Thank you! :)
Yes on all!
Tolle Sammlung alter Computer und Konsolen! Und tolle Präsentation der Highscores! Natürlich ja zu allen!
Ja zu allen!
Congratulations to your Atari 8 Bit! Greatest 8 Bit machine!!
Ask if you need help with your new Atari...
Check out this thread: https://atariage.com/forums/topic/278212-avgcart/#comments
AVG Cart (which I also own) is an alternative. Copy the Images onto a micro sd, put it into the cart, put the cart into the Atari...
Hmm, that's odd. I'll keep my eyes open and let you know when I find out.
Yes for a bunch of your scores
Within seconds... Thank you! :)
Yes, 128 MB full with games... thousands and thousands of wonderful Atari games :-)
It's a flash cartridge called "The!Cart". An awesome cartridge flashable from the Atari. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQnsY9z7jQ4
Aw, you've beaten me. But YES, of course!
I don't understand why more and more people are asking for a video as evidence. Do they think I'm faking my pitiful high scores? This is the best way to keep people away from this great homepage.
Thank you. These are some lousy scores. But nonetheless fun to play.
Thank you! Playing on CRT is so much fun...
Yes vote for a bunch of your games...
You should see the other side of the attic... ;-)
Impossible to vote on all your games ;-) Too many ;) Just did 200 or so...
Get an AVG Cart! Copy the XEX or CAR files onto a micro sd. Put it in the cart. Put the cart into the cartridge slot. Switch on the Atari. Very simple! Doesn't work with ATR images so far. But very good with the before mentioned file types.
Yes to all!
Yes from me!
Yes, from me!
Thank you! A little bit messy as always...
Thanks Rob! Yeah, I missed it to make a photo of the computer for this score... There is a distance of about 1 meter between Computer and Monitor (TV)....
Thank you :)
That's weird. You will land in the build-in game when a diskstation isn't connected. Or, in your case, no ATR mounted.
Mount the ATR (or XEX) in D1:, switch off the computer, press OPTION before switching on and hold it for about 5 seconds while switching on the machine. The game should now boot.
Hope, this helps...
Yes from me.
I don't know this game. Looks intersting.
This game is tough. I manage to get to the Boss in Level 1. But no chance to beat him :(
SIO2SD should load all the classics!
Be sure to press OPTION while booting to disable BASIC.
Or disconnect the keyboard before booting. This disables BASIC, too, IIRC.
Many games need to disable BASIC to free RAM memory.
Yes, it's a wonderful machine
Yes from me! Greetings, Bunsen.
Thanks guys! :-)
Thank you :-)
Thanks guys :-)
Yes on all! :-)
Sorry for the blurry photo. I had to take it fast because the score screen disappears very quickly.
It's a new game from 2018. And yes, it is cool. But the Original on the Atari 8 Bit from 2007 is even cooler.
Danke! Ein bisschen unaufgeräumt... aber man kann dort super Zeit vernichten :-)
I did resubmit it as you suggested.
Resubmitted the score, because I added wrong photo.
Uh, second photo is wrong. It's from Thetris - same engine from same authors but different game. Can I delete it?
I should have tell him to put his name or initials near the monitor. I sat next to him at our retro gaming computer meeting and can witness his score. Please be tolerant to a newbie and vote yes.
I wish that would be my working place ... like heaven :-)
We've held a retro meeting in Elmshorn near Hamburg in Germany. I told him to duck, but he didn't.
Nice score, but it's the score for Arkanoid 2, Revenge of Doh... not for Arkanoid 1...
At first I wondered also and got angry too about NO votes. But with time I got dull. Every Score I get at least one NO. Don't worry about it. I never vote NO and hadn't had any doubts about legitimacy of scores.
I like your idea with the tape to use two joysticks :-)
Hi ichigokurosaki1991, thank you for your warm welcome. I was busy with other things, but I always come back to Atari gaming :-)
Almost the same... Very near to the version for Atari 2600.
