The controls for this game are pretty bad. Not quite on par with the GB version, but it's pretty stiff. Found myself falling off ledges quite often.
This track looks like a person kneeling while holding something. Cool track theme too!
Still uploading sideways for some reason .Also, my apologies for the picture being a tad blurry
This track is such a nuisance. Those twist pads will screw you up so bad, especially on high score runs .
Technically, it's a DS Lite, but it's running the original cartridge in the GBA games slot. My actual GBA is dead right now because the charger died!
I love the Cloud Carpet tracks. The design of them are fun and the stage theme is easily the best in my opinion!
Jump! Jump! Jump!
This track is a lot of fun, especially in the area where the track splits and there are a wave of turbo pads on the ground. It's high octane goodness!
My apologies for it uploading sideways, but it's all there! Feels nice to be uploading stuff again. Been wanting to clean these times up a little bit. ????
Not sure why this uploaded sideways, but it's my new personal best!
If I remember correctly, I took a couple deaths during the course of the playthrough. But, as I have always come to understand, if you are moving through the game at a natural pace and not point farming, your end score usually comes out somewhere in the ballpark of this.
Just a little curious. How did you manage to get such a high score? I've beaten the game on Hard numerous times and have never even managed to scrape 100k points without point farming.
Great race! Looks like I will have to jump in the white car and see if I can best you :)
Second picture shows the difficulty.
I tried to get a snapshot of my death so that the in-game screen could be shown, but it happened so fast that I couldn't get to it in time. Luckily, the game does show it at the menu screen like this. The game does allow continues, but if you choose to use them, it does erase your score. So, this was indeed off of one credit.
Took the screenshot while taking my final death as the game doesn't display your final score on the Game Over screen. The boss hit me and made me fall off the top of the building
I took the screenshot here since the game has a bad habit of not displaying your final score at the Game Over screen, and it does it IMMEDIATELY. So, being pre-emptive about it was the better idea considering that the score didn't change anyways.
The game has a fair amount of charm to it despite being so terrible. Once you get the hang of it... it's actually kinda fun!
Took this snapshot right as I took my final death.
Had to take this snapshot as quickly as possible. When you lose your last life, the game almost immediately goes to the Game Over screen. There are no continues in this game, only three lives to beat the entire thing!
First photo there will show the stats on the left side, and the second photo is just there to show which difficulty was selected for this attempt.
Thanks a lot! Pretty fun little game, even if it's extremely repetitive!
Yes it does! I am fairly certain that one of the enemy ships is a TIE Fighter too lol
Took the snapshot right before taking my last death. This game is rough in the sense that if you get killed, you automatically respawn and there are no invincibility frames... so you can literally lose 5 lives in 5 seconds if you aren't careful.
I don't know why all of the pictures uploaded sideways... but there's nothing I can do now. The score is provided in the first picture, while the second picture shows proof of course selection and third picture shows proof that penalties are indeed turned on.
Sorry that the picture quality is a little rough, but everything is still legible.
Don't mind the date for the second and third pictures, I took those a long time ago to start setting up these submissions. But, those at least do help show which ST I am using for these runs. The arrows provided in the top photo show Time, Difficulty and Opponent name.
This game has a phenomenal soundtrack in my opinion, always a pleasure to hear it while playing!
First photo shows the score, second photo shows which course I had selected because the score screen doesn't show the course. Third photo shows that I had Penalty Strokes enabled.
This game is deceptively tough. Some of the holes in this game are simply cruel...
Played at Archive.org's, they have a big library of games!
Proof of difficulty and score are both there, played through and beat all 15 levels! There are no continues, so if you lose your lives... that's it.
Kinda funny that this game gives you a little message at the end when you beat the game lol
Nice score! The only thing that I can't figure out is how to jump. I keep getting stuck!
Got the snapshot right as I took my final death as this game doesn't display your score at the Game Over screen. No high score table either.
The thing that's nice about this game is that it's just a little more forgiving than Gradius. You can die in the middle of a level and still battle your way out without being totally screwed.
