yeah, this is Pac-Man 4K or Pac-Man 8K.
that there's a quality Gauntlet game!
in this game, the score stays on the screen even if you change the settings.
this one may need a video
the score stays on screen if you change it from Novice to Advanced
I sure hope I can get one of these!
at any rate it's a really cool picture actually.
do you like it as much as original Boulder Dash?
So many games for the GBA that I haven't played still...
I use "aTube Catcher" for 70's/80's/90's - type games.
if you have a digital camera, or a webcam, or a phone w/ camera -- even better!
a lot of games people just use photos but for top scores it gets more and more demanding... welcome to the site btw
Wow, nice one!
yes this needs a video, not just a link to the same picture and some digits representing the same score.
So is it true, the Pandora's box has altered versions of the games?
derek's right, if you have the inp you can playback the run and make a video of it.
I don't think anyone thinks you cheated, but the fact is all we have to vote by here is screenshots without even initials.
every time I follow links like that there is no video that I can watch, so they just waste my time.
the current top score has a video.
it's preferred if you beat the top score to use at least as good evidence as they did.
Harder version of Galaxian. they shoot more too.
personally, I find the Genesis controller a little awkward for atari games & I prefer the good ol' CX-40.
you could click "add evidence" I think as another option.
Wow this is the first time I heard of this game :)
why are [hunchbacka] and [hunchbackd] both called Hunchback (Set 1) ?
how do you like this game, Larquey?
looks like a fun time
I thought it was the same game loaded on the multicart.
kinda like "Genesis 6-pack" with Sonic and Streets of Rage, Columns, etc.
you been here a long time CousinVinnie! I remember from when I first started, CHEERS!
I all I see is a bright blank screen. nice cartridge though.
Am I missing something? I probably have to vote no on this one but your scores are normally solid in my opinion.
isn't that fantastic?
you can use a Master System controller too.
I think that is the best way to do it.
However, unfortunately it has already been done the way you have it:
Also, it's not to far fetched to get the max score of 10, which is exact at least.
Did you ever see Krull? It was pretty awesome in its day. Maybe not a box office hit, but really cool and original nonetheless.
Not to mention having a young Liam Neeson.
nice one !
glad to see people are using the strength rating.
you have really excellent scores, but you'll probably need more evidence than this to have them accepted here. If you have an inp you can record it playing back in order to have a video to show us. :)
Also, getting your initials in there will help out a lot too.
ultimately, external video is the best.
I know I did better than this, just couldn't find the damn evidences!
but at least I have a keyboard again now...
made for 2016 contest !
the score is the little blue number above the red zeros.
more old IGBY scores on the way x)
submitted to the hardware category by accident.
plus, people voting didn't pay attention apparently.
Thats awesome to get, and #1 on my Intellivision wish list!
I reported this should be removed. If needed I can enter a score of zero which is at least better than nothing.
HAHAHAHAHAHA !! LOL
Wow, I just noticed I entered this in the wrong category!
I gotta fix that...
do you know which rom this was?
f.y.i., the fat ship doesn't prove difficulty A.
you can play the game on difficulty B, then switch it to A after your game. (the score stays onscreen)
looks like google image breakout
...what the hell is google atari breakout ?
I just watched popeye the movie
Better than i remembered but I still didn't think it was too great.
you will get more yes votes if you get a name tag or something in the picture
also - if you set your initials so people will recognize CRP as you
Good to see scores for this!
nice Beluga !
looks good to me
im really slow lately (broken keyboard)
ill do it now though !
looks legit to me
wow now that takes some determination xD
welcome to highscore.com !
I'll vote yes on this why not. It got some no-votes due to having no name tag. Also for Game Boy sometimes people require videos.
just a name-tag in the picture will help a lot though.
for some games and depending on the system, you may need to provide a video, especially if you beat a top score.
good to see those Atari scores!
I hope you had a good time at PRGE
"Video is unavailable"
yeah it's not looking good
So is there a diffference between the AES & MVS versions for this game?
Great score, but a photo alone isn't good enough for this game. You need a video to show it was done legitimately. Or re-submit under [Any Tactics].
and you can possibly get banned for talking to people like that.
I tried and tried to like this game growing up. But I thought it was the worst one made by Atari. One day I finished the game, and it repeats over and over. From that day I liked it better :).
Now playing many more atari games I know E.T.'s not the worst ;)
yeaH good score.!
nice! I'll be back for this one!
if you don't mind my asking, what is Xbox 360 mode and how can I recognize it in the video?
is this emulated?
It looks like 0:33.07 in the video. The timer starts at 0:00.0 at the exact moment you take control.
That's what I'm wondering about. Why not 33.07?
I know it's not much of a difference but your video timer seems to work very well & it looked accurate. I was wondering if you knew of a reason for this discrepancy? And why would frame-counting be more accurate than your real-time clock timer?
See what I mean? It looks like your evidence is saying 33.07
it will be in last place, 55 minutes, 50 seconds.
nice graphics for the O2 !
or it's the emulator perhaps?
ha! nice I actually like this one too. I didn't enjoy Burgertime until I played the 2600 version, but now I like most versions.
if there is an emulator called Intellivision Flashback this is not the chart for it.
that would go under Intellivision (Emulated)
if you just got a name tag in there, it would help a lot to get your score accepted.
wow excellent run !
now if we could just see the video screen in the picture with your face... w/ cart & power on... that would be about as good as it can get.
Did the people who frame counted it give any notes about how they determined that?
The reason I ask is, when you take control of your character, it looks like the time starts at that exact moment. ---And, I see it changes to 33 seconds before making it to the castle and the screen flashes and the timer stops.
Maybe you lose control when entering the final screen? I just don't understand.
leeching/milking is usually not considered fair unless under "Any Tactics" category or something like that. some users allow it in all cases though. It's not a written rule, just the opinion of users voting.
I vote no to milking like this unless there is a stage timer in the game (like in Double Dragon or Donkey Kong) to prevent indefinitely staying somewhere & racking up points.
also it appears to have a lot of scores posted with nothing but a snapshot.
wow great score!
Yeah, the current top score has much better evidence, so this score would go through easier if it had a video.
so how come it is not considered 33 seconds?
hey I'm sorry I can't make it!
I meant to let you know earlier but life has been ridiculously crowded & busy for me this past month. I lost money, almost got evicted, had stuff stolen. I have no money and must keep busy working for a while. It's annoying that I can't make it to PRGE 3 years in a row but that's just what's crackin'.
Thank you again for the offer I really appreciate it!
Good score anyway... at some point you'll have a BREAKTHROUGH !!
I'm at that point right now with Pac-Man Championship -- can't seem to crack 100k. But eventually, something has to give! :)
w13rd gqmE, |3 u + fun!
I bet that was fun, one of my favorite 2600 games
oops, tripped it again xD
small score on the chart, so the evidence doesn't need to be great. I'm voting yes!
not a big score so I'm not demanding much. voting yes.
this game is both annoying and comical at the same time when the screen disappears so fast! It reminds me of an old kung-fu movie that suddenly ends as soon as the bad duy dies...
i guess the bright side is, it doesn't threaten to topple many high scores! xD
I hadn't figured out the controls yet, but at least it's a score...
And a new record!
maybe you should re-submit this one?
I've tried several times, refresh and still the pictures and/or videos don't show up.
Ok it wasn't exactly a couple days. Sh*'s been crazy last week.
Yeah I'll plan on going if your offer is still available! Thanks again for the thought.
I can meet you at Ground Kontrol!
the current top record doesn't have a video, so I'll give it a yes vote
I like the avatar!
I'd love to. I'll have to get back to you in a couple days to confirm. Also, sometimes shit happens and I find myself broke as a joke and having to take some work instead or something... but I think I can manage to make sure I get there. I just hope I have some #@!% money!
I was planning on going this year with a buddy and setting up a table but now he bailed so I thought I wouldn't be there at all.
thanks again, I'll get back to you soon
cool, rock on!
I spent a lot of quarters on Guerilla War and 1943 and Black Tiger xD
Overall probably Ms. Pac-Man takes the cake.
wow, great score!
love this one! one of my favorites growing up.
the NES version plays a little more like the arcade so it takes some getting used to for us 2600 kids. xD
thanks, it's a tough game!
I don't have any moderator status, only admin. abilities for adding requests.
It's up to you to re-submit if you like, and it can be judged by everyone voting.
I just noticed that according to your time calculator the total is 3:01.807
the time you entered is 3:01.087 (which is a better time than your actual score).
I've gotten all kinds of reasons & sometimes they don't make sense, so I just don't worry about it. I think sometimes somebody votes no for some reason & chooses one from the list that doesn't match their real reason?
Personally I just remember, the no-votes are just no-votes and users aren't required to give their reason at all. so if the given reason is unhelpful, no big deal. if it does help me improve my submission, then great!
Looks right to me
You have the time entered incorrectly
I always liked this game & I always sucked at it!
& didn't have enough quarters to improve :(
So I played games where I could last longer.
Like Moon Patrol.
But I was happy to throw one quarter at Rally-x!
Looks fun, i always liked 8 or 16bit baseball video games!
YEs vote from me (photo only but not a huge score and does not break top record).
