Yep, let's see what kind of score Baldbull posts.. you know he will :P
Get in the Chopper!!!
I knew BaldBull will chime in. Great score dude. One of these days I'll have to spend more time playing this one. Cheers!
Just returning the favor...
Nice! I'll revisit this one at some point. Cheers dude! How are those new joysticks holding up?
Recon mode is like the original Xevious. Scramble has power ups and allows you to select your Armada of ships pre-game.
did you play this on Low or High?
Good work, you are winner! Now go beat one of Bald Bull's scores ha!
9.1 = 91 as this site can't do scores with decimals. Cheers!
Nice one! Yes Vote HERE!
yeah, i posted this one around 11:30pm my time, MTN. The NO vote came quick, almost in the first minute after posting it.
Did you mail in a money order for the poster and sountrack CD?
That's one hell of a rig for such a small screen. I've never seen one of these before... cool stuff.
Nice score dude! It's a shame you didn't record the entire video though. How far did you get? Yes vote here.
Nice score, how far did you get? It's hard to tell from the screen shots.
Try the Arcade version. Very, very tough.
Yep, that one is on my list to play soon. If this system was released in the US, I bet for sure it would be just as popular and iconic as the Colecovision and C64 are. Great ports for that time.
No highscore table. Screenshot is of my final death. Cheers!
No highscore table.. this one shows a black game over screen after the game ends then restarts at the demo screen. Cheers!
Yep, bummer, crushed by a boulder...
Awesome port! Cheers!
One of the best home brews on this system and one of the toughest games. I will beat this one in the future.. Cheers!
Nice work! and you beat the tiger!
Ha! Yep, it's kind of the Paridous Da! on vertical shooters.Cheers!
The highest percentage I was able to get on stage 1 is 98%... I always miss one or two enemies early on. I agree, just all around great game play, graphics, sound, music.
It's hard to tell from your photo, but what hardware is that?
Yep, one hell of a game. It feels more like a Star Solider game than Raiden to me though.
It's flawed just like most baseball games from this early time of games. Just about any hard hit ball hit to right field can be thrown to 1st for an out. The runners are slow and can't beat it out. Overall though, this game holds up.
Yep, seems like there should be more to this game other than just hammering mice. Good game for 1980 though.
Thanks, yep, but I wish I had a real cabinet to play these classics on. My Xbox 360 pad just doesn't do the game or my score justice.
Thanks, but don't go out of your way. I'll search for it this weekend. I think the 16K rom is the 1984 prototype rom.
Thanks, but no thanks. I'm not a software collector, I'll try it when I find the rom file. Nice setup BTW. Does that 1050 drive still work?
I just looked and the top 2 highscorers of this game played the prototype version, not the official cartridge release. It's a much easier version and not polished at all. The final version shows points when you kill the spiders and other creature kills. Is there anyway we can rename this "Millipede [Prototype]"? If we can't, no worries, I'll just play the official release version and see what kind of score I can put up.
8 run difference. Grand slam in the 3rd, with 3 more runs driving in. Back to back homers in the 7th and a 3 more in the 9th. Final score 13-5. I played this a ton as a kid. At one time, this was by far the best baseball game around. Cheers!
Keep those Atari ST request coming GTI! I'll try to push those through ASAP for you. There's quite a few of those that I will try emulated when I find more time.
I decided to replay this one and scored 1.3 million.. video has default soft dips as well. Thanks for pointing the F2 thing out.
Good score Gazz!
It does, I just looked. I looked at the other scores posted for this one and no one shows their dips. The defaults in the latest version of MAME are Level 4 Difficulty, 3 ships, extend @ level 10 & 25, 3 bomb stocks.
Yep, score should be 15,595. Skip for now, will wait for repost.
No Dip Switch settings for this game as shown in video. Cheers!
Thanks JM, great scores on your recent batch of ZX Spectrum games. Cheers!
Actually, I kind of liked the voice. It reminded me a bit of Alpiner on the TI-99 just clearer.
Most of us are in the same boat. We just want to play these games to our fullest, post scores and have fun. Glad you see what the rest of us saw in that user with 90k+ pts and zero score posts. Nothing can be done, we've tried
Sean, It's not just you getting these NO votes. Every score posted to the site in the last 3-5 weeks have been NO voted on, sometimes once, sometimes 3 to 4 times. There's no fix for this other than to wait things out. See: http://highscore.com/discussions/topic/what-does-the-troll-want-from-us/990
The link didn't seem to work. I could only find the prototype version of this one but will keep looking.
Is this the 1984 prototype or a home brew finished version of the game?
This one took quite a few tries, but I was finally able to beat it. Great game, good music, graphics and game play.
This is one of the rare games on this system that doesn't do more than 9999 in pts and rolls-over @ every 10k.
1st rollover: https://youtu.be/29ylNbHhQxY?t=13m30s (10k)2nd rollover: https://youtu.be/29ylNbHhQxY?t=25m40s (20k)3rd rollover: https://youtu.be/29ylNbHhQxY?t=36m28s (30k)4th rollover: https://youtu.be/29ylNbHhQxY?t=47m16s (40k)
Oh man, this is what happens when you post a score of 5 just to get a trophy. Why not be a true gentleman and play the game to your ability and then post a score? I'd coin this as "Score Trolling" to be honest. There's no rule against it, but it seems like you are just playing this site and not actually playing the game. This site is called "Highscore", not "Low Balled Scores"... I voted YES if it makes you feel better.
Expert level feels more like how the arcade version plays. Major difference in difficulty when comparing Normal to Expert game levels. Cheers!
Ha, yeah, Coco's charge attack is crazy hard to defend. Last time I played this one, he owned me. I couldn't even get one move in because he'd charge the second I'd get up. Good score!
Thanks dude. I had to give this one a try as I just played it's Sharp X68000 port "Sol-Feace". They were smart to change the name of this game for this US/Europe release... It's almost identical to the X68000 version, good port.
Oh man, you were using the mouse button all this time? I do the same, keyboard and mouse. My index finger was fatigued the first few times I tried playing all mouse. Cheers again dude, great score.
Looks like you added 2 games to this one.. Hong Kong Phooey, #1 super guy.
Woah, damn, I thought I had this one. It wa fun while it lasted. Cheers, Yes here!
Wow, great score Gazz! Yes vote of course including a bow to the master Imagine how much further we could get in this one if there wasn't that reload pause. It bugs the hell out of me when playing this one. Cheers dude!
Great game, one of my faves! Yes vote here.
One of the best games on this system. Played on normal difficulty, which is the default setting. Cheers!
Easy.. ha, this game is one of of the toughest shmups there is. I can't imagine what this game plays like on Hard difficulty... Cheers!
This is the europe PAL release of Contra. They made the main character a robot and renamed the game on the NES from what I remember reading. Violence was the issue, they thought killing a robot was less violent I guess. Yes vote here!
I think a lot of us are in that same mind set at this point.... Thanks for the Yes's!
Voted yes as well. Wow, I haven't seen this game in a long, long time. All I remember is the farting sound when your ship gets hit
Nope, and I've looked. Everyone is either getting one or 2 NO votes on every score. This has been going on now for many weeks...
Yes here. These trolls don't give a shit about evidence. It's just someone voting NO across the board on every score. I just posted a score and in less than a minute I had a NO vote.
Oh, Yes here of course.
And many more scores to come. I'm ripping through this library and adding many new games. Great little system, it's a shame it was never introduced outside of Japan. Cheers.
I'm not all that worried about the legit rating thing. That will even itself out over time anyways. It's more of the fact that someone is voting NO across the board. It's just bad for the site and should be looked into. It really can't be that hard for Serious to query the site's database to see who this is, and then doing something about it. That's just my two cents on this for now. If you can, just drop him a quick note. The more of us who do, the better chance something is done about it.
I wasn't aware until now that you could play SG-1000 games on a MasterSystem. Very cool. Yes here as always.
I don't think this NO voter is being picky on evidence... Were you able to contact Serious? Many of us are holding off submitting scores until this get's remedied.
Yep, this has been on-going now for a few weeks... Someone is voting NO to every score posted to the site. Many of us have contacted Serious to see what he can do about it but he's MIA...
You've been busy! Yes on all of these, good scores!
Congrats dude, that's going to be tough one to beat.
Yes here! How solid and weighted are those things? Sturdy?
Wow, something weird just happened. I must have posted my new score just when my previous was voted through. Repost: http://highscore.com/scores/SegaGenesisMegaDriveEmulated/MidwayArcadesGreatestHits/61085
Default game options displayed in first screen shot. Cheers!
I just replayed showing options. http://highscore.com/s/61083 This to your liking? :P I always play on defaults, didn't see this game even had options when I first played. Cheers!
Imagine playing a game 20-30 times, setting the highscore, then posting more than enough evidence, and getting multiple NO votes...
I'm pretty sure it's one of the more regular members on the site, but that's just from what I've seen from the timing of the votes. Myself and many others are now getting 2 NO votes on scores... Time for me to take a break from this site for a bit, this just being a good reason to for now.
Video doesn't help, this one is voting NO on every score. Yes vote here as always.
Yes vote here!
Nice score! Yes here
Will do. The rom said galaxian.x80... I just figured it was Galaxian.. my bad.
TKO'd Tyson with a star punch! Great score dude!
What is that first photo of? Skip for now...
First Yes! I never post this but with the # of NO votes lately, thought I'd chime in.
Very strange high score table as it added duplicate scores when I tried to correct my initials at the end of the game. Game Over @ https://youtu.be/WpgfQRJNeAQ?t=6m44s
Oh hell yes!
Totally my bad. No harm done though. I'm glad this didn't get voted through under the wrong category. Cheers!
There you go. I can see the the third image now.
Where is the score in your photo? Skip for now....
My bad, I just did some searching around and see that original 1983 version I played on the Atari 8-Bit as a kid was actually a 5200 port. arggh.. I thought they released two different versions, one in the early days on the 8-Bit and then this XE version when the XEGS came out. I'll kill my score here and repost under the other game. Thanks for pointing this out. I really always thought there were 2 released versions.. arrrgh.
Fun version of this game. I still like the C64 version best, but this one is damn fun. It took me many times to pass your score BTW. Cheers!
I'd say I'm sorry, but I'm not Voted YES to your Galaga score dude, nice job! Trolls are out in droves lately.. so many NO votes on my most recent scores. I think I've become passive now.. trolls are just part of this site. Easier to ignore them and just have fun playing the games. Cheers dude!
Cool, just wanted to point that out. I figured it was a mistake when you started the game and prob. initated 2 player instead of 1. It's funny it passed in voting :P Play it again, great game! I'm going to tackle Gauntlet 2 on the C64 soon. Cheers!
Thanks dude! Yep, it's like Tempest but not identical. Kind of a mix between Tempest and Gridrunner.
Nope, this one is from 1986.
I played this one a bit in the 80s and was glad to rediscover it this evening. Final score @ https://youtu.be/dS8bU-i7qX4?t=6m35s

I just played this for the first time in 30 years tonight. Fun game. I noticed in your video you have 2 players going, both bound to the same joystick controls. Is that the normal score game play for this one? Seems sketchy.

This is another game that gives you milliseconds to take a snapshot of the Game Over screen. You can faintly see the Game Over text fading away. Cheers!
First game played off of my new Everdrive N8 cart. Cheers!
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the extra zero in the score table. The Game Over screen shot score is the correct one. My guess would be the developers didn't finish the high score table code, as this game was submitted into a competition and may have been rushed. The game is excellent, glad they focused on that.
I use Altirra for the 8-Bit games. I'm going to try this one on my 800XL soon as well. And nope, I've never seen a list of acceptable emulators. Most of the regulars here I believe also use Altirra.
The initial entry in this game doesn't work, Hi-score is @ 4:20 ... New home brew, and one of the best yet. I would have loved to have this one when I was10 :) Cheers!
But much tougher.. This has to be one of the top 5 hardest games I've played since I joined this site.
Played at 1UP in Denver, Colorado. You could tell this machine had some mileage just looking at the worn down control panel. The game was still solid, played nice. Cheers!
Played at 1UP in Denver, Colorado.
Played at 1UP in Denver, Colorado. This was a spontaneous happy hour and I didn't have my Highscore ID on me. Cheers!
Damn, nice score Omar!
Yep, home brew from 2011 or 2012. I was never very good at this game on the 2600, even with paddles.
The opening title is hilarious. I hadn't laughed that hard at video game in a long, long time. https://youtu.be/rUyZMEUG9_Y?t=8m26s
No Hi-score table in this one. Great game for 1991.