Had to take this snapshot right as I took my last death, because the game doesn't have a high score table, nor does it display it at the Game Over screen.
A little premature on the screenshot, don't you think?
You had so much fuel left to get a higher score with!
This is the only time during the game that your score is displayed is when you lose your last life. Not a terrible port of the game, just a tad bit bland.
I'm gonna get it! One of these days!
That damn Pole Vault event really screwed me over!
I was extremely fortunate on Scene 7 or 8, I had a series of lucky dodges that got me out of a corner while they were charging down at me... I couldn't believe it! Lol
Took me a minute to get used to the control sensitivity, but once I got rolling, then it was all gravy. I love River Raid!
This version of the game can be very frustrating in certain stages because the movement of your ship is kinda choppy and awkward. But, overall, I still think it's solid.
Played via BlueMSX emulator. I got fairly lucky on this run, fortunate enough to get a couple lucky power ups and level skips that provided getting me through a couple levels that I probably wouldn't have cleared otherwise.
There are no continues in this game, nor is there a high score table, so I had to capture the screenshot as my last life was taken.
Played on BlueMSX emulator. The speed of the game is pretty slow compared to other versions that I have played. But, it was still doable. Once you get into a rhythm, then it's all gravy from there :) I even managed to get to playing the "Super" team!
I really like the idea of using your regular weapon to kill enemies to charge up the auxiliary rapid fire weapon. Pretty nifty idea!
Nobody messes with Adam We!
It's definitely my favorite retro racing game of all time!
Was able to take a quick snapshot upon beating the last boss in the game.
A little bit of a rough race for you in this one. This track can be tricky with visibility of rival cars with those hills. Solid choice on using the white car for this track for its ability to avoid needing to pit.
Ouch! That wreck at the end there really hurt you. But, still a race well done!
Well done! You're not too far off from reaching my time. Always make sure that you use your nitro as early as you can on that long straightaway so that you don't lose speed on that sharp corner at the end :)
Tough little puzzle game. This right here, though, is the major flaw. If you go into a room like this and mess up with no way to leave the room or kill yourself to reset it... then you're stuck and the game is over. That's what happened to me here.
This game is tough, man. While the players moves fairly well, the attacking is kinda cluncky and awkward at times. Still pretty fun if you can get the hang of it.
Will do, my friend!
Fun game! Pretty tough, though. If you miss that gas pump by ONE pixel, you are screwed, my friend.
Doesn't Jr. Pac-Man play on a zoomed in perspective that scrolls?
Lol one of these voters chose that I didn't follow the rules. Exactly what about this entry doesn't follow the rules?
Watch out for the choppers! They are crafty little buggers. Especially in the later stages where everything starts moving a lot faster.
This version is just so damn hard. If you aren't 100% precise on your jumps, you'll pinball all over the place. Very frustrating to say the least.
Tried to get a snapshot of the Game Over screen, but the capture software wouldn't snag it fast enough. But, the score is still there at least. Those late levels are hectic as hell!
Man, this game is really hard. The controls are SO touchy, and you better not run out of rocks or you're toast!
The only thing that I don't like about doing videos for this is that I would have to open up a new YouTube account just for that which is a bit of a hassle, and I think that while it does offer validity in the submission, it also totally reveals your strategies for how you achieve them.
Not sure why this entry is getting so many downvotes. This game promptly ends when you run out of lives, there are no continues.
Not sure why this is getting so many downvoties. For people that need to know, there are no continues in this game, once you lose all your lives, the game is promptly over.
They are so fast to move downward when you aren't expecting it, and the precision that you need to land on the hippo is really finicky. But, I like the game a lot despite it only having two levels essentially.
Took the snapshot right after taking my final death. Tough little game, those snakes are real assholes!