I don't think the no-voter believes these are photoshopped. Seems more likely they dont think photos are enough evidence.
But don't forget, it could just be that user voting no to almost every score.
one of my favorite arcades, yeah maybe top 20
but also just because I got lucky someone in town was selling it cheap x)
I don't doubt that's true, but there's not really any way to show that using pictures or videos.
And basically I'm just not sure if it works to compare scores of players who are starting out with different numbers of lives, you know?
Oh I see :)
ha, strange looking cart
holy crap, lol xD
so you beat the game, and yet far more points could have been available?
hmm. another one where you can buy extra stuff to trade in for continues?
I haven't voted on these yet, but it sure seems like these should be single-life runs.
I'm not sure buying continues with your coins should be allowed.
I got this game, and I noticed you can buy 10's of thousands of coins online for a few dollars. So players can literally just pay a little money out of their pocket to have a stash of coins for trading in on extra lives.
It seems like this game should be scored according to a "1 Life Only" basis.
I always check everyone's score for mistakes but I do get a little lazy with regular users' videos. sometimes I just look at the picture & vote yes.
scores are going through fast right now! lots of voting happening, yes we're voting well xD
I see, thanks! I'm going to get this game & play before I vote :)
plus it just looks fun.
my 1st arcade machine!
I'm not sure how to judge this. you get lots of continues but it costs you more coins every continue, while the coins you pick up earn you more as you progress farther. Also you can apparently build up your coins before starting a new game so you'll have lots of continues to work with? Wouldn't it be possible to rack up 100,000 or more coins before beginning a high score run?
I think maybe these continues are more like "lives" for this game, but it seems a little hard to get how scores can be compared for this game while using continues.
Wow, great run
I just caught up in voting :)
just waitin' for that video :)
looks like you actually got 1,000,000 more than your posted score.
excellent evidence, as always
almost voted no.
I want to see a video the next time someone beats the Devil World (emulated) record!
I think this is legit but I also think a score submission that beats the top record should have at least as good evidence for it. It will also help to get some kind of ID in the photo.
looks legit to me!
this one will probably pass with a 96% (that's great these days!)
and without video... I wouldn't worry about it, congrats
right! Back under the bridge x)
just keep 'em coming
I'm just gonna keep posting scores, no worries about the voting.
I know my evidence is legit enough to get accepted! And if one of my scores did get shot down I can always re-submit that later...
oh, right! it's emulation
I've also got 3 no-votes on all my hardware scores and 4 no-votes on all my emulation scores.
maybe 1 or 2 of those no-votes because of the video not showing the NES ?
there are a couple users on a no-vote rampage currently.
getting something in the picture to identify you made the score, this will help your acceptance rate.
for this chart I think any tactics are allowed. I think JEO got 999,999 in 1:49:01 or FASTER, so for this submission I voted YES.
for Castlevania III, I vote according to Twin Galaxies' rules -- which means:
- 5 lives maximum
- no going back & forth replentishing candles to leech hearts and money bags.
so for this submission I voted NO
yeah! I just got my 1st arcade machine x)
it's Do! Run Run in a Berzerk cab, watch for my score soon, ha!
man, that voice would get annoying!
that Pandora's Box looks awesome!
YES vote: small scores don't need to have good evidence IMO
true! try to get a way to id your score and that will help you get a better acceptance rate.
screenshot-only isn't very solid evidence but I still vote YES unless it breaks the record or a great score.
yeah, also try to get your hardware in the picture as well so folks know it's the plug-n-play and not something else. (or another plug-n-play)
personally, I'm voting YES since it's not over 100k score, so I don't mind limited evidence.
back up to 80% !
another Pennsylvanian on the chart! :)
forgot to rotate!
yeah that looks like a fun game !
cheers! I think I played it on the commodore a couple years ago...
I'll send him a note :)
yeah that ain't cool!
I watched again and saw you scored 126,363,384
Is that not correct?
I haven't tried contacting him about the no-voter.
when I make a video of something like that I use a webcam, or a phone-cam. Setting them up on something or using a tripod.
all of my most recent scores have gotten 1 no-vote as well. (with videos)
do you know if any scores have stayed at 100% lately?
as far as your legit-rate, the plummeting will slow down to a halt as you approach 96% if you consistently get one no-vote per score (96%).
Yeah I dig it!
it got more addicting each day x)
I don't understand "Elements destroyed + 1 * percentages"
Is your score meaningless in this game?
Gridrunner is a Centipede clone, I think?
I see this has gotten a lot of no-votes.
Perhaps this is because there is no name-tag or any sign that mjacobina took this photo.
Also, there isn't anything in the picture to show the game was played with only 3 balls. For all we can tell from the picture, it could have been done with 5 balls.
hope that helps.
good to see a bunch of sharp scores!
this is a good video, if you get a name tag in there you'll definitely stop getting so many no-votes, IMO
-- no ID
-- picture gives no indication of what level the score comes from
--> NO vote!
I can't see your evidence for some reason.
if you exploit a glitch the score has to go on a different chart. you might try requesting an "any tactics" chart for this game or something like that.
if you get a photo of your device with a name tag or something like that in the photo, you'll probably get a better acceptance rate.
it seems none of your scores submitted match the ones in your videos, but in this video you scored more than what you submitted, so I'm voting YES.
the last score I saw was 135,429,900
the current record holder only gave pictures so I'll vote YES to this one.
"MILK IS FOR BEBIES"
"REAL MEN DRINK BEER"
web games scores don't do so well getting accepted here unless you have a photo with a name tag! or a video even better.
personally I don't care and vote YES unless it's a huge competitive score!
My top 3 favorite GBA cartridges!
* Namco Museum
* Final Fantasy Tactics
* Advance Wars 2
YES vote here
your legit rating (97%) looks pretty good to me!
I like to keep in mind: picture-only evidence is always a good enough reason to vote NO in my opinion. So I never complain about any NO votes I get for picture-only evidence.
But I just still submit my picture-only evidence when I think it's good enough by my own standards, and it almost always gets past the voting.
some people will demand video for MAME scores, to verify the DIP settings. MAME is the toughest category for voting, some folks keep it pretty strict.
I vote YES anyway!
But, for winning the top position I think it is fair to ask: provide at least as good of evidence as the user with the current record.
I see at the beginning (both versions) you have these other ships unlocked. How does that work? Do you know how I can play with those other ships?
(notice in my video I only can select from 4 ships)
looks like a DS.
I wonder, can one tell it is from Classic Mode?
I played this and I remember getting over 30,000 so I think this score isn't very hardcore. So I have no problem voting YES with minimal evidence.
uhh, I'm pretty sure that just means you can't sell at the store.
Be that as it may, no one can see that from your evidence.
See what I'm saying?
Just trying to help. It seems to be the reason your submissions are getting no-votes. That and there is no name-tag or something identifying the user.
not a huge score, so it won't change my vote, but for this game the video should show the option settings, there are many options easier than default.
yeah no one can tell if it wasn't played on a Retron or laptop or whatever.
maybe if you get a photo of your score, including the system in the picture? I bet you'd get a better acceptance rate.
this would have a much better acceptance rate if you had a name tag or something like that in the picture.
The Mexican Abobo!
thanks for voting :)
looks like fun!
Wow I didn't know you could do that!
Watch out for that Mexican Abobo!
I'm voting YES but your score is actually 42,910
good score! this version's really hard.
the asshole with a machine gun!
I'll give it a YES vote!
I take it this is a pretty good game??
this game has good music for a 2600 game!
finally we have a score for this!
Not a big score, folks. so I'm not sure why the no-votes.
I only vote no for lack of video when it beats the top score or it's just a huge score.
or, YES if it's an obviously small score that beats the current top score.
Just sharing my way to vote :)
correction: score is 18,800
thank you for showing dip settings.
are there many games like this where different versions of MAME require a different rom set to play the same game accurately?
a great game!
I don't know, I chose the one-player option. I thought it just worked that way, but maybe I joined the other player in unintentionally.
I'll make a note to try it again some time. Maybe I need to play again & submit a new score.
the way I would do it with MAME is record an inp and then run the playback and record video of the playback using a screen capture program -- I use aTube Catcher.
hey that place looks like fun!
dang! good score
these really should have a video if it beats the #1 score
yep... totally acceptable to press for points, the game has a timer!
welcome, Gamegod! this score has come CLOSE to getting accepted.
for future reference, a photo of your device gets a little better results.
a video pretty much assures your submission will be accepted.
Looks like a fun game
Welcome, zev! Don't worry about all these no votes, it's just like that with web & android games, users want to see a little better evidence than a screenshot, since it's so easy to make a fake pic. Personally I always vote yes anyway on scores like this, which aren't close to the top score.
Just fyi, if you want a better acceptance rate, video works best, AND photo of your device with a name tag does pretty well too. EXTERNAL video is the best.
do you know how we can verify what romset you used?
So, does that work for the title of this score page? Do we need the game title adjusted here?
Yeah fine by me, works just like Double Dragon or Donkey Kong. Pressing totally acceptable in my opinion.
I'm curious, why the 2-player score?
so you mean, I can put it onto a usb device? and play from that?
just want to let you know, "The Tower of Druaga [todruaga]" is now in the database. (someone else requested it too)
"Very Hard" shown by star in upper left corner
thank you for all your voting!
not yet but I read about it & am downloading now!
