I will not be surprised
And it deserves to go to someone who's better at Squish 'Em.
The *system* though. The system is not original Famicom.
Famiclones have different hardware.
Even VirtuaNES running on a PC can rock an original Famicom cartridge if you have an adapter. Still emulated. Even though the rom is on the cartridge instead of a hard drive. The rom is the same thing whether it's on a hard drive or on an original cartridge.
Whether or not it's emulation comes down to the hardware.
I think so, at least I would accept it
great job finishing this game though!
I see that's a can o' worms!
Most of the time, if games loop and continue giving you points, it's accepted here to keep racking up the points as long as the evidence gets accepted.
--but if you can change the difficulties in between loops...
definitely voting yes, this probably doesn't even rank in the top 20 scores.
Try this game on GBA, good game!
I like to try to find the ones that look a little bit like my letters, just for fun
What is NG+ ?
I think that's as far as I've gotten.
I guess named after Corben Bernsen who played in the movie Major League
Cool, how does that compare to the arcade game?
High-quality GB game!
Far as I know, same game as the Japan release, Contra Spirits
XD great Asteroids gaming!
is that the Edladdin on a 2600??
You almost quelched that bullshit troll-score!
Oh, I see. I haven't tried, but I suppose Stelladapter would work with other applications too. I assume the name references the original prototype code-name for the Atari VCS before release, "Stella."
I think I can notice a tiny bit of lag when using that! but after playing for a while it becomes unnoticeable. Have you noticed that at all?
it took over 3 years :)
was Corben one of the names already, or did you name him??
it's an adapter to usb for Atari controllers.
I can't delete a score, all I can do is vote.
I can add requested leaderboards, but that's all my admin abilities.
I voted no because I think a famiclone counts as an emulator.
Maybe Nintendo rocked out some Famicoms allowing other companies to re-brand their hardware? but I haven't seen info about that.
This score's not deleted. It's currently at 71% legit. if it gets more yes votes, it can get accepted. But I think it should go under emulation.
Are you using a Stelladapter?
This looks awesome!
Wow I'm surprised to see this is the first score for this game, any setting
...and on the Vita! haha
that's not easy!
alright. A proper bit of voting on this one!
I'm surprised I've never played this before....
One thing I know from experience, Tetris skills are kind of like riding a bike... so you can do it again with some practice! (or at least something close-like)
Anyway I hope to see your scores get accepted!
If he played this on a plug-n-play then most likely this is not an Arcade emulation. The Namco Plug-n-Play devices made by Jakks Pacific don't emulate (at least not the ones I have, which include Bosconian). The games are ports with their own code.
So it should really be submitted to the proper leaderboard for that device.
it's finicky, lol. I just keep trying different ways when that happens.
if you can post it somewhere else then link it from there, I think that always works.
yeah, lucky me!
the arcade was closed too, but they let me go in & play :)
Oh my goodness!
to quote a local arcade guy: "most people don't walk in here and put up a 200kscore on ms. pac-man"
maybe, but you'll probably need to get another score and have your name in the picture.
these Sachen games ported over from the Mega Duck or whatever it was they were on...
completely awful if even playable at all. This game is apparently unplayable.
It gives you randomly generated animals to drop and match, something like Tetris Attack or Yoshi. But whoever programmed it failed to ensure that you don't run into impossible scenarios. There was nothing to match the octopus with, and it kept giving me nothing but octopi. Each dropped piece that doesn't make a match, evaporates. So all I could do was keep blowing up octopi as I dropped them, while the stack SLOWLY pushed its way up so I could get my damn game over and call it a day.
wow, this game is awful!
cool game! I love all this homebrew action!
Nice barrell-roll ! Ha!
I mean, even just between different emulators there are differences like that. One Genesis emulator might run games slightly faster than another. Or maybe one Genesis emulator might run most games exactly the same, but causes a few to behave a little differently. So the "Emulated" category already isn't exactly fair in that sense. I don't know how it can be sorted, other than having separate tracks for each game, one for every different emulator, and one for every different non-original hardware platform.
It does make sense to do that in terms of creating even playing fields, but then someone is going to have to track entire catalogues of games, something like 20 or 30 times each in order to accomodate all the different options available for gaming on each and every platform. And HS has generally operated on the basis of tracking original hardware scores in one section, and others in the other section.
Again, this is just my own point of view and not all of us have the same ideas here.
Possibly we could make an exception just for Arcade games on FPGA hardware? But wouldn't that mean we should go back to adding more duplicate tracks for the other non-original hardwares too? Like some of those multicade boards, which as I understand are not emulated via coding, but are made using hardware recreation technology.
Dang, lots of no-votes!
It would help a lot to get this score passed, if you have your user name included somewhere in the photo.
I hope you can re-submit and get it to pass! Great score!
and, welcome to highscore :)
I wouldn't hold my breath xD
hmm... still can't see it
good grief! I gotta be more careful here...
video is unavailable
I agree about "double-dipping" but this isn't a port.
ok I understand what you mean by that I think. Meaning, not a port of the hardware, right? It took me a minute to figure that out, lol
The reason it leads to double-dipping here is that non-original hardware is widely accepted in the "Emulated" category. So, even if we have a special category for FPGA, and FPGA-achieved scores are accepted under the FPGA category... we still would have the other chart it can go to as well ("Emulated")
... so then we would have two charts for each of those games, both of which one could legitimately submit the same evidences to, and have accepted.
This is what happened when we made categories for Atari Flashback, Virtual Console, Jamma Baby Star, Pandora's Box, etc.
Some users started submitting the same achievement to two charts and having both accepted.
just to explain my vote, and why this game has been added this way:
So far, what a bunch of us have done is to distinguish between "software emulation" and "hardware emulation."
meaning, "hardware emulation" to include technologies such as FPGA.
so far, we have been categorizing both types of "emulation" in the same category, "emulated."
there were some exceptions when we started making extra categories for specific emulators (like Virtual Console, Atari Flashbacks, etc.) and for specific non-original hardware setups (such as Pandora's box boards/Jamma boards/ NES-on-a-chip, etc.)
then it became apparent that this will lead to excessive amounts of redundant charts for the same game "emulated" in various different ways.
It also leads to "double-dipping" with the same score run, as users can submit the same evidences to both categories (once to, say, a particular famiclone category, and then again under "NES emulated" -- for example).
So as far as I know we are not currently adding any more charts for specific emulators (like Virtual Console) or more charts for specific non-original hardware technologies ("hardware emulation") such as FPGA.
This is not a hard rule at Highscore by any means. There may be some admins who will add tracks like that, I don't know. Also, some users may not even have the opinion that orig.hardware and otherwise should even be separated at all. Some users may consider FPGA acceptable as original hardware, and vote accordingly.
So I guess it's an ongoing conversation but I hope that helps...
anyway, welcome to Highscore !
belongs in emulation category
sorry, no vote here
That's an improvement ^_^
this is a great version of the game HA!
Good evidence and good score!
that was hairball at the end
seems a lot of title screens, lol
The picture is too bad to read accurately, but you can clearly see the 1 appear in the 100,000's place, so clearly I scored over 100,000.
good score! that's tough
nice to play an arcade game that only requires 1 hand :)
mislabeled the video but scores match.
looks much better than my GG!
OK, now both pic and video are available
sorry for the inconvenience but this is an exceptional page!
also notice, stika's evidence no longer displays:
something's wrong, can't get evidences to display
Keep going, you can do it!
I unlocked Zelda by having tons of fun & love those games
in fact... where's my star score??
man, I wanted to get into making scores on this game last year
never got round to it, lol
I re-submitted it.
more scores to come!
Score corrected, thanks Frankie
will correct, thx!
...another couple of points:
"Each time you die you go to the select character screen and it says continue game, with the remaining lives you have."
not correct in my opinion.
1) It says continue "last" game. (meaning apparently the one most recently concluded)
2) It doesn't say anything about any remaining lives.
I noticed it still offered for you to continue again at the end of the video. so presumably it doesn't just give you 3 tries.
if the continues are limited...
There are also lots of games which do have a limited # of continues. Some give you 1 life per credit, some 3 per credit. But just because the continues are limited, it doesn't mean they aren't continues, and we don't therefore count continues as lives.
You can request a [Continues Allowed] chart for this game, or you can submit a score of 4295 to this chart.
Obviously you can do whatever you like x)
-just a suggestion
and... WELCOME !
sure looks like continues to me.
it says "to continue last game, start player within [countdown] seconds.
when you continue your score resets to zero.
If that's not a continue I don't know what is.
I would think your score for this submission should be 4295.
ya that's a delta in the pic
HAHahah now I finally know what Arrow Hero's all about
that was fun to watch
ok It's done! :)
Do points correlate directly with # of moves? If so we're fine.
If not we need to either cancel this chart or adjuse the title. -- do you still want a lowest score chart for 2084? If so I can adjust the title.
If you don't care to have the chart, remove score and then I can remove the chart. :)
HA, except I don't know if Donald Trump can make other people more like Donald Trump
I thought you wanted a chart for finishing in the fewest moves.
So your score then would be your # of moves...
and lowest score being best. That was my understanding.
So did you mean, finish the game with the fewest points?
If so we should probably clarify that in the title. Sorry for the confusion!
thanks, I'm gonna need it to get this one accepted!
I mean, why not just suicide in the first fight, to get the fastest time.
No, speedrun means finishing the game.
ok, I see it now in fullscreen
Any relation to Jorl Suprenant ?
legit by me. These are the best CC evidences. video included, scores match...
I read the essay and enjoyed it x)
YES vote, legit score
yes vote, legit score
disregard troll votes
Isn't this chart for # of moves?
this appears to be your score in points.
Ha, how many times will they make the same game w/ different name & characters...
Why not farm points??
it's the 10-min. challenge!
This game's tough, reminds me of Twin Cobra
# of balls ahown in the bottom pic
voting YES !
oh, hilarious, that's exactly what came to mind.. ??
hopefully we can boost this one back up to 80%
you actually scored over 40,000 pts !!
way more than you posted.
i'm voting YES!!
This is a game I always liked, even though I thought it was "crappy"
you've entered your Best Lap time.
this chart is for your 5 Laps time.
voting no on this one.
It's for total # of HR's
yeah I saw 89
again, you've entered your score wrong, but your actual score in the video (00:00:26.765)
is far better so I'm voting YES !
last box shoult say 23.95
Anyway your real score is far better than the one you submitted, so I'm voting YES !
this uses emulation, no?
kinda looks like emulation via raspberry pi or something like that.
prob. gonna need a video on this one it looks like.
welcome to HS.com!!
that's how a CC score should look
only one more thing -- include a name tag in your photo for even better chances to pass!
Dang, props to whoever programmed that one!
in a fight to the death you gotta do whatever it takes! lol
what's RGB ?
i don't see the score on this one eeither. skipping for now.
I can't read the score ??
but it's just a gang of *** trolls
Very impressive looking game for O2!
looks like the troll brigade stopped by :)
woah I never saw this game before
how do you like it?
yeah that game's intense. I remember it getting pretty stressful. We played it for a week in the HSC
Well at least you beat tboth HS.com WR's
Same here! I like how he gladly gives full attention to a minor detail :)
dang, i wanna play that game!
Someone finally cracked my score!
this is Deebo.
I hope you can successfully re-submit this run!
One of the original ideas behind this site is that one can look to see how to get good at any game. Your submission fits that description better than most top scores here!
Sometimes it just doesn't make sense. Maybe different people were voting this time, or who knows?
I'd jus keep crushing on and on!
Good evidence, yes from me!
Congrats, keep going for the top score!
