Im not very mastered at non-touhou shmups, as most of these I have less than an hour of play in them, so while most of these new shmups i've been playing are fun (for the most part), i'm not very experienced in them. dont mean to talk down to anyone if im giving off that vibe
razer blackwidow 2013, this score is pretty bad due to me not knowing how scoring works whatsoever. I think really good scores are ~200 million? lots of rank fuckery and grazing, which is very weird for a cave game.
did another credit while i was bored in a call
horrendous survival play. milked stage 4 boss for a while cause no lives in stock
this game just annoys me
Game is too annoying for me to play further, theres probably an infinite scoring trick on the stage 2 boss however.
It's still rather unsettling, to be quite honest
pause in stage 3 or 4 whatever it was due to family reasons.
pretty fun game, the stage end screens are... weird
Pretty nice chaining, especially stage 1, you almost full chained it.
Chaining is something that I've always been poor at doing, i'm better at dodging than scoring that's for sure
Always good to see more stg players here
fast movement speed is my kryptonite
Input lag, I assume? or are there other issues with the mame version I'm not aware of
I dont know jack about Progear scoring, other than it's a lot of timing cancels with either laser or shot based on gem level, so a little too much for me. Shame this run didnt clear tho, I'd love to see you 1cc this unique game
Video soon, the outcome of pure boredom
The main issue I have with these older stg's is the power loss and checkpoints, its a pretty big turn off for me
Last time i played this I mustve been 8 or 9, cant play this style of game anymore
Horizontals arent my forte
Batsugun is an exception
90's toaplan is a virus that needs to be cleansed
Its default set to no extends on that version, while the normal japan version is 1 million per extend. In a game like Garegga you need proper suicdes to manage rank even for a basic clear
Type 2 rom has extends at every 2 million making it more obnoxious
i cant see bullets
bad game bad score
got bored in stage 3 so suicided
spammed initals with just AAA out of annoyance
Whoops, while the previous score was uploading to youtube I did another credit and got this. This is currently uploading so it'll be up in about half an hour or so.While this score is higher than Dumple's run, his run is far better than mine from a survival and experience standpoint, as his is a No-Miss 1cc and mine is a gameover to the last boss.
Will try to improve in the future, for now its rather meh
die once and the game gets boring cause no power
Really fun game!
you can die, you just cant bomb.
Very sloppy, Bad stage 1, good stage 2, missed extend and died on stage 3 stage portion, and trainwreck stage 4.
It's definitely a great game, probably one of the best. I'm just very bad at it.
Probably my weakest CAVE game. (Actually maybe something like Ibara or Ketsui is weaker)
I use keyboard, i cant imagine playing these games on a controller or stick
this game is pretty bad
no deaths, bombs used purely for score.really wish the other touhou games were added (along for all difficulties)
Nope, all my runs only use 1 credit. I only use continues in shmups to practice if needed. If its cause the last digit is 2, some shmups will give you a last digit other than 0 (This and mushihimesama are good examples)
Oh shit I knew I forgot something, usually I've been doing that. but forgot to this time, my apologies!
I plan to improve it in the future
ALL Clear!!!!! I did it!!
True last boss reached, sadly didnt clear...
Thats better! I advise pressing button 3 again right after you send the dragon out so it comes back to you right away and you can collect the gold coins
correct category this time
Thats pretty good, you can use button 3 I think it is to send your dragon at enemies for more points (they'll drop gold coins worth 200 each) and press it again to bring it back to you.As well as finding the hidden gold enemies that drop loads of gold coins.
I use keyboard
Ive never played it on real hardware, but compared to the steam port and superplays I've seen from real hardware, the MAME version is hella weird. For one, intentional slowdown doesnt exist, maing the game much faster than it should be, so something like Hibachi and say Stage 5 is much much harder compared to the steam/real pcb counterpart.it also feels like I have input delay too.
b-power because b-strong is for pussies
dfk on mame is also a god damn mess, barely would call it playable honestly.
extremely sloppy 1-all, us version is much easier than the japanese counterpart.and the hong kong version is practicially not possible to 2-all anyway so it doesnt count
1.51 is strange
I wasnt aware that was required, as well as not even knowing how to access dip switches in mame
Personally, I find it very relaxing to play.
Since it seems a screenshot isnt good enough, heres a video of a 1-ALL I did a while later, albeit a slightly lower score.
-1%? Im new to this, can you explain?