Wow, what controller did you use?
thanks for introducing us to Lakka !
this is the only homebrew game I have for the 7800 x)
correction! I scored 75,372... (my error)
it's now corrected :)
no, I haven't used it. Although it is very nicely modded with an RF connector for modern TV's, it also has a bad connection at the power input, and will have to be re-soldered before playing. But this is easy to fix & I'm very happy to have the Coleco Gemini.
I see you're getting some no votes on this score. Users mostly want a little more evidence, especially when the score ranks highly like this. I know it's not a particularly huge score, and so to welcome a new user I'm voting YES, but just FYI, if you get a photo with your name tag it will do much better in the voting.
big score! :)
wow, nice score
Wow, I didn't know you can drop bombs!
wow, I see I actually played this game before the HSC round!
Wow I never saw a picture of that game cartridge !
oh, I get it now!
Yes vote from me :)
I saw "Wave 1" and "Medium" at the beginning. so how is this score for [Wave 2 - Medium] ?
I played Mr Driller and Mr Driller 2 for weeks each and I just kept getting a little better by playing more. but only slow improvement.
don't worry your scores will go through... sometimes it just takes a little while
that's a pretty addicting game!
the small rabbit-holes indicates Difficulty A
I vote on everything so I will do!
welcome to Highscore
I mostly get 80-140k but sometimes above 200, so that's why I think you can get 200,000!
but if I go to the barcade and they have Joust, my goal is 100,000!
I'm gonna vote no I guess.
the top score for this game has a full video and no point-farming.
yeah good version!
nice shootin' !
some atari 2600-compatible systems have inverted difficulty switches for some reason.
examples: Atari 7800 and Sears Video Arcade.
nice... I tried to reach 1 million for years, still never quite did it!
yeah frustrating, lol
not the best version but it's still fun :)
improvement for me, but still falls short of the top 10
oops! thanks guys
how did you respond to me within 1 min. ??
and this score is from 20 days ago, just luck I guess?
but, I don't see my submission for this game.
ha I didn't know this game was on Colecovision!
go for 200k you can do it!
thanks for the votes!
this score isn't a huge one so I don't require video, so voting YES here
this is pretty good evidence for picture-only. not a huge score, not sure why this is getting the no-votes.
maybe people requiring video I guess...
I still haven't figured out how to play this game
nice going, nads!
I'm voting YES even though the video doesn't show the Atari switches in the A position.
One of them has no function and the other one just toggles music on and off. So, the difficulty switches don't matter.
i see it now.
& I see your point, you make a good point. We should really get into requiring better evidence. I remember another guy who made a similar point with a fake maxed-out Ninja Gaiden score.
he didn't get banned but he would have if he hadn't bowed out voluntarily.
he had multiple accounts and was voting for his own scores and giving multiple no-votes & that's what gets people banned.
I don't remember what you did though...
I gotta check this game out.
wow! nice goin'
wow I've never seen that cartridge :D
yeah I thought maybe that's it, looking now it was already :20 for a bit when you start... and just a little into :54 @ end.
your scores are legit!
Voting YES !
I thought it looks like it starts @ 0:20 and ends at 0:54
which would make your time :34 -- is that not right?
anyone not seeing the score, it's at 4:42
just for information's sake,
in this game the Difficulty A setting doesn't make the game necessarily harder, it only adjusts your preference whether your shots come out automatically when holding down the button.
so some (including myself) prefer the (B) setting.
I would not require any better evidence for Galaxian when the settings are (A) difficulty.
I like those Polyvox cartridges! I never got one.
yeah and the face in the video definitely looks like the same guy in the avatar photo so that's just as good as a name in my book.
I think this chart was entered mistakenly.
It should be POINTS, not time.
Mushroom cup / 50cc from start to finish, ALL tracks and the final score (points) is your score.
somehow GAY got this score passed with 100% careless voting...
WOW, yeah great score!
thank you :)
yeah at that point it becomes just a game of patience & endurance.
... which means your score is still a greater feat...
so we'd still like to see your video!
oh nice. x)
I've been realizing jamma is legit arcade hardware. I still don't know why Jamma Pandora boxes have separated charts though.
I like the quarters!
I was reading about JAMMA Pandora Boxes, and it seems to be legit arcade hardware, and not emulation. Does that sound right?
And, do you know why Pandora boxes have separated score charts?
Yes vote here, BTW :)
good pictures but I don't see where it shows what level that was...
wow, this is a slightly different version?
the arcade game normally gives you a score like 53 or 63 or something.
hey that's pretty good evidence for kuku kube, I'm voting yes on this one!
your marp score is 2,435,700 so that doesn't help.
few people will want to download more versions of mame & work on trying to get your inp to run playback.
in the future, if you have the inp, you can play it back and record a video to post here for evidence. That will help your score pass!
pac-man games just beg for a joystick!
wow good run
yep, not emulation.
Crystal Mines on NES ??!
I just gave this a try, after a few runs I hit 11. First time recording I got less than a quarter-lap from the 12 finish line!
tried a bunch more but with no improvement. Good job, it takes sustained focus and I think you're right 12 is probably the max.
good score, but it looks like that's probably a MAME cabinet, right?
shouldn't this be in the emulated category?
ya, good video!
so that's not a MAME machine?
... that's not bubufubu, is it?
looks right to me, good score!
holy crap, fantastic score
great score, that must be a lot of fun! to be able to play Defender like that :)
unfortunately I don't think this photo will get your score onto the scoreboard here, a lot of us will require to see a video with a score like that.
this stuff can get pretty confusing!
just fyi, for Android & iOS games people here are beginning to require some more evidence for scores taking the top position. A photo of your device will help, and definitely a video of the gameplay will get your score accepted. A video would leave no room for mistakes as to whether cheats got used, or whatever people are looking to rule out.
This is madness!
that's a nice lookin screen right there x)
i don't understand the title
I'm wondering, how can I tell that this is "[Arcade Level 1]" and "[Arcade]" ?
probably they just thought the evidence isn't good enough to put it on the scoreboard. I think usually that's the case with no-votes -- voter thinks submitter did earn that score, but votes no based on voter's criteria for what is good enough evidence for a given score/scoreboard.
personally, I vote YES. (it's not a huge score and doesn't beat the top score so I do not require anything more than minimal evidence)
things the voter may have been looking for:
-- some kind of identifying sign that it was Zayd811 who played the game
-- photo rather than screenshot
-- video evidence
i see this submission got a lot of no-votes.
just FYI -- these kinds of games need a little better evidence these days if it beats the top score. Probably just a photo of your device with the score and a name tag in the photo would be good enough.
good evidence as alwys
i don't think I've ever played this :)
yeah I had to do a double-take when I went to submit this x)
Wow, awesome thanks for that!
I still have a box FULL of jittery paddle controllers I was about to give up on...
Moon Patrol's style of graphics in the arcade game, seems a perfect fit for Colecovision!
HAHA I know they're the most frustrating botched controllers ever!!
kind of a genius design, but it needs an off/on switch for centering the joystick, like the Wico controller does.
video not available in usa?
wow, nice run!
cool, I'll remember that...
oh! I see. x)
one of my all-time favorites x)
I thought the idea was PS2 slim emulates PS1 games whereas the PS2 fat plays them with PS1 hardware. I didn't know someone is saying PS2 slim emulates PS2 games.
Also, I thought that atari games emulated on a disc, and played on an Xbox one is atari 2600 emulated (not atari 2600), although for consistency sake we put it under Xbox one category.
kind of like how if you load some emulators onto an original Xbox and play NES and Atari, etc. -- it's emulation.
I'm agreeing it should go under Xbox one category since it comes on an official games collection made for Xbox one.
I just thought it can be moved into that category once it gets requested and made.
Meanwhile, it is an emulated score under an emulated chart, so it seems legit to me in the meanwhile.
cool ichigo, I lived in Michigan for 6 months.
looks legit to me.
voting yes. I think if you submit this same score again (with the same video), it will be accepted. It'll replace your current submission.
in the future you may get a better acceptance rate by also having a sign in the picture in front of the screen, showing your user name.
voting yes (small score)
i hoped you would do that >)
users here usually require some gamer ID in the picture
I don't mind accepting this since it's not taking a high spot on the list, but it looks like it's not going to pass so you might want to re-submit with some more evidence.
hi DakotaKid! just for the record, can you say how many points per bonus life?
Waterborn2o2p scored his 33million with extra lives every 25k. My score was done with extra lives every 20k. so they might need to go on separate charts eventually.
I liked seeing your Pengo score. I've never seen a Pengo arcade machine!
looks like a pretty good version!
so is that a homebrew version? it looks enhanced.
great evidence, as always!
my favorite PC controller is the Saitek P220:
there's one with analog sticks, the P880:
i'm not a fan of the xbox controller for retro games but I also don't like the 4-button pad. the Saitek controllers work great I think.
I vote yes on scores like these but if it smashes the top record I think it should have at least as good of evidence as the top score has. so this score I voted no, sorry!