What I'm seeing,
The current world trophy score has a video. So probably in fairness this should have a video for evidence to take the new top spot.
Don't worry about the reasons given, some times they make no sense!
Yes vote here. I only vote strictly if it's a really big score, or breaking world trophies
props to imagic though still
Great score. Destroys all competition. Needs video.
I tried this on Stella, with the rom I have the default game is Game 1.
Great evidence, doesn't get much better than that.
definite YES vote here!
definitely yesses from me
what a fun game
... and omargeddon used a video
verified! The obstacle layout prooves it's game 4
maybe some users want a video because it beats the top score though...
low score so I don't require excellent evidence -- voting yes!
!muy divertido, la musica en el fin!
This appears to be Galaxy Force II
Sure, if you'd be willing to delete it I'll add the Game 3 (Atari 2600) chart.
I think we can trust these modern programmers making high-quality games to have their info correct. Unlike a lot of the 3rd-party early-80's hurrying to copy Activision!
Serious designed it so Atari games that don't use the diff. switches go in the (Atari 2600) section, and games that do use them go in the (Atari 2600 Expert/A) or (Atari 2600 Novice/B) sections.
So, to keep these distinctions consistently defined, this score would properly go under
Thrust+ Platinum [Game 3] (Atari 2600)
However, Serious told the admins, if a game gets added in the (Expert/A) and (Novice/B) sections, even though it doesn't use the diff. switches, it's ok to leave it there just in case, since we did find a few games where the switches do change the game, even though the manual says they are not used.
So for this game, your score properly belongs under
Thrust+ Platinum [Game 3] (Atari 2600 Novice/B)
or (Expert/A) depending on how you've set your switches.
There are two possible problems with the way you've entered this:
1) Most likely, users entering their scores in the official proper way will easily top your score, since they played the default game (presumably much easier). So that's why I don't mind voting yes, since you most likely have a disadvantage entering it this way, so it doesn't seem unfair.
However, it could possibly cause a bigger problem:
2) Occasionally a game will score differently on harder settings, giving you bigger scores and/or bonuses. (For example, Streets of Rage) That makes it impossible for users entering their scores correctly to challenge you, if it's impossible to get those scores on the default setting. I don't think Thrust+ does this, so it shouldn't be a problem. But this is why we try to keep it more exactly defined the way the categories are designed.
Hopefully that makes sense x)
28,495 isn't highlighted but it does correspond to the middle setting in the screenshot
Ah, I see. It can be confusing with these atari games. Actually A/Expert refers to the difficulty switches, and the game # refers to the options available using the game select switch.
Even though for this particular game the way you've posted it might make more sense (like if the diff. switches aren't used), for consistency's sake across the entire 2600 category, A / B refers to the diff. switches.
anyway, i'm voting yes! for the reason mentioned above
a true marathon run...
another user had a long 12+ hour run of E.T. -- he split it up over several videos. Maybe you could do it that way, with perhaps a little overlap to prove continuity.
I don't see any lying or cheating going on here.
we were all pretty lazy with our evidences when this site got started... and lazy with voting. This evidence isn't strong for the top Frostbite score, but when that happens I don't suspect cheating.
...not the chart for game 3, but 3 is also harder so I think it's fair enough.
Yet another Zilch trophy!
one might think this looks boring, playing Defender for 2 hrs. but I've done it for fun many times...
played on one of those cheap imitation handhelds made by the company known as Dreamgear, MyArcade, etc... many of which run a NES emulator
bottom pic just to show what the game looks like
right, and it also hurts you a lot of the time, so... very challenging.
I saw a world record of over 300,000 pts!
needs better evidence.
i did too! Playing for points added a whole other element
head-butts pay the most points, so... it urges you to bash everyone with your face!
I got Space Instigators from a guy via the AtariAge marketplace. It comes in a plastic VHS-like case which holds the cartridge in place by velcro!
The instruction manual is a piece of cardstock and the writing looks like it was printed by a ditto machine.
Oh, cool - I didn't know they sold this one.
That's amazing, isn't it?
simply the depiction of Nazis?? Even if they're depicted as the bad guys... Life is wierd.
This looks great!
Awesome, I don't think I've seen this before!
plus the fact that these are not the proper Nazi sign which sits up diagonally in a diamond pattern.
So, is this where Helicopter Rescue on O2 comes from
arcade omega race on Genesis!
that was fun!
just in case, I think Missile Command TB is for 2600.
and I bet you're right about 5200 Missile Command supporting TB!
Wow, that game looks amazing@!
HA, this has the lowest acceptance rate I've ever seen
Even compared to a cat crapping or Rick Astley pics for evidence... wowswe...
looks like a mobile device?
But don't you see Pac-Man?
this looks fun x)
I loved that too...
Hi omar -- I want to make a request for you to remove this score if you don't mind, just because it will make it easier to correct.
It's harder to get a chart deleted if the chart has accepted scores on it.
this doesn't beat the top score, and welcoming a new user, I'm voting YES on this one.
wow, I haven't even tried that game yet and I've had it for years.
Ha good run
These G&W games are so surprisingly good...
Also this needs some evidence of the difficulty level. This has been submitted to the [Level 6] leaderboard.
yes vote here for sure
that is not a big score at all, no need for much in the way of evidence.
why split into several videos? maybe that had something to do with the no-votes. not having your name in there is probably the main reason.
Ha this is hilarious. I've seen the Famicom version but not Arcade. Thanks to zerooskul's verification I'm happy to vote YES
Wow, how did you get that as a kid? I thought it didn't get released.
I think Spice might be the best programmer ever on the 2600!
Awesome gameplay options!
this game looks amazing, it must be my next AA goodies! :D
yeah, great game and IMO the best version of Space Invaders!
Oh great, thanks for confirming my suspicions! Asteroids is hard!
Add a name tag visible in your video, to get more yes-votes!
the **** it isn't!
that's a huge score for level 2 !
shouldn't this be submitted to a "6 Ships" chart?
clearly not the official BBmemories cab.
this looks fine to me except that it demolishes the current top score so I think it should have a video.
no vote, sorry!
looks fine to me, not a huge score
just my thoughts... for voting...
Default mode ("0") is easiest, so no need to show settings.
Apparently played on Continual mode.
Initials appear to reasonably match highscore profile name
Possibly should have a video, but the current record holder only used photos.
Also, scores recorded elsewhere exceed this one by a lot, so even though it's a hard score to get, it's not so damn incredible either...
so screw it
YES vote from me!
the screen looks right to me and CSW looks like your name. I would be happy to vote yes, but...
the top 5 scores for this are all backed by full videos. I don't think simply a photo is good enough to take the top spot on this chart, it just wouldn't seem fair.
No for now, but I hope you submit again with a video!
video not available
I suggest re-submitting this score, with visible evidence
It looks like ZilchSr has just beaten the Berzerk record listed on that site.
Yeah, cool site! They have also released a few homebrews. I was pleased to see they listed my Super Cobra score from AtariAge High Score Club as the world record for a couple years before it got topped by the current WR holder. In a way it was kind of lame though since oyamafamily had a much higher score than mine and even provided a video. The guy who rocks the site didn't trust it though because of some previous drama. Happily, the largest of the three scores now sits as the record.
Another piece of trivia: They guy who rocks that site (Scott Stilphen) joined HS.com and put up a bunch of killer Atari scores, but most of them got rejected by the vote, since he had no videos and no name tag. They were all pictures from the 1980's I think. Unfortunately he got pissed and quit using HS.com.
Have you compared this with the difficulty of playing on Atari 7800?
I would have to do the test myself, but my guess is it's harder on the 7800
great evidences, btw.
I guess maybe the cats are real. Just frozen in a still frame.
good going, sir!
taking down my precious trophies that I won during contests!
I was hoping those cats were real at first x)
what a great game.
I've thought about getting into making my own repros for fun.
Although it sounds possibly expensive and time-consuming.
An example of actual trolling.
(see comment above)
this is once again, cncfreak's video for his score of 13,600 on Apple II Donkey Kong.
this list might be a good start:
Yeah it's no Gradius but an impressive treat on the 7800 nonetheless!
Oh great, thanks! I still would like to figure that out. The game would be really fun if I could shoot more bullets!
I sure would like to find a Planet Smashers cartridge too. It took me forever just to get Donkey Kong, Jr.
I just saw your youtube channel, pretty cool! Highscore.com-related youtube content (other than score runs)... I dig it!
For sure, I agree it's fine to vote yes -- actually for any reason. (or no for any reason)
I guess I just want to encourage users not to bash on other users for voting no.
Also I don't think they would be voting no because you didn't have the means to make a video. They would be voting no because your submission lacked the evidence they felt they needed in order to verify the score -- out of fairness to the current record holder.
I see what you mean, that you provided photos of the game selected.
However, those photos don't show that you played using those settings. See what I mean? For all anyone knows looking at these photos, you could have made a mistake and shown these settings for a score you got on a different game selection. This is what I mean about how it makes sense to vote no on these submissions. It's just one of those games that users can't verify the settings used unless they have a video to look at.
maybe a useful tip for recording with your smartphone: I use a rubber band to attach it to my tripod, which works for me.
I noticed myself losing points earlier in the game as well. I think it might be part of the scoring, similar to Astroblast. This game is like horizontal Astroblast.
There would need to be a video for anybody to be able to verify the score was achieved using the specified settings.
“Fair play to whomever voted no and the site is intended for people to use the no button and voting no is not trolling and we know this when submitting scores and it's to be expected when submitting scores and I like this site and how it works and I respect peoples' votes.”
(voting yes, small score)
it's ok if you've already got a score for it here... just play again and post whatever score you got that week. That rule just means you can't use old scores in the weekly contest.
the High score clubs are fun! Often I get my personal best scores playing in the HSC. (then I post it here)
The evidence is fine for me. I'm just acknowledging that it makes perfect sense for somebody to have the opinion that the evidence is lacking. So why shame folks for their vote? The no-button is an important integral part of this site.
As much as I trust you played on that setting (or at least that you believe you did), the evidence simply doesn't show that you did. The evidence shows what the screen looks like when you select the setting you're submitting for. And it shows that on some setting, you scored 53 hundred points. It doesn't show that you scored 53 hundred points playing game 4.
Do you see what I'm saying?
For example, for all a user knows, I may have mixed my pictures up and mistakenly thought I had got a certain score on a certain setting. This is why it makes sense for someone to vote no when I submit for a harder setting using only photos.
If all I had was pictures for this Infiltrate game 4 score, I would submit it, and I would expect no-votes and not complain when I got them. Because I would know that I had went ahead and submitted anyway, even though my evidence was lacking. And I would know therefore that it would make sense for folks to vote no. But considering it's not a very competitive score, I'd expect it to probably pass and it's something I would personally vote yes on (as I did here), so why not submit it.
About your second point, I understand that you don't have a setup for making videos. As far as voting though, that fact doesn't improve your evidence, you know? It doesn't have any bearing on voting. The evidence you submitted is what it is, regardless of whether you may or may not have the setup to make videos.
In my opinion:
Fair play to whomever voted no and the site is intended for people to use the no button and voting no is not trolling and we know this when submitting scores and it's to be expected when submitting scores and I like this site and how it works and I respect peoples' votes.
I don't know how this could be done without saves or continues. Same with the top accepted scores and they ony had pictures.
Hi, just fyi, Pinball Arcade scores get more support here when you use a picture of the online leaderboard. If this doesn't get accepted, you might try re-submitting with a picture of that.
...but where are the pie-pieces??
It's the evidence.
We can't see what game variation was played.
we can't tell from the pictures which game setting was played. We are all more than entitled to vote no.