It's out there! It's the first version of the game that I remember playing. Well, kinda. There was an unlicensed NES game by Wisdom Tree that I had picked up at a garage sale when I was a little kid called Joshua, and it was basically the same thing as Crystal Mines but in a more biblical theme. Also a fun game (in my opinion at least)
I'm not sure why these pictures seem to be so small, but if you right-click the images and open them in separate tabs, you will get a much clearer picture than these little preview ones. Anywho, the first photo was the final score for submission after receiving the Stage Bonus on the final level (Level 60) and the second picture, just for the hell of it, I suppose, was directly after I defeated the final boss in the game. The game, however, doesn't end until you walk out the final door. Fun little game, it has a wonderful and addictive soundtrack!
Nice score! One life runs are always a high tension thing, but they're fun :)
This game is a little tough, but as to be expected on a handheld. The perspective in zoomed in a little bit much for my liking, but at least the movement is pretty smooth and relatively easy to control for the most part. I like it!
I really like this version of the game, it actually seemed to control pretty well, even on a keyboard. Just in case you are wondering if this is legit, if you choose to use continues in this game, it wipes your score and sends it back to 0. So, continuing will not allow you to keep adding to your score.
Not sure why the picture is so small, but if you can find a way to enlarge it, it is clear as crystal. This game is very strange, but I do love the music for this game. It's quite nice! Pretty tough game too, I only made it to stage three.
I cannot stress how hard it is to control your character in this game. Some of the sound effects are really grating on the ears too lol
I almost played as the nerd lol
But I went with the Gunslinger (or whatever the name was)
Kind of a strange installment in the franchise. All of the levels have kind of the same feel, but there are some STRANGE enemies that they added in, like cacti and slime men!
Strange little game, but pretty fun once you get the hang of it. You only get one life though, so if you die... that's it!
It is! I was actually delightfully surprised at how well it controlled.
Just so there is no confusion, you start the game with 2 continues, so as you can see... I did not use any lol
This version of the game is highly frustrating. The accuracy required to shoot the other cars is staggering! At least in the Genesis version, there seems to be a little bit of forgiveness.
Oh no, it was released, but I believe that it was an unlicensed title. Maybe just a part of the game they forgot to finish up before calling it ready.
You're definitely right! One of my all-time favorites!
Had to be very quick with this and pause the game right as I was taking my final death because this ROM seems to freeze after you let the continue screen count down to zero. Tough game! Kinda strange that after you beat a stage, not only does it not actually give you the bonus that it calculates... but it doesn't let you carry over your powerups to the following stage.
This is my first time playing any Lynx games, and I must say, I think that this version is EASILY better than the version for the NES. Really fun little game, but boy does it get hard!
I can see that. I'm not sure what I need to do in order to sway this thing the right way. All of the necessary information is there if you look closely enough lol
Sure! I will take a look when I get home from work today!
Thanks a lot! Feels good to be back again!
I've missed you guys!
Definitely my first posting in a really long time. Looks like much has happened since I took a long break!
For the most part, the first two stages aren't too bad. The second stage can be a pain if you aren't patient with the guys in the shielded pod things, but the third level is really where it starts getting nasty. That driller mini-boss when you scale the wall is where I finally went down.
It feels good to be back and posting again!
Life has been really hectic lately so I needed to take a break, but now I am ready to try and make up for lost time and scores :)
Hey guys, I'm back :)
The worst part about this one was that I was rendering a video and so it was eating up a lot of my computers resources at the time I was playing. So, I literally had to try playing through that area with a higher than acceptable amount of lag. Bad idea!
That damn Turbo Tunnel! Does me in every single time!
I know! What a bummer, but for the most part the majority of them work great :)
Played at archive.org
Pretty good round for me, I always liked the Health category!
You may have to enlarge the photo to see it clearly.
Had to play the Japanese version of this game to obtain scores as the English version does not display them. I actually could have done better on this run but once the score rolled over 100k, it didn't add a sixth digit placeholder in-game, so I wanted to make sure that when the run was over it would still display correctly on the menu screen. I will have to see if I can max the score out! I just might be able to :)
That's basically what I have been doing from the beginning. I've never been a fan of making videos for it since that would require me to open another full YouTube channel for it, and I think that it also gives away a person's techniques for scoring and whatnot.
Ah yes, good ol' Joshua. I played this game a lot during my childhood. One of those unlicensed Christian video games, but always a pretty fun challenge with cool puzzles!