I trust you made this score tho, peyo! just to be fair I have rules I vote by.
and, it's good to see the Lynx photos, good pictures. I'm still dreaming of getting a lynx. :)
and props to your teammate, that's a good score :)
it's fun to see your systems!
I like that cartridge!
I'm just starting to get more into pinball!
so I'm not very familiar with them & only played a couple of the old Stern tables.
The local arcades here have lots of them but I've been more hooked on the classic video games, like I was in the '80's, so I played a little pinball but never really got into one game.
exception: Funhouse (played a lot of that at a pizza place I worked at)
right, submit under iOS
welcome to highscore!
hey good choice of music! :)
the general consensus here is if it's a collection for a specific console that you can get on a disk, we put it under that console even though it uses emulation.
I can't really vote no though. It is emulation, similar to how some of the flashback scores get posted under emulation, or Virtual Console. It's not incorrect but should maybe get moved to Xbox one category whenever Atari Classics gets added, just to keep scores for the same game in a single chart.
that's how I'm looking at it so I don't mind voting yes.
and it gives you a score, that's great!
3 balls setting, so a little more evidence required in my opinion.
ha yeah it was one of my favorites
Actually played this with 3 balls but the other pics didn't turn out so I don't have evidence,
therefore submitting under 5 balls setting.
i will say that it's personal and I'm very happy about it ;)
yeah that's the way to go lol
yeah new changes happening in my life, but still gaming and still have many evidences waiting to upload!
funny I was just going to ask about the head lamp this time and you answered me first
i tried strapping a phone cam to my head once & it worked ok, but that's bad for the brains!
some will also want to see evidence of the number of balls used on the 3-Ball scores.
funny picture xD
I'm glad to see you're submitting for pinball as well :)
yeah it was called "Action Force."
agreed, props to Coleco for the music in this game!
I remember when I finally figured out about the double jump and suddenly I could get into this game, it was great, like I had a breand new game even though it had been in our box of games for like a year.
I grew up playing this game and all I ever knew is avoid the purple pickles, eat everything else!
oh I see. thanks!
great score man, that game's a doozey
voting yes, but I though you had a better time.
I counted it from: 0:01:01 to 0:15:59
-- which would be about 0:14:58
looks like 84,080 though.
ID is there - you mentioned who you were in the video.
nice one :)
nice, that's a tough score!
great score, nice pictures :)
Si, cheers & beers amigo!
good to see you back!
I think we need a different chart for this, there is already a score submitted and it's from the other Space Raid (which is a more acurate version of Zaxxon):
Maybe this Space Raid should be under the title "Space Raid [Megamania hack]"
I think that game gives you rapid fire automatically.
hey I like that picture!
yeah cool cartrudge!
I don't think I've ever seen that :)
to me that's a good score! that game's really hard for me.
I love the Parker Bros games! they were one of the best for sure :)
You need to plug the Video Touch Pad in the player #2 controller port, and the normal Joystick into player #1.
you'll also need to use the difficulty switches...
to understand the controls check the manual here:
yeah that game'll do that to ya!
one of my favorites back in the day!
yeah it's true I have that same one :)
that was some awesome action between 8:00 & 9:45
Happy Holidays, Oyama!
got it! cheers
great avatar, btw.
Thanks, I love it! my only complaint is the joystick flies off the controller sometimes, not cool. xP
I always prefer to play on a console and this last round HSC were all games I don't have, but they're all 3 on the Flashback.
yeah, I wouldn't worry about it.
this version handles a lot differently than the others I've played. It'll take some getting used to, but I look forward to playing it more.
I don't know. I don't see a problem with notifying people to include their name-tag and you welcomed JML and gave him a welcoming yes-vote. I'm glad when someone tells me what's wrong with my evidence. Everybody's different so maybe some people feel like it sounds rude sometimes. maybe pathebert thought "like everybody else on the site" sounded rude. Or maybe he just prefers to vote with the honor system and give yes votes without identification. Possibly he still has a bad impression from when you yelled at people for voting no.
Anyway it could be lots of things but to me it didn't look like JML had any problem with your comment and he even thanked you for the note.
it looks like your score is actually 6,466.
Lester got 6,740.
wow, pushing the bar once again!
I recognize the sticker!
I use a phone-camera to record my game for rollovers and big scores. If you don't have one a webcam works too and they're pretty cheap (especially used at a thrift store, like maybe $2).
Since you've just arrived, and also since rolling the score in Turmoil isn't too incredible of a feat, AND it's not taking over the #1 spot -- I don't mind voting yes!
yeah this game will put your hand to the test :)
your cartridges are in beautiful shape, wow!
this was one of my favorite games in the '80's
you may have trouble getting a score to pass on Expert/A setting without a video, but since this doesn't beat any current scores it will probably do fine.
and, a yes vote from me!
we use to get them at KayBee :)
to get your score accepted, you will have to submit it with a video or at least a photo of your device with the score & a name tag or something. See the current top score as an example of what will probably work.
and, welcome to HighScore!
heads up, ichigo!
that looks like 57.7
for Merged! scores, users here are now requiring stricter evidence, meaning probably at least a photo with your name tag or something like that. A video would definitely work.
nice game room :)
oh, nevermind I get it.
both runs are in the same video.
what I'm confused about is, it looks to me like the first screen of the game starts t about 0:00:13, and the final message appears at about 0:24:13
so, wouldn't your time be closer to 0:24:00 ?
I guess that is a good time-frame for this game, I'll accept it.
ah, ok. I knew there must be a way!
oh right! next time.
I actually hadn't tried that yet
I think that was intended for you above :)
hey welcome Jin! to HS.com :)
when I saw that score I thought... that has got to be oyamafamily, but no I hadn't seen your post at AtariAge yet.
looks right to me.
This is one NES game I have still never played!
welcome, rodge! nice CV collection there!
and, great avatar x)
yeah looks like it fails
I heard a similar review a few years ago about the Game Gear version but I would expect more from the SMS with its two controllers!
cool game :)
I wonder if you could find in the options, a way to change that??
Anyway I use Dell Webcam Central and no time limits, but I see you get a better quality video.
yeah good run!
a lot of the other speed-runs count the time from gaining control to losing control when the game is over.
bummer to get beat by that chicken xD
cool, good run on this crappy version!
yeah excellent score!
oh i see!
what was I looking at xD
i had a try at the prototype but I forgot to post my score!
I'm looking forward to playing this round's games, still haven't had much chance to play lately & was trying to catch up on Pepper II when I did. I'm surprised I won that last round!
wow I'm amazed no one had posted a score for this yet!
yeah they didn't quite have pinball figured out back then x)
Mario Kart needs much more competition here! :)
I play with only the black jumper-pack that comes with the system.
yeah I think re-submitting it would be less confusing since it's scored as a time.
Equestrian I changed to points:lowest.
so I changed this one to "lowest time" but it didn't translate right. I can change it back, or do you want to re-submit this?
thank you! I finally learned how to play it better.
yeah! just lots of work & lots of computer problems lately which are hopefully fixed.
I hope these all look correct now.
scores much lower than the top score I vote YES even if it doesn't have good evidence.
wowser I've never seen this game !
quality evidence and a big score!
no worries :)
I figured it wouldn't take long before somebody beat these :)
I like those high-quality pics too!
I'm curious, did you play with the Video Arcade II controllers and how do you like them?
Yeah I can do it & planning to but have had to deal with fixing my computer for the past week :D
I don't see the problem with this score but it seems like it should have a video to show it's done legitimately.
you tied my score!!
That game rocks!
very ;;nice x)
I'll play if there's a team contest! up to now I'm unaware.
and look at the scores, two ties, wow
ha, I agree. I like this bug.
a yes here!
low score why not.
users here started requiring better evidence for merged scores to take 1st place..
Yeah, there shouldn't be hyphens.
and what does "EMU:" mean?
I've done that a few times lately
I thought it should be centimeters though
Hey congrats, very impressive!
so many new charts to start!
Wow, yeah go for it!
Eventually I'll get a video up for this :)
frustrating & yet addicting game. I had a little better score but deleted the video!
Plays great! It's a little awkward to hold it that way but you get used to it.
I think so, if it has those options. All I see is "Press Run" & then "Ready" and the game starts.
welcome, maelogmz !
Nice cart, I've been wishing for that game :)
more like spamming.
hi Revgarth -
most of us here started requiring better evidence for Merged! scores, especially if beating the top score. A photo of your device with your username is the minimal that will most likely get accepted.
I saw that We got very close to the end!
Improved my score for the latest 7800 HSC contest.
I don't know, I guess it went legit after 24 votes... 23/24= .958333 The total # of votes required was getting raised from time to time as more users came to the site. I didn't remember it ever being at 24 (I thought it went from 10 to 15 to 20 to 25) but that's my only guess.
do you have a MAME setup inside your Q*Bert cabinet?
Is it okay to vote NO depending on their opinion? Or sometimes it's just like that?
... (i don't know, i don't understand?) ...
I supposed I can let that slide for now, Baz.
Just forget about all the troubles I've committed and let's move on to the current and what's next. Like I'm on a flight to Las Vegas, Nevada next month to play pinball with snapshots of pinball scores posted to this site, man.