As stated elsewhere, I'm voting yes on these due to the small scores, but that's just me, how I vote. Other folks may strictly adhere to a higher standard. Nothing wrong with that.
I welcome no votes to my submissions! And ESPECIALLY when I submit scores with no evidence to support the settings.
It makes Highscore a better place. :)
the evidence doesn't support the game settings.
voting yes. small score.
Photo of the instruction manual doesn't give any evidence of which game variation the submitter played. Same can be said for the other photos presented above. ...So why assume the no-vote came for some other reason?
It seems to me most users here are happy to vote yes regardless of evidence. Which is fine, but that doesn't make the rest of us "trolls."
That said, I'm voting YES regardless of the lack of evidence x). This is only since the score is so small I don't think it matters, although there is good reason for me to vote no.
Just to reiterate -- There is a clear and obvious good reason to vote no here.
So why holler "troll" ? Just my 2 cents.
perhaps because, although your submission does provide information as to what each game variation represents, it does not provide evidence of which one of those you played on?
personally I've played this game and I don't regard this as a big score so I don't mind voting yes irregardless.
Some scores for this game can't be entered; it uses letters as well as numbers. Fortunately I didn't end up with a score containing letters.
hopefully Skill 2 can be recognized in the gameplay, since the screen doesn't show which key I pressed!
well, it's not a great score anyway.
gsampson, killin it as always
I wonder, why it won't let me collect that boss-bandit but you were able to collect him?
Wow, hardcore score!
cool controller !
I like how your score is an anagram for 1983, also displayed on the screen!
yeah not too common. still cheap though, haha. a few have come my way over the past 6 or so years.
Oh yeah, it plays 2600 games too. So I guess only one file-type for 7800 roms that is. IIRC that is. :)
Yeah ProSystem is the 7800 emulator I mostly prefer.
I know what you mean!
Oh, cool. I tried to play Space Zap at a local arcade here, but didn't know what to do. A couple regular gamers were pretty enthused about it and had big scores.
If I remember rigbht EMU7800 only runs one file-type. Maybe if you tried using ProSystem?
Have you tried Stella?
yeah, I noticed that. Pretty cheap. they could have just been different game selections on the same cartridge probably. Well, at least the labels look cool...
One of my favorites, and #1 on my wish-list!
Great avatar x)
Also, you could post a slightly better time by using decimals in the seconds box.
Welcome back to highscore.com action!
Fantastic version of Tetris for the 2600 !!
Not to mention a fun unique game!
It looks like Arrowhead used a Harmony cart.
Running games via emulation does not violate any copyright, as long as it is done for personal use. According to the US Supreme Court, personal use does not come within the scope of copyright law. Use of emulation for commercial purposes however, may potentially violate copyright.
It appears there has been excessive exaggeration regarding the concept of "illegal downloading" which has sparked a lot of paranoia in the gaming world especially.
wow, I'm not sure I've ever played this.
good score! setting goal
"Mark's been rockin' Squeeze Box, Highscore never sleeps at night!"
Emulation is how I got back into gaming about 7-8 years ago!
It has a really unique look and feel to it!
Ok they're public now.
BTW, I love Top Hat Gaming Man, lol
What a funny guy.
Alright, for now I've just changed the Atari Video Pinball charts to (Dedicated Console), and I'll re-submit this score there. This chart I can change to something else and then submit a score for it, replacing this pinball one. Hopefully that works. Then if we want to add charts for extra settings we can do it later.
That's exactly what I do! xD
It's not the best quality video but certainly good enough for score evidences. I did have a camera-phone that had enough storage to record longer videos but it got stolen. My current smartphones don't have the storage capacity, although I could get an SD card to solve that.
But for now I still have webcams so that's what I use, as I'd rather not spend $ if I have something that already works. One thing I like about phone cams & web cams is you can show your ID tag in the picture while recording, or even get yourself in there.
Also, thanks for understanding :)
btw, it's been good to see more Atari scores from you :)
submitted in AtariAge 2600 High Score Club.
I always vote by my voting standards and don't suspect anyone of cheating, same as I've explained many times. You are clearly familiar with the way I vote, so if you happen to topple the current WR and only submit a picture, I assure you -- you can ALWAYS expect a no-vote from me. If you have a submission like that go through at 100% you can be sure I missed it and did not vote.
I don't vote on whether I think you made the score, I vote on whether I think it should be added to the leaderboard considering the evidence given.
Honestly it baffles me the amount of careless yes-voting on this site, and sadly I think many serious gamers have gotten bored with highscore for this reason.
But genuinely, congratulations on your achievement anyway because that score is truly outstanding. You might consider recording one of your runs as I'm sure you can get the world record at Twin Galaxies as well (which currently stands at 473,648 by John McCallister).
Still haven't got Oystron yet. Unfortunately I can't really afford to buy new games. The vast majority of my collecting comes by way of lucky finds and bulk lots where I keep a few & sell the rest to get my $ back. I do have a couple of gift certificates for the AA store though, so I plan on getting a homebrew or 2 sometime soon. Sadly for Oystron, a few others have bumped it down on the wish-list...
Yes, I think most users here would recognize that's a 2600 game, especially when submitted in that category. I would probably put in the comments, that my notepad had the wrong info, just in case though :)
Actually, you DESTROYED everyone's Fantastic Voyage score!!
I played that every day for a week in the AtariAge High Score Club and I ended up with the top score... still not even half of what you just put up !
In case you didn't know, you can zoom down the pathways and collect the sparkley things :)
Is there a way I can verify this is done on Marathon Endless?
I don't think so -- I've tried!
Actually you don't even need an account to edit Wikipedia. Just click "edit."
You only need an account to start a new article, or add a new sub-heading.
hmm... different game from Acid Fish though?
It looks right in the video
sorry to say, but Retrons are emulators!
apparently this score is from the Star Trek: Next Generation table.
Oh! I see what u mean xD
I like that use of the SNES mini!
Damn, nice score!!
I don't like Tetris Attack much, either.
I think I've played worse though... ever played the BPS version for NES? I also don't like Tetris 2.
Maybe you can edit the video and then try uploading again? like truncate at the end or something. If that doesn't work, you could play it back on your computer and screencap the playback! Then youtube would take it as a new video.
I gotta vote no on this one, sorry!
I trust you achieved it but just to be fair...
I like these chart-starting submissions!
But what a waste to have dumped all those games! Especially considering Atari Corp. went on reproducing Pac-Man & E.T. in 1985 & 1986 !
I know what u mean!
A real Conan game!
To take 1st place one should really get the C64 in the same video as the score, for future reference. I'll support this though... and it was fun to watch!
Played on the MyArcade "Pixel Classic" 8-bit dedicated handheld.
I would strongly recommend not buying any of these MyArcade handhelds at retail, unless you just would like to collect them to have more cool looking stuff.
MyArcade is just yet another name for the company which was previously called DreamGear, and has been continuously re-releasing the same batch of largely unplayable crap games under different company names since 2001 if not earlier. This one has a NES emulator and a handful of licensed Data East NES games, but beyond that it just has loads of garbage games. Many of these games I already had on the DreamGear 50-in-1.
The Pixel Classic feels like it's got nothing inside of it. Also, it can't be charged but requires 4 AA batteries which presumably wouldn't last very long, but I was unable to find out because the device actually stopped working after just over 1 hour of gameplay! I returned it to Wal*Mart. Very disappointing.
Just to be fair, I did like how it looks. The screen is very nice & bright. Also it didn't cost much (I think it was $23.88). So I guess if you're travelling and don't have a handheld this would at least provide you with 9 or 10 NES games. Pack some batteries. :/
the "Z" was flashing, you can barely see it :)
I have had 3 of those and one got destroyed when I put in the wrong power supply!
this is a wierd fun version!
I have found a bunch of flashbacks floating around cheap in my area. Garage sales, flea markets, craigslist, etc. $5 up to like $20. Haven't seen the Intellivision one though. I got a ColecoVision flashback from a guy at AtariAge.com for $15.
So did coleco
yikes, isn't that a MAME cab?
BTW, not questioning the validity of your submission, just curious :)
Ok, but I was talking about the video. Not the game. The end of the game isn't shown in the video.
I was wondering why does the VIDEO end when you still had 2 lives left? (and you're still alive)
See what I mean?
yeah, on some charts for games with a tenth like this, everyone is posting x10. Other charts got started off by simply rounding down. It's not consistent so we just have to submit it like others are doing on one particular chart. Perhaps this can all get edited and fixed some day...
the inside scoop!!
Only way I know is to get the video in some file format and upload it to youtube. Then it will play here. The twitch link doesn't seem to work properly.
Personally, twitch playbacks don't work very well for me anyway.
But yes I agree, you have solid evidence and that is a crazy run!
BTW, this game has gone by a lot of titles! some very crappy versions out there as well...
honestly I never liked Quarth much in the first place, but the GB Quarth is definitely one of the better versions I think!
If it were me I would submit this score under "Emulated." Especially since it's not PB4
yeah I agree, it's pointless and cumbersome to have all these extra charts. Just one Pandora's Box category would be much better.
Ultimately, I would prefer to see Pandora's Box runs simply added to (MAME/Emulated) category. If it's not the same hardware as the original machine, it's simply "Emulated." IMO., be it via hardware or software emulation.
If I had the authorization to make these changes I would, but alas...
yeah just a bit more to go! xD
lol what was I thinking xD
The score in the picture is from the Atari 2600 version of Berzerk.
I'm curious, why is this Jamma Pandora's Box 4? and not arcade.
I wonder what happened to my score on this??
maybe it got rejected.
welcome, double-triple x 1 !
as mentioned above, get your user name and/or initials in there for more yes-votes!
right, the proper category is "Game Boy."
Saw the video, voting yes
...but just fyi, don't be surprised by no-votes, it's best to make the video viewable here.
Right, I removed it!
yep, played on the Everdrive GB, which I recieved as a prize for the Game Boy trophy contest held here 2 or 3 years ago. I love it! I'm on a Game Boy odyssey, trying out every Game Boy and Game Boy Color game. I've been at it for almost 2 years now, and not quite half way through yet... so expect lots more GB scores!!
Mr. Do!'s Castle !!
I'm amazed I never entered a score for this.
This is not a big score, so I don't mind voting yes with only pictures.
Right, however if the actual playout of the game is not the same, then it's not fair to have them both on the same scoreboard.
I think maybe they are the same (game-wise), but it's simply *called* meters instead of feet and that's the only difference.
Since I don't know for sure, I don't want to vote yes just yet, so that's why I'm inquiring.
excellent evidence as always!
Legit. Acceptable point grinding, since there is a timer preventing a player from sitting and leeching indefinitely.
HA, right and not many people complaining about the 2600 graphics xD
it's just an excellent version is probably why...
basically playable, but really not a good game.
this is one of those Sachen games made for the Mega Duck and ported over to Game Boy.
Really not a bad game
looks right here.
these can get a little confusing when the emulator colorizes them...
It makes it look a lot like a GB color game so I was slow to recognize...
I wonder, why it ended with 2 lives left? Also, niceswoop through the pink ghost at the end there. :)
Wall*Mart has them.
prices range range from location to location, but at the one near me they cost $12.88
"... in the same category" the 8-bit ones I mean :)
I got one of these and it stopped working within2 hours!
the Data East games are just NES emulated.
the other 300 games are just a bunch of terrible games already previously released on other dedicated consoles under different business names like DreamGear. (With a few exceptions such as Pinball for NES emulated).
I thought this chart was for the tabletop "MyArcade" mini arcade machine BurgerTime. (Although that is nothing but NES emulated as well.)