Horrible controls in this game...
Good catch... first time I've done this. I'll repost.
Good, I wanted to play this one again anyways
#1 Super Guy! Yes vote as always.
I have the Blackwidow Ultimate Stealth 2014... One of these days I might have to try using the KB to play these shmups. You seem to have it mastered at this point.
Ha, and I thought I did well with my score :( What brand and model keyboard do you use?
Metal Slug 2? He's legit, it's a timed game. That kind of game play isn't my thing, but he's cool, and pretty damn good at that game. I questioned a similiar video a month or 2 ago, Double Dragon... and was explained that it's a timed game so glitching and farming is fine. Again, I won't play those types of games. To each his own though I guess.
I should have looked.. the 3 C64 admins "Deteacher, Maxwel, Sixx"... Maxwel seems to be the only somewhat active user on the site.. I'll ping him. Thanks.
Actually, this is something you can fix since you are a C64 category admin. We are able to rename game titles as long as there are no scores. I was able to edit quite a few Apple game titles that had misspellings or were incorrect. In the admin, edit a game and then edit the url changing the id to "60128".... reload and you will be able to edit those games. If you can do this, I'll repost my score again. thanks again!
I take that back, not a bad game, just not my type of game. I decided to just delete it for now, no worries. Thanks for pushing through my recent game requests! I think that is you pushing through Rowman and a few others. Cheers Frankie!
Naw, I'll just delete the score from the site. No worries.
9% = 9 points.
Yeah, I can see someone just racking up kills for score. I can repost as 4. It's a really bad game anyways :P
Cool, take a look at how other's post hardware console play on this site. Most post a picture of the console, cartridge (sometimes), a screen shot or photo 2 of the highscore, sometimes video. You'll get more Yes votes and trust here if you do as many of those as you can. Cheers dude, nice scores!
Is this a VHS recording? Got a picture of the console?
They are all decent ports, but the PS1 version was my least favorite. The Gamecube version was the best. The SNES and Genesis versions were pretty good for those platforms at that time.
Yep, the 2nd boss tank thing was insane. I was surprised I was able to get past the two creepy bosses before that. Quite a bit of nading and cartwheeling to make that happen.
Crushed by the ceiling as the water level increased, I believe. I was going to play the game a few more times to see if I could increase my score a bit, but that last death did me in. Very strange home brew game... Awesome title screen and music though.
I wasn't expecting such a fun port of this game on the 2600. It's a shame it was never released.. just like the Atari 8-bit version, only prototypes of the game exist.
The enter initials prompt pops up the second the game ends, hence the ASB and not ISB as I was still hitting the fire button at the end of the game. Good Cabal'ish type game! Cheers!
That second wave is so tough... I feel like it's just pure luck not getting hit by the fire of the turret ships, as there are 3 or 4 them attacking at once. Such a great game though.
Just as fun as it was on my Mac Plus back in the late 80's. Great sounds, really touchy mouse controls. Cheers!
This is a really good home brew arcade port including digitised speech which was very rare in Atari 8-bit games. Cheers!
Cool, thanks. Nope, but I have used WolfMame in the past. I'm using MameUI. If and when I decided to post score up on TwinGalaxies, I'll go Wolfmame. For now, UI is the Mame emulator I've used for a decade or more.
I'm on v.185 now.. do you know, when it comes to emulation, if there are major changes that would effect play and scores? I'm sure they've cleaned up many emulation bugs over the versions. I know a few of the MAME scorers here are on older rom sets and MAME versions just from seeing their dip switch defaults. Thanks for the link!
Wow, I totally forgot about this game. I'll have to give it another try soon. Yes vote here! Great score.
In time... I have played it before, but enjoying the 8-Bit computer games at the moment.
I think you might be right. I don't remember Snooper and Blabber though.
This version of Popeye still holds up well. I played many, many hours of this game as a kid and owned a Popeye Arcade cabinet for 5 or 6 years in the 90s. Cheers!
I was unable to figure out the highscore initial input at the end of the game so I went with AAA. I tried every common joystick movement, typing my initials via the keyboard, but I couldn't figure it out. Tough game, toughest highscore initial input setup. Cheers!
Yes vote as usual! What emulator do you use for the VIC-20? I have a very complete romset but haven't tried emulating yet. Thanks!
Yep, very odd recording... Try using OBS Studio, it's free and does a pretty good job of recording. This video seems sped up, or slowed down, I can't really tell... Skip for now.
Try OBS Studio for recording. If you play with it a bit, you should be able to get decent video recordings and not 3 FPS as this current app is doing.
Screenshot is of my last death to end the game, no highscore table in this one. This may be the hardest platformer on the Atari 8-Bit. Good music, very tough game. Cheers!
Really fun port of this game, but the jump controls are slow and awkward compared to most of the other computer versions.
Nice score Bull! Yes vote from me!
Addictive game... I played this "Hustler" difficulty 7 or 8 times and this was the closest I could get to beating the computer. He's ruthless at this level. Cheers!
1,000 games come loaded, but it also allows for a MicroSD card that you can load with roms. Fun little toy so far, and probably my last for a while.
Damn, Detlef with the triple double!
For the 5200 Rom: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/221715-drelbs/
For the Atari 8-Bit Rom: http://atarionline.pl/v01/index.php?ct=katalog&sub=D
Hope this helps. I need to play the 5200 port again... I've gotten better at this game since I posted this. Good luck dude!
I was all ready to post this one as "80 pts" when I realized MattFelix, who scored a perfect 9, entered 9 and 90. This game does decimals in final scores. Oh well.. Since I had these photos ready to go, I thought I'd post it anyways. Cheers!
I hit 53k yesterday but fumbled with my phone and wasn't able to take a photo. This game gives you about 5 seconds when the game ends before it automatically starts a fresh game... Cheers!
Did you play this in your van, down by the river? Love the avatar!
Or better yet, 2 button controllers
Classic99. Solid emulator for the PC but I think there's emulator's or ports of this one for other systems.
Omar, check out this link http://lotharek.pl/category.php?kid=10 It sort of shows the evolution of the Atari 8-Bit family. The XE Game System was the final Atari 8-bit machine released I believe. There are still Atari 400's out there. I have one in storage back east. The issue with that machine as it initially had only 16k ram, they released a 48k 400 at the end of it's run. They keyboard on the 400 was flat and really sucked if you had to type a bunch. The Atari 7800 was a big console, hope you have room for it
Yep, I couldn't resist and bought a refurbished Atari 800XL. The seller threw in Jungle Hunt and Space Invader cartridges, and I bought an SIO2SD ... I had this same 800XL back in the day.
Will do, still many, many games to play. I'm loving the games on this TI-99 computer.
Oh yeah, I had Dodge Em on the 2600 back in the early 80s. Frustrating game!
It's a really tough game... I was unsuccessful in refueling 100% of the time..
If you use a PC, look for "Classic99". This is the best emulator for the TI-99 I could find. For roms, they were hard to find.. I'll save you the search: http://tigameshelf.net/asm.htm
Yep, and a few others like Pole Position, Congo Bongo, ET, Galaxian, Star Wars, Zaxxon etc... All of the games I've played so far have been enjoyable, comparable to the Colecovision and better than the 2600 versions.
That sucks, are there any other emulators available? Roms can found here: http://tigameshelf.net/asm.htm
Awesome, try this game out and get past the natives. I want to see what happens. I tried so many times that I finally settled on this score with plans to try again in the future.
"Classic99" is the emulator. Yeah, I didn't know anyone who had this console back in the day... it's my first time ever checking these games out. All of the games I've posted scores for are quality (for that time...) games. I believe there's an Android emulator for this system.
So far, this is my favorite game on the the TI-99/4A. Home Brew, 2014.
Thanks! I did some research and noticed MAME will do the job. If that doesn't work, I'll try the one you suggested. Cheers!
No in-game music so I found the intro sid file and played that in the background. The 1st screen shot is millseconds before my final death. Cheers!
Hi Hudson. Curious, what emulator do you use? This is one of the last mainstream consoles I have yet to play on. Cheers dude!
Hey Frankie. Are you asking me how I find so much time to game? If so, I've just had a ton of free-time since late last year. I'm also pretty proficient at playing and recording at this point. I find it much more time consuming to play on the original hardware. Speaking of which, I have an Atari 800XL on the way with a SD card drive emulator. Turns out it wasn't very expensive, refurbished and cleaned up. Cheers!
No audio, something went screwy when I was recording this. This game is as tough as I remember it being back in the day. Cheers!
Ha, yeah, it stays true to it's name.
This is a great arcade port but the lack of buttons (have to use the spacebar for special weapon and right arrow to jump up to the top levels) makes this super tough. Cheers!
Hey Amo, make sure to include the MAME dip switch settings some where in your MAME videos. It will help avoid NO votes and it keeps things fair. Great scores BTW! Cheers!
Yep, not the most exciting event in this game. I just wanted to post scores for all of the events.. saved the figure skating for last.
3.3 = 33 score. Can't do decimals on the site. The highest possible score is 6.0 or 60 in this event.
3.9 = 39 score. Can't do decimals on the site. The highest possible score is 6.0 or 60 in this event.
Will do. This was one of just a few games I had on cartridge for the Atari 800 back in the day.
Very cool. Your english is good. I'll read up more on Lakka and may install it on my older Sony VAIO laptop. Thanks!
I made it to Blues but my reproduction atari joystick broke.. I could no longer jump and got owned. Still had a decent score... Cheers and RIP sh1ttly made atari joystick
Hey Larq, what are the specs on this PC running Lakka? I'm curious, I have many older comps stored away, mostly 10+ years old that I can probably recycle as retro-gaming boxes. Cheers dude!
That looks like Warlords.. I've never heard of this game though.. added to my list to check out! Yes vote as always!
Very cool. I'll keep my eyes peeled for an original Atari joystick mainly to see how different the new and old sticks differ. I broke so many of those as a kid from just hours and hours of wear and tear that was reluctant to buy a used one... I have an Epyx Fastload cartidge on the way, and will probably just stick with my SD2IEC Drive Emulator for now. I did search around the net for game cartridges, but there weren't many I was interested in and the ones I did want were very pricey.
Thanks Omar. Yep, that's an Atari joystick, not original, but feels (from what I remember, it's been years) like the original stick. http://www.ebay.com/itm/131422237759 if you need one.
First high score on my newly purchased C64. Cheers!
Agreed. I had this back in the day and for some reason I played it it a bunch. I experienced the same frustration playing this now as I did back then. I'm not entirely sure if there is an end to this game or even to the first level.
Score posted in inches, 110" = 9' 2". This is scored in inches on the other platform versions of this game. Cheers!
Nice, I wasn't aware you get points for trick flying when flying under an AT-AT. I'll try again once our scores get voted through
Yep, Gazzhally always comes back with a better score... He's good. I haven't touched SFII yet but played that quite a bit on my SNES and at the arcade back in the 90s. One of these days I'll bust out and play some fighters.
Thanks Omar. How's the Atari XE? Did you grab any more cartridges? I just bought a Commodore 64 and hope to have it up and running in the next few weeks.
It's pretty bad... try playing it again Break Street was the better of the 2 breakin' games by far.
What are you playing these days? I haven't seen a score post from you in ages
Joust is there, but it doesn't show up on that high score screen.
7' 6" = 90"
Will there be an IGBY MAME tourny this year? First time I've heard of it, sounds fun.
Yep, I discovered that years ago.. plus shotgun is auto-fire, no button crunching
The back of the box just says "Refreshments"...
You inspired me to play this before I crashed for the night... It's a tough one. The top 3 or 4 scores for this one are completely insane!
First time playing in quite a long time. I played many hours of this back in the very early days of MAME on my Mac PPC.
Moon Patrol in a Jeep, but much harder.
Other than not being able to fire diagonally, this is a really good arcade port.
I'll have to try Milk Race on the Spectrum. Worth trying?
Yep, very solid game for the C64. Have you heard of "The 64"? https://the64.computer/ ? I ordered one over a year ago but it's still in production and probably won't be released until later this year.
It seems that way. Ten Speed for the Americans and Milk Race for the Europeans. I actually never played either one back in the day... They look the same and play the same, but the # of gear speeds differ and the tracks are a bit tougher in Milk Race.