Those damn exploding birds and disembodied heads still bother me lol
My best run of this to date. I actually would've made it a bit further but I had a mishap in laying a trap and it got me killed!
It's a really fun game. I had a demo of it on this CD-ROM when I was growing up and I had always wanted a full version to play. Thank Heavens for Archive!
So, when you are playing Minor and Major mode, when you complete a stage, they provide you with a stage bonus. But, they will only do it once... ever. If you complete the stage again, they will never give you the bonus. So, that's why I made a modifier to even the playing field.
I know the score is a little hard to see, but if you right click the image and open in a new tab, it's crystal clear!
Played at archive.org's MS-DOS software library.
First time playing Balls of Steel in a LONG TIME. Got a long ways to go in order to compete with Mantalow's score, but I will get there someday!
Go figure... an advertisement popped up right in front of the spot where it would have identified what game mode this was. However, the stats lend to the idea that this was an Accuracy drill. So, I guess that helps.
It's really unfortunate that this game doesn't give any sort of indication what game mode you are in after the round is complete. So, I suppose that you guys will have to take me for my word on this one.
Is it the same style of game? That would interesting to see how the Genesis could make that work.
With this one, the score is listed on the left. I tried to best my score but couldn't seem to, so I just had to take a screenshot with it this way.
There's my score there at #2.
I loved the Balls of Steel pinball tables! Reminds me of my childhood
I have it on Disc. I have a feeling that it's available via download on the PS Store, but I've not seen it yet in there.
Couldn't catch the photo fast enough so the 'F' in my initials didn't make it on the screen. But, I think that it's pretty obvious which score was mine anways lol
I had a sticky note with my name on it, but my picture didn't get it in there. However, you guys have seen other GB/GBC entries from me using this same dinged up Red GBA so that's a fair level of verification on it's own I suppose.
I can imagine that this would be pretty tough to play emulated. It's hard enough to play in the flesh let alone with a keyboard/gamepad
Played on my JXD s7800b gaming tablet.
Even with the game on Easy, it's still kinda tricky! This score took me a number of times to achieve because I kept dying in the same damn spot on Level 2.
Truthfully, I never do video evidence. I know that it really helps for validation purposes, but it really gives away personal strategies!
I made sure to get my entry right this time
Oops! Thanks for catching that! I'll re-upload the score here momentarily :) Larcen, I have a program called SnagIt9 that allows me to take screenshots and then crop to my liking.
I've played it before, it's actually rather fun! Especially with that 360 degree joystick lol
The score counter only goes to 9999, so once it hits 10,000, the counter resets back to 0000 but gives you a flower to signify that you have reached 10,000 points. So, that's how to calculate what the score actually is.
I've been waiting for someone to upload some of these so that I have someone to challenge :) When I get my Dreamcast up and running again, I will see if I can beat you!
I don't think so, but it's a fairly easy process to do.
You basically just download the ROMS from the internet and then drop them into the proper folder when it's connected via USB. A number of emulators will already be pre-added into the tablet upon powering up the first time.
Usually, I get most of my ROMS from sites like Emuparadise, ROMHustler and ROMNation. They've always been my go-to places.
It's truly a fantastic investment, you won't regret it! It runs all of the retro systems really, really well.
Played on my JXD S7800B gaming tablet. This one seems easier at times than the NES port and also harder at times in certain areas. Fun game overall, though.
Trying to control your car when doing Nitro runs (especially with the Red car) can be really frustrating when you reach top speed, everything approaches you SO fast!
The White car is definitely the best for new players because the fuel concumption is AMAZING. Not great for High Score hunting necessarily, but you learn the tracks really well that way.
Great score! Ya got me
Falsion was a Famicom Disk System game, so it was only available in Japan. Really fun game though, very hectic!
Pretty cool little game, kinda reminds me of the stages in Captain Skyhawk in terms of perspective and how enemies spawn. The music is really good too!
Also, little piece of trivia: NormalBoots.com's video intro music (Which is used by popular YT'ers like JonTron, ProJared, etc.) was actually taken directly from the "Game Over" jingle in this game.