However I did notice the roms have been changed a bit, such as Bad Dudes not offering a 2 Player option. So I guess this chart makes sense! And all these little MyArcade machines can go in the same category.
I'm taking mine back to Wall*Mart !!
careful voting y'all...
I submitted this with pictures from the wrong game but was still getting 100% accepance rate
Exact same game as far as I know.
HA cool picture...
what are you all doing to make GB games so colorized?
that looks like a GBC title screen (!?)
I see my submission has the same, but others look more like an actual GB screen.
I thought this is not on the right chart! Is 500m the same as 2500ft in this game?
sounds like an awesome gf!
this is my least favorite Bust-A-Move game on Game Boy or GBC.
Man, I didn't think these times could be cut down so much...
again, not a big score so I'll still vote yes.
this has no name tag or what-not, but being a small score ranking below the top 10 scores in the US... I'm still voting yes.
sure, whatever you want to say it's all good x)
I was just getting tired of clicking through to all those but it really doesn't matter. Maybe it's just that I don't say how I voted unless I'm questioning how the voting is going on a submission, or I want to explain why I'm voting a certain way for some other reason.
I guess some folks may have different reasons than me so screw it! xD
ok it's all good
yeah there is no G 'n' G on Game Boy.
There is a GBC chart for "Ghosts 'N Goblins" though.
this needs fixed!
cool little collection... I always forget about this game. :)
great pictures :D
Those are some hardcore times whoever that was...
this game looks fun!
new goals for me!!
Ha! nice tactics
I never thought of walking along the wall and shooting diagonally... xD
Looks like a fun game!
* "COKE WINS" *
score doesn't match. I would suggest re-submitting with the right evidence, or with the score matching these pictures.
welcome to Highscore!
new personal best :)
It sure is!
But I'll take it if it's a Kunio-Kun game
I have a request to make, fellow gamers!
I get a lot of messages on my scores saying nothing but "I voted yes."
I go through my messages whenever I log in, & it burns up a lot of my precious gaming/highscore.com time going to all my score pages just to see this message over and over again.
I do appreciate the votes, but to be honest I have no use for that message as the information is already there for me in my legit %.
If you have some information for me regarding why you voted the way you did, now that is worth my time!
So I would like to request that my fellow gamers refrain from telling me how they voted on my scores, unless it comes with some information I can use.
And thank you again for your votes, I really do appreciate it. :)
Oh I see!
It looks like submissions on this game have been accepted when people play, pause to sleep, play more, pause to go to work, come back & Play more, etc.
I think that's usually not considered fair play, but I don't know about this. I do know it's easy enough that one can play on forever. I always thought in that case it's all about how long one can go on playing in a single sitting.
I would like to know people's thoughts about this.
Ok it's fixed now, thanks guys :)
this seems perhaps meant to be a sequel to Scramble & Super Cobra...
ok, I'll look into it :)
So it's not a password issue?
Once you're logged out, is there even the "Log In" option in the upper left?
wait, this is a speedrun time?
Don't you have to finish the game for that to count?
I never saw that console! :D
You can use decimal points, so your posted score is actually better than your actual score. Probably why you're getting so many no-votes.
maximizing the video, I could read the score
So sad that you have to have a disk with that...
Wow great score!
Are you able to log in yet? without making a new account?
what the... !
small score, voting yes but yeah.
Well that's disappointing! So I'm curious... does it count points when you drop fast? and does it give you multiplied points for multiple lines at once??
Yeah, or my preference is the original old school Atari controller... that works too!
You can always plug in a good ole' CX-40, or even a Flashback 2 controller, to play on that console and preserve your crappy ones!
Not exactly a great game, but it's better than Space Jockey!
Yeah still a fun challenge!
good version for game boy!
Nice moves for maximizing points!
Pretty good game, once one gets into it!
Nothing makes sense, hahah!
yeah pretty crazy, haha !
My impression: Sega made a pathetic version of Wonder Boy for SG-1000.
Score counted in cents, same as Mechafatnick's score under original hardware.
Run starts @ 1:58
Oh, that happened to me with the iPhone I had!
One of the reasons why I like Androids better. If my video goes too long, it warns me I'm running out of space, but if I finish the video, it will still transfer. On my iPhone, my Ladybug score was too long and I couldn't even transfer it to my computer!
One possible solution -- if you have another camera, you can film your iPhone playing the video for you xD
Anyway, I think you scored this legitimately... but I'm sorry to say I gotta vote no, just to be fair to OriginalGamer, who has the top score with a video to back it up.
Wow, Bamse, your Intellivision is a champ! That's like breaking your leg in a fight and then challenging the same guy again as soon as it's healed xD
Why won't it upload to youtube?
Wow, so that looks just like an SMS card game. But the American Master System won't play those?
That's a cool game!
You're right, Ghost Manor/Spike's Peak is most common!
(At least in N. America)
Big score, I never learned that game!
Damn, that's a hard ass score!
Just FYI, I always just keep voting the same as I always vote. But, I don't avoid to vote for anyone's scores including yours!
Dark Chambers on 2600 is meant to be the same game as the one on 7800, although they are quite a bit different. Gauntlet is a different game though. Dark Chambers is considered a predecessor to Gauntlet. (Gauntlet on the 2600 is not related to these games).
Dark Chambers is a port of the Intellivision game "Night Stalker," which was also later released for the 7800.
It's pretty goofy. It does have a kind of nice look to it though I'll give it that. Personally I like the 2600 version better, which is more true to the original arcade game. Surprising, since it's SEGA's own game.
I've still never seen a SG-1000 game...
HAHAH I didn't even notice x)
they can think I'm a nutcase
Fun addicting game!
Great pictures! :D
Yeah it was probably on most every 16 bit system x)
...not sure why I submitted my worse run back in April. My first attempt was better.
wow, I just noticed in the manual, most of the games have 4 difficulty settings as well.
Nice! I think I have a way to effectively "delete" the chart I added. If that doesn't work I got another idea...
I can change the existing charts to (Dedicated Console) category, and also add that extra game.
Yeah that game is really hard for me!
... But, ...
you're knocking me off the list!?
Yeah fun game!
Therefore I think the trolling can happen in the comments and discussions.
Oh yeah and sometimes in score submissions.
Ha good points
Still, the guidelines also suggest stuff like "I don't trust this user" and "Other" as reasons to vote no. The site also allows users to give no reason whatsoever.
So I think the intent is that the community has absolute control over acceptance of scores irregardless.
Yeah that would have been amazing! like someone beating R-Type
There's always the Retron77. But then again, for that price why not just get an Atari?
It plays great, one of the best versions of Q*bert I think! Maybe the best home console version.
Street Fighter was popular at an arcade I used to go to. Usually had people lined up at it. I tried a few times but it basically just sucked quarters out of my pocket while I didn't get what to do. So I mostly just watched!
Welcome to the site!
Video games sure was a good idea, wasn't it
I just want to avoid presuming somebody is trolling if the data does not necessitate that conclusion.
Yeah, I agree & understand it's within the rules to play on a GBA, etc.
All I'm saying is that I think my success getting 100% that time shows that 1 user doesn't agree with that rule, and they were willing to vote yes according to their own guidelines.
I may not agree with that user's guidelines, but I also wouldn't call that trolling.
wow, good run
that's your final score but I'll vote YES since it's lower.
nice, that's a hard game
Good GRAVEY !!
helluva bonus at the end there.
I think there is a user (here's to 'em) who has an exceedingly strict set of guidelines for voting. I think this user would vote yes in some circumstance...
I remember a while back when many users were hollering "troll!" about Game Boy scores (PLUS I was getting no-votes on my Game Boy scores)
...until I submitted this one:
--And suddenly there was a Game Boy score accepted with 100% legit rate.
good to see, Golden Axe should be tracked by the "Strength" rating.
For me pictures are sufficient, but... If it beats the top score I do want to see if it has at least as good evidence. This doesn't show that you did it within 3 balls. Euphonium's submission (the top score) shows he was on ball 3. So I don't know if it's fair to Euphonium to accept this not showing the # of balls.
So... I'm skipping for now in case you have a pic to add with the balls showing?
Anyways, it's always fun to see more pinball scores, and... Welcome to Highscore!
That was awesome, I like how you squeeze out those extra points!
+ I'm always lost at this game.
Interesting. I have a ColecoVision console with that same problem. It was like that when I got it though.
I don't know what the problem is, I thought maybe it's a PAL machine, but your story makes that seem less likely.
How long did this take??
how do you like this game, Frankie?
Wierd. Makes me wonder about some of my non-functioning games.
What was the issue? Not sending a signal to the TV?
So, would I need the manual to know which game selection is called what?
Oh! thanks, I thought I remembered your submission for that! I'll see if I can right that.
Ha, yeah. It was hard to get a good picture of the score.
Yeah, usually I'll at least go up to the bar and ask for a scrap of paper. This time I was just there with a friend and happened to take a few pics. This was just after my 3rd ball.
Blairally Arcade in Eugene, Oregon !
didn't get the tag in there
from 2600 High Score Club at AtariAge.
I just noticed I hit the snapshot a bit too soon, but the game actually ends in the video with a score of 33,200 and the bottom pic should be at the top!
Skill 4 difficulty level can hopefully be observed by watching the action in the video. At any rate, it's not a competitive score.
good to see those pictures!
I like Spider-man lurking in the alley.
...a name tag in there would make the evidence even better!
Flashback 2 also has Off The Wall hidden!
and... welcome to Highscore!
It reminds me a little too of Star Castle, & therefore also Yars' Revenge which was based after it.
pushing for perfection!
Although I like it better to use the score x 10 for Enduro, sometimes, this is just the way it goes.
Don't let it get you down buddy!
Yes, it's fine to give a reference for the video hosted elsewhere. However, some users may not want to go elsewhere to verify a score. It's fine but still may cause more no-votes.
No, it's not possible to upload video directly to HS, but if you have the video you can upload to youtube and then "Add Evidence" and choose youtube, so it will play for users to see right here.
I'm glad to see this got accepted!
I see, well although that does technically increase my chances of making it there, it's still basically zero chance. But one of these days...
Obrigada meu amigo!
to show the score is for "Expert" game, use the screen showing the dice-symbols
HAHAA fallenone hijacked your vote buttons!
I had to go to the comments so I can vote...
That's awesome, my best is about 1.5m
Score @ beginning, followed by demonstration of how to do it.
Maybe one day I'll do a USA arcade tour !
HAaaa, she wants a turn!
I am fortunate to know a guy who hunts for stuff to sell on ebay. He doesn't know (or care) much about pre-NES video games so he brings it all to me to test & explain... then he gives me stuff for the help (which is how I got this).
It has flipper-buttons on the sides :)
looks like only one no-vote so far!
HAHAHAHA, well this more than fulfills my expectations based on the title.
I never knew about this game, is that a homebrew? Looks impressive!
I think it duplicates the picture when you refresh the page just after adding the evidence. At least that's what it does with comments.
Everything under "More Settings" is left at default.
Awesome game! 8D
The Modes adjust what character/s to use and how they power up. Survival Mode does not allow you to collect 1-ups which is why it has a special chart.
Ha OK I'll see what I can do
wow, great gaming!!
my best is about 260k I think.
...And very kind of Tool not to care if their material is in videos!
Loved this game!
No idea why they didn't release it in the US for NES?? The Vs. game was in arcades everywhere.
YES vote here, saw the video.
for future reference, you may get fewer no-votes by puttin the video up here as well.
why not enter your initials?