Yep, a few I'd recommend to hunt down if you aren't going to do that Flash cartidge: River Raid, Miner 2049er, Choplifter, Seafox, Gyruss, Gorf, Pac-Man(s), Oil's Well, Zaxxon... I'm pretty sure these were all released on cartridge and shouldn't be hard to find on ebay. I found this list of games released on cartridge for the Atari 8-Bit: http://gamesmuseum.pixesthesia.com/history/gen4/xegs/a8list.txt
Before Skate or Die, this was the best skating game on the C64
Chec out: http://www.mocagh.org/miscgame/necromancer-manual.pdf I've actually never really sat down and played this one... 1st Yes Vote!
So much better than the UK version. This actually feels a lot more like the arcade version. Huge points at the end there as I dropped off 8 hostages.
I'm not sure what they were thinking with this version. Guns shoot from off-screen and the jeep has to creep slowly forward to see what's up ahead...
Congrats on the Black Belt. I'm not sure of the smart bomb, I actually forgot that existed in this game. I just looked and on the 2600, if you hold the button down and push up, it fires the laser bomb. I couldn't find the Atari 800 manual for this game.
Nice precision play dude. What controller do you use?
No highscore table or initials entry in this version. This is a pretty damn good port of the game. Tougher than I expected. Cheers!
Really good port, but no joystick support. It was all keyboard for this one. Cheers!
No highscore table or initials entry in this version. The Extra life animation is also nonexistent in this version. Cheers!
Once again this is another one I played a bit back in the day. The controls make this game very tough and with zero replay value. Cheers!
I think the the 7800 games are a bit better quality, but it's a much smaller catalog than the Atari 8-Bit. I'm a bit bias when it comes to the Atari 8-Bit as It was my first computer, and would take it over the 7800 any day. I've seen some of the never opened games on Ebay, insane prices!
Cool, I'll remember that, thanks!
Just hit TAB when the game loads up, and navigate to dip switch settings. It's not required, but most of us regulars here have gotten into the habit just to keep things legit. What version of Mame are you using? We've actually found some of the older rom default dip switch settings have change in the newer versions. Great scores BTW, good to see another Shmup fan on here. Cheers dude!
Yep, one of the best on this platform and there's tons of them.
Yes vote from me. Where in the video are you showing your MAME dip switch settings?
Tougher than it looks. My previous high score that I almost settled with was 10 pts less than the current high score here... Finally, after many tries, I hit this. This is now my favorite Mastertronic game... Sorry Ninja Cheers!
Very nice. Grab Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man when you can. Both really good on this system.
Ok cool, what 9 games are you getting?
Very strange game... You have to love the Superman theme song at the title screen instead of the A-Team theme. This is was milliseconds of fun.. Cheers!
Oh cool, nice deal. I am also going to buy one of these https://www.atarimax.com/flashcart/documentation/ . I have an 800, 800xl, 1200xl and I believe a 400 back east in storage at my folks place. I might also have a Sinclair and at least 5 older Macintosh computers (PPC, 68000)... I need to research the connectors as I'm not entirely sure how I would hook these up to my HD to get the best picture. Did you Co-Ax the XE, or do you have some kind of converter box?
Very cool. Was that brand new? Mind asking how much it cost?
Very nice, did you just recently get that XE?
Oh, "The 64" is a Commodore 64 computer soon to be released (see: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-64-computer-and-handheld-console#/), not the N64. I'm not really into collecting old gaming hardware as I don't really have the space @ my current place. Next house I buy, I'm going to make sure I have a nice room or basement devoted to that.
BTW, nice Dudley Dawson avatar Cheers!
I could have had another 3k in score if I was able to get all boats through the secret passage. Great game, even after 30+ years, it's still feels fresh.
The controls and timing in this event are what makes it so tough. It took many, many tries to get this perfect 10.
MAME v.183 and sometimes AppleWin with games that require to flip to the other side of the disk.
Btw, the score "54" is posted as this site doesn't allow decimals. This is how all of these Epyx game scores are set in the site. A perfect 10 would be "100" and is the max score. So, 5.4 = 54. It's the only way to deal with the decimals. thanks.
You play 4 levels and try to beat the dictator's score to win. It makes a better 2 player game, but the 1 player is still fun.
Great version of this event, but I still think the C64 version tops them all. Cheers!
Yep, plays the same.
Top 5 in my list of favorite games on the C64. I remember myself and my friends playing this for hours just to hear the digitized voices when you die. Cheers!
Yes from me! Again, I'll revisit this one once my current vote goes through. Nice to see the end of the Chewbacca AT-ST level.
Yep, I have the 7800. I'll have to check out that version of Galaga sometime. Good luck in your search for the 7800 console!
As you can see from the high score table, I've practiced this one quite a few times
I figured he'd come back with a better score, he always does Obvious yes vote from me. I'll revisit this in a month or so after my current score get's voted through. Cheers Gazz!
Same as I remember this game.. I often stall because of the strange up/down controls to accelerate. Still pretty fun once you get going. Cheers!
I took one hell of a header on my final life at the end
Yep, very close at the end there... Thanks!
Very nice score dude! Yes from me of course.
Nice, I was tempted to try the "Hard" level, but had too much fun playing medium. Looks like it's a race to 1,000,000 from here on in. It's a shame there's no MAME game admin on the site as we could split these out by "Easy", "Medium" and "Hard". Cheers dude, let's see who can finish this one out
I had to switch WinVice to "True Drive Emulation" for this game to load., hence the long load times between menu and game loads. Cheers!
Yep, made by Taito who also did Operation Wolf. The game feels like a hybrid of Operation Wolf and Aliens 3.
I mailed it in after an hour of game play as I believe I could have played for much, much longer. Fun game, but way too easy on this level. Cheers to whomever grinds this one out for many hours of play.
I was thinking that same thing regarding the previous scores... I've played this game so many times and never discovered that. Oh well, I'm sure you're fine then. The local 7-11 in my neighborhood had this game back when it first came out. There was a line going out the door to play it...
Maybe a glitch exploit then? I'm not calling you out, just seems a bit sketchy... I'll wait to vote until others review.
@ https://youtu.be/More_48d84w?t=7m44s ... is that considered point farming? I didn't know this was possible in this game.
Thanks Nads. I need to replay the Skill 1 or Wave 1 start game again as I know I can do much better. This was one of those rounds where I was just focused and lucky a few times to get this score. Cheers!
I was able to make it to wave 11, but the catwalks on the trench run was a bit too much.
The controls in this game make shooting the towers almost impossible... I'm sure it was the same with those original 5200 joypads. Cheers!
Another one I played quite a bit as a kid.. I'm sure I made it to the 3rd gate back then, but couldn't make it now.
It's a fun one.. I'm not entirely sure how to get past that second boss though without having 100% health. Good luck Keilbaca!
For those interested, I've now added all Apple II Summer Games (and Summer Games II) events, Winter Games events and California Games events to the site. Not the best versions of these games, but still fun. Cheers!
Really bad port of this game..
oops... not sure what happened with the multiple image uploads here...
Avoid the Buffalo Stampede for as long as possible before your envitable death... My eyes were bugging out when the game became harder and more buffalo stampeded on screen. If I had to guess, this was written in basic... Cheers!
Close to making it to level 4, but the difficulty jumps fast from level 2 to 3 just like all of the other console and cpu versions. This is one of the best if not the best versions of this game. Cheers!
Beat my score so it pushes me to play this one again I'm sure Dugger will have his revenge in time and best my score if you don't.
Feels and looks identical to the TurboGrafx-16 version. I almost ended with the same score I hit earlier on the T16 version. Top 10 best shmups in my opinion. It's near to impossible to finish level 9 once you lose your powerups. Cheers!
I believe I was one boss kill away from passing the high score, but just couldn't pull it off. Great shooter!
I will in time. The only 2600 game I really wanted to play again was Empire Strikes Back. Bowling is the other one I'll try soon. I'll see if I can beat your Bowling scores
I've played Seawolf quite a few times and also Seafox. This game feels like a Hybrid of those games. That was only the 2nd time I played, very fun!
Oh, this was emulated with MAME v.183, dip switch settings are displayed in the first few seconds of the video.
I had to look this one up as I thought there was an original "Seawolf" cartridge released on the 2600. Nope, but this home brew version is really good. You inspired me to check it out!
Great home brew! Wish we had games of this quality on the 2600 back in the day. Cheers!
No highscore table, score displays at end of game play as above. Cheers, great arcade port!
Another really good arcade port on this system.
For real? Big props as this game is damn tough. We played this all the time as kids and I had one hell of a time breaking 2000pts now
Great arcade port of this game!
Fair enough Boot, I should have read further to see you guys are buddies and live together. Just know that in the time you've spent posting messages here, you could have created 50 YouTube accounts (it takes all of 2 minutes to do so) or maybe, god forbid, even played a few games Banshee is a lucky guy to have such a nice friend as yourself to voice his concerns.
The majority of us, including myself trust Dugger's judgement as he has been an active user on this site for quite a while, he posts legit scores with legit evidence, and like myself, he's here to have fun. When he calls someone out, it's pretty obvious there's an issue or concern.
Yep, it's unfortunate...
Yes from me! Good score man!
No highscore table in this game, screenshot above is my final death. This is one hard shooter. Cheers!
This version is so much better than the Atari port. It feels more like the Atari 800 version. Cheers!
Oh wow, cool. That machine reminds me of Tecmo Bowl, large, multiple screens. I'm not entirely sure if Hyperspace has any affiliation with 1UP. Next time I've over at the Blake street bar I'll ask. How much did you sell the Darius machine years ago? I had a Popeye upright and Arkanoid Cocktail but sold them in the late 90s. I now wish I held onto those, but had no room for them at the time.
Another one I played a bit as a kid. I remember seeing this one everywhere.. 7-11s, Arcades, etc. Cheers!
Damn dude, your killing it! Looks like the NO trolls are back..
Ditto, this guy is an obvious troll. He's been a member on the site since early on but has a low user score, bitches and moans in the forums, just unneccessary drama for someone not very active on this site. Read his message history @ http://highscore.com/profile/messagehistory.php?u=88 ... It's obvious he gets off on starting sh1t. In his most recent forums post, he essentially called us Greedy, Selfish cheaters... Lastly, check out this video on his YouTube Channel.. is he "theDarkBanshee", and why would he have that on his channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CK6n8n0ZKZs Is he "TheDarkBanshee"? Confused...
Really fun shmup! The end boss has more hit points than any other boss I can remember in any game... Cheers!
That 1st place score is close to being sketch. 84% vote... no video.. he did include an input link so I guess that's legit.
Very odd, fun, side scroller where you take a ton of damage no matter what you do. I'm sure there is a pattern to the madness if you play this 200+ times... Cheers!
Nice work Jes!
Nice Omar, I think I might have seen that video or something similar before. They should re-do, or re-release the game and use that guitar version.
Nice one! I'm surprised I was the only one who had posted a score for this game. You need to up your score on the US Contra game now.
Looks like your video is private...
Not really impressive, I only played it twice all though I did play this at the arcade back in the day and on the Atari 800. Either of us could double or triple this score with an hour or 2 of practice.
No doubt practice will help, that's obvious but I thank you for the advice
Ha! Yep, If I'm wearing a hat, it's a Yankees hat. I'm a die-hard baseball nut, Yankees and Rockies being my teams. This game was rough... the score popped up at the end for 5 seconds, just long enough to grab a quick photo.
Played at Hyperspace Arcade in Denver, Colorado. Star Wars upright machine with an Empire Strikes Back marquee.... Cheers!
Played at Hyperspace Arcade in Denver, Colorado. Huge machine, one I don't remember ever playing in the arcade. Cheers!
Played at Hyperspace Arcade in Denver, Colorado. At one time I could cruise through this game and beat it on one credit. Those brain cells are long gone.. it was great to play this again, felt just like 1984 again minus the Pony hightop sneakers.
Played at Hyperspace Arcade in Denver, Colorado.
Played at Hyperspace Arcade in Denver, Colorado.
Played at Hyperspace Arcade in Denver, Colorado. This was the upright version of Spy Hunter. The left trigger buttons weren't working making this very tough to shift and fire at the same time. I didn't have time to show my id card as it quickly displays the score then goes to demo mode. Cheers!
Played at Hyperspace Arcade in Denver, Colorado. I thought I took a picture of the actual Zaxxon cabinet but must have had a brain fart and forgotten.
Played at Hyperspace Arcade in Denver, Colorado. Not even close to Ichigo's Highscore, but fun as hell to play this machine again.
Played at Hyperspace Arcade in Denver, Colorado. Great machine! Next time I'm at this arcade, I'm going to play this one a lot more. Thanks!
Played at Hyperspace Arcade in Denver, Colorado. Forgot how tough this game was... button mashing hell. Thanks!