His face is also terrifying.
What car were you using?
Interesting little game, kinda reminds me of Kung Fu from the arcades but not as good. The tune that plays during the stage really gets on your nerves after a minute or so.
Rio is a really tough track. Trying to gauge fuel consumption and trying to catch up with the rival cars after the first pit stop is really stressful!
I actually had totally forgotten that it was going on lol I have been so busy over the last few months that I haven't been able to be as consistent as I normally am
Tough little game, I got to the last level but couldn't quite get to the final boss.
I think that it was exclusive to Japan. All of the text in the game is all Kanji I believe.
Lol for the time coming out as 1-2-3-4-5. Totally didn't notice that until I was uploading it
I just tossed on some music to drown out the insults! Ended up working out pretty well I must say
Damn... well that was over before it began then...
I think that it's particularly hard because of how condensed the bottom floor is on both of them and how troublesome the side ramps closest to the flippers are. They can really cause some havoc
This was probably the best performance that I have ever had playing Pinball Arcade on any table. So proud of this score :) Almost cracked the Top 200 all-time too!
I got super lucky on this score. I actually got saved by a weird thing happening on my third ball where it went between the flippers, but because of the angle and speed of the ball, it actually careened off of the bottom wall and came back up the right side back into the field of play! It was wild!
Thank you :)
Already? Darn haha short lived!
While it's not particularly close to the record, I shattered my old personal best so I have to be proud of that :)
Don't beat me too quickly, this one took me awhile! Haha
Meant to upload the photos in order but I messed up, sorry about that. Technically, this is the best score that you can obtain if you finish every single lap during the circuit in 1st place without losing any lives. However, scores can technically be higher than this because if you die, the points that you accrue during said race will carry over when the race restarts. Kind of a flawed system, but that's how it works.
The maximum score that you can attain in the game if you finish 1st on every lap (without losing any lives via dying) is 30,500. However, if you die or rank out during the race, the points that you accrue during said race will carry over.
Interesting category. I like it! Especially considering that the points are fixed depending on what position you finish laps in. I think that I might have to mess around with these a little bit after I work on some Pinball Arcade scores!
I know that it's not the best score by any means, but I am proud of it. I generally have had terrible luck on this table, it just seems to be one of those that I don't excel on at all. But, I was messing around with it last night and I managed to get my highest score ever so I thought it was post-worthy
Stonehenge, the final race in the game. Don't let the simple design fool you, it's a challenge in an interesting way. Due to the emulated version of this game having accelerated fuel consumption for whatever reason and the idea that this track does not feature a re-fueling station... unless you are using the White car, you will not finish this race. I have attempted this with all four cars, and have never successfully completed the race with any of the others, even with Nitro.
The track itself has a couple problem spots because of some constant up-down-up-down type of hills, but it's actually fairly tame (aside the fuel dilemma part)
Loch Ness makes for a fantastic penultimate race in this game. It is really quite difficult in terms of executing "perfect" runs due to the types of high-speed sharp turns that exist in here, namely the one in the very beginning of the race. That's the one that really throws you for a loop. Avoiding enemy cars in that section is a real headache.
I can't even express to you how much luck I had during this race. I narrowly escaped driving off the track into the grass a couple different times, my positioning going into some of the sharp turns was perfect for had I been to the left or right just a little bit, I would have ruined my run with collisions. It was absolutely the best that I think I could get out of this one.
Sheffield is a fun little track. Lots of areas to grab some high speed, however the amount of sharp turns can make avoiding enemy cars on the second and third laps very hectic if you aren't careful. Nitro usage is pretty easy to figure out as there is really only one practical area to use it.
This one was pretty straight forward for me. I actually was able to separate myself from the pack rather quickly which was nice, then from there it was just making sure that I didn't mess up on one of the many sharp corners.
Ah, London. This track proposes a very unique challenge that has not been seen yet in previous tracks. This is possibly the only track in the game that requires you to re-fuel twice (depending on which car you are using, you may have already had to do this) so prepare yourselves for that one.