Run starts @ 3:30
for people familiar with the game, Skill 4 can be recognized by the frenzied pace at the outset.
That was the first game I ever played on a computer! (I think it was called Jungle Hunt)
It had ascii-graphics
Ha I know, he's like Dwayne Johnson!
Also as OriginalGamer did, the Test Menu
I think F2.
you might get 1 more YES vote... by hitting "TAB" for the menu to show DIP settings.
anyway I vote YES.
How can we know what level and difficulty this was played on ?
Oh, I missed that!
I think it plays Sega Mark I & SG-1000 games as well iirc. It actually has a whole list of systems it emulates.
Yeah! I was amazed I'm the first to post for the Genesis version, emulated or otherwise!
I have a ColecoVision, but when it's not hooked up, or when I want to play a game I don't have, I use BlueMSX. It's an MSX2 emulator which also plays CV games.
I don't know if it helps or not, but I've used webcams and also phone camera to record video when I play on PC.
Also, when playing on MAME I sometimes record inp, then record a video of the playback. This is a little more tedious, but also convenient not to have to film every run when trying for a score. So I just make a bunch of inp's and then film, say, "Take 36," whatever is my best run.
The music in this game reminds me of Goonies, and Bandit Kings of Ancient China !
It's a homebrew.
That's always my favorite!
Skill 3 can be seen by the 9 flags at the beginning. Also, note the frantic pace!
As DuggerVideoGames noted, Game 7 begins at bridge 50.
Played at Blairally Arcade in Eugene, Oregon!
...failed to bring a name tag :(
I am submitting because it's a small score and not taking 1st place.
Thanks! ...and I forgot about Sega Pico.
Actually I never vote based on anyone asking me to vote for their scores. I vote when I have time to vote, and I vote for whomsoever's scores that come up (including yours) when I pick a category to vote on. But whenever I see yours, I do vote. And, all scores go through in due time.
Hmm, I think this is the only single player mode available. It is the same game mode played by the current record holder (Event). Also the same mode as the other score of 40, still in voting.
I think this is legit!
I'm not a fan of Pac-Mania either.
Wow, great run!
Bummer that last death :(
Yeah, I love that... they re-styled it like a 60's movie or something
In any case it looks way more action-packed!
I am not familiar with the settings for this game, but generally [Hard] is not default.
Sometimes the harder difficulty selections offer you more points for bonuses or bosses or what-not, so in general it is not fair to play on a harder selection than the one the scoreboard is made for.
I am sorry to say I'm voting "NO" on this one. I'm not one of the users referred to above as "Trolls". I vote by certain voting standards which I have decided on for voting. One of my rules for voting is: if the top score has a video, anyone defeating that score may also need a video evidence in fairness to the current record-holder.
My exception is, if the current top score is easily achieved -- ambiguous I know, but I have to just decide if it's grey area.
Your score I regard as excellent!! And to me it means you are an expert player at this game. I don't doubt you achieved it, but I think it is important to require solid evidence for exceptional scores especially when taking over the top spot.
on this one, sorry, it needs a video IMO... so voting no. (it smashes the top score made by JES who submitted a full external video -- not fair IMO to put this on top with no video.)
Lol, how on earth is this getting 56% ???? !!
clearest is dearest!
I was fortunate to play this game a few years ago.
Super impressive what people are making for the O2!
I played this recently too xD
Start @ 28:16
What a pain -- I got pretty far in the game but then I got stuck somewhere & there was no way to commit suicide, no timer... nowhere to go that I could find. My only option was to hit power and start over. And didn't want to play for another half hour. So I just got a score improvement and moved on.
hey I like those labels!
I'm always hoping to complete my Wico controller (i need the number pad)
My comment to Mark though, I just meant that I don't think there is any such thing as a "stolen emulator." Hyperkin makes commercial use of emulators but I'm starting to think there is no infringement because there is no copyright on emulators.
roms are copyrighted.
BUT -- let's not forget -- copyright only applies to commercial use.
gamers who use copyrighted video games just to play games, that's personal use... so there is no copyright law that applies to that. Same goes for distributing roms, strictly for personal use. Copyright has nothing to do with that so it's not going away.
sometimes a company gets bullied with endless empty threats until they finally throw in the towel, since it costs them so much in lawyer fees fending off all these empty threats.
I see 134,014,470 -- 3,000 pts lower than your posted score.
I do have a small reservation about this submission... usually playing on a harder setting than the scoreboard requires is nothing but a disadvantage, so it seems acceptable. However, sometimes there are bigger scores possible on the harder settings, making it an unfair advantage to play on the harder setting, for a submission to the default chart.
I don't know if Vapor Trail has any scoring discrepancy like that or not, so I'm reserving my vote.
Welcome to highscore! Just a fyi --
It would be best for getting accepted, to include in you photo a name tag or something showing pumpkinindenial made this score. Setting your initials on your profile will also help so we can see you are RES.
don't remember where I died. I think I played it 1-3 times. I remember it was fun, and a high-quality game!
have more roms vanished since emuparadise stopped?
I'm starting to think... maybe emulators aren't copyrighted?
I've had that glitch too... with my 1942 cartridge!
Try shooting the little planes flying vertically up, on side of screen...
Worth 5000pts each
this game has somewhat confusing descriptions.
Is this played on a Retron or something?
Sounded like a SNES.
anyway I'll vote yes anyways.
good idea x)
Eventually it becomes rejected... I don't remember how many votes that takes but I'm pretty sure it's at least 50.
that was fun, I love these games
You can upload the video to youtube and then put it here on highscore. It's hard to know from a picture if all 9 holes have been completed. It does look like the game is over though, as dark as that screen is.
Thanks for the explanations... Nice cartridge!
and... How did I know this Gradius 2 score was going to be from Gustlik??
actually I just noticed this score would not take the top spot.
anyway, same recommendations apply.
Welcome to highscore!
Sorry to see this got so many no-votes. This is most likely due to not having any indication that this score was made by Thefreckledone2. It is highly recommended, especially with a good score like this one (which would take the top spot) -- to get a photo of your device displaying your score, and have some kind of name-tag or mascot-toy or something in the photo as well.
Of course using video evidence (with name-tag) would work even better to get your score accepted.
looks good to me
yeah I've seen that a few times at the game store. I think it was $7.
The two I'm missing from the photo are Double Dragon and Rampage!
@atari2600forever -- nice Activision set! I have most of the titles but I see your labels are different, I like those pictures!
oh wow, yeah it's right there
Showing it power on would probably also help.
Same here! I got a Vader first because that's the one I had growing up but now l like the woodgrains better.
But... that's never too many consoles!
I did much better on this game but this is my only evidence.
There sure are a lot of games to play!
HA this is hilarious! "Yes we can" (out of order) LOL
I used to play this on Windows '93
Can you explain for me how this adds up?
I keep getting 19,465.
I like that hidden powerup at the beginning
I'll definitely be watching these next time I try Garegga!
top video is unavailable.
Also I wanted to say in case you didn't know, it's possible for a score to get accepted even after recieving 6 no-votes. A submission will remain in voting for many more votes for the chance to get it back up to 80%.
Cool, I'd like to see it. my brother and I get into playing Wonder Boy games and we like to give this one a crack! Maybe some day I'll beat a game in this series...
oh, maybe I'll try that!
Forgot to put up my tag! I think I was in a hurry and had to go. You can also see I had an extra life left.
Hopefully you can recognize my TV, and also it's not a big score (check out my emulated run currently in voting.)
you've got to be kidding.
you're gonna need a video for that score I'm afraid. BTW how long did this take?? (days?) this game is gruelling.
anyway welcome to HighScore! Keep gaming and posting scores!
Great videos, very thorough. Excellent evidence!
Also, I'm not familiar with that Tetris game, but from the picture it kind of looks like your posted score is a cumulative one over many games?
... yeah, looking at the other submissions accepted onto this scoreboard, the other users are posting their single-run scores. voting no, but I hope to see many more scores from Playschool1999!
Hi! -- Welcome.
It looks like you may need to have a name tag in the picture for more yes votes!
Video would help too with a dominant score like that.
Nice video, great time !
and ^ what he said :)
welcome to the site!
all it needs now is the name tag...
Is there any way we can see this was played with 3 balls?
welcome to HighScore!
yeah, setting your initials will help the acceptance rate. Even better, get a name-tag in view before taking the photo.
And of course, having your machine in view also helps a lot!
Looks good to me!
I like how it tells you the number of coins!
I always wonder why my brother & gaming friends don't want to join High Score. Well, whatever. My brother did sign up and post a couple 1st place scores but he never did anything after that and now he's forgot his password...
I was also admiring the Atari cameo!!
I don't see a PS2 so I don't know if it's emulated or not. However this is also not too incredible of a score and the evidence is otherwise great. So I'll vote YES.
I don't know how to tell if this is the Jamma 60-in-1.
Also I'm not sure this big score shouldn't have a video for evidence.
So I'm just going to skip.
Hi, welcome to HighScore!
A note on what may be the reason for these no-votes--
It's possible some folks want to see the system so they can know it's not emulated. It's hard for a lot of people to know the difference between emulated and original hardware if all they have to look at is a video capture like this. And being as it appears to be pretty fantastic run, they may be the more critical/skeptical when voting.
I would recommend using a phone-camera or webcam etc. Or even better to use both. (I use just a phone cam which is sufficient to see the gameplay & score & system bootup, etc.)
Wario Land is one of only two games I have for the VB!
I haven't got much into playing it though, it's kind of awkward (I'm missing the tripod for one) and also very difficult to get a picture of the score.
I think it happens when you refresh the page after posting a picture. At least that's how it happens with comments.
Nice score though!
Yes from me
Perhaps having a name tag in there may help with getting it accepted. I just use a little picture that I can move around and show that it's part of the screen while recording. People are extra strict voting on hardcore excellent scores like this so this could perhaps account for some no-votes.
I always prefer the "+" control rather than the "x". I was used to this for the arcade and 2600 versions.
maybe you can get an insignia in the screen while recording, like I do with my little logo for emulated attempts. I thought that might help getting the score accepted.
score rolls @ about 17:30
unfortunate final death!!
Wow, nice run
I don't remember this game, looks fun.
I'll accpet this, but I can understand why people voted no. It It breaks the current record and does not have the video for the score posted. But I also support being a little more lenient with new users. Welcome to the site!
I think this can qualify as played on a real NES!
DarQ Massacres did that at AtariAge High Score Club:
de nada -- bem vinda para highscore!
eu tenho possivelmente mau pobre Português?
Google traduzir !
YES, I agree in this case the difficulty switch setting does not affect my vote.
Just the fact that the score is very impressive and that the current top score has a video evidence.
Some of these Jakks devices say "Toymax" on them instead of Jakks Pacific. I don't know why. What I look for is the "TV Games" logo in the shape of a cartoon-TV. Both Jakks and Toymax controllers have this.
So I think maybe Toymax is a division of Jakks.
Are there some games on your console which are not yet added to highscore?
here's an example of what I'm talking about:
you and Larquey have the joystick. The "Jakks Pacific Activision Joystick."
A "pad" implies that there is a thumb-pad on the controller, like this:
nice run... never heard of this before.
YES, that is the solution to the terrible controls of the 5200 :)
Wait, that was the time trial. We apparently don't yet have charts up for time trial yet.
The "Cup" races are with the computer opponents, so it isn't fair to use a time trial score on this chart.
I will go ahead and add charts for the time trials. It may take me a week or two to get through it though.
Wow awesome score!
Probably going to need a video for a score like that though. Users here get tough on evidence if the score is very impressive, and especially if the current top score has a video.