Yeah! Your pinball trips rock! For adding more games to this site your are a champion :)
yeah I'm willing to let it go too. Let's not have troubles and just enjoy the site.
also, I'm sorry -- I just realized the comments above were before you gave us your apology. I just got tired of hearing about no-votes and then I saw this while voting.
this one seems close to being accepted. usually snapshots are not accepted without photo or video. I guess adding your selfie has helped a lot! :)
just f.y.i. for future -- if your device with the score on it do not appear in the same photo as your name-tag or face it will be treated by many users as no better evidence than a screenshot.
hi JaiJingle --
I'm sorry to see you were greeted like this. ichigokurosaki1991 is a long-time user here and posts many scores, but for some reason he's been acting out like this lately.
ichigo was originally very polite and respectful user for a long time, but then a while back went on a streak calling people trolls and cheaters and then he admitted he had been cheating & replaced his unfair scores with lower scores & video evidence. He apologized and promised he would stop but so far he keeps trolling many users (especially new ones) and calling them "trolls."
This is not the normal behavior here, and in fact one other guy got banned for doing it a year or two ago.
I hope you still like the site. Just f.y.i., Candy Crush scores are pretty much required to have video evidence at this point, since there are so many ways to use cheats and what-not. Photo evidence with a name-tag also fare better than screenshots.
ichigo, a while back you made a big apology and said you were gonna stop being so rude to people. But you never stopped at all.
So please, stop being so rude to people!
Cool! I look forward to your epic tours :)
tried to rotate it, oh well...
it's another improvement :)
True, this picture with your name tag might be good enough!
video will definitely do it.
Welcome to HS.com!
looks good to me
I hope you're still enjoying the site, man.
Gotta love it! :)
I never saw one for about 15 yrs. until I got this. It's a special system & was rare for me to see one even in the '80's so it was always a treat. I preferred the NES but the Sega had so much color and just felt different so it was fun. I remember playing a handful of games, Alex Kidd, Double Dragon, Hang-On, Alien Syndrome. Probably a few others.
I'm not sure I understand the question, but it is true that users can vote YES or NO, whichever they decide, and they can also give their reason if they like.
Playing Mr. Do! in the ColecoVision HSC, getting some practice on the harder Skill 3, and also replacing that crappy evidence for my old score. :)
voting YES here!
Small score so no video desired.
found it :)
hmm, that's a tough one for me. I'm sure you earned that score, but to accept it as the new record... Picture only & I see no evidence of the settings, or that it is the "wardnerj" romset.
Then again, the current top score doesn't either. But usually I think a MAME score should have a video if it takes over the #1 spot.
I'm not familiar with this game. It seems like a pretty big score. I don't know, I'm skipping it for now.
er, url I meant.
the link didn't work...
I hope so as well...
yeah, I wouldn't worry about it, pathebert. users are more strict with evidence on MAME scores & this is very minimal evidence, so I would expect some no-votes.
voting yes here, small score and welcoming the start of a new scoreboard :)
this is a really fun game!
I had no complaint about those grey bullets :) I thought they fit the overall look of the game, real sharp & precise looking, part of what gave the game its unique feel. at first I had some trouble seeing them but after getting used to it i liked it.
But if that helps people get into playing Battle Garegga I like that too! I'd never heard of this version either.
boy, this imaginary "troll" thing really gets people goin,' doesn't it?
Agree with DBC, I trust this score was honestly acheived but in fairness it's a huge score and should have a video, IMO.
Ha, it's about time
Good grief, great job!
I've yet to get a crack at that.
I haven't played Blazing Lazers in a few years & didn't even notice they're the same game!
Looking at it now, I noticed B.L. doesn't have the 2-minute & 5-minute modes. I have no idea about the main game, but yeah the Japan versions are harder a lot of the time.
;) he, he
wow, what a setup. and with the Flashback controller too...
well I wouldn't take it that far, but Merged! scores aren't getting accepted anymore unless they have at least a photo of the device with your score & probably also need a name-tag or something.
"Must be played on a Game Boy... or Game Boy Player GameCube attachment."
played on Harmony cart.
A small improvement.
well I guess I forgot how to put a picture here so I'll add it to the evidence pictures.
Looks like your theory was right
of my last 20 submissions, only the video of an original Game Boy is getting through at 100%.
my latest 20 submissions:
Yeah, I remember playing this during a trophy-cracking contest, really crappy.
Great evidence, as always OG!
welcome, tefocm. I see this got a lot of no-votes. At this time many users are requiring at least a photo w/ name-tag, not just screenshots.
I don't see the atari in the reflection, but I vote yes. It's a humble score, + good pictures. I don't like to require much evidence unless it's a big score.
photo + name-tag, fine by me
voting yes, btw !
To improve your acceptance-rate, it's recommended to put something in the picture (like a name-tag) to identify who made the score.
my score from Atari 2600 High Score Club earlier this year.
The picture is dark, but if you look close you can see my name tag at the bottom.
oh, cool xD
thanks I'll try it out!
Yes! I understand, no problem. Keep it up & look for many improvements!
I don't know, lately I've been getting more no-votes. It's not the best evidence though I must admit.
thanks omargeddon :)
eyes were a little tired, but it didn't feel like 4 hours -- this game is so fun and interesting (for me).
And yeah, actually it plays a lot like Lode Runner, I didn't think of that!
nice, I tried playing this a couple days ago & got my arse handed to me
That's awesome! and hilarious
it seems impressive for Apple II
too bad you didn't make it onto the train
that looks incredibly, um...
It's fun to practice our Spanish, no?
This is one of my favorite games on the 2600, & never played it growing up.
Now I finally caught up to oyamafamily's score
That was fun!
A solid improvement on my way to total success...
ah, ok ;)
the Elevators from Hell, lol
congrats on making the Silver bracket!
Yo creo tu juego, pero ...
no se donde este dice "Mushroom Gorge."
so far so good!
sometimes no reason.
no just leftovers unfortunately...
OK it's a real Game Boy!
+original cartridge. We'll see what happens.
this is a pain, my game boy has no sound and won't run off batteries, I have to plug it in with the battery pack accessory. That and lighting is a problem and the window falls off the screen.
so don't expect many of these x)
many users here are requiring better evidence for Merged scores at this point. A photo of your device with a name tag would probably work fine.
I've been trying but having a hard time getting a good picture with that oldschool game boy screen.
now I'm getting 2-3 no votes on my TG16 emulated scores with videos.
fun game, I hope to get back to it.
I made many attempts but alas still fell short of Sixx's record
another failed attempt from the contest.
Oh I see there's 2 Ranma 1/2 games. Neither are RPGs.
nice. I have one that still may not make it - Magical Tolulutokun - it's at 78.9% & 6 votes left. One more no-vote & that one's sunk for now.
wow I thought Ranma 1/2 was an RPG
bubufubu deserves the top spot!
so I'm supporting this legit score submission with video so it can replace the old one that's in the wrong category and get bubufubu's score back in 1st place.
thank you ichigo for making it right!
this looks legit, people remember this is the only way to get that 30-lives score off the scoreboard!
DBCooper deserves the 1st place spot, so let's support ichigo's legit videos to replace his old 30-lives scores which are on the wrong scoreboard!
I think I like it better than the NES one by the look of it
nice job getting that far.
I have at least one positive result
only 2 no-votes this time, instead of 3 or more
+still more room for experimenting, we haven't done a video of an original gameboy yet, and there is also the fact I use and everdrive for this score. (not that this makes sense as a voting reason, but it may help us get to the bottom of testing this "game boy purist" theory of OG's. x)
thanks for your apology :)
youre an epic user here, I always like seeing your scores and I hope you find peace with the other users, so we can continue to see ichigokurosaki1991 rocking scores!
your pinball & arcade tours are awesome, it's fun to see your posts.
bienvenido, KGRAMR -- good score and I'll vote YES to welcome you to highscore.com!
para evitar votos en contra -- necesita evidencia del ajustes de dificultad. Y tambien una nota (tarjeta?) con su nombre para identificacion.
trae mas puntuaciones!
if not perhaps 4 or 5
alright here's an experiment. a Game Boy score. totally includes video
I've been having a hard time getting a video of a Game Boy game played on an original Game Boy. Still planning on submitting one, but for now here's this to see if I get 3 no-votes.
hi Gracelillie24 :)
just a f.y.i. -- users here are now requiring better evidence for this game if the score beats the current top score. A photo of your device with the score displayed and a name tag in the picture will make a big difference to your acceptance rate for Merged! scores. A video of your game being played on your device would be the best evidence.
happy gaming, & welcome to Highscore!
stay tuned for more TG16 contest leftovers...
yeah, seems unnecessary. The PSP version does that too.
It finally happened >_<
I still couldn't have kept up with NCG though...
Finally! this game shows up here 8D
I used to play this at a pizza place in the 80's
run starts at 2:46 !
Cool I never saw this before :)
dont like this game xP
I remember the arcade game, but only played it once or twice and got my ass handed to me. They had it at a 7-11 briefly, about 1989.
Other games they had at different times, same 7-11 -- Altered Beast, Street Fighter II, Outrun, Chase H.Q., Magic Sword, Buster Bros. & various pinballs.
whatever happened to 7-11's having arcade machines!?