I had to do some research on this track in terms of refueling to see what the optimal course of action was for that and I think I've got it down. I was able to maximize my speed and timing of Nitro and avoid collisions during this run without having to do anything crazy despite the rather heavy amount of dodging that I had to do. The spacing between enemy cars was quite interesting this time around. Usually, they are in clusters, but there were a lot more one-on-one encounters during this race than I remember normally having.
Florence is a very welcomed break in the action from what the other tracks in this set propose. It only has one spot that proposes any sort of challenge in terms of approach, outside of that... it is very, very easy.
Sicily is a tough cookie. Very unlike the previous track in this set, this one relies almost solely on technical stuff. There are hardly any areas to gain speed in other than a couple small sections and most of the turns are very sharp. If it weren't for the ability to use Nitro, it's a very difficult race to finish in the Emulated version.
There was one sequence of dodging in the first lap that I still can't wrap my head around. I was able to spearhead this group of four cars without touching any of them in the middle of a turn. I got so lucky that even I couldn't believe it. After that, it was smooth sailing.
Rome is probably my favorite track in the game, or a close second. It is wonderfully simple and open, there are nice and subtle areas to gain speed, and the track is more about just clear-cut execution than it is tricky dodging and complex turn sequences.
I made a fairly risky move in re-fueling and I tried to guess on how much I thought I needed to finish and I was afraid that I didn't get enough, but I literally had just enough to pass the finish line before the tank ran dry. Everything went exactly as I was hoping in this run.
In the emulated version of this game, Pisa is a track that allows for absolutely no mistakes or you will be guaranteed failure due to slightly heightened fuel consumption for some reason that I can't explain. However, that condition only applies if you don't have Nitro to play with, this provides a monstrous level of cushion and comfort to an otherwise frantic race.
It's very open and makes for a pretty easy scoot, so just pace yourself.
Great! I can't wait to see some scores from you. It's a wonderfully technical game that can really provide some good competition for HighScore
I hope that you decide to pick it up and give it a go, it's truly one of my absolute favorite games. It's a very addicting experience!
Monaco can be a tough cookie of a track, don't be fooled by the 3 lap tag. Very much like Oslo, this is a very long race and any major mistakes might make you unable to finish, even with Nitro. In the emulated version, the rival car will always run out of fuel (unless driving the white car)
Nothing special during this run, really. Once I established my spot in first, there was no turning back. No tricky dodges needed or anything.
Bordeaux is a total terror, especially when using Nitro in this game. Depending on where you decide to use it, you could be in for the single fastest area in the game where your car can potentially top out in speed. It gets pretty wacky.
In this run, I managed to judge my re-fueling properly this time and was able to avoid crashing into the bushes on the side of the road (which can be hard to avoid at times) during my Nitro runs.
Nice is one of my favorite tracks in the game. The 7 laps makes it a challenge for fueling and it's just overall a fun track to play on. Because there are obstacles in the road, there are two areas that can be a real pain in the ass and may also force you to collide with other cars as there are no ways around them.
That exact thing happened to me during the 6th lap, I went into an area where there were two enemy cars and there was no possible way that I could get around them, so I had to take a collision and move on. I also made a slight miscalculation on re-fueling so I ran out of gas about 300 yards before the race ended so I coasted across the finish, thus slowing down my run by probably a second or two. Otherwise, it was about as solid as could be.
Paris is one of my other arch rival tracks in this game. Whether I am using Nitro or not, the computer always makes this a tough race to win, because there is really only one area that you can pick up speed in due to the rest of the windy turns being too sharp!
I actually really got lucky in this race. I was only able to get the victory because on the final turn, the computer car hit me from behind and transferred his momentum to me, giving me the necessary speed to finish in 1st, otherwise he would have overtaken me and won. But, it was a good run nonetheless.
Apologies for uploading the "Results" photo twice.
Oslo is one of the longest 3 lap courses in the game, so you need to be very careful how you drive for collisions may lead to you not finishing the race even with Nitro. It's a pretty straight forward race though, only including really one or two turns that need particular care in execution.