Welcome to highscore! I hope you have many more rockin' scores to submit :)
The best score I've seen for this is 76!
I see. I have the double-Dpad plug-n-play one, so I'll hook it up & see if it has the same games.
Yeah, makes sense! These look like the same console and should be merged.
In fairness I wanted to replace my score with a video. Hilariously I got the same score twice! So here are videos of both times I got 171,000 pts.
WOW, great score!
I'm sorry to hear about your illness, I hope it improves. I never heard of Porphyria before.
When I started collecting, a freind of mine was out of town and a guy offered hime a Vectrex +15 games for $100. He didn't know what to do with it so he called me and said if I wanted it he'd pick it up for me. I said "hmm, what the crap is a Vectrex. I think I'll pass."
That's exactly where my game ended x)
A Queen table would be great. We have a IRON MAIDEN table in town here.
these are pretty hard to sort out.
That one with D-pads says "Toymax" on the bottom instead of Jakks. But it still has that same "TV Games" logo on it, which usually appears on Jakks games. To make matters more confusing, There is also another Activision plug & play that I've seen at a flea market.
I think that's a different console. I thnk the Activision TVPad is a "joypad" style controller with D-pads.
it says 30,800 and "Hard."
still I vote yes, lol. I figure it would be harder to get on Hard mode and the score posted is smaller.
Great video xD
nice game room too
Suicide at the end?
For bigger scores this game should have a video due to the many easier settings, but for now these are not big scores so I vote yes!
YES, Sega Genesis plays Master System games with compatible hardware, not emulation.
Is this the best Jaleco game on NES?
the Trick Shot is pretty fun.
There was a time when I used to reach this score on 1 life, whenever I felt like playing Contra. These days I haven't even finished the game on 1 credit.
awesome run, BTW.
Just to be fair, I think you shorted yourself by 10 pts. The highest displayable score saves to the high score, but technically I'm pretty sure you earned the 10 pts that got you back to zero.
Game B was my favorite!
nice... funny game x)
A picture is worth a thousand words.
or, as OriginalGamer says, it's a "Game Boy Purist."
the top ending has a flying saucer on the launch pad but the entire Kremlin flies away instead. I think this happens at 120k iirc.
hilarious, a Wild Ride clone with DK theme ??
yet another improvement... pushing the limit!
one of my favorite Coleco 2600 games.
12 votes left now.
YEAH the original Game Boy was amazing!! And rightfully to defeat all competition even while the others had color & graphics, etc. Tons of great games.
And, yeah I was impressed with this game. I only played about a half hour so I'm sure the score isn't hard to beat. I kept trying to make use of kicks to make it more interesting.
Aha! So for now I get a trophy x)
Happy Birthday young Jedi starfighter!
That looks fun!
"Very Hard" shown by star in upper left corner
wow my Taz score passed! I'm sorry to top your score without a video. I'm adding a goal to beat that using a video.
hey omar -- I wondered, which table is this chart for? And I assume you played "Normal" speed?
so I can add the other ones. :)
Oh, great then I definitely agree !
And, agree w/ GTibel :)
After playing at the High score club, I didn't think this was too big of a score. Now I see omar had a video for his top score, so I'm not surprised this is getting no-votes.
thanks guys :)
so far we've kept these collections separate from the emulated category, but for now since there is no Switch category... I'll vote yes.
btw -- is this a collection of games that came on a disk? or is it more similar to Virtual Console where you download roms?
looks good to me
?? -- i don't understand.
so if you won 2 points to 4, your score is 24??
I thought your score is 3 here.
now that takes patience!
maybe some day. I like Donkey Kong games but for some reason not this one so much.
It's a good game! I recently got it at a game store, pretty fun platformer game.
good score and this looks legit, but I think it should have a video since the top score has video evidence, and this beats the top score by more than double.
why do you have so many different accounts? I think you must have 7 or 8 by now 8/
didn't get my tag in this one but the score is crap. The controls for this are crap.
Highly recommended! My pick for the best home console pac-man cartridge!
Highly recommended for this game -- the music track called "Chykka Larva" from Metroid Prime 2 (on endless repeat).
still not the greatest evidence but that's what I was rocking in 2013. I think this is one of the first scores I submitted here.
I think I had that on photobucket and it disappeared.
see if this works...
what the... ?
Yes vote here, good video
I never played Meatball version, but I like this game better than Asteroids...
and Space Rocks even better :) (2600)
I don't see anything about "Hard"
This is actually a wonderful picture.
This looks great!
didn't know about it.
I would accept it, the Game Gear runs MS games with a little adaptor... and I would assume vice-versa.
which makes things pretty hilarious as far as categorization goes...
It looks good to me.
Great score in my opinion, and especially great dodging skills!!
That's a tough score! this game is at least as hard as the arcade game to reach 20k.
And -- this chart needs more action!
wow, sorry it took me so long I just saw this x)
yes, default is Normal.
I never knew those were so good until I played G&W Gallery.
these G&W collections are a great value!
dang, good helmet scores \o/
hey that's a great version :)
wow, lots of games for "first" trophies!
Looks like Intellivision
that's a really fun game!
wierd but still better than some arcade ports for that system!
I thought I'd gotten hit like that, not losing shields... had no idea why!
Yeah and the English version shouldn't be that expensive iirc. Seems like it should be more or less $10 or maybe double that if complete.
FB1 is special since it has its own versions of the games and does not emulate the original.
I know what you mean. Zenji did not leave a good impression for me.
Have you ever fought the final boss on the NES version? Maybe that's just part of the game.
AND... it has Robotron.
Wow I never knew about landing on the ground to power up!
Curious, how do you manage to take so many shots without dying?
Yeah I'm surprised there aren't higher scores on this by now. But for now you're the champ!
It's unfortunate that we have two charts that the same score can go onto. So some users will think it should be one chart, others think it should go on the other chart... But if they don't like the idea of it going on both (like "double-dipping" basically), then maybe they will vote no for the same score on one chart and yes on the other.
but also... yes we all get some nonsense no-votes x)
I think some people just pick a random reason sometimes.
Easy is not the default option, but I think it's actually a disadvantage for scoring, right?
haha ha h;we killed it at Anteater xD
Was that 30 points for team Highscore?
yeah it's great, I've always loved chess & still play a lot!
right! so that's a Keystone Kapers hack?
I didn't find out enough about it, does it play any differently?
oh, which page? It looks right under "Highest Scores" and "Metal Slug 5"
Is this the return of Zimer?
nice progression record :)
c64 version added!
yeah I had a really hard time with that game.
that doesn't look like "Very Hard" -- isn't that just "Hard" ?
Wow, you're aobut to break into the top 10 users already!
I used to play this at a different pizza parlour where I worked. I didn't like it very much but we got free credits after our shift so after getting good at it & competing with co-workers I was actually kinda hooked.
A recommendation: whenever possible, to get the picture of the info for how many balls per play, especially with 3 Balls (the "harder" mode) submissions.
I passed up a game called Jewel Master for DS at a pawn shop. Then I saw this score and thought "well if it's a game like that, for 2 bucks what the hey..."
Boy was I disappointed. It was a cheap Bejeweled clone!
Agreed, if you re-submit this you will have the top score. Fun video, and welcome oORaydenOo !
When I lived in Medford, Oregon there was a pizza parlour that had $4 all-you-can-eat chicken, spuds & soda at certain times! So my friends & bros & I spent a lot of time there and they had Fish Tales so we had a lot of competition on that. This place also had live arm-wrestling tournaments with balcony seating all around the arm-wrestling area. Fun times for 12-15 yr-olds!
This looks legit to me.
Agreed with GTi, the rules say to play on default mode unless otherwise specified and there are charts for the other modes. Also more points are awarded playing on Hard mode so it is not a fair comparison. Recommended to remove score & re-submit to the [Hard] leaderboard.
This was probably my favorite pinball game from the 80s & 90s!
Wow, that's tough!
Impressive, I had a damn hard time with this & got as far as beginning of stage 4. I didn't know about this scoreboard or I would have kept my video!
Strange that it doesn't give you a score...
I agree, original rom but not original hardware, so it goes under "Emulated."
Man, that PAL Super Mario is sure faster!
Cool! I didn't remember you rocking Dragon scores.
nice picture, love the chess set
Correction: your score says 64,206,390 [not 690]
Wow what a crazy score!
Oh, I see! It says "2017, "Spooky," and "Remake" in the icon below!
oops, I meant @omargeddon
Some admins (including myself) have added charts in the Flashback categories for games which have the same original rom that can be played on an Atari 2600 or 2600 emulator.
Since then I have come to understand that the Flashback 2 uses hardware emulation, while Flashbacks 3 - 8 and Flashback Portable use software emulation. (The original Atari Flashback is a unique system and comes with new versions of the old games. It does not play the original Atari roms like the other Flashbacks do.)
My thought is that having two separate charts for the same game emulated seems redundant and pointless. It also seems that this would lead to having more and more charts for the same game emulated (using different emulators). This would make it more and more inconvenient to find out who is the proper record-holder.
So, therefore I have decided to stop adding charts for Atari Flashbacks 3-8 and FB Portable, unless for some reason there is a game on one of these emulation consoles that we cannot play any other way. I also stopped adding charts in categories for other specific emulators and emulation consoles, such as Colecovision Flashback and Virtual Console -- unless it is a game which is only playable on that specific emulator or emulation console.
Voting yes! The flashback 2 hardware emulates 2600/VCS hardware, allowing it to play the same 2600 rom as an Atari.. Therefore: Correct category!
Haven't played any Metroid on GBA yet (wow)
I just got Advance Wars Dual Strike on DS, looking forward to getting into that soon!
yeah? I thought it was awful x) Only played it a little though. Just found out you can climb up the tree from here. Maybe I'll have another go sometime.
Yeah I really don't know what I'd rank above it!
Still a lot I haven't played though. I'm disappointed with Sword of Mana & Tactics Ogre.
Advance Wars 2 maybe next best?
And of course many of the ports of NES, SNES, Sega & Arcade games, GBA is a great system... it's too bad it's library is so bloated with stupid movie & cartoon junk & etc.
This is a bad score. I often let the GBA sit there during battles when busy with other stuff
Run starts @ 35:30
This is an amazing game.
The star by my level shows the game has been completed.
nice to see some Neo Geo scores
That's been happening for a long time, off and on. Only way to get that vote is with a video and being played on original Game Boy, I have no idea why. They are totally compatible hardwares and within the rules of the site. Maybe somebody just wants to see everything played the most "original" way.
Nice run! I've never made it that far
Did you watch the cartoon too?
Ok, I get it. I can see the playground is different! These are hard to check on...
Hmm... I'll try again, maybe I made a mistake!
wow, that's great, go Locomalito!
Cool! How do you like the c64 mini?
Is "2018" noticeable by the background?
I'm also wondering, Is it still possible to play these tables from the previous years' editions?
wow. I'm actually not surprised though. I played this game and it took me freaking forever. I think I ended up with 12k.
This is getting a lot of no votes. I don't mind voting YES. For one it does actually have the username in the snapshot, which makes it a slightly better piece of evidence than what a lot of these Google Breakout scores have, including the top score.
Same here! This doesn't count as a time for the footrace.
voting YES (evidence isn't too good but it's a small score so no problem!)
also appears to be emulated.
That looks so small it might be hard to control!
did you know about the highscore.com discord?
you might have to talk to Pearl to get access. It's fun, a chat server :)
Also the current top score has a video, so this may also account for the number of no-votes.
Yes this time!
I met a guy who was going on about his childhood favorite game, but he couldn't remember the name. Eventually I recognized he meant Megamania!
