You made it to stage 3. Not bad at all
Good gameplay and nice cabinet!
The PAL version is actually quite cheap. I found my copy of it in a Cash Converters for only £3.50. The Japanese version is pricey though.
Great score! I remember this game, my goodness it's hard.
The noise in the video
1 credit clear. Please be aware that there is alot of background noise. This is because the machine is located at a busy and noisy roller skating rink.
vote from me. A great classic shooter.
vote from me! Just some tips for stage 3, If you use the magic arrows against the serpent midboss you will kill him instantly. Even quicker than the wild fire. And it's best to keep with the straight shot as it can really protect you from those swords that rain down on you.
Good playing Derek, I love this game.
Great work! You maxed out the counter
Thanks! This game isn't easy
This is a no continue playthrough. Please watch the video for details.
Good eyes! It was a sticker from an advertisement in a cereal packet for one of my favourite movies Tintin and the Secret of the Unicorn. I stuck it on my DSi 5 years ago.
vote from me. Looks like a brilliant port of Raiden IV
Thanks! It is a DSi
Metal Black looks like a Darius game.
Yes! Great isn't it. It is the deluxe version that runs on the same PCB as the original handheld.
This course is so basic. I wish there were rankings for the more challenging courses like Rainbow Road on here. Played on Wii Console.
Cleared the first loop on 1 credit and died at stage 6 on the second loop. I'm amazed I actually got this far just using a standard Megadrive pad.
Thanks, I think this version was only released in the UK. I would say the screen is smaller than the original handheld. You need to sit really close to it and have the correct lighting if you want to see anything.
vote from me. Not bad, I personally think this Metal Slug is the hardest of them all, and the longest.
This version was made by Tiger, but sold in the UK by Grandstand.
Deluxe Tabletop Version. Mine is very old and not in the best condition. It doesn't have sound and the joystick is very stiff, making it difficult to dodge missiles.
A game mode where you get only one minute to get as many points as possible in each stage.
There are four stages. Higher scores open harder routes, lower scores open easier routes. The best way to score is to shoot enemies in the hand (Virtua Cop players will be familiar with this) so they drop their weapon and the score will be multiplied.
vote from me. Is this game region free or is that a Japanese console you are using?
Sorry for the bad lighting, this is an original GBA console with no backlight.
Thanks Ivan! All that repetition was worth it.
Thanks! This machine was recently installed at the bowling alley near my home.
To get the score this high I had to keep doing the bonus truck stages for a very long time to rack up the score. I did not video the entire session as my recording device cannot record for really long periods of time. I do demonstrate the technique in the video though.
The key to high scoring is to power up your ship very early with the coloured bells, and regularly collect pink and flashing bells. Pink is shield, Flashing is missile. The bells increase in score value when they are not missed. Collect as many as you can without missing and the score will skyrocket.
Thanks, I only just got enough points to crack kaplitov's trophy!
Thanks for the vote! The light gun I used was a PS1 G-Con45
vote here. And for Wii version, if you play without aim reticle you get more points. And the SPR11 is the most highest scoring gun.
vote from me. Great score.
vote from me. Nice job!
Thank you! It wasn't easy to achieve.
Cleared the first loop on one credit. The second loop is insane! The punch attack in this game is great for cancelling bullets.
vote from me. Well done, Gillius is my favourite character too. The wide attack range with the axe is an advantage.
vote here. Great score, I didn't even know this was on the Game Boy Color!
vote from me.
I really don't understand why people vote no on scores that are obviously legit. Anyway thanks for the vote and yes it's a great stick. It really is arcade quality.
Very old time. I set it way before I joined this site. The greater times on the machine were not set by me.
I see, that's an excellent price for an arcade stick. I use a Madcatz SF4 arcade stick for Xbox 360 shmups which costed me double that price.
vote. That's a nice arcade stick you have there, is that what you use now?
vote from me! Great classic game this is.
I really need more practice with this game. To me it's way way harder than Time Crisis 4. I'm pleased with the score though.
Thanks! To get best lap time use two mushrooms at the very long parts of the track and use the third one at the sand shortcut.
vote from me!
vote from me! The Strikers games are fantastic. Great score.
I deleted my previous score as I set a new slightly higher one today. Even better I've added a video of the complete run.
vote from me! I always liked this classic game.
vote from me, great game.
I used Keith. There is no video for this score as I set it at a time when I wasn't recording.
Thank you, this score was hard to achieve.