Played at Hyperspace Arcade in Denver, Colorado. It was good to play a shmup at an actual arcade for once. This machine was solid. Cheers!
Played at Hyperspace Arcade in Denver, Colorado. Great machine, the control dial and buttons all worked like new. I don't actually remember playing this one in the arcade back in the day. Cheers!
Played at Hyperspace Arcade in Denver, Colorado. Decent machine, joysticks needed some maintenance, otherwise it was great to play this one in an arcade. Cheers!
I played this one a bunch as a kid on the Atari 800. Fun platformer, and fun to revisit. Cheers!
Thought I'd throw my pants in the ring and try this out. Highscore is at: https://youtu.be/VgnLMrlx0tk?t=6m39s 6m39s.
Fun game, but too damn easy. My character commited suicide on night 36 as I was bored and saw no end to this game in sight. Cheers!
Default settings are set to start at Night 3. Once again, this is another one I played quite a bit of as a kid. Cheers!
Awesome, post some scores dude. If you find any games not listed that you want to check out send requests. I'll try to add them ASAP.
Pretty basic Galaga clone and harder than it looks. Cheers!
Yes vote of course from me! How in the hell did someone vote NO on this? Almost 3 hours of play and more than enough evidence.
I wonder if Colleen also emulates the 5200 as that system's games are mostly identical to the Atari 8-Bit? Seeing how wonky emulating the 5200 is on the PC and most other platforms, I'm not surprised this isn't supported yet on the Android.
Beginner level is just a tad easier than 'Standerd' level, yep, that's the spelling of Standard in the game. This is a long play. I was able to make it through all levels. Cheers!
MK is one game I haven't touched in quite a long time. One of these days I'll see if I can beat some of your records I played that and NBA Jam a ton in college.
I still enjoyed playing this one. It was a nice change of pace.
Video is private...
No high score table though it asks for your initials. This feels like a mediocre shooter that they just put the Operation Wolf name on. Sad it wasn't more similar to the original or even Thunderbolt. Cheers!
The rocket pack lizard guy needed to advance to board 2 of each level was no where to be seen. I played this a # of times never seeing him... This was the best I could pull off in my wait. Cheers!
This game takes the cake for most original... Note the toilets in the screenshot above
Is this emulated or original hardware? If hardware, include a pic of the machine.
What recording quality do you have set in OBS? I use "Indistiguishable Quality, Large File Size". I also record 60 fps. It looks like you are doing 144p, hence the bad video. In setttings -> video, fudge around with the Output settings and I'm sure you will get this looking better.
Repost due to YouTube's "Shaky Video Fix" that ended up cropping the video oddly.
Wow, 2 no voted without a comment as to why... Are we back to this now cowards?
Well aware, but this one is all yours for now. I'll wait for my score to get voted through before reposting my new high score
Yuck.. one of the low end ports of this game.. None the less, I'm posting my medicore best score. Cheers!
Nice score dude, I figured you would come back and beat my score. I'll be back
Ha, I decided to play it a few more times and got this score. In the process, I deleted what I though was my previous MAME video from Youtube, but it was the Atari 5200 video post from earlier. I had all ready deleted the video evidence so I had to play that version again. Ended up beating my previous score by 10k+. Cheers dude!
I figuered it was the camera.. there's no way you would set the high score with the screen going black like that.
For a sec I thought I beat the high score with my 28,000 score.... Question, why does your screen go black, then display game, then back to black? I'll revisit this again down the road in attempt to beat your score...
I just messaged him. If you want to hold off re-posting your scores and wait to see if we can recover your 101 account, that would be great. This may take a while, he's super busy but we might catch him at a good time.. I'll keep you posted.
On my list
Oh man, couldn't remember the original password? I can contact the admin if you want to hold off from re-posting in hope we can recover your password....
I'm embarassed of the way this ended.. Slammed right into the first wall
Glad I could help Omar, I tried this game a few weeks ago and didn't do very well... Cheers dude, later.
That's great, glad you got it working. Try this for Jungle Hunt https://goo.gl/AzLCb8
Cool, making progress. Keep playing with it, the Atari 8-bit can be a bit tricky. What is the file extension of Jungle Hunt? .atr or .car?
Grabs these.. http://marc-abramowitz.com/download/atari/OSRoms/
You may need to rename them to whateve Colleen is looking for, but these should work for you. Good luck buddy!
I did a quick google search, check out: http://users.uoa.gr/~knakos/atari800/android/
Cool, hope that works out for you. I never did like Fraps, used it back in the early days of that app to record my MOHAA and COD PC game plays and had so many issues... OBS is free, stable, and updated frequently. https://obsproject.com/download
Try OBS to record videos. I never have issues, super easy to use and it streams to Twitch if you need it.
I did horrible in this, but it was my best score for now. Again, no pattern to the aligators, the timing and pixel perfect knife placement to kill them is just too much. When they do release an emulator for the Atari 8-Bit on your Android, you are going to have fun playing all these.
I think I've now played and posted scores for every port of this game.
Fun little Frogger clone set in Medieval times.
Only two boards in this version, the 1st and 4th were the two ported. Another one I played quite a few times as kid. Cheers!
This is the cartidge version of Seafox. For some odd reason the disk version doesn't allow you to fire forward, I've tried everything. Instead it fires 3 quick torpedos upwords when you hold the button down. This is the true version of Seafox, one up torpedo at a time and ability to fire forward by holding the button down. The Apple II and C64 controls match this cartridge version. Another one I played a ton as kid!
Awesome score dude, all I remember of this game was the Saturday morning cartoon show they had based on it.
Just like the Paperboy, time to call it quits.. on this game anyways. Cheers!
The score is really 208.1, but since the site score doesn't allow for decimals, I entered the game in thousands as is done with other Winter and Summer games scores here.
One of the better shooter's on this system. This is game play on Training Level 1. There are 3 Training levels and a "Real War" level. Cheers!
Score was 208.1 in-game, but I wasn't able to add decimals in my submission form. My favorite event in this game!
Not a very good port of this game.. It might be the emulator, but the game doesn't really feel like Hang-On.
This game has no sound... I played the Commodore 64 first stage music in loop while I played as it was boring as hell without it. Cheers!
Yep, this is Sega's version of Final Fight I guess. It's been a while since I've played, but I remember it being fun.
Cool, I'll have to check out Winston, don't remember seeing that one anywhere in my ST emulator search. Steem works great with OBS, Hatari was a hunk of &$%#@!
What ST Emulator are you using? I've been using STEEM latelty.. Hatari was giving me issues when playing full screen. I need to replay this easy level again I guess... you doubled my score :)
Yep, brings out the best game play.. but, I won't be reposting new high scores for this one or Rampage until the current scores get voted through. I've had enough Rampage and Last Resort for a while...
Just reclaiming the belt for this one... and following your lead. You've cracked quite a few my of recent scores... revenge!
Lucky round, a ton of things went my way. Check out http://replay.marpirc.net/r/rampage ... First time I've come across this site, but it looks like quite a few gamers have us both beat. I was curious to see what the actual world record but couldn't find anything. I checked out Twin Galaxies as well http://www.twingalaxies.com/scores.php?platformid=2&keyword=Rampage Looks like reaching 150k or so is doable which blows my mind...
Cool, welcome to the site dude. What app are you using to record your vids?
Don't forget to set your initials on your profile page. Cheers!
Cool, the same happened to me on that rock stage, really tough compared to the other ports.
Nice, I'm a little rampaged out at the time but will try again soon. I've played just about every port of this game in the last few weeks, one of my favorites!
How far did you get? I tried this the other night and almost cleared the 1st level. I didn't want to post a score until I at least made it through it once.
Very nice, cool to see that Mr. Miyagi ending again after so many years! Wax on, Wax off
Congrats DK! Next time I'm back home to visit my family in New York, I'm going to have to hit the Swillburger arcade there to play this again. I've been to a # of arcades over the years and the one I played and set the previous high score on is the only Kangaroo machine I've seen since the 80s. Cheers!
Oops, added my game play video twice some how.. great port of this game!
None of the skills I obtained delivering newspapers as a teen helped in my game play... but I did play this game quite a bit at the arcade and on the Sega Game Gear. Not the worst port, but damn good for this system.
Surprisingly fun port of Rampage. Controls are a bit stiff, but still very playable and fun.
Yep, my "avoid the gators" technique won't score me points... I was hoping to complete the game twice as that would put me up there, but that damn gator level second time around is very tough.
This was the best I could do on quite a few tries. It seems much more challenging than Jungle King.
On hard this game is insane. I some how was able to clear all of the towers and manuever in to destroy the Death Star. Great over-all port, it's now my favorite next to the arcade version. Cheers!
This game tops my list of best ports of the Star Wars arcade game. Very fun, and looks really good!
Not bad, but I enjoy the Amiga version more. This game lacks the in-game sounds the Amiga version has and instead plays a sounds track for each board level. Still fun, Cheers!
I guess I should have played this a bit more. I think I'm using CPCE as my emulator as I too had issues with WinApe and video recording. You are on a roll beating my high scores buddy!
Nice one, and yep, those snakes on the last island were a pain.
One of the better looking ports of this game, and it included all 4 board levels. Unfortunatly the controls are garbage. The last jump to land from the fish on the 4th board is near to impossible. I had to throw in the towel due to frustration... Cheers!
Really tough port of Operation Wolf. Cheers!
Is that the final boss at the end? I beat this back in the day, but can't remember how it ends.
I really could have played this until it flipped, had to die on purpose at the end. Props to whomever grinds this out for 8 hours to hit 999,999
Yes Vote from me! Love that game!
I'll check that out, thanks!
Thanks Omar! Do you have a GBA emulator?
Really fun port of Rampage. Plays well, good sound, etc. The only issue was the 3 player default configuration that is set, by default, to include 2 other human players. I set the other 2 players to in-active. Cheers!
This port is so much better than the Activision one. Plays like the arcade, very fun! Cheers!
This is the original Activision release of Rampage. Garbage controls...
Awesome port! Played on default difficulty 3. Cheers!
Good arcade port but it seems to play a tad faster... Cheers!
I accidentally hit the Start button twice during this as the X button is very close to it on my Xbox 360 pad and the fire directions use the 4 pad buttons. Very tough game, plays/looks identical to the arcade. Cheers!
I just noticed this one is listed as well... Looks like HAL entered the wrong score, but it was still voted through...
The difficulty level goes from zero to a hundred when you hit level 3. As with the other versions of this game on other consoles, the current and traffic gets to be insane. Cheers!
Yep, I'm not very good at this game. I'm sure I'd do better playing the actual arcade game with the light gun.
This one is probably not for you then. I bought it just to try something new. No gripes yet, feels the same as a the Xbox 360 pad, just smaller in size. I did a few google searches to see what others have to say about it, and just like always, these millenials are all complaining and bitching about it, even without ever trying it
Oh, the D-Pad.Yeah, it's good. I like the Xbox 360 D-pad better as it's one round pad as opposed to the old directional. This controller is supposed to mesh the best of the current day pads with the best of the 90's pads.
Yep, I can't remember ever running out time on the NES or Arcade version on the 1st level. It's a weird port, not all that enjoyable and zero replay value.
I'm not sure what you are asking '+'? But it feels like a Xbox 360 pad, lighter, but solid.
Fun little game. This was the first game I played with my new Hyperkin X91 controller.
Dugger, probably a stupid question, but does it matter what team we select to use and go up against? I played this many, many times in the day, it was kind of my gateway to being a hockey fan and learning the game.
Works fine with me, no issues.
LT, are you able to add new Sharp X68000 requests? I can remove this and resubmit it under Beginner if you wish. The four levels are "Beginner", "Senior", "Expert" and "Junior".
I probably won't touch any more Atari 2600 games, Empire Strikes Back was really the only one I wanted to replay. The 5200 is limited when it comes to emulation on the PC. I use MAME to emulate the 5200 and load the games via LaunchBox.
Yeah, this should probably be split out by course type. I played this on all defaults, beginner course.
I used to play the Atari 800 port as a kid. I'm using an Xbox 360 pad, so no issues with the Analog.
This is a pretty damn good port once you get used to the controls.
Horrible port of the arcade. I gave up when I hit 30k... Cheers!
Makes sense... I played this mostly on the Atari 8-Bit where the controls are a bit different. Thansk for the tip!
Fun port, but that minefield level is a $%@#! Cheers!
I emailed and tweeted Serious a week or so ago with no reply. I have time, but am planning on taking a break here shortly. I'm addicted to playing these classics, I need help, ha!