He was happy to know the name. :)
yeah it's tough. I've pleyed this off and on all my life and just got my personal best with this score!
Hopefully they at least have clear rules so people aren't prevented from submitting scores just for having a less popular interpretation of something, like what exactly constitutes leaching, for example.
Sounds like they intend for this to encourage people to participate in a discussion before voting, which makes sense but it also sounds very time consuming just to get some points in order to submit a score.
One of the reasons I don't do much at TG is the way the site is set up. That alone seems time-consuming :( It doesn't seem very fun to me. Highscore and Retrouprising are both really fun to use IMO.
Like you said it appears to herd people into voting on everything and running with whatever vote seems the most popular. They apparently figure the dispute system solves the problem in case an unfair score gets hastily voted in, but then again, it also sounds kinda draining to know your vote may not even stick if you are familiar with the game and know that's how you want to vote.
I'm surprised anyone can add a track! But at least that explains the nonsensical tracks I've seen there.
Still I think it's a great thing and if it were the only high score tracking site I'd be all over it
It's a very awkward & difficult version until you get used to it. And even then ...
But I always like Popeye :)
Oh I see! Didn't know that about Galaga & missed your point about TG. Yeah, sounds like the Rapid Fire option would be a disadvantage if anything. And a piontless track... no pun intended!
That points system at TG does sound pretty wierd. If you don't mind I have a few questions about that:
-- Can you see how others have already been voting when you go to vote?
-- What do the points do for you?
-- And does this points system replace the overseeing admin powers or are all three of those systems at work?
haaha no idea. x)
On Highscore the Galaga rapid-fire tracks are listed as "Fast-Shoot."
I agree about picture-only evidence being insufficient for a top record, or even any big impressive score. I actually vote no on a lot of those.
*Referees* -- by referee I only meant with respect to this Pleiades score in particular. Assuming that's what you meant by your first message, that this was verified by a ref?
Yeah it's a tough call whether to have admin oversight capable of overturning the vote. For many including myself, this nullifies the point of voting. I understand the purpose for an expert or panel of experts but it seems to me it should be either that or voting, but not both.
*Vote pushed on public* -- At first glance, it may seem like there is pressure to vote a lot on everything, but after a while I realized the user points reward for votes is very small (avg. of 10 pts.) compared to getting scores accepted, and especially when cracking trophies. The amount of points I've earned by voting is comparatively miniscule.
As far as any newer scores that you do have video and/or pictures of, I'm sure they would be welcomed here in that case!
Using the 2-Player side for Galaga has been accepted here.
Galaga fast shoot scoreboards have been added to Highscore.
TG referee-verification doesn't carry a lot of weight these days, and probably won't get accepted here as evidence for a score. Personally I accept picture evidence if it's not a huge score or taking over the top spot. Otherwise, video required. I think a lot of other users vote like that too but each user has their own preferences. Anyway, external video is always best and recommended!
I agree the vote system isn't perfect but I can also see the drawbacks of other ways. Referee system is flawed for obvious reasons. Personally I like this voting system the best but it's really just a personal preference. I don't like being around abusive admins and we're free of that here. IMO these are all very minor complaints and all the highscore sites are actually pretty cool. I hope you'll stick around but I understand if you prefer to use a different site.
Also another note -- remember, voting no doesn't necessarily mean the user thought your score was faked or cheated. It can be in the interest of the integrity of this site. Personally I don't doubt you got this score.
I think part of the reason too is -- some users here want to be able to verify it for themselves. Just relying on TG isn't good verification in some users' opinion. Part of the incentive for both the creation of highscore.com, and for players to use hs.com, is the reputation that TG has gotten when it comes to referee verification and so forth.
So some people will always vote no on this type of evidence, which we've seen from a handful of other sites, giving us nothing to go on if we want to verify it for ourselves, for this site.
I usually vote no on these unless it's a relatively low score (which this one is). I'm not sure I want to vote yes here though because it will be the only score on the leaderboard and leave a precedent for this kind of evidence taking the top spot.
I rarely skip a score when voting but I'm skipping this one at least for now.
my #1 wish!
I guess no-votes are due to no Atari in the picture? Or maybe someone required video.
Wow, I was curious about that! I heard a rumor it fails after 50 votes if it's got less than 80%.
37, that's a strange number to me.
Submit again, I bet it will get accepted! The consistent 2 no-votes for most every score isn't happening lately.
I don't remember, but I have reached 415,000 on this game when I was playing it all the time. After that I went to the arcade and put up 360,000 so it's a great port, works exactly the same.
I still don't have a single CBS cart!
I have over 400 titles, over 700 atari games including variant labels... But no CBS
that was fast :)
nice CBS collection!
Yeah great score!
thanks, I like this game x)
ah, the days... [8
hey, it's high time for some good ole Pipe Dream!
actually just fyi, if your game is over you can still switch the difficulty back and forth, opening and closing those holes while your score remains on the screen.
but I'm still voting yes since it's not for the top spot.
that's hardcore. I was playing this recently & it was getting very tedious... not to mentioned I actually died with less than 100k.
The run starts @ 5:21 !
my best run on camera so far...
fun game as long as you don't mind dying and hitting reset a LOT.
good to see you back here!
yeah it's a really tough game. I think I got to that level years ago on the Genesis...
I plan to have another go at it.
doesn't even have a label!
yet another nads max score! I wonder how many of those you have now :D
that's my personal best too I think. Biggest score I've seen is 76.
run starts at 0:51
looks like I forgot to get my tag in there.
Hopefully y'all can recognize my TV & Atari!
I didn't catch up, but I found I still had my picture from a contest a little while ago!
It was one of the contests started by classicgamer_27330 in the "High Score Clubs" forum. Don't know about the next one but he does special contests from time to time. He's been talking about an upcoming multi-platform HSC for a short season.
played during the namco museum contest at atari age.
In my opinion playing on Tournament Settings is legit for this scoreboard! Even though it's not the default mode as the rules say... Tournament settings is harder.
I think your score is legitimately achieved and the reason for the no votes is, that it's a really great score and people want to be able to verify the settings and see all of the gameplay. Highscore's twitch connection doesn't seem to work properly. The link to your twitch video should help a lot if it goes to the full video. When I followed that link, twitch told me the content is unavailable unless I have a time machine.
If this doesn't get accepted, I would recommend re-submitting with the twitch link there from the start (and making sure it's still available).
Or, even better yet, you can screencap the video and put it on youtube so it can be available here. Some users I think don't want to go elsewhere to verify a score.
is there an indication that this was on the hardest difficulty?
ok I found it, the score has been removed by "Shaynard."
voted yes, sorry !
hmm, I just noticed this is john676's score page
I thought there was another user with the same picture. What was I smoking??
that's funny, the NES version? Are any of the others like that?
HAHAHA I play a lot of Game Boy.
Thanks, I'm still playing, trying to crack a million!
yeah, know what you mean. I'm trying to come up with a better method than I have.
crazy, it's completely different!
nice GG streak xD
what a hilarious choice of movies to be made into a video game.
big game boy scores!
maybe I'll give it a try...
you'd think a bike race would entail some type of penalty for crashing every 6 inches or so...
Is it a homebrew?
probably being a pretty high score & people wanting video and/or ID tag in the photo.
Rodland is a great game! I played on NES & Game Boy.
voting YES to welcom thelatestmodel to HS.com!
So is that basically Othello / Reversi ??
that's a solid scoring strategy!
Nice! another maxout
what a funny game
In your picture, it looks like the difficulty switches are set in the "Novice/ B" position.
Thanks Maxwell... I see by your score picture as well, the scores are higher with each harder setting.
Wow you can jump off the elevators!
hey john676, how come a different user is using your same picture & score for Ice Hockey? http://highscore.com/scores/GBA/ActivisionAnthology/71129
hey, wait this is John676's picture!
is there any indication in the picture that this is played on Expert level?
love the PSP!
so is Bayakuya the name of the guy in the picture?
I found out the scoring is the same either way, and not only has Lucky to drive while shooting with 1 gun, but Wild can use both guns while the car drives itself. Basically Wild is easy mode I guess, so I think I'll add it.
"backwards long jumping"
reminding me more of how great that game wa, in the 90's M64 was amazing!!
hey that's a damn good score for only one controller... do you not have a 2nd controller?
Users can actually do this independently. You can just submit your score in the Genesis category. And then also click "Remove This Score" in the upper left here, to delete the Jaguar submission & prevent getting more no-votes.
thanks! I love how it just lets you keep trying as long as you can. I would have liked this game growing up.
I read it's easier to play as Wild, since you don't have to drive and can focus on just shooting. Do you know if there is any difference in the scoring between the two?
hey welcome to highscore.com, MrSome1 !
I'm not familiar with this but I got that game last year & look forward to playing. I played Mario 64 a crapload!!
I like the new look!
No worries, you can remove this and re-submit under Sega Genesis
Awesome, one of my old favorite arcades. How does this one compare??
YIKES dude !!
hey nice choice of PS2!
That's an awesome score! Unfortunately it isn't getting a high acceptance rate, most likely due to the fact that (a) it's a huge score, topping the world trophy score, and (b) it doesn't have a video. With really big scores like this, people are more hesitant to accept them without video.
I hope to see lots more of your scores, you rock!! (on Crystal Castles at least)
I played that locally here at Blairally arcade. Back in the day I played it at TajMahal, MetroCenter in Phoenix, AZ
hey, this looks way cooler than that game we got on Atari!
got it back!
It was amazing but I never found any games. The Gauntlet game unfortunately sucked, it was like they didn't finish the game before rleasing it. But the colors & graphics & sound were wonderful. I wish I knew what happened to that thing...
thanks! and thanks for that video
oh, yeah that's unfortunate. sometimes I play pinball and just try to do what I can so I know what you mean. well no worries, rock on!
Oh, fun! 1 point for Sean Stewart and 1 point for ichigokurosaki1991 in the "Meet Highscore.com People" challenge!
I have a request -- in the future when playing [3 balls] can you try to get a picture of the tags up front showing how many balls per play? It helps us with voting since players may have played with 5 balls and it wouldn't be fair. Not that I think anyone intends to cheat the site, but people do make mistakes sometimes.
I like Mario Kart better too, but Diddy Kong Racing is WAY better than Mickey's Speedway
ONE OF THE BEST DAMN SONGS EV ERR !!
pretty good game! I was surprised.
yeah great score!
strange machine... that's not a MAME cab, is it?
the music was a big part of making this seem like a crappy game to me back in the day. I thought it sounded "cheap."
These days it's ok and kinda makes me laugh. It sounds silly. and quixotic.
oops! fixed now.
This game sounds great !
I think that says 5,600 actually
awesome xbox setup!
nice video !
now i have another question -- do you ever use both A and B buttons alternating, to fire faster?
the Lynx is the only system I had BITD which I haven't recovered in recent years.
I never got to play one BITD ! Only saw them in magazines.
I had a Game Boy and an Atari Lynx (but only one game, Gauntlet).
ok, nevermind, I can hear the button clicking. Man, you fire fast!!
I can never fire that fast & your finger looks to be holding the button down
great score anyway!
are you using an autofire with that controller??
looks like a fun game?
Is that a Pengo hack?
NGPC's are actually pretty cheap if you wanted one. Like $25 or less I think.
YES ! very impressive copetition for the Game Gear and Game Boy. Maybe poor marketing and maybe too expensive?
these days, I like the NGPC but it's unfortunate it had no light, and the joypad-stick thing can be a pain in the ass even though it's very comfortable to use.