Yes, thanks. It is like a Borg ;-) Adapted Hardware from other civilizations turned it to something new. ;-)
There are a lot of bad cracks of Wavy Navy out there. Have you played with firing enemies?
Thanks derek, I will take better fotos in future.
Eckn+ is the 2015 version of Eckn (without +). Noticed no difference in gameplay
Or better 1 MB (Ultimate)
I have 320 k RAM :-)
Yeah, ST is also is very nice gaming machine :-)
You're right .
I like your Nickname. I also love to play on original hardware and have a bunch of retro computers to play with.
Sorry and thanks :-)
Thanks, Mark :-)
There are also a lot of kind people here, with whom it is a pleasure to chat with.
I have a bandwith limit. You will see no Videos from me!
It's a bit annoying that one user always vote me none legit because he want to see videos of my scores. I am playing just for fun and highscore.com seems to be a fine opportunity to save my scores and have a little comparison to other players. But with annoying other users it's less fun and probably force me to loose interest in this platform
Played it for the first time now. Yes, it's quite funny.
Nice game :-)
I don't know how to pass the green laser and reach the "A"s. I died a short time after I took the photo.
Yes, one of the best vertical shooter on Atari ST.
Damned! Wrong category. It was emulated...
It's unbelievable what some guys can produce in their free time, and give it to the community for free. better then most of the commercial releases back in time.
I scored some points more, but the game crashed in Level 15. This was the last documented score.
I could make some pics...
You'll get only the cartridge, no other stuff. http://members.tcq.net/video61/compnew.html
Your information is wrong. Tempest Xtreem was coded from scratch. It's a totally new production.
But yes, Tempest is copyrighted by Atari. And so I doubt that it is legal to sell cartridges with the term tempest. They should have given it another name to avoid legal issues...
There was a cracker scene on the Atari 30 years ago. But nowadays there is no need for crackers. Almost all new productions are freeware. And the old ones were cracked long, long time ago. There are only a few exceptions (I think Atlantis Games Group - maker of Tempest Xtreem is the only).
It isn't too hard to dump the cartridge of Tempest Xtreem. But I and all the other customers respect the developers who want to earn some money with their programming and we don't spread the game. I have never seen a copy of Tempest Xtreem on the internet. There are so many thousands of old games you can find on the internet... No need for copying a special game.
Have you played on emulator? It looks like that you played on real hardware (because of the sony tv).
One of the best homebrews for Atari. But only commercial available on cartridge at Video61.
Welcome to Atari world! :-)
Danke, es bringt wirklich viel Spaß. Man kann es auch häufiger spielen, ohne dass es nervt. Auf Atari Age (HSC) gibt es noch ein paar bessere Scores...
That's true. Put music on 25% and fx on 100% and connect Atari with your HiFi. Sound will suck you into the game. If you are on the left side of the tube the sound comes from the left, and if you are on the right side, it comes from the right. Great experience!
Currently it is played at AtariAge Highscore Club.
Greetings S.BAZ! :-)
You finish one Level always with the same score (=meters run). This game is more about finishing levels than highscores.
Sure, and it isn't possible to get 3147 points. Level 1 starts with 0 points and goes up to 255(?) points. level 2 starts again with 0 points and goes to 255 points and so on. The program doesn't sum it up. Maybe it's better to delete this game from hiscore. Too confusing to transform it to a hiscore game?!
My friend Sleepy has written a very similar program for the BASIC Tenliners Contest for Atari 800 computers.
Yeah, it's a cool game. One "let me try just another game" type.
Hehehe, you got me, S.BAZ!
You'll start with 1000 points. There is no Level 0.
On every Level score begins from 0 again. So I decided every Level is 1000 points worth. Otherwise highscore gaming makes no sense in this game.
For example: Score 139 in Level 1 means 1,139 points, Score 60 in Level 2 means 2,060, Score 147 in Level 3 means 3,147 points.