I played a game of Metal Slug, but there isn't a scoring system
Try this one if you get the chance, great little shooter:
Ooops, looks like I added the video and pic twice.. my bad!
Awesome! I'm on emuparadise often, great for grabbing missing roms's from my sets. They tend to have them all.
Awesome port, and my 2nd favorite to the Atari 8-bit version. I made some stupid mistakes this round but still scored fairly well. Cheers!
Hey Omar, how are you doing? Do they have a emulator for this platform on your phone?
Great port, but no joystick support. Cheers!
MAME v.182. I did try AppleWin but it didn't play nicely with LaunchBox. It did work well stand-alone.
Took me a few tries, but I was able to up this score a few thousand. Cheers!
Cool, great score dude! Just when I thought I was pretty good at this game
Played on defaults, no in-game score but can be viewed at the end of the video. Great gun shooter! Cheers!
Voted Yes, but then noticed you didn't display the dip switch settings. Did that part get cut off?
One of my all-time favorite games on the C64. Cheers!
Worst port of this game ever... Cheers!
Great game, I was able to make it to level 3 but the water current and pond traffic is just too much. This is one of the better looking and better playing games on the Atari 8-Bit. Cheers!
err.. Displacer Beast
Lost in the end to the Displace Beast. Very fun brawler! Cheers!
This is in my Top 10 list of best Atari 8-Bit games. This is the full game played from start to finish, Level 1, Normal difficulty.
Another game I logged a lot of time playing as a kid. I still can't get past lap 4, so tough. Cheers!
I'm having flashbacks now of playing this back in the day. The ear piercing sound made by the Snake or Bat, and the horrible horizontal shooting make this game super annoying. I was able to make it to the 3rd board even through the audio and control torture. Cheers!
Oh, sorry, I meant that the Metal Slug games on this console don't have a scoring system, even though in-game, when you pick up certain items it awards you points visibily. I emailed Serious a few times last week offering to volunteer as a category admin. I'm on this site so much, might as well give back and help out. Cheers!
Ha, yeah, I just wish they had added scoring the Metal Slug series of games on this platforms.
Nope, I wasn't aware of that. I'm not a huge fan of scrolling ports of Pac-Man, it just feels wrong. Thanks!
No in-game score display. Scores appears on title screen. Pretty fun port of Ms. Pac-Man.
I screwed up and pressed the wrong button while entering my initials This is a pretty good port of Paperboy. Cheers!
Sadly, this is a better version than most console releases, but still a very poor game.
Yes from me! Bald Bull again comes in to kill the score I just posted.. arggh, oh well.
Played on all defaults. I forgot how primitive this version was, but awesome for the time. I logged the most hours on my PS1 playing this and the other THPS versions back in the day. My goal, other than score points was to pull off a McTwist. Cheers!
Nice video, and cool game. First Yes vote!
Played on default, Normal difficulty level. One of the best shooters on the PS1 in my opinion. Cheers!
The highscore on this is held by Kernzy (http://highscore.com/scores/Commodore64Emulated/WinterGames/51285)... Notice that he entered a fake score of 00:00:1337 or LEET... Not sure if we can request to kill voted through scores, but this would be one to consider if possible.
This is such a horrible port. I used to play this as a kid on my 800 and recently tried again. After about 2 minutes I had to quit.. All power to you for sticking it out to get this score.
Fun button mashing shooter. Cheers!
I scored 210.6 but this game doesn't like scores as decimals. Settled for 210.
I looked like Eddie the Eagle in that first jump
I played this many, many, many times as kid. Cheers!
That was on .179 I believe. You are about 1/2 a decade behind in version's. I did a couple google searches for the official mame dip switch settings but the mamedb.com site appears to be gone or down. I did double check, I'm now on version .182 now and the default difficulty is 'normal'.
Cool, didn't know that, thanks.
Played with game defaults, Original Game 1, Level 5. Compared to Strikers 1945 II, there isn't much difference. Cheers!
Played on all defaults, Original 1 game mode, game level 5. Great port of the arcade version.
I actually enjoyed the Colecovision version. Those damn rhinos are erratic have no pattern as the arcade version does... Try the 1985 C64 version, that was by far the best and closest port to the arcade.
Congo Bongo in 2D Only 2 boards/levels in this one... I was able to make it round 5, but those damn island snakes took me out in the end. Cheers!
Cool, I played this one a few times last night and love it. I'm not ready to post my "easy" level score just yet, but was confused as to where to post it Great game, the score attack mode is super tough.
Horrible port. I now remember how bad the controls are on this one. Jumping in directions is a chore for some reason. I'm pretty sure this one is only 2 levels but I didn't have the patience to find out. Cheers!
Tough game, you have to be pixel perfect on most of the risky jumps. This version is limited to only 2 levles I see why they released a second version a few years later.. Cheers!
Derek, is this one Easy or Normal game mode? There's a "Easy" game score listing @ http://highscore.com/games/Playstation1Emulated/HarmfullParkEasy/34080
The NO votes are probably just trolls. Don't take them personally, we have all been hit with many NO votes, they come and go in waves. A watermark helps, some users have their Highscore.com profile web page in the background in the video. I'm actually still fairly new to the site, but I find a video, a screen shot of the "Game Over" screen with the high score and/or screenshot of the high score table are fine. Take a look at some of the Vets here like Frankie, Bald Bull, etc and you'll see what I mean. Cheers and welcome dude.
Try the Bonus game mode. The bosses are animals, it's impossible to dodge their shots.
It's a really good one for sure. I may have rented this one back in the day, but mostly played sports games when I had my PS1.
Great port, 2nd level is different than the arcade. It looks like they re-ordered the levels a bit. Cheers!
Yes vote from me. Nice score dude, cool to see the progress of this game. Supposedly there's 4 different endings to this game, 2 single player endings and 2 two players endings based on if you beat it on one credit or conitnued.
Oh, and 1st yes vote.
Sweet, I get to play this one again as well
I forgot how much fun this game is...Cheers!
No time for love Dr. Jones
Nice score buddy! Yes from me.
and you just gained a twitch follower in me. Awesome score!
Worst port ever of this game. Everything about this game is really bad. Cheers!
Looks like if Q-Bert and Pinocchio mated...
Very nice, my vote Yes vote was the first vote. Cheers!
Nice technique BB!
Thanks fellas! I'd like to thank the 2 cups of Dunkin Donuts coffee for helping me obtain this score It also helped that I played quite a few rounds of this over the years and many in the last few days. It's just a matter of time until Bald Bull blows this score out of the water, but I'm happy with it for now.
This is cliche, but 1st vote Yes from me!
Great score dude, Yes from me!
I've played the 2600 version before, just not in a long, long time. I'll add it to my list, cheers!
I probably logged more hours playing this game than I did most games. Funny thing is, I still get stuck at the same point.. Second playthrough, stretch "Q" is a $#@%! Cheers!
Ha, funny you suggest that. I've played quite a few rounds of Toilet Kids, just waiting to hit a respectable score to submit here.
This is the most hilarious shooter ever. The bosses are a trip. Cheers!
You have to delete the score. There's a button to this on this page.
Cool, thanks for the heads up. Looks like they go for 3 or 4 hundred on Ebay...
Another one I remember playing a ton of as a kid. Playing this makes me wish I had a trackball. Cheers!
Do you play this on a HDTV or older tube? I'm loving this console so much, I might just have to buy one.
I forgot how tough this port is. Ghosts are brutal, Pinky specifically...
I had one of those and also a "Posted in wrong Category" NO vote...
It appears so... this isn't even a #1 score.. oh well.
I really think video is necessary for all "Emulated" high scores (high score, or lowest score) and kind of wish this site made that required. It's 2017, no excuses why any of us wouldn't be able to record the game play. This is just my opinion as I spend a ton of time recording my game plays to insure I have legit evidence to display here.
Don't get me wrong, I will still vote YES for 99.9% of the photo/pic only submissions, I just wish video was required for emulated games. It's fun to see actual game play and to confirm dip switches, etc.
BTW, I love how you document your highscores. Cheers!
Probably down the road some time... I have way too many games to check out here.
Very nice score, and video too!! You should continue to include video for all your scores, looks good! This should keep the NO voters at bay.
Took me many tries to reach this score. No score displayed in-game, only between stages and at the end. No high score table as well.
Fun one... I screwed up my initials at the end there. There is no rub/backspace on this one. I don't expect this one to hold for long as I know there are many video pinballers that would destroy this score.
PCEjin is what I play the Turbografx-16 CD games on. I remember it being a challenge to get running...
Yes from me.. Weird, why would someone vote NO on this?
I've hit many highscores only to realize I didn't show my dip switches... I feel your pain. Great round! It get's insane on level 4 there.. so many enemies, nades, knives, hostages to avoid.
Voted Yes, but how come you didn't show your dip switch settings? I believe this game has quite a few of them including difficulty.
Soooo close to breaking the high for this one. Great shmup!
Yes from me! Sure you did this on 3 lives?
Very frustrating.. When you are having a good race and then all hell breaks loose, collision with another rider, bad landing, and the round is shot.
Yep, I experienced the same thing. It might be the game, or even this system. Try the Atari 2600 version!
Figured you'd return and destroy the score I posted yesterday! Cheers, you are truly the shmup master.
Had my best round and didn't even know it.. I quit recording just after I died thinking I had maybe scored 5 million when I really got this score. So, I missed recording myself entering my initials at the end. Cheers, great vertical shooter, maybe one of the best.
Interesting game, just added it to my list of games to check out. Thanks and Yes vote as always.
I wish they would re-do that GT handheld with today's technology, same shape and feel, but one that doesn't eat batteries so fast. A friend of mine had one of these and it would eat through batteries like a hog. So much for mobile, you had to have an AC adapter. Only $300ish on Ebay for orignal
So close there at the end... Yes from me, and expect a score from me in the near future. You got the dip switch settings correct BTW. I wonder why your MAME emulator dip switch defaults are different...
Sooo close to the high score....
Yep, I considered them different systems as well, but this site decided at one time to just combine them. I so wish I had the TurboGrafx16 back in the day.. the shooters on this system are top notch for the time and still play really well.
Yep, this was the PC Engine CD. Thanks for the Yes!
Yes from me. Thanks, now I get to play this awesome game again! Cheers!
This score will be easy to beat.. I could only play this a few times, super frustrating, same as I remember it from back in the day. Cheers!
Nice, you broke the lowly highscore I posted from my last visit to 1UP in Denver. Cheers!
No Atari 800 emulator for your Android? Bummer. Do you have a PC?
Nice! The congratulations animation was hilarious.
I logged many, many hours as a kid playing this one. Cheers!
Cool, looking forward to seeing that video game play.
Cool, I wonder if the dip switch defaults Mame4Droid are different than the PC and other windows ports of Mame. All this time you might have been playing games on harder or even easier settings.
I would have never known of this one on the 5200 if it wasn't added to this site all ready. Looks like a port, with a title screen hack. Nothing in the game is different from the original.
Crazy.. as I've said before, this site should force NO voters to include a explanation why the No vote and that should be posted as a comment of that scores thread including the user's name. BTW, is the admin done developing this site? I've been a developer now for 20 years and I'm so tempting to build a site similar to this, but do it right. Proper user validation (right now there is zero validation when someone signs up), just major improvements across the board to make this more enjoyable and fun.
Yep, those are the Mame defaults. What version of MAME are you running?
I think it may be possible to jump over both pirates in the time span before that pirate up top throws his sword...
Should have watched my video! Nice score dude.
Good luck, that ending seems very tough..
Taito actually did this one.. just reskinned Jungle Hunt with the a pirate theme. From what I read at http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=9027 , this plays the same as Jungle Hunt/Jungle King.. I don't think it does.. felt a bit off, but that might just be me
What version of MAME are you using? My default dip switches are different.. Easiest, no Bonus life. I'm using .181. I double checked and the default dip switch settings on mine are correct, see http://www.gamesdatabase.org/mame-rom/piratpet - scroll to the bottom for defaults.
So close to that high score, but this was the best I could pull off for now.
I knew this one wouldn't last... Congrats!
YES vote, but why didn't you enter your initials for your score at the end?
Nice score, Yes from me even though you didn't display your dip switch settings. I'm going to have to try to beat this score soon. Curious, what version of Mame do you use that displays the full bezel art this game? Cheers!
Thanks. I was just comparing my scores posted last night to the others posted during the same time period. No worries, If it is a regular who constantly NO votes my scores, I just wish they'd man up and post a comment as to why they didn't vote yes.
Looks like tonight I'm the one getting the NO votes.. This site has become tiresome.