Another pretty simple track to play with. Possibly another one of the highest speed courses in the game when Nitro is used, so have some fun and try not to ram into anyone while you're heading into those dip curves!
Copenhagen is a fun course with a little blend of everything: Open areas, dips for gaining speed, sharp turns, narrow roads. Pretty easy going course with two areas to keep watch on otherwise it can ruin your bid nice and quick.
Stockholm is a pretty easy course aside the windy curves in the middle of the track, when you are entering those at a high speed, it can really cause some havoc.
I was able to really torch through this one with relative ease though, I almost messed up on one of the sharp turns which would have slowed me down a bunch, but the game pitied me and I made it out alive.
Haha yeah, my Avi for the iOS GameCenter is totally Tim Curry in Home Alone 2 :)
Although Frankfurt is an 8 lap race, it's extremely easy outside of two segments. As long as you are mindful of your fuel consumption, you can make a pretty quick dispatching of this one.
There were a lot more cars for me to dodge in tricky areas than normal it seemed. I always had two or three to deal with at the exact same spot nearly every lap. But, I suppose that's gonna happen with such a small track.
Black Forest is my favorite track in the game. It is quite challenging considering that it offers the most consistent high speed experience over any track in the game. Monitoring where rival cars are at can be an absolute nightmare when you are barreling through turns at 280 km/h.
I managed to get through here squeaky clean, and I even had to make a pretty unconventional dodge at the very end to prevent running out of gas which involved driving into the grass around three other cars. Very tricky!
As you can tell, just looking at the track diagram is enough to give you a headache. Cologne is a very difficult and lengthy 3 lap race with lots and lots of hard corners. This track is very close to impossible without the use of Nitro in the emulated version, but with them it ends up being okay. Just make sure to avoid collisions when you can, it's almost a certainty that you will have one.
I had a couple early on in the first lap, but once everyone spaced out then it eased up.
Munich is a fun track to play in this game, but having 7 laps can make it a real pain in the ass as far as fuel management is concerned. If you make too many mistakes and hit other cars, you may not have enough gas to make it in a timely way.
I managed to avoid some real close calls during the big cirular turn at the end of the lap, and that's really where things can get messy. Other than that, it was a good run.
This is my nemesis race. Kyoto may very well be the hardest race in the game (most certainly without Nitro) but with Nitro it certainly gives you a little bit of wiggle room. There are so many spots in here that are narrow and hectic when congested. Refueling is also a very tense situation as you may have to fuel twice if you make any mistakes.
I narrowly escaped this hellhole with some really lucky dodges during Nitro runs. My finger slipped during one turn but luckily there was no car there while I tried regaining my grip. In the end, it was interesting. But, I notched the win.
Yokohama might be one of the best "break-in-the-action" races in this game. The Japan section is among the most stressful, but this one provides a very easy and relaxing run. Very wide open and simple to tackle with the exception of a couple sharp corners.
In the very beginning, I had to make some quick dodges since you are greeted with a very steep slope. Other than that, it was smooth sailing!
I really enjoy Hiroshima, this is one of the few tracks in the game that experience a night/day cycle during the race. It's really cool to watch. Also, with the fact that it has five laps also creates an interesting challenge as to when you decide to use Nitro and re-fuel. I probably could have gone with one less bar during my refuel, my calculation was a little off.
I got fairly lucky during this race as it was, I nearly escaped multiple collisions in this race (at least three) during my Nitro runs so that was a real nail-biter.
Tokyo is a fantastic challenge in this game, extremely difficult to win even with the usage of Nitro. There really aren't any areas in the race in which you can gain high speeds, so the timing of your Nitro means EVERYTHING.
This was the first race in the game that actually required me to enter the Pit Stop twice. I made a really ballsy call on how much to refuel on the second time through and as you can see in the second photo, I was totally out of gas as I crossed the finish line. Also, as the third photo indicates... I BARELY won the race! Heading into the home stretch where you come around the big hairpin turn, I was still trailing Ritchie but I had enough speed built up that I finally overtook him within just about two seconds of hitting the line. It was as intense a race as I've had in years!