Cleared on one credit. The proof that I did is the star by my initials.
vote from me. Intresting game. Also, would you mind voting for my Darius II Mega Drive score? It only needs 1 more vote to be published. Thanks
I have now cleared all of the modes of this game. I think I will have a break from it now! Keep in mind that this is the PAL version where Accipiter is called Red Orion.
I see, that's ok. I'm pleased you did earlier.
vote from me. Nice score, don't often see Vectrex stuff on here. Also, would you mind voting on my Darius II Mega Drive score? It only needs 1 more vote to be published. Thanks
vote from me. Intresting game.
vote from me.
vote from me. This game looks very Raiden like. I think it was by the same company that made Zing Zing Zip.
vote from me. Intresting monitor you have there, the speakers fold out from the screen.
Also known as Rayforce. For this gameplay you get a vote.
vote from me. Good job! This game is like an early Street Fighter.
vote from me. For expert mode your score is very good. Also, would you mind voting for my Time Crisis 4 record? it only needs 2 more votes to be published. Thank you
vote from me. This game is like Konami's take on Final Fight.
vote from me. This is a decent port, only thing is that the box art has no relevance to the game at all. Why did they have to change the name too?
vote from me. Great work. I remember this game, brings back a lot of good memories.
vote from me. Nice reflexes! This game looks quite scary but fun. Also, would you mind voting for my Time Crisis 4 record? It only needs 2 more votes to be published. Thank you
vote from me, nice work. Also, would you mind voting for my Time Crisis 4 record? It only needs 3 more votes to be published. Thanks
vote from me. Great job!
I see. Parsec was a great game, the most hardest part was refuelling the ship.
vote from me. This really is the most bizarre shooting game I've ever seen! Great run though.
vote here, nice score and great setup too.
Took a lot of practice to get this flawless time, but it was definitely worth it. Played on original Wii console with Gamecube controller. (Prefered control method)
vote here. This game brings back a lot of memories and nicely played.
vote here, all games in the gradius series really do punish the player for losing lives more than any other shooter. Nice score though, keep up the good work.
vote here, nicely done.
Nice gameplay, Viper Phase has a lot of Raiden vibes to it.
Bateleur is called Blue Nova in the PAL version.
Nice gameplay. I like seeing gameplay with the Lightning. I find it to be my favourite fighter in this game.
It is a modded UK PAL Megadrive with a 60hz switch fitted, and the cartridge slot is widened to fit Japanese games.
The graphics of the arcade version are far superior, but this is a very good port. I would recommend picking it up. Just keep in mind that it will only work with the Guncon 1 lightgun and CRT screen.
Great score. This definitely gets a yes vote from me.
Thanks for the vote, there will be more replays soon.
This game reminds me very much of Sega's older mounted gun game The Ocean Hunter.
I once did the truck levels many times till I got 1 million, but that was ages ago before I joined this site. I should play this again and upload a record.
Nicely done, to score this high you must have done the extra stages many times.
Mushihimesama Futari is one of the few CAVE shooters that is region free. It will work on any 360 console.
It sure is! I have played the arcade version of this game a lot and memorised the patterns well. This is my first clear of the PS1 port. The Guncon 1's pinpoint accuracy helped me alot too.
Played on PS2. (Backwards Compatible)
Played on Wii U console. (Backwards Compatible)
Keep in mind that this game just counts total seconds. 400 seconds is 6 minutes.
Nice game, reminds me of Strikers 1945
Nice work! These mounted machine gun type shooting games are never easy. This game looks great though. I really want to play it but there are no machine locations I know in my area. I also see a Lost Land Adventure machine next door to Transformers.
Autospin was used as I didn't want to destroy my controller, all other settings are default.
PAL Version. In this version Accipiter is called Red Orion.
Thanks! I am new to this site, I will keep that in mind.
Default settings, player 2 ship used. X route.
This is the PAL Version. In this version the Bateleur is renamed to the Blue Nova. Played on black DS.
Other info: Difficulty: Normal
Thanks! Your score is good too. Just a tip, when you fight the swarms of flying terror bites when Captain Rush tells you to use the shotgun, use the grenade instead. You will get greater time bonus. Using the machine gun against bosses and large enemies can increase your chain higher.
Hey jmaio I have now added a video of my run.
Thanks for the tip, I should have held my smartphone horizontally.
Ok thanks for reminding me, soon I will update this entry with a photo of my PS2 and the game box.
Rapid Side Attack was used.
1 Credit Clear, played on real arcade machine.