For all you Shmup fans, this one is really good. Smooth game play with no button mashing. That third stage is very tough... I have yet to make it to the boss of that stage. Cheers!
The secret was that the Colecovision was the first console to have a computer processor. Check out this article - https://www.lifewire.com/history-of-colecovision-729731 .. good read on the history of that box. Cheers!
Thanks! Did you have a Colecovision back in the day? A neighbor of mine had one but we tended to play C64 and 2600 games over it.. those controllers were so hard to get used to.
Nice, I played this maybe 10 times the other day and this was my best. I'm still avoiding the crocs
This is the US GOLD version of Congo Bongo released in 1985. The 1983 version looks more like the Atari 8-Bit version. I cleared the game once but couldn't do it again even though I made it to the last board of the 2nd level. Of all the ports, I think this one resembles the arcade version most. Cheers!
Yes from me, congrats! I'll have to revisit this one again and see if I can regain that trophy! Cheers!
Yes from me. But next time, we are going to need a full DNA sample and a photo copy of your drivers's license for verification jk
My setup makes recording fairly simple. I've bound quick keys to start and stop recording in OBS. It's almost second nature to me now, almost a reflex when I start a new games. Having multiple monitors helps as well... I have 3, but 2 would definitely do.
Agreed on this being the best port. The Atari VCS version is just disgusting.. The only one I'm very familar with is the Atari 800 version. Also pretty bad, but I'll try to set a high score in that once it's been added to the site. I'll expect his score to be destroyed by you very soon
I just looked and all you have were screenshots... oh well, it would have been cool to see how you made it that far.
I'm sure you can play it again and beat my score. As for the 1000 a hole, yep, but I couldn't for the eff of me figure out the pattern of the Rhinos and had no choice but to jump in those holes to avoid them. I'll have to watch your video to see how you were able to get passed them as well as how you managed to jump on the red fish in the 2nd to last level. I'm like 0 for 20 in my attempts. Cheers MB.
Makes sense, there are so many front ends these days anyways. Thanks for sharing, good stuff!
I've now re-played a few of the Congo Bongo ports, and this one feels closest to the original. The rhinos on the second level are ruthless and random.. still can't figure out if there is a pattern to their madness. Cheers!
I guess it really doesn't matter as our scores will get voted in over time. The more we bitch about this d-bag NO voter, the more he/she is getting off on it.
I got a NO vote on my Congo Bongo score as well.. Says I'm using saves states, trainers, etc.. Total BS. It took me quite a few plays to reach that score and I'd never cheat, period. I've played this game hundreds and hundreds of times over the years, all skill and patience. I noticed Omar's current scores have 100% Yes votes.. Maybe this NO voter dislikes myself and Jes posting scores?
I've seen this same issue with some Amiga, C65 and Atari ST games... The font they use makes 3's look like 5' and even 0's look like 8's. Nice score and nice system. Did you just pick that up?
Why the emulator score? Though you were playing this on an actula system?
Very nice! Yes from me of course.
Dip switch settings at end of video.. brain fart with me not showing those in the beginning as normal..
Completed twice but couldnt get past the 1st level of the third round... I can't imagine clearing this three times... Cheers!
Cool, first time seeing that Rotaxmame. Any chance they have that app translated to english? I'd love to check it out. Cheers!
Cool, I tried that emulator but ended up going with the RetroArch Medafen core because it plays nice with Launchbox. For the CD games, I've been using Pcejin but can use RetroArch as well.
How about hardware wise? Are you PC, Pie, Mac? Cheers!
Yep, I had this one on my SNES.. horrid port compared to the others.
Another high score, nice! What kind of setup do you have going to emulate and play these?
Nice score Omar!
Yes from me! Love the competition on this one. I was honestly really surprised when I first saw this one had such a low HS a few months ago. I'm going to try again this weekend or sometime soon with hopes of reaching 15k.
As for the MAME NO votes, yep, it's getting tiresome... It's either a troll, or one of the regulars are anti arcade emulation.. maybe a jealous toddler?
Very nice! Yep, I need more practice vs. those Crocs for sure. I tend to avoid them unless necessary. I'll be back!
Very cool game. I tried out Daisenpu Custom on the TurboGrafx CD and will be posting my score soon. Almost indentical, just different sound track.
Tough one huh? So unforgiving once you go up against the bosses and mini-boss tanks.
You are going to make me play this one again? Good score dude!
Ha! This is the hottest game on the site... I think I need to replay it again to see if I can surpass some of the big scores. Yes vote of course, Cheers!
Cool, I'll have to try this one sometime.. I see Granny now
Weird game.. at 11:10, how does your health go from 2 or 3 bars to full? Hard to see in the video...
This is one of those rare games that doesn't display your score until the game is over. Very tough shooter. Cheers!
Congrats dude, you are now the Amiga Ikari Warriors champ
One of my fave's on the Atari 8-Bit. Looks simple, but is actually damn tough. Cheers!
Really bad port of this game.. Those purple and teal graphics are so bad.. sound is equally as sh1tty
Thanks, I still want to save the lady twice on one credit. Making it past that 2nd boulder round is tough.. need more practice. Cheers!
I just played this and got you by 200 pts
Nice one Larq! Sucks you don't have video though... how far did you get? Were you able to save the lady twice?
Doh! You are correct.. My bad, moving.
Still, your Galaga skills are 2x or 3x mine.. I've played that game probably over a thousand times and the highest score I've ever reached is a tad of 400k. Thanks, I've had way too much free time, and I love it :P
Just messing with you dude, I saw quite a few high scores come through with your last few batches. You'll destroy me at Galaga... I concede.
I bet, almost 2 hours playing the same game.. my eyes would go buggy. Have you seen the Nibbler documentary? If not, check it out, it's called "Man vs. Snake"...
Yep, it's tough, and keeps getting tougher. Of any of these games your posting scores for, is there a few you are going to play and excel at?
Nice, I rolled the score over as a kid on this game, first game I remember ever doing so. Congrats on the High Score dude!
Good job Little Buddy!
Oh my god... I played this a ton as a kid, completely forgot it's existence, thanks!
Nice score dude, this game is tough.. total button masher.
Nice score dude!
I see, nope, not with this one. With ROTJ, it continues to the next level and is a completely different game, ie: the AT-ATs and difficulty. I've been playing all of these games until it says "Game Over" and I no longer have any lives left.
Cool, I'd love to see what this game looks like as you get further. Those controls are just to sh1tty for me.. I probably will never touch this one again
How far did you get?
Nope, that's part of the game. When you get to certain check points it switches to space fight, then back to AT-AT, I think it does it 2 or 3 times on that level. I think they were trying to make it seem like the movie, switching back and forth from Endor to the space battle. I don't edit any of my videos BTW.
I'm not sure what you mean when you say score should be when you complete it..
Surprising great port of Contra on the MSX. Other than the non-scrolling levels, it's a fun. I died against the last boss or one of the last bosses.. argghhh!
Yuck, the controls on this one...
I double checked on the dip switch settings as I thought this version being set to 'Easy' must have been a mistake. The default is indeed 'Easy' as are all other settings displayed in my vid. I'm super out of practice when it comes to my Contra game play. Cheers!
Wish this game played a bit faster.. not the best port but playable. Cheers!
So much for that.. awesome score, and I'm not just saying that. This shmup is damn tough. Those tanks pissed me off many, many times.
Ha, it does. I need to play this one again as I thought the dragon's blew up or keeled over...
You inspired me to check this out.. holy crap, that game is so fast and tough, so much going on. I was honestly surprised I got that far on only a few plays.
Nice, this one is super frustrating... it's all yours
It's Zippier. There is no ship collision except for the shuttles, hence why the ship just flew right past me at 0:35. Controls are better. Cheers, thanks!
I think I remember reading somewhere that this game was in development as some other named game when Hasbro found it, and licensed it as a GI Joe game. Any case, it's much better than the commercial.. creepy:
Woah, I've never seen this game before. Added to my list of games to check out, thanks!
Oh my god, where do I start with this game. I now remember the disappointment playing this one on my 800, after playing the C64 version many times before. If I didn't request this one, I wouldn't have spent the time playing it and making it past the first check point. Give this a try if you want to raise your blood pressure and swear like a sailor. Cheers!
One of the most difficult games ever.. and playing this one on an emulator does it no justice. Sitting in the cock pit of the arcade machine is really the only way to play this. Cheers!
Poor man's Commando. Mastertronic always made such cheap, one dimensional games.
Matt, I posted a introduction in the forums a while back. I'm assuming your name is Omar? Cheers man, and thanks, but there are much better gamers here. I've just been playing these games for decades, and have a pretty huge selection of games to play.
First time playing a Sharp X68000 emulator. This game looks almost identical to the arcade and just as frustrating.
Good to know it's not just me with this issue Are you going to post a high score for this one?
Ooofff.. this game is brutally sketchy. Atari 2600 version is so much better than this.. Cheers!
Really fun one, great port!
Yep, I have an Advantage for my NES, great stick. Turbo is almost neccesary to beat some of the NES games, I remember Pro Wrestling was one that was impossible to beat without turbo. As for setting highscores, this site really needs to put something in the rules that says NO TURBO as that is essentially a cheat to me. If you aren't that good at these games, and need an edge, just practice. If that doesn't work, take up knitting or something
This is Toybox 2006 release of Operation Wolf. Pretty damn good for this console and much better than the disappointing release of the original game. Cheers!
Do you use a turbo button on your phone setup or consoles?
Wow, wasn't expecting such a horrid and difficult port of this game on the Amiga. The C64 version is so much better, even the NES version is more enjoyable. Cheers!
I think it should be in the rules, I'm surprised it isn't.
I noticed you don't have your initials set on your profile. Make sure to set that to "FFF". Nice score.. I doubt I could break 20
Tough one, I was never very good at this game... Cheers!
Wicked shmup! It took me quite a few plays to break this high score. This was the luckiest round I had, especially at the end there. Cheers!
Not bad, but the Atari 8-Bit version of this game is much better. Cheers!
Back in the day this game was so far ahead of all the others. So much going on, mini games, etc. Top 10 best game on the Atari for sure. Cheers! This is by far, maybe by 30k, my best score. It was just one of those rounds.
One of, if not the first game I ever played on the Atari 800. Classicly simple
This game is a serious button mashing hand cramper.. fun though!
Game difficulty level defaults to Easy. PC game, not emulated. Cheers!
PC game, not emulated. Game defaults to easy level. Cheers!
Congrats, nice score! And nice cabinet!
Another game I was blown away with as a kid when I first saw it in an arcade. Cheers!
Use this one if you are using MAME to emulate.
Frankie, did we post our scores for this game under the wrong game or is there duplicate game entries? See http://highscore.com/game/?g=23722&enterscore=1 ... We both played the [CORE] version... I fired off a few google searches for this rom, and can only find a "CORE" version... Cheers!
BTW, you inspired me to try this platformer when you posted your score. Really fun little game!
This game, I'm only 2,000 pts away from the highscore. Yep, I've had a ton of free time these last 2 months or so to play these classics and try for my highest score. Cheers!
Gracias! I am so close to the Highscore...
Score doesn't display until game has ended. Best port of Operation Wolf to any console. It plays really, really well using a controller. Cheers!
It's all good man, and again I'm not calling you out at all. I'll play this and post my score at some point, hopefully I'll learn from your vid as to how to complete this on one play. Cheers!
Sure, videos aren't required for proof on this site... see some of the other users such as JES or Frankie as they post photos mostly.
Nope, it's actually this version of Commando. The other two versions I grabbed and played didn't allow bullets to go right through you, detection was correct. It is this version of Commando. I wasn't saying you didn't have the trainers disabled, or saying you were cheating or anything like that. But those bullets traveled right through you in the video. Try playing this on a different version of Commando for the Amiga and you will see.
Also, @ https://youtu.be/qODz6jQtjtg?t=6m11s another bullet goes right through you. I'm only posting this because this rom version is wonky.
I tried this version of Commando last night... I disabled all trainers so the game played stock, but for whatever reason those didn't take. I found a different cracked version of this game and disabling of all trainers worked. I could only make it past the first checkpoint. I'm not calling you out dude, but @ https://youtu.be/qODz6jQtjtg?t=6m16s you should have died, the bullet went right through you. Are you sure you had these trainer settings disabled? ie: Hit detection?
I'm not sure as I have zero knowledge of the raspberry pi 2 and it's limits. Give it a try...
Yep, 140,400. Might as just repost this dude, fix the score and remove the Ikari Warriors screenshot. This will still get voted through fairly quickly I bet.
