12 in each), + 11 tanks = 71.
My first endeavor into the Mame arcade circuit, boy am I rusty. Forgot my name tag, shame on me, but its on my youtube channel, definitely me.
The number 2, left of the activision logo indicates 2nd rollover = 20,000.
Ill give ya a yes, but any and all Pitfall! scores for the 2600 should be under 1 category, the difficulty switches have no effect.
Awesome game Baz!
Bit slow at times, but a great game!
Your not missing much, its an awful game, Konami should be ashamed.
Each scene is counted as 1 pattern, the respective pattern number is displayed left of the score. The 7 represents pattern/scene 7.
Thanx Sixx, the game is sick aswell and requires surgery, it's terrible. Top score for now at HSC, but another good battle this week.
First attempt at this version.
Yes same track just more cars increasing the difficulty level between each race.
Takes awhile to get used to the awkwardness of using the bottom fire button to hop around. The joystick is only used for the direction you want to go.
Novice setting is 50% threshold.
Expert setting is 85% threshold. Didn't getcha by much CoCo. Use to play this years ago at the arcades when it first came out. Another classic!
Can we get the other tracks, Practice Run, Namco, and Atari Grand Prix catorigized along with this, the Malibu Grand Prix?
Had this game for years, first time getting in to it. Slight differences in screens between this and the Colecovision version.
Haven't had the 5200 out in awhile, decided to spend some time with Bob. Great sequel to a great classic!
I saw the 244,500 when you died, then I see 260,500 when you put in your initials?
No trick for any event, you'll just have to work on building up your speed and jumping just b4 the line.
The white steerhead, next to the Activision logo on the bottom of the screen, indicates first rollover at 10k. Later on numbers replace it for numerous rollovers.
Is it emulated? I'll wait to vote.
8,600 - 8,999 for bronze.
% minutes I've scored over 40.
A shave aswell there fella.
Great CV game.
This is a Skill 2 score you should remove it and add it there. 3186 is not possible on game 1.
The top score of 3186 is impossible to get playing Skill 1, that is a Skill 2 score. There isnt enough time for one and the cars go half as fast as Skill 2. Around 2400 is max (give or take a few points).
Fun addicting game.
Crazy good Wilson, well done!
Another game where you have to be quick to get a picture before the screen goes dark.
Here is a video of difficulty A and a better score!!!
New personal best.
Ill work on a video.
Always a fun time with the Q*man.
Pretty easy on Skill 1, Super action controller wasn't a good choice though, got some bad hand cramps using it.
Long time since I played this great game. Super Action controllers still work great too! As with many CV games this one has four skill levels, this score was achieved playing skill one.
Back at ya Wilson, nice score!
My first entry for this weeks HSC 2600 game at Atariage.com
Nice score Ed got me by 3 points, guess I'll have to get out the CV and work on that.
Hey Baz you told me awhile back your were getting a new job. Did Serious hire you at Highscore? Or you working for Nintendo? Remember what your woman looks like? Dude you must play that Gameboy 24/7 woohoo!
My Real Sports Soccer score for this weeks Atari World Cup Soccer at Atariage HSC.
Ed is on a zaxxon binge, go ed!
Could roll this aswell if I spent more time on it. More difficult than the B setting, but not too bad.
Thanx, I was able to roll the score years ago, when I was a young jedi.
Video and a better score! Might come back to this skill level in the future.
No problem Rob, got some grass to mow then I will be more than happy to supply a video of Skill 4.
I remember some of those machines. Looks like a great place to spend a day.
Nice job Baz!
the difficulty switches have no effect in this game. Game 1, 2,3, & 4.
Nice score Wilson, I figured it Sbaz would push you on this one. Gratz.
Yea, I have always liked any version of Tapper. I had this score midweek for the HSC, but 2 pair wasnt much of a bonus, so I went with the 100,000 point game for the 5 bonus points. Gratz on your winning score.
I agree, a very underrated game. One of my favorites.
Was able to turn E.T. dark this game and get the designers initials to appear in the energy count at the bottom of screen. HSW eventually appears as the counter goes down. These pics show the W,
Spent a couple days on this earlier in the week. Had some recording problems thus the 3 part video. Could have scored higher but stop at this score.
No just 4 built-in games.
The difficulty switches have no effect in this game.
Cool old school motorcycle game. In stunt cycle you jump over buses. I break it out for parties and holidays, everyone enjoys it.
Thanks, I left some on the table though.
Yellow diamonds are worth 500 points each and they replenish the cars engine and armor. To get the yellow diamonds, I power surge cars that are on the far right edge of the road. As soon as the car explodes, move to the right off the road to get the diamond. The same startegy can be used for the left side aswell, but the right side works best for me.
Game locked up after scoring 94,820.
My score for week 9, season 3, 2600 HSC at Atariage.
A nice mix of Pole Position and Spy Hunter, great game for the 2600.