I like the green can too x)
"dark" - and a bit stronger
This starts out as a strange & oddly addicting platform game, but once I managed to beat a boss & make it through a 2nd level, suddenly I'm in a helicopter fighting Godzilla!
...and we all know how that matchup plays out.
I like this game, It's really hard though!
Wow I got 4,000 pts!!
yeah, some of my scores get 1-3 no-votes, especially with pictures only.
Lately all of my videos passed with 100%
thanks for the fb link, is that your car with the anime picture??
yeah! nice touch, adding more fun :)
if only we could read the sponsors' logos, surely ACME had their fingers in this...
Voting Yes! I saw 583,400 but you also got 20 more points right before it ended!
Fun game! more than just an Amidar clone. To get a good score you have to ram the other cars off the road, & also go for the double-squares for more points and more fuel.
thanks! I always prefer the old-skool TV for Atari games.
Yes -- aside from the published rules, voters decide highscore policy.
a small improvement :)
Welcome to highscore, asteroidsdeluxe!
That's a great score and users here will mostly require a video to accept an arcade score that high for Asteroids Deluxe. So if you can make a video of your game play for this game I'm sure your score will be accepted. It will also help getting it accepted to set your initials on your home page, so people can see they match your initials entered in the game -- and also it helps to get a name-tag or something identifiable into the picture.
I have no idea why someone would call you troll but it seems that word has become a meaningless nonsense for randomly venting at new users. Overall it's a fun site & most folks here won't yell at you
wow, now I want to see that one in action!
MSX Collection for Saturn, I love that!
That is just how the site works.
Users can vote however they want, and there is nothing I can do about it.
No, ichigo, I just vote how I think is best for the site, & describe how I think is best to vote. Anyone can vote differently if they like.
I never tell anyone to vote no on your scores or any others. I appreciate your contributions here & I enjoy seeing your scores and videos!
I never think I'm talking to trolls. Users who were "trolling" at this site got banned or decided to leave. Also remember this site is also under your rule and mine as well as any other user & we all have the same chance to vote on any score.
If I offended you I am sorry. I really didn't mean to be offensive.
again, the maze layout shows it's Maze 2.
in reviews for this game, people say it's the best arcade game ever made! xD
Good score, & this is a great game!
does yours only play game boy advance?
I thought you could play game boy & game boy color.
I require ID and sometimes video for top scores.
I voted no on many of scottithgames scores, but I think he's a cool guy and he didn't try to bother anybody, so a no-vote is enough I think.
If it doesn't stand up to my rules I usually vote no. for small scores I don't mind and almost always vote yes. Sometimes I tell them my opinion and skip, for new users I might vote yes and suggest they improve their evidence.
yes I know his evidence isn't very good. Each user has their own rules when it comes to evidence and identification. So he may not have the same rules as you do.
But I respect you telling him your rules (and I agree big #1 scores should have ID). I just don't like when you call him a troll because he can use his own rules & get more no-votes if he wants to.
But it's not trolling because he's not harming anyone or harrassing anyone.
Don't you agree?
Awesome, I knew this was coming x)
Wow, great score!
how did you get so good at that?
That sure is a nice-looking Atari!
Mangia' is a surprisingly fun game :)
really tough game. I like it!
wow I had some weak evidences back then!
Yeah, but I figure it's the "harder" setting. getting that same score with 5 balls would be easier.
Whenever I see 5-ball scores I just check the score & vote yes impulsively. But with 3-ball scores it seems I should be able to look for evidence that the player didn't get that score on a machine set to the 5-ball setting.
wow, just barely squeaking by the trophy!
Devil World, looks like it's based on Tower of Druaga...
I was amazed, that was my first time even breaking 100k.
wow I bet that took a while! maybe 3 hours??
anyone voting if it makes a difference this game definitely goes on forever without getting any harder. you get the hang of it & can play all day.
aside from that it's excellent!
finally got the hang of this
i still don't understand the scoring though
usually it goes just by whole numbers but I agree this is the best way to do it and the title should also say [Tenths].
I'm usually not one to complain about mermorisation in games (love Ninja Gaiden & Solomon's Key) and Grand Prix had graphics & sounds that made me like it for a minute but not much more.
yeah I never liked this game. If it was the only game I had in 1986 I would have played the crap out of it & probably would like it. :D
this game is FAR better than Escape From Camp Deadly!
thank you, I played it for days. :)
It's hard & I still only got to the 2nd level.
after this video, youtube recommended "Hot Dog Challenge" lol.
same here! never saw that.
crazy the number of arcade games :D
ya good score!
what a streak!
you're the only one approaching OG's trophies cracked in the contest.
that game is number 1 on my wish list :)
in full-screen I could barely see that score, but it's there :)
oh, interesting, I'll have to try Robot Tank on that. sounds like it's either that or I need an adapter.
I'm liking that Jr. Pac too :)
for some reason i couldn't get the Genesis controller to work on a 7800.
I'm not familiar with that game yet
I think this is "New Adventure Island" (?)
I tried playing "Adventure Island (TG16)" and it was a TG16 version of Wonderboy III: The Dragon's Trap.
I've never seen that 2600 Junior before! it looks different...
the same screenshot, same score for Android as iOS ?
kuku kube gets a really hard time here, lots of no-votes. you'll probably have to submit high quality evidence for it to get accepted. A picture of your Android device with your name-tag would help a lot. A video of you getting the kuku score would work best.
Is there a way to tell by the screen that this is "Jump the Frog" ?
I thought that was a kind of annoying game too x)
Awesome, you guys whooped some ass at that game. my score is pretty pathetic!
this guy is friggin' hilarious.
I don't know, to me it says "World Ranking: 4"
HA yeah this one's wackey.
I've been getting more no-votes lately.
I can't say I've seen any evidence of trolling, so I figure most likely it has to do with their opinions.
I just got my 3rd no-vote for Konami GB Collection Frogger -- "I think a photo alone isn't sufficient evidence for this score..."
which makes sense.
oh, yeah good points.
that's a good idea, I'll use an original Game Boy.
yeah we could go on for hours x)
The score is 12,050
I found out it was an arcade game from the Taito Legends game for PS2.
and Atari Lynx!
yeah I wonder why not ?
It has been a long time that game boy (& handheld) scores get treated especially lenient. I wouldn't be surprised to see them start getting a little more strict treatment.
But, this is very sudden. 3-5 people voting consistently against Game Boy scores. Only my GB scores are getting no-votes right now. that would make sense as everything else I've been submitting lately has a video, but as we already talked about, Game Boy scores with video are getting no-votes as well, even with low scores.
no idea Someone decided GB everdrives are bullshit? And convinced a few buddies? That would be pretty strange. one thing I'm noticing is I'm getting usually 2 no-votes on every GB score. Yours & OG's, even though they have a video have apparently gotten more, so maybe there are a couple people who don't understand the Game Boy players & they aren't connected with the ones voting no to every one?
what a strange game.
HAL you're tearin' it up with this contest!
good to hear x)
well that's the farthest I've seen that game go :)
Good to see you again, KP!
oh, it looks like 3 no's actually :(
I remember thinking this version was especially hard.
yikes I see what you mean.
I noticed OG's were having a hard time too. It makes me think it's new users who don't understand the GB player & Super Game Boy, maybe they think it's emulated.
I think you only have two no-votes on your Nemesis score? same as I've gotten for these. Hopefully there won't be more than that, especially for yours, with video submitted and not even cracking the trophy!
I guess maybe a few people decided to say "hey these handheld games ought to be held to the same standard."
or maybe they're new users. anyway I've submitted a bunch of game boy scores that crack the world trophy, with only picture evidence, I guess it's about time I get a couple no-votes.
heandheld games are just as legit, worthy of competition games yet HS.com community has been extrememly lenient with them -- maybe that's starting to change.
maybe I can get a head-set for my camera :)
The game suddenly ended with congratulations & credits. Fortunately the high score still shows up afterward.
even though he's based on Jackie Chan!
for some reason I thought the high score to beat was 166,000.
I like how youtube always picks the dancing lady scene to represent Parodius videos. x)
wow you picked up a lot of points! same place I got finished.
Who is that giving the SW Holiday Special review? That guy's funny!
photo evidence for Arcade scores, I wouldn't take it personally GTI. not being a massive score, I'll vote yes!
yeah that's a shorty!
I played 1942 in the early 1990's at an arcade called Wunderland. it also looked like DBC's picture.
I like it!
what system is this?
wow that lime green background looks annoying!
yeah voting slowed way down.
yeah, I have it. I always liked Legend of Kage but didn't get very good at it.
ha I never saw that glitch either.
great score, beats top record, needs better evidence.
that was my favorite comedy show when I was around 7-8 yrs old xD
"What a beating, ladies and gentlemen!"
I like that adapter!
great run, that's such a great game!
one of my favorites growing up!
It's just a lot harder!
made for a special contest.
you need at least 25 votes and 80% accept rate.