First time I've seen the Amiga version of Commando. Looks like it plays better, and looks better than the arcade. Excellent score!
Unmodified stock table. One of you guys who is better at video pinball and with more patience might like this one. It's really tough to track the ball as it doesn't stay visible all the time.
Pretty damn good port of Operation Wolf for the C64. Mouse and Joystick support. Cheers!
Very nice, cool to see the end of that one.
Major grenade attack by the enemy at the end... So much tougher than Operation Wolf.
I could have used a tad of the force playing this one.. tough game.
Settings at end of game play. Tough brawler.
Nice scores dude, you are setting high's for quite a few games. Can't wait to see your "Zookeeper" score when you get to the Z's
Thanks, I didn't realize I had 2 game plays with this one..
Highscore run begins at: https://youtu.be/NnM-olgpI6Q?t=6m49s

Awesome game. That 3rd boss is tough even on easy. Cheers!
I remember the first time I played this back in 1994.. blew my mind.. I forgot that Admiral Ackbar has a New Jersey accent in this game
Posted an extra screen shot by accident. Highscore/Game over screen is the latter. Cheers!
I'm using the latest version of "nullDC". I've tried a few others, demul and Chankast, but nullDC wires up nicely with my LaunchBox frontend and plays just about every Dreamcast game from what I've tried.
Nice score! First Yes!
Japanese Contra... Took quite a few plays just to get past the first level.. Not a bad attempt, but not even close to NES Contra.
Are you talking about 'ichigokurosaki' and getting busted for cheating? I saw that thread a while back and was surprised they didn't ban him from the site. I have zero tolerance for cheating.. once a cheater, always a cheater. Sucks that anyone would be that desperate for a highscore.
Any and all videos of my game plays posted here or anywhere are 100% legit. Cheers!
No turbo. I would never use any turbo hack for any of these highscores. I'm not even sure how to go about that.
Actual score is "34,316,973,004,880,870", 2 pts higher than posted score. Bug on the site when dealing with submitted scores of this size I believe. Cheers!
Score should be: 29,747,155,484,926,410 . When I submit this as a new score, it's converting the 410 to 408. I'll take the hit on 2 pts This may be the highest score of any game on this site.. Cheers!
Does this win when it comes to highest score of any game on the site? Cheers!
Played on Skill Level One. This is one of the better games of that time in gaming. Cheers!
On the R's now? Good score!
If I had a nickel for everytime a woman has said that, I'd probably have a nickel...
Horrible game.. I played this more times than I wanted thinkng there was something I was missing in the game play. Nope, you would need to move 1 pixel at a time to actually play this at a normal speed. None the less, I thought I'd post my high score for this game. Cheers!
Once again, another one I will revisit down the road, very fun and harder than it looks. Cheers!
Yep, if it didn't have that repetitive soundtrack, this game would be a true gem
Nice setup! Makes me wish I didn't sell all of my consoles in the early 2000's :( All I have left now is a NES and a "The 64" on it's way when it's ready to ship.
Nice score Bro! Yes from me!
Nice score BB! This is game is on my list to play, soon, but I doubt I'll beat out your score.
Made it to level 26... Fun game, pretty simple, cheers!
This port scrolls at like 3x the arcade speed. You don't have time to even see how many enemies are left to kill, ammo count, etc.. Still fun though.
I went Kamikaze at the end, got bored, very repetive
Interesting, it does but that is Test Mode. Either way, It's all default settings, you can trust me on that.
You're not missing much This isn't the best port of this game, but since no one had set a highscore yet, I thought I'd submit my subpar performance.
It's there, must have still been processing. Cheers, thanks!
I've now played this game 40+ times and this is the best I can do. So tough, even on easy level.
I loved this game when I had it on my SNES back in the day. Great brawler.
No worries, I won't lose sleep over not having the highscore for any of the game scores I post here. If I had to guess, that highscorer used saved states or is the original developer of the game. Oh well..
Almost took out the final boss Very fun game!
Looks like his score was from the early days of this site. I'm newer, but I'll assume evidence then was a bit more laxxed than now? Cheers!
This game had no dip-switch settings, hence I didn't tab to display. Great shooter!
Yep, not a very enjoyable game to be honest. I only played it because someone had posted their high score and I had to see what the game was all about.
Still as fun as it was back in the early 80s. If you've never played this one, it's really fun. Cheers!
I may be wrong on this, but the first place score is a bit suspect... no video, no real evidence other than the Game Over screen. This is a really tough game... Any case, it was fun to play again all though I feel like I could have done better. Cheers!
Yep, I remember those crappy stock controllers on the Master System. Movement always felt really bad on this system.
This version of SOR felt way too easy.. get's tougher at the end, but overall, on normal setting it's pretty repetitive. I clicked continue at the very end, but no score was added. Cheers and Happy Holidays!
Pretty stiff controls with this one. I wish it played faster like Commando or Ikari Warriors. Cheers!
Thanks, but Dugger is the master. This game has always drove me nuts, just thought I'd throw my hat in the ring with this score.
Maybe down the road sometime. I only busted out with the handhelds because I was traveling in late November and had some time to kill. It was fun re-playing those old handhelds, but just not as fun as playing the classic arcade and console games.
Nice score, you got me!
Great score, you weren't joking about beating my pending score! Cheers!
This game takes the cake when it comes to pissing me off, yet I can't stop playing. I tripled this score practicing with no video recording the other day, but can't for the hell of me do it again.. arggh!
As will I.. So many games to play, this one was really fun,
It's all set, you caught my upload to youtube by like 1 millesecond. Thanks for the heads up though.
Interesting, I would have guessed it was a bootleg or hack of the original. Thanks!
Matt Patrol? Could not get the license for "Moon Patrol"?
Another one I need to revisit. I haven't touched this game since the late 80s. At one time, this was by far the best 2600 game around. Nice score, I hope to beat it
Yep, but I screwed up on the boulder stage ducking for some reason instead of jumping... Such a simple fun game, thanks for the inspiration to play it again
No Modelos? That's my mexican beer of choice
I have and from what I remember I didn't come close to any of the score posted... I'll give it another try in the near future though, I just need practice.
No worries. I should be able to beat this high score when I find time to play it. We had this machine in the local grocery store back in the day, another one I played the crap out of when I was given quarters to play.
Come on, you can beat this score! Quality over quantity dude!
My hands cramped up a bit at the end.. A younger ISB would kill this score Cheers!
Voted Yes! Oric-1? I'll need to check that one out as I've never heard of that machine.
Fun game, I just made it to area 98 after only playing a few times. No way will I beat the current high score, but will be up there when I post my score. Cheers!
Hey Jess, good score. Are you playing these on your arcade machine or another pc? Screen looks smaller.
Thanks DTG, this game is indeed tough, but really fun. I don't see my high score holding long though, I know there are players on this site who with a bit of practice could destroy this score. Cheers!
Yes from me, and yep, those 7800 controllers were horrid. Not sure what Atari was thinking with those later system and controller designs.. zero innovation.
Heavy Barrell Action at 8:48 - https://youtu.be/7uOKxPr-_zI?t=8m48s
Still as fun as the first time I played this back in the day at the 7-11 down the street. Cheers!
Best version of this game by far and it really got me in the holiday mood :P Cheers!
Level Target 5 start. With a ton of practice I'm sure I can kill this score, but the game plays a bit wonky, better than the C64 version, not the Atari 8-bit version though. Cheers, and Happy Holidays
Classic, we played the hell out of this at a friends house until I pulled the cartridge out of the machine while it was still on. I remember the cartridge never working again
Thanks, I played this one years ago when it was first playable with Mame. Very fun to play again!
Took a bit of practice, thanks!
If I hadn't have lost 2 of my power bars in the early stages, I believe I could have gotten much further than I did with a better score. This is another one I'll revisit in the future, fun scroller! Cheers!
Another classic that I used to play as a kid. I thought I'd break out with a little Christmas spirit and play this one again. Emulation was a bit choppy for this one when played in the latest version of WinVice, but still playable. The Atari 800 version is better, just waiting for my request to go through. Cheers!
I tried, the video quality is horrid. Like I said, I'll do more research next time I have time to play. Cheers!
Cool, I haven't touched this one in years. I'll have to give in another try here in the near future.
Just put this one on my list to play.. Nice score!
Wow, finished this on one credit. Bowing to your greatness
Very nice score!
Yeah, I need practice, I'll play this again down the road at some time, it's a fun game.
Yep, there's Heaven and Hell. I stayed away from those in my highscore run as I never have good luck. Hell is tough!
Yep, pretty easy to be honest once you get used to the patterns. I owned this one back in the day but barely ever played it since I had better games. It was fun to re-visit.
Yep, not as good as your score for sure..
Give it a try, it's like riding a bike.
I love the Gold-Circle price tage on that Space Invaders box. Brings back memories of rushing to the toy and video game aisles back as a kid. Yes vote from me!
Very tough little Shmup by Sega. I hit 75k but the video recording was corrupt I tried multiple plays after and this is the best...
Ha! Someone just gave me this game cartridge back in the day because it was so bad. I remember getting $3 for it or maybe $5 at a used game shop in the early 90s. Nice score!
Yes from Me! Awesome score!
Gabby Jay, Yay!
On my list of favorite games, Super Punch-Out on the SNES is in my top 10. I played the crap out of this in the 90s and remember being able to beat the entire game without losing a round.
One of the best Horizontal arcade shooters! I know I scored higher when I played this year and years back, time to re-learn.
This game is Cabal meets Treasure Island with automatic weapons, an annoying witch lady who squeals like lamb. It's pretty fun This one had no dip switch settings btw.
Totally forgot about this one... I'm going to have to try to beat your score in this soon
Yep, what Derek said. I noticed the same trend with NO votes on the scores I've posted for Arcade scores. I think we might have a Arcade Purist Troll with nothing better to do with their time but to vote No
One of the tougher Arcade Shmups of that time. Damn tanks and their fast firing shells will drive you nuts. I played a # of times, this one takes quite a bit of practice.
Since this is a Capcom game and Capcom released it on the DC, I have a feeling they just emulated the arcade version. Either way, it plays a lot like the arcade, there really wasn't much difference overall.
haha, when you are done playing you can cook up a damn quesadilla
This one is on my list to play again down the road and improve my score. I'm not even sure if this was an "Arcade" game or Dreamcast original. I don't see a Giga Wing 2 emulated in MAME, so I'll assume the latter.
Emulated with nullDC. This plays very much like the Arcade version so I'm assuming it's emulated on the DC and not a port.
That PS1 looks like it could double as a waffle maker
One of the best arcade shmups ever. I'll revisit this one in the future for sure.
Nice, you just about doubled my pending score!
Hey Jes, you should get OBS Studio and record your games. Have you tried?
Pretty solid port of the arcade game, but super touchy when gernading.
Thanks, this score is beatable, it's all about getting lucky with the special invincible power-up at the right time. I wish the bosses in this game were a little bit tougher as they are pretty easy to beat.
Fun little game. Still practicing the Arcade version
Where does it say no warps? I understand no cheating period, but the default dip switches allow for warps.... just curious.
Cool, I checked this out last night briefly. I now remember playing it a few times years ago with Mame. BTW, what's the specs of your arcade machine? Just curious.. I'm a complete noob when it comes to newer machines.
Wow, never seen this game before. I'll have to give it a try next time I binge game.
Very nice score! The worldwide trophy was fun while it lasted
Of all the scores I've posted, this one I'm most proud of. Cleared Area 4 Armedport but didn't make it far in Zap town. Bettered my previous highscore by 20k+. Thanks for the vote!
No way do I have enough practice to finish this game on one credit as the high scorer did. I'll take 2nd place for now
Lately I have been into these. Most of these newer Japanese shooters are really fun, not button mashers like the 1st gen shmups. You should try this one out. I just requested the other 2 Ibara arcade games added as they are even better than this.
Sexiest MAME shooter!
Thanks, I didn't know half of the things you said were part of the game and I owned this cartridge back in the day. Thanks for the pointers!
Great shooter. The top scorer breaking 1 million is insane. This is my best attempt for now.
Oh, and great score. You def. have more patience and skill than this man.
You and JES inspired me to play this one again tonight. This game should come with a "May cause turrets to flair up.." warning on the cover. I haven't sworn that much since '88 when I last played it
This game still has the same frustrating and unforgiving game play it had 28 years ago! LJN fun.. arrgh!
Oh, Video runs a bit long as I failed to stop recording after finishing the round. You get a bonus game demo and a short round by me at the end.