The TurboExpress was fucking incredible but unfortunately we couldn't get our hands on one!
wow, LOL !!
this game looks like it can't be true! for Odyssey 2.
I think oyama, being from Brazil, what he means is... if you want to remove the annoyance,
then you can remove your submisison... and then re-submit using only correct evidences.
Also this game is called "3D Ultra PINBALL Thrillride"
I think this chart, "3D Ultra Thrillride" has been entered by accident
wow, this game is already in there: "3D Ultra Pinball Thrillride: Normal" -- and you already have a better score!
nice to see those Ataris!
voting yes! I don't see the system but it's not an earth-crushing score and it does look as though played on a CRT.
nice, I don't think I've ever seen this one in action! It looks impressive.
ha, funny... that sounds about right
and yeah Harem is easily the best one. I think there was another company too that made X-Man.
This game was the reason my grandparents wouldn't get us a nintendo!
They didn't know the difference 'tween Atari & Nintendo and didn't know that it was just an adult game not available at toy stores & PayLess or whatnot. They thought this is what the games were like in the video game world for kids!! hahahahahhah...
I think they relied on church pamphlets or something.
That final speed really hands it to you LOL
hey omar-- I've been voting yes on these, but how do we know it's "Amateur" in the video?
Oh not again... I score a lot but you guys are kicking my ass.
Great attack!! I don't know if I can shoot that fast on a NES controller...
AND... Nice dodging !!
you're gettin' good at this game now!
which one do you like better between this and Star Soldier?
you're killin' it at this! I had a great run today but suddenly lost 4 lives in a row on stage 6 with 700k
yeah watch your skills come back!
voted yes: small score.
good scores, but screenshots don't usuallly get accepted for the top spot... if you can't make a video yet, I would suggest at least taking a photograph with your id tag.
for video I use: aTube Catcher, or a smartphone
hm. too bad, you'd think on PS2 they'd make a damn good one.
I guess I should be happy with my Gradius III :)
still haven't got good at it yet either.
Is "Grandprix" something different?
I'm still hoping to find a copy of Gradius 5 some day...
nice avatar xD
great score, but you'll probably need to have better evidence for that since it tops the leaderboard. A photograph with your name-tag in the picture would help a lot, and a video of your game would be best.
"you're fuckin A it does" LOL !!
yes I want to remove that onto the correct chart, however I don't have access to do it, only the site owner does and he's currently got his hands full with other stuff. But we have added it to the list of corrections that need to be made.
Not an easy task !!
for some reason I always get it into my head that this is a horizontal shooter
this at least has better evidence than the one on the chart.
Love the tag!! LOL xD
how do you like that game?
sometimes people just pick a nonsense answer. I just ignore it if it's not helpful.
ha perfect timing, it begins and ends with the Lost Boys
Ha! I hear ya.
yeah, it gives you the option of a scrolling screen or entire screen, very nice of them!
my PB is 104k
keep crakkin' I've just improved again and not stopping yet!
...plus head-butting through the glass window to escape !? it's too much!
thanks! trying to crack my pb on video...
wowser. never heard of it, I gotta try that!
but I love this game anyway. Reading about Mr.Do!, I find he's supposed to be mowing the lawn! ...So why do the apples zoom to the south?
oh! got it
nice, got your name in there :)
hey euphonium, can you tell me where to look to find ball three?
The 1st one to get the score keeps the trophy.
I was waiting for this one :)
Similar to Atari 2600 games are acceptable when played on a 7800 console, or Game Boy Advance games played on a DS or DS Lite.
...looks like I was mistaken, GBC games do play on Super Game Boy.
for reference, the rules for Game Boy Color submissions:
"Rules: Play with default settings unless otherwise specified. No hacked ROMs. No passwords or cheat codes. Must be played on a Game Boy compatible handheld device, Super Game Boy SNES/Super Famicom attachment, or GameCube Game Boy Player attachment."
same with Game Boy Color games, except that they don't play on the Super Game Boy.
Game Boy games can be played on a Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Super Game Boy, or Game Boy Player for GameCube.
And still be considered original hardware. They have Nintendo Gameboy hardware.
Awesome x) I was aiming for 600k all day and just broke 500k once, finally.
This seems different than what I've been playing. It looks like everything is moving faster than my version, similar to in Gustlik's video when he played it on SNES. That's not a PAL version, is it? Also the screen stops and goes black for a moment before bosses?
anyway, yes vote from me.
Hahaha I like when you shoot with the music.
yeah it's true! 100 is posible, perfect knockout. Toymailman was highly trusted and a well-known player at AtariAge. But yeah that score really should have a video! especially on the A/A setting (although I don't know what difference that makes for this game.)
check this score out also: http://highscore.com/scores/Atari2600/Boxing/68208
Pitfall75 came close!
right! much appreciated
this reminds me of a Commodore game!
Ha same here, hadn't played it forever, like since not long after Super Bowl came out. Same score I got too using Raiders, hahaha
Shouldn't we keep it consistent with the other Winter games by using [Score x 10] ?
so the score would be 43?
I never knew about this one. Is Gradius you favorite game?
hey I want my trophy back
what emulator is that??
geeeez... lettuce quit monkeying around already.
a Subway marquee read: "LETTUCE MEAT OLIVE YOUR EGGSPECTATIONS."
har har, but they bew it! "your" ??
what is that ? couldn't they find one more pun? hmm... ... I know!
they have a restroom, right? "Lettuce meat olive urine eggspactations."
I'm emailing Subway.
Wow, nice one
the graphics on that look amazing for 2600!
hey omar, this is actually "Star Castle Arcade"
there is a different chart for Star Castle Arcade.
check out Serious' video for Star Castle: http://highscore.com/scores/Atari2600/StarCastle/76
I think Mythicon double dipped with this game and Sorcerer.
I don't know, but if you go to the video page that everyone else can access publicly, that's the one with that stuff in the url.
like, if you're using the video manager or "Creator Studio," then click on the title to your video and it should take you to the public page. then, use the url from that. Hopefully that will work!
I never had this problem since when I started I would go to the public page first to make sure it was playing and set to public. Then, I just kept this habit.
Oh, good. then you can show Atardi a thing or two!
That's a pretty nice Atari though
I'm curious, why using playier 2?
always crakkin those top scores
Bub snuck him some donuts, maybe?
wo,wait, is that...
is that.. .. a decent Superman game ???
A buddy of mine scored a bunch of uncommon games and brought them over to let me have first pick for cheap prices! Unfortunately I couldn't afford all of them and this was one I passed up
this game looks pretty badass. and lives up to its name!
BTW, saw the video and voting yes
if you go to add evidence, and add the video again, using the url which includes "watch?v=" in the url. That will work better here. it's the one that the public can see when they watch the video.
You may also want to re-submit the score, and it will replace this score page and the voting will start over. That way you can get a better acceptance rate :)
nice dodging around that end boss x)
impressive. I wouldn't have thought to go for a NARC record.
I'm curious -- when you're talking to people, can you hear them speaking, or are you reading comments while playing??
disappointed with this game.
didn't get good at it though so there's that...
anonymous voting is trolling in your book?
So we're in Troll Village !?
great style of evidence!
I'm pretty hesitant about the whole "trolls" thing, as you may have gathered.
remember Scootablue? that dude was definitely trolling IMO.
no-votes? idk, can people troll like that?
I'm getting an error when I try to play the video
Ah ok I get it
and adding to the corrections list...
that's the path! I almost got that down...
didn't play enough I guess
is that MESS?
ha, good strategy
No problem! I know they already voted, but I hoped people who still haven't voted yet will take a closer look and not just see there's no-votes and follow suit.
Anonymity is part of the voting system, it has to be that way, I don't think that can change.
The site would be a drama mess if voting was not anonymous. People would be accusing and bitching and arguing with the ones that voted no. Then users would hesitate to vote no when they actually thought the score shouldn't go up, just to avoid the drama. Some users would be afraid to vote how they see fit due to getting verbally bullied.
I just want to remind people to use their logic. What is a legit score? What are your evidence standards for voting and follow that instead of guessing and suspecting and rivaling against users etc. that's stupid!
what purpose would it serve to show who voted what?
anyway it looks like a couple users have it in for you. I just want to encourage people to vot based on the validity of the score based on the evidence given. That's how I vote!
"Dino Eggs Rebirth"
made by the same guy who did the original: http://www.dinoeggsrebirth.com/
he actually emailed me himself in (I think) 2015 to tell me about it. He had seen my emulated score here
Someone else also made a sequel called Dino Legs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_v9oeJC7ss
don't know if it's available though
aww crap you gotta write that s** down!
my brother doesn't come here anymore since he lost his password. Maybe we can get the man to create a password retrieval option.
maybe if you used an external camera. I know that's awkward though from doing a few game boy videos. anyway it'll be what it'll be.
I vote yes on these Free Fur All scores, but accidentally voted no on this one, sorry!
if anyone who meant to vote no here, would kindly hit yes instead?
that would correct it :)
that's a lot of Free Fur All
what I mean is, how did you get the video to show up in the comments like that?
whenever I try it malfunctions, same with pictures.
did you lose your password?
ah rats, should have gon with my first hunch, I tossed Schecter out of my head and then tried to guess. I even have one of those *_^
I know what you mean about Jackson & BC rich necks I felt the same for years until one day I picked up a Dean and suddenly I could play better than ever before so that's my fav. now!
most of the game play is missing
the biginning of the video you already have like 50 million points.
this is one of those games where my skills mostly stuck with me!
Yeah I still want to gat back at it some more. I was surprised I couldn't catch up to my emulated score, just sitting down with it for an hour or so. One of those games I found challenging to re-learn after not playing for a couple years. And it always tricks me into forgetting I can walk across to the other side xD
Did you see the sequel from a couple years ago?
I think you're the fastest masher ever x) very impressed
Star Soldier in the Caravan Collection looks like it plays faster, yes?
nice recovery at the end there!
nice to see more Mario Kart scores!
voting yes but you actually scored 3,708,160
you had one more life after the posted score
which one's the real DrJosh?
is that a Jackson?
it was back then, during those comps actually. I'm surprised I don't have a score posted, or anywhere on my computer actually. wierd.
how did you do that?
yes vote here
screw the twin galaxies rule
I say you can let a boss escape once per stage. I noticed in Stage 1 there is a miniboss that never appears unless you back up.
bring 'em on!
great logo x)
nice job getting those videos embedded in there!
voting yes, y'all
in my opinion this is quality evidence and looks legit to me
it even shows the emulator having default settings restored.
seriously, big improvement
too bad it's muted tho
I got more confused with kernzy's recent submission.
it says 50 but in the video it's 5.2 and he doesn't even make the jump ,"/
I dont' know if it's a change in rules or just voting letting it slide.
title says meters.
I'm realizing this game is way better than I previously gave it credit for!
I feel like I don't even have a good score yet xD
But at least I got back to the top, back at ya Gustlik
...and thanks for the motivation
also isn't this for [Meters] ?
I think this chart is messed up, lol
is this right? At 9:30 I saw 5.2m with a miss, knocking the bar down.
Criminy, what is going on with the votes on this one??
this looks pretty solid to me, folks
I tried this and got hosed
you've inspired me to challenge one of your scores!
good LAWD that's alotta points !!
hey good point! I'm making a note.
ha, yeah nice video!
and this looks like a great game
this is the origin of "Groggle"
or "Grohgl" or whatnot.
and this game looks better than I thought it would.
ok nevermind, I figured out how to fire like that
to be honest I probably would have left it there if I had noticed there weren't any scores I was beating. this isn't a very big score. maybe I'll repost xD
crap, I can't seem to get a photo to load.