Is that from the Activision collection? If so I think it's considered a Playstation game & not emulated. it might be emulation on the disk but we've been calling it a Playstation game, even on PS2.
it's my main handheld of choice ;)
yes, if you have an emulator on your Playstation it's valid here
Right, I did not play on the Teddy-Bear game selection
I don't remember much about the levels.
hmm, sounds similar. this one I played on the everdrive though.
hmm, you're right, the font is different. maybe it's the Japan version? or maybe a hack or something? Looks the same other than words & scores.
looks super challenging
the game keeps crashing at the finish of this scene (I think Scene 8). After a number of attempts I managed to squeeze enough points out of those levels.
Ha totally. I always lumped that game in with what I called "crappy space shooting games," along with Alpha Mission & Star Force, etc.
Star Soldier remains my favorite of those & I actually like all of them better these days.
another one I just bumped up to 80% !
that's good evidence I thought, your scores are having a hard time for some reason.
yikes! well I just bumped it up to 80%, I hope it holds up!
maybe some are looking for evidence of the romset?
is that one player withh two controllers?
I read some reviews of this game & it seems to get the reputation as being about the worst Star Soldier game!
I don't know what people are smoking, this is my favorite one :)
ok, same exact thing just happened. Since my note from 7-03 I've hit "enter" in that same situation twice. once it just entered my vote & did not trip the bug. This time it tripped same as on the 3rd.
highscore users have begun demanding better evidence for Merged scores beating the trophy.
you can get a better acceptance rate by including a name-tag in your picture
it makes good evidence for a 3-ball score!
"This video is a duplicate of a previously uploaded video."
video not available (America)
Awesome, that game is so tough!!
I always forget you can put up your own ladder! that'll boost my Game Boy score x)
I know I can improve mine but I'm pretty much folding with this game.
shorted yourself 200 pts.
this score is for [Normal Mode], not [Panic Mode]
maybe the voter wanted evidence of the romset.
good to see your mario kart scores!
yo falle llegar al maximo puntos!
no tengo las habilidades para este juego todavía
I'm so happy someone else picked this game after we didn't go with it!
as Mantalow said, it's not better than a NES, but maybe this version of the game is better.
It's more challenging, many of the bugs are removed, and you get your time bonus on the castle levels
having played it endlessly on the NES helps but this one is much harder. I've made it to world 6 once years ago so I'm still hoping to get farther. The spot that kills me also gave me trouble on the NES version.
it's true this is not stated in the rules. but some things must be decided by vote, and many users do not approve of exploiting glitches in the game. oyamafamily refers to TwinGalaxies for rules to vote by in this game.
usually, for players who have attempts using glitches, a special chart must be made with [Any Tactics] or [Glitches Allowed] in the title.
bienvenida al sitio!
gotta love that!
Thanks! I love the game!
the dog, she barks at cats, dogs, random people, and the mail lady xD
nice, that was a hardcore score to beat! x)
gracias por las fotos, omargeddon! Me gusta su sistema de juegos!
Ser aceptado, esto tiene que ir en la categoría correcta:
Star Force [NES version] (NES/Famicom Emulated)
voy a votar a favor!
I think it's the NES version.
(not sure if there's any significant difference between them, but we have separate charts.)
Also it's emulated.
it's played on a clone GBA SP using a multicart, similar to a lot of my NES emulated scores.
shouldn't the Famicom version have the Tehkan copyright on the title screen?
I remembered this arcade game when I started playing this!
sideways here but no problem
I never saw that white label before!
So Side Arms is the same game as Hyper Dyne Side Arms?
yeah I agree I think he's legit gamer but definitely has some bogus entries accepted here! I think it's old ones like you said... that's too bad they got accepted but it could get fixed if MF requests it or replaces it.
Oh excellent, I'm not surprised it's great :D
Jungle Hunt was the first "computer game" I ever played (on Apple II). Until then I'd only played Atari 2600 & Arcade games. I never stopped liking it!
what a fun game. very different from SonSon but not a disappointment!
wow, yeah good price but still a tough sell!
12:49 - 21:04
score @ 12:11
wow, that is wierd! a bug I guess?
now I wonder, will it give you a crackage for the contest? I would hope so especially because that million+ score is most likely farmed and really shouldn't have been accepted IMO.
cool, thanks for the review!
HAA!! hitting the goombas at 11:32
I'm always so afraid of those guys
that title takes the cake
so I'm super curious -- what is that console next to the Wii !??
hey, OriginalGamer -- I've always wondered, what game is in that 2600 cart??
I thought the phoenix powerup sucked until I realized it makes you invincible for a while!
I like that 80's music!
I was also listening to the game music though. It's the same tune used in Double Dragon mission 4 !
I'm impressed with your TG16 collection :)
I love that system and have one, but sadly the number of games in my collection still stands at ZERO.
now that is one fine-looking expansion module!
better game than I expected!
basic arcade-style platformer
hey so did they steal this music from Double Dragon or is that like an old Italian dance tune or something?
I noticed you use the same strategy as I do. there is also a better one that I haven't been successful with called the "Big Sandwich." It earns more points than the Big X. I learned of this at the AtariAge highscore club playing Klax on Atari.
hey no worries it's fun to hear if you ask me!
you ever listen to those Stone Cold podcasts?
I'm glad it's difficult or else I wouldn't like it xP
I've played Quarth a bit on the Game Boy but it bores the hell out of me because it's so easy & slow.
at least this one whoops my ass making it fun!
yeah the NES version's great but definitely had to dumb down the graphics...
Internet Gaming Bash of the Year
annual MAME tournament
my best run before finding out about the special dip settings for IGBY
there it is! I love it
same here, I always have problems when I play this...
is your guy a sheriff? maybe you get to flash your badge & scare 'em away 5 times x)
I clicked on a video to find out about that new mini-NES and wow it was you!
good to see, I'll look out for more of your videos.
cool, I didn't know that worked on Atari :)
I love it when that happens! :D
back in the day I prefered to use my fingers on the NES buttons instead of my thumbs.
so for a game like this I'm comfortable to switch back and forth from my thumb to my pointer-finger.
I made a guess, maybe you have to shoot down every plane in the entire stage?
...since there is no intermission, just one area with a boss-plane.
watching any TwinBee video makes me want to play TwinBee!
accidentally recorded some without sound
I have a hard time with the controls. it's a different button depending on the orientation of the blocks!
voting yes to your videos and small scores.
Some, like this one, beat a world trophy -- in my opinion it needs video.
I tried to verify your scores at that site: www.emux.esero.net.
did not find your scores there, or any way to play games. I also don't understand the language.
if the romset is specified, that is to make sure that was the romset used.
some games have differences in difficulty, differences in game play depending on which romset.
if the correct romset is not in the system you can also request that one.
I'm not seeing in the picture any sign this was 3 balls
yes from me!
no sense requiring a video here considering the leeched score sitting at the top.
these pics also came out scrambled & I blew up the icon images. I hope they're legible! the bottome two I think I can read the easiest.
this is a hard trophy to catch up to!
top pic is a blow-up of the bottome one, taken from the icon display. for some reason some of my photos come out like this when displayed full-size.
Is there any way someone can verify these on that Emux site? I don't read the language but I tried to navigate around & couldn't find any scores or way to play games.
thought this would get me a trophy but I guess not.
such a relief to drop thos bug-bombs. Pretty stressful game!
fair enough, I'll request it as well.
TG - Just to compare the scores is all I meant.
I will take that challenge!
game night looks like fun!
yes from me!
I have an extra webcam, I could send it to you if that would help :)
yes from me, I'd only require video on this game if it cracks an impressive trophy or I think it's a really huge or difficult score.
i like the picture of the flashback!
it does seem downright unusual that this good of evidence is getting so many no's.
what is that, 3 no-votes now? 4?
using a calculator I see that 10 divided by 14 = 71.4
...suggesting 4 no-votes out of 14. very unusual!
good run, you got a yes vote from me!
I doubt whoever voted no reads that since they already voted & moved on. not likely to come back to all the score pages, etc.
I was thinking, why harrass someone so much anyway? And what if they actually had some reason in mind to vote no? not all reasons we could think of are on that list, what if they just picked a random one & moved on?
this is my favorite version of space invaders.
hey I dig the Wario hat !!
impressive WW scores!
yeah that shotgun blast just trashes everything! way more powerful than in the TG-16 version of 1943 kai.
yes! agree here, I'm playing it too & this game is exactly as derek says. Increase speed, Increase enemy fire Hack. feels like there's some other disadvantage too... ?
I rocked that on a cassete tape for years... I always wished it had that song from the karaoke scene!
I've never gotten past that big-bottom Bertha!
or Large Marge or whatever they call her...
I always forget you can kick stuff too.
Thanks! so I tried that, it went to a dark grey screen with the little "thinking" blue swirl, than back to black, then back to grey w/ swirl, then desktop/windows.
same with playback input.
do you think I need to re-download wolfmame106?
LOL! I couldn't have said it better myself
I'm curious, it looked like you intentionally killed off your remaining turtles at the ende there. Did you mean to do that?
hey well I'm impressed! I rarely ever made it past those electric seaweeds.
good video this game has been a bit neglected here I think & it's my favorite of the 4 NES TMNT's
you might want to resubmit this, it looks like it got a lot of no-votes before the video worked.
i like that emoto x)
a photo of the iOS device w/ a name tag or something seems to work best.
a photo of the iOS device seems to work best.
people here seem to get a good acceptance rate when they get the iOS device in the photo, so that might help.