Not a bad port of this game once you play it a bit. Except for the weird soldier AI and psychedelic tank, it's pretty fun.
I'll see if I can beat this. I revisited most of the Ikari Warriors ports and arcade games recently, must have missed the Amiga version.
Improved my highscore by more than 10k.. Sloppy play at the end...
Oh, I will, in time
Bosses only in special mode.
VOTE NO, he used continues. I knew this was too good to be true. Read the instructions JML.
New high score! This is one of the better arcade shooters from this time for sure.
Sooo close to hitting the high score...
Possibly the worst port of an arcade game ever... I still grinded it out and landed this score. Thanks for voting!
One of my favorite arcade shooters ever. Sea Wolf on steroids. I practiced quite a bit to get this score, but it's beatable. I'll revisit this one again soon to see if I can improve. Cheers, thanks for the voting.
Zombie dogs, zombies with guns and nades, what couldn't be better in a game
Cabal meets Punchout. This is a pretty fun game.. I can't seem to get past the flame thrower boss though. I used 4 Dynamite punches against him and still lost.
One of the better all-around MAME arcade shooters I've played. Cheers, and thanks for the vote!
Beat my current highscore by 60k.
Oh, I'm not sure if they've ported this over the android. there is a web site that offers up a bunch of emulated handhelds: http://pica-pic.com
Download the CD collection.
Minutes of fun
Voting Yes, but a pic of the cabinet and a note as to where you played this would be ideal for additional evidence. This score is huge for this game...
Reposted, thanks for the heads up, I didn't notice I made that mistake.
Can't enter yards '93.27', see thread http://highscore.com/discussions/topic/view/882
Found them shortly after I posted to your post. I some how never saw these handhelds were emulated. I set a highscore in Nintendo Parachute earlier today
2nd Yes Vote
Hey Jes, what emulator do you use to play these? I'll have to try these out at some point. I had quite a few of these back in the day pre-gameboy.
Played @ Swillburger Bar/Arcade in Rochester, NY. Man, this table had so much stuff going on. Another one I would love to play many times to learn it. Cheers!
Played @ Swillburger in Rochester, NY. Another amazing table, even got a free-play because I broke 700k :) Cheers!
Played @ Swillburger Bar/Arcade in Rochester, NY. Another awesome table. This is one I wish I could play in a quiet room as I couldn't hear all the cool sounds and movie quotes due to the noise in the arcade.
Played @ Swillburger Bar/Arcade in Rochester, NY. Of all the pinball games there, this one was the one I wish I had more time to play. Cheers!
Played @ Swillburger Bar/Arcade in Rochester, NY. This is a really fun pinball game, and possibly the best back glass art I've ever seen :)
Played @ Swillburger Bar/Arcade in Rochester, NY. Awesome machine, played like it just rolled off the line back in '82 :)
Played @ Swillburger Bar/Arcade in Rochester, NY. "ISV" was my first score, I screwed up and hit the button prematurely when entering my high score. This machine played really well. Cheers, thanks for voting!
Played @ Swillburger Bar/Arcade in Rochester, NY. Great machine, I forgot how fun this game is. I made it the 2nd boss but died.
Played @ Swillburger Bar/Arcade in Rochester, NY. Sorry for the crappy photos. This machine played ok, 1st player joystick didn't feel like it should, but game was still playable.
Played @ Swillburger Bar/Arcade in Rochester, NY. Sorry for the bad quality photos. This machine played really well, cool venue with a decent selection of games and pinball machines.
Wow, haven't seen one of those Packard Bell PCs in years. I used to work retail for Staples back in that time and sold a bunch of these.
Check this one out, very fun. If you can find the latest MAME .179 rom set, this one is in there.
Wow, I didn't think beating this game on one credit was possible. You have my vote!
Voted Yes! Saw you had a NO vote on this... wtf?
BlueMsx Is the best I've found. I believe it also plays Colecovision Roms as well.
Such a tough game... Plays similar to Cabal, but so much more going.
I won so many Toasters! :)
Nice score! I flipped this one like you did back as a kid, but don't have those skillz anymore! Cheers!
Not by much. I'm sure if we both played this one 100 times, you'd come out with the high score. BTW, did you also get hit by a "NO" voter yesterday as I did? Looks like we have some trolls on the site again.
Excellent score! Almost had the boss at the end there.
Yes to your last batch of scores!
Auto-continued when I died with the score of 31,130. Not the best port of this game...
Thanks! This should be an east score to beat. I played a # of games and this was my best. I voted for all of your scores Larq, thanks!
Yep, thank god I didn't have my Mic on as it would have sounded like I had Terrets :)
Amazing score, Yes from me!
Just voted for your lastest, nice scores all around!
Thanks! It's been a chilled weekend of classic gaming for me :)
Holy Crap! You killed everyones highs with this one! Excellent score!
I had to check this out, you got me beat dude. You better with the computer ladies than I am :)
Thanks, that game is so unforgiving. One crash before stage 3 and your doomed :)
I couldn't seem to hit that next extended play point.. Arggh! Great game!
Love this game, but it's not the same without the original bike arcade. Those graphics were tops back in '85 :)
Thanks, I couldn't clear that 2nd level.. tried a # of times, effin' tough!
You didn't even play the game...
Still as tough as I remember. Looks easier than it its.
You weren't joking, I just looked on Ebay, $670! Was this one a rare release?
The joystick on this machine was sketchy, not smooth at all. 1UP is more of a bar than an arcade and they do a horrible job maintaining this machines. Still fun to see a gem like this one still running.
Yes from me!
Yes from me!
@1UP in Denver, Colorado. This machine plays well.
@ 1UP in Denver, Colorado. The joystick on this machine was a pile of burning garbage but I was still able to pull this score off. Cheers!
At 1UP in Denver, Colorado this weekend. The joystick on this machine was a pile of burning garbage, stiff and had a mind of it's own. I was still able to pull this score off, and will try again to beat this soon. Cheers!
This game is a gem, first time playing it this evening and will try again soon to beat this score. Cheers, thanks for voting!
Surprised this game didn't all ready have a High Score here. Fun game!
It doesn't appear you can Tuck N' Roll to the left and right as you can in the Arcade version. Space bar thros nades.. joy, I now remember having to use the space bar in a # of games on the C64 in addition to using the joystick. Convenient...
Here we go:
Ha! I need to find the manual for this one as I couldn't figure out how to throw nades or tuck n' roll as you can in the Arcade version.
Odd, same version I'm using. Oh well, I was able to get the Capcom disk to work ok in WinVice 2.4.. I'll stick with that for now. Thanks for the reply!
This is the Capcom version. For some reason Vice wouldn't load the Ocean of any of the other version. Thanks for voting, cheers!
Voted yes! What emulator are you using? I tried to play this one in Vice with no luck.
Thanks, I tried this one but will have to check it out again. I remember the one kid on the block who had one of these while the rest had 2600's :) The controller on this console was horrid...
This game is a grind. I broke 50k once but the game froze up. Just like the NES version does :P
Uggh, this game is still horrible. I still remember buying this game, getting home to play and being so disappointed :( Another one of those NES games that would freeze up at the end. I don't think I ever finished it.
Voted Yes! What emulator are you using to play Intellivision games? I need to get that console setup on my box, just haven't made the effort yet. Thanks!
Better than the Atari ports.. only Ikari Warrirors game I remember with Spread shot power ups. Score doesn't display in game but does show at the end of the game. Cheers, thanks for voting!
One of the games I played the hell out of in my teens. Def. the best port of the arcade game, and buggy as hell when too much is going on on the screen.
I know as a kid I doubled or tripled this score, but this will do for now. I'm revisit this one down the road sometime. Thanks for voting! Cheers!
Playes this a ton as a kid both Arcade and NES. Memories of the NES version crashing are still with me to this day. Thanks for the vote and please vote for my other scores!
It's odd to play a horizontal shooter that has zero power ups.. Vote for my scores when you get a chance! Thanks!
Thanks, voted mutally for yours as well. Cheers!
One of the only games I've played that only displays your Highscore at the end of the game. This plays really well on MAME.
Worst port of this game yet, I love how it starts you out with a bombardment of planes attacking. I'm not sure if it's the game, emulator or OBS, but this game runs like garbage.
Thanks for voting, please vote on my other scores! Cheers!
This is one hell of side-scrolling shooter. Thanks for voting! Cheers!
This game will make your hands cramp up... Dieing on that first level is so frustrating...
Love this game, great score. I think I tried this a few weeks ago and didn't even come close to your score or the others.
Please vote for my other scores when you get a chance, I'm so close with a few! Cheers! Leave a comment and I'll make sure I vote for your scores as well.
I love how there are just random bikini chicks running around on a few levels. Great game, still holds up and enjoyable even without the light gun.
Yeah, it's no Commando that's for sure.
Voted Yes on all of your scores. Do the same back when you can! Cheers!
Fun game, great feeling when you hit extended play :P
This classic plays horribly on MAME. I'd love to play this game again on an actual machine, just as tough as I remember.
Please vote for my other scores please! Cheers!
Voted Yes! This one looks fun, never played. Vote for my scores when you get a free second, I need only a few votes to push a few trophies through. Cheers!
This is the Japanese version of T.N.K. III. Not a whole lot different from the US version.
Pretty cool, I just looked that up, they call it the 2800! I never heard about that system prob. because it came out very late in that systems lifespan. It crazy how big some of those later systems were. At first glance, your system looks lik a 7800. Pretty cool!
Nice, what machine is that?
Vote for my scores when you can, I only need a few more to trophy! Cheers!
My bad, I added this under the wrong category, should be emulated.
This is the sketchiest version of Yie Ar by far. The controls are sticky, and the same sound when you attack gets on your nerves.. Fun game, opponents are damn tough.
Another of my all-time faves, finally added to the site. The end there was unforeign ground... I got obliterated quite a few times at the end.
Vote for my other scores when you get the chance! Thanks!
OMG! I totally forgot about this game. This was one of my faves as kid. I'm going to have to set a goal to beat your score and see if I remember how to play this one. Cheers!
Yes from me. Please vote for my High scores when you get a chance! Thanks!
Cool, nice and portable. I'd never get anything done with emulators on my phone :)
Only increased my previously recorded high score by a bit but thought I'd post it anyways. I recently hi 400k at the 1UP arcade down the street, but can't seem to get that same flow on MAME.
Vote for my other scores please! I only need a few more to push throught a few trophies.Cheers!
Nice! What setup of Mame do you play on? All of you images have the B and A button overlays...
Voted Yes. That Slik Stik looks almost identical to the joystick I had for my 2600 and 800 back in the day. When you get a chance, can you vote for my highscores? Thanks, I'll do the same. - ISB
Voted Yes, please vote for my highscores as well! Cheers!
Thanks Omar, ditto here, cheers!
Voted Yes and voted for all of your other scores. Please return the favor when you get a chance as I also need 1 or 2 votes to push through a few scores! Thanks!
Voted Yes! Nice score!
Fun game! Please vote for my other scores! Post a note and I'll make sure to vote for yours!
Thanks! I wish the same squat, wait, strike technique used on Pole in the C64 version worked in the arcade version. He's brutal in the ports.
If you are going to vote against a video, like some douche did mine, have the nuts to post a comment explaining. Thanks!
Please vote for my other scores!! I only need a few votes on most of my scores to get them through! Thanks, ISB,
Made it to TonFun... great game!
One of my better runs, Some how I got through the barrels unharmed, and had a number of successful tuck n' roll moments.
Nice, already beat the score I submitted earlier today. Now I have something to shoot for!
Ha! I just added this to my list of games to check out. Looks cool.
Just as fun as it was when I was 11 :) The cave sector is just as hard to get through as I remember.
Why did someone vote No on this? Trolls?
I'm super rusty, when I find more time, I will obliterate this score. This game has such a good feel to it, classic.
I used to play this at the 7-11 down the street. The graphics then blew my mind. Still plays well and is still very fun, and hard.
I beat this score the other night by about 15k.. but wasn't recording :(
If you can, please vote for my other high scores. I only need a handful to push them through. Thanks!
Owned by Chain big time. This is another one I played a ton of growing up.
I've been playing this game for 3 decades now, a few times a year at least... This isn't my best high score, I'm pretty sure I've broken 120,000 on one quarter on the actual arcade machine.
Thanks, I've Yessed the majority of your videos. Nice setup!
Thanks Jes, I was sure I didn't touch the Dip Switches and Easy was the default.
Sorry, Audio stream was setup incorrectly, no Audio.
I used to play this game often as a kid, this was fun to revisit.