& I agree it's an awesome site!
oh cool, now I can find out how this is played :)
this game never made any sense to me.
"I wanted to see video of the entire gameplay. A partial recording made me uncomfortable."
this is actually the entire gameplay. I did forget to mention, my phone almost died while I was recording, so I paused once toward the end of the video, to find the charger & plug it in. You can see at the end the game actually resumes until I get beaten down by two Chen's with 111,640 points.
This game doesn't have a timer so I figure it should require video to show no point-leeching occurred.
Wardpcl finished the game with 84k points so IMO scores higher than that should have a video. This game is more than generous with opportunities to just sit there milking points out of any enemy character.
instead I used scoring strategy and died in Mission 3, so lots of room for improvement here!
hi! good to see you back.
yeah, many systems are involved in the current contests! it just got underway too, so it's a good time to jump in. check the contest page if you're unsure whether a system is involved. --And yes, Colecovision, Colecovision emulated, and Colecovision Flashback scores all count if they break a world trophy.
I'm going for the TurboGrafx prize. If I have a lot of free time in about a month & it looks like I could catch up, I may try to compete in Nintendo and/or Atari too!
glad I could help :)
thank you. I might try to compete in that, but right now I'm focusing on the TurboGrafx-16 contest and IGBY 2016. I can use the Game Boy while I'm away from home, so I'm getting lots of nintendo scores as well.
this game is a wonder indeed.
that was awesome
they sure didn't screw this one up, did they?
It's been very fun interacting with some of you and watching your high scores; furthermore, the videos you guys have put up have also opened my eyes to some games I never saw before. This site is very fun, which is why I've had no problem submitting scores and voting as much as I can. It's very fun, as video games were meant to be!
True that! well said & this gets my vote.
106 recognizes the rom but when I choose "Play Three Wonders" (or any game), it starts MAME but then immediately goes back to desktop & wolfmame window, etc.
I'm sorry to bother you so much! I understand I need to learn this. I think I found a clue to my problem. I tried playing the game without opening the .inp & found the same thing happens, for all other games as well.
I can play games with wolfmame153 -no problem.
But wolfmame.106 has a different interface, I guess I don't know how to use it yet.
I trust your scores & I've also seen your scores elsewhere (I think RU). Just for the ones breaking world trophies I wanted to verify before voting.
another question -- have you successfully played back your inp file?
I sometimes use input files for NES games. What I do is run the playback & make a screen capture recording of the playback. That way I can put up a video & people don't have to download my same emulator & roms + learn that emulator, just to vote.
I have the one called 3wonders, just like in the title so I think it's something else I'm missing.
I don't know anything about wolfmame.174 but Shahbaz said it must be the same version of wolfmame to work.
@ Shahbaz -- are you sure that is the romset you used -- [3wonders] ?
ok, thanks anyway
it just does the loop when I hit it.
The flower below the score indicates +10,000pts.
the bottom pic is from just before the score rolled over so you can see, no flower.
what a crazy game!
ok, so I put the rom in the roms folder.
I put the .inp into the folder inp.
I selected "audit all games" -- not sure what this accomplished.
I selected "playback input" and opened your .inp
Nothing happens. screen goes black for a moment, and now I'm back to looking at the same MAME window.
any idea what I'm missing?
for IGBY, we can just record a video and show the dipswitches, inp not necessary, although it provides stronger proof if there is any dispute.
yes I've tried that before but it seems I'm lacking more information. I tried for hours once, getting help from people here & reading, etc. I'll try some more I guess...
But to be honest even if I can do it, I'm not sure I'd want to take these steps every time just to make one vote.
it would be great to have a video to see, and then the .inp there for further verification.
yes I can download it, but I don't know how to watch the game from an .inp
hey, great question! I was wondering that myself & never looked it up. I remember hearing that melody on Crankin' Craig's "New Stuff For An Hour" on Z-Rock. They put the lyrics to it:
"If you like scrambled eggs, then you'll love Crankin' Craig's... New stuff for an hour..."
so now I plugged the notes into a melody finder & here it is:
that little tune starts @ 3:23
I'm having a beast of a time trying to figure out how to use the smart-bombs. Do you know the secret??
at least in the arcade version I can make it work *sometimes* but still I'm clueless on that one, too.
good to see you back, killersquirel!
heres another YES for Wonder Boy :)
just sneak between her legs... of course!
I have no idea what to do with this woman...
hey, I tripped the bug!
In case it helps, I was voting "no," and gave reason "other"
typed in some words: "needs better evidence" & hit "enter" instead of the submit button like I usually do. it was when I hit "enter" that this page immediately popped up.
also, right now the url on my screen reads: http://highscore.com/score/?reason=Other&other=needs+better+evidence#comment
i'm pretty sure low score means you have to beat the game.
lowest score completing the game.
great runs, I love this game!
nevermind, i think i looked at the wrong part of the video :)
I think the 3 round game is different from the 2-round game, isn't it?
hell yeah it is! great job
i always think they're allowed but ther is some disagreement. different starts have been used for this score chart so it may be renamed with something like [Any Level to Start] in the title.
And yet I must!
I've just been trying for that trophy, no success!
wow! another pinball game :)
well I don't think you're wrong it's just how I'm looking at it. Some of these games I thought seemed designed intentionally to give the player an option, and give a reward for starting on a harder level, all scores going onto the same leaderboard. As far as I've noticed, Arcade tournaments for games like this, Tempest, etc., allow player to choose any level to start, and Twin Galaxies has always done it that way & I think RetroUprising does as well.
Also as long as no one user is actually required to start at Level 1 there is no disadvantage.
if it does get split up into multiple charts I won't complain though! & I'm happy to add specific charts if requested. :) And I agree that maybe these need a little better clarification.
If we do want call this [any level start accepted] then for consistency's sake we should probably request the same for others like Tempest, Blaster, etc..
bear in mind also, at higher skill levels, these starting-bonuses become rather insignificant. this chart is really just getting started with relatively small scores if you compare it to the TG scoreboard.
that's a really good score & i see this isn't getting a high acceptance-rate. For impressive scores that top the chart, many users here require at least a name-tag or some way to identify who did the score, and some also vote no unless there is a video. Of course, you're always welcome to submit scores with whatever evidence types you prefer, but just f.y.i. in case you're wondering about the no-votes this score is getting.
I think "default settings" can refer to difficulty settings/starting lives/dip switches etc. If it's an arcade game where you can't change the settings without a key to the machine, & you can plug a quarter in & hit start and it asks you which level to start at, that can be considered fair game to say, that's part of the game, part of the strategy.
Some examples I would agree to this on: Blaster (Arcade), Tempest (Arcade), also Tetris (NES), Dr. Mario (NES). for a handful of games such as these, my opinion is Default = choose any level to start and it's fair play for competition. I also think that many of these old arcade games were designed that way intentionally.
There gets to be a kind of fuzzy grey area between which games need to be split up into separate categories & a few games on this site may not be set up the best way. But I definitely think that at least for some games, Default = choose any start level as long as the settings are on default.
Another game: Magic Sword (Arcade). I don't think it matters for competition what level you choose at the beginning, it's just a part of the strategy and ultimately for top players it becomes a disadvantage to start beyond level 1.
HighScore.com doesn't specify this type of question in the rules given. Twin Galaxies states specifically that the only rules for Liberator are that the dipswitches are set to Factory Default settings.
The Twin Galaxies top 10 scores for Liberator range from 240,000 to 14,000,000.
I'm leaning toward the opinion that "Default Settings" here means basically the same as it does at TwinGalaxies. It's a matter of opinion & I think other viewpoints are valid but for the record I don't mind accepting this score for Liberator, and I have used the same logic for my submissions for the games Blaster (MAME), Magic Sword (MAME), Tetris (NES), Dr. Mario (NES), and probably some others.
was anyone able to watch this?
skipping for now, I've never been successful at running a .inp playback.
anyone able to verify this? if someone can & leaves a note here it will help with voting.
my score from IGBY tournament, 2014
you can check & see I played it at RetroUprising:
score #14 (I'm called Thundarr)
that happened to me this morning, right after I brok 1 mil.
yeah, great score! I had a hard time getting my 75k.
Is Pac-Man Collection on the ColecoFlashback?
the score table at the end actually reads 36,900
cool, I never heard of that
so... which version of Cybernoid do you like best??
I think folks are requiring better evidence for Merged! scores at this point. A photo of your device with a name-tag would probably work fine.
are you using a multi-cart?
wow this game uses a light gun?
no wonder I was so bad at it!
that was where they really blew it for me, too. I did manage to find quite a few good ones though. I also did like a few "3D" games like Twisted Metal & Return Fire & Tomb Raider & Resident Evil. And Final Fantasy VII.
THE PLAYSTATION KICKED ASS!!
good to see this
and -- great videos!
Bravoman will not be added to the hall of fame this year.
yeah I always thought the TG16 graphics seem possibly better than SNES. A buddy of mine argues whole-heartedly against that but some games like this one really make a good argument.
the SNES has other capabilities that pushes it up a notch, but IMO the TG16 actually has more of a "NES" feel to it! So the 16bit graphics just please better