Rain Forest can be a very challenging track if certain areas are congested with rival cars. Otherwise, it's really not that bad. I managed to only have one collision, and it was right near the beginning so it didn't really hinder me that much at all.
I love this track, possibly my favorite in the game. It has a neat blend of hi-speed and flat little quick turns. Makes for some fun spots to use Nitro. It can be a bit tricky though when it comes to re-fueling. You have to pick the right time to do it and fill to the right amount to not waste time. I really made the perfect call on how much to fill with as I ran out of gas as I finished the race lol
Machu Picchu is an absolute terror to deal with when you're using Nitro. The track already has enough hi-speed areas with sharp turns all over the place, but when you're using Nitro it is almost a shot in the dark on if you're gonna hit another car or not. There are times in here where your car can be traveling nearly 300 km/h! I got lucky lucky lucky once again. Even I was surprised by that outcome.
Rio is quite the challenging track, one of the hardest in the game truthfully. There are so many sharp turns to deal with in here alongside trying to handle re-fueling. I started out a tad sloppy with a minor collision in the opening seconds, but after that I was good to go and was able to pull out a solid time with relative ease. I got lucky that it wasn't congested in the areas that I used my Nitros, because that could have really been ugly.
Nice time! I think I might have to challenge it when I get my SNES unpacked :)
I wish! I think that my favorite rival driver in the game has to be Siz. What a cool name.
San Francisco poses the first real challenge of the game in the fact that it requires you to use a Pit Stop, so timing your usage of Nitro is very important here.
Don't be fooled by the track picture, either. While it may look very pedestrian, there are a TON of hills and valleys in here paired up with little sharp turns. It can be very easy to foul up a run if you aren't careful. It's also the first track to include construction sign obstacles, so that adds another dimension of things to be wary of.
I actually got a bit lucky on this run. When I was in the Pit Stop area and my car was refueling, I was trying to gauge exactly how much I would need to hit the finish without wasting too much time and I literally ran out of gas as I was crossing the finish line. Probably a bit risky on my part, but it definitely paid off in terms of time management.
New York, while being the first track in the game that you encounter the "Night" environment, actually still provides an easy-going run. Fairly easy to spot rival cars in the distance but still a nice challenge coming down the stretch.
I was able to have yet another clean run, but it was close. I had a near collision with a car that was literally just pixels away from tarnishing a solid run.
Los Angeles is a particularly interesting track, it's not very difficult in nature but it does pose a challenge for Nitro Allowed Time Trials. Some tough turns at high speeds make it hard to dodge rival cars and that can really slow you down big time.
However, that was not an issue for me in this run. I was able to avoid contact with any cars, especially early on when all of them were still trying to gain separation. Solid run this time.
Finally getting around to doing the "Nitro Allowed" set of my Top Gear entries. Certainly gives this a new dimension of difficulty, as trying to keep control of your car while not hitting enemy cars and losing top speed can prove to be really difficult in later races.
Vegas is a very, very simple track. The timing for Nitro is key here. On this run, I managed to knock it out perfectly with only having to slow down more than I wanted to once. Very happy with this run. I will try to do better with my timing on finishes to display the place that I finish in since that will help support that I did indeed finish with the provided time. It's hard because the thing flashes rather quickly.
Same concept as the "Challenge" mode, but here, you are just operating against the clock. You can gain extra seconds if you perform perfect shots that don't touch the rim. Otherwise, the time will continue to drain. Tough game!
I really wish that the display for scores on the iOS scoreboard would display it as your actual username instead of "Me". Quite annoying actually.
This does indeed have a title screen displaying the name of the game, which I will upload if that helps out at all. But, it doesn't allow for a name entry screen for high scores, it just stores them in the iOS GameCenter scoreboard, unfortunately displaying the users own scores under "Me" instead of a chosen name.
Fun little game. You control a ball and navigate it through a maze as far as you can without touching any walls or obstacles. Quite challenging
Wowzers, that's impressive. On Windows XP!
Yeah, the ending was extremely underwhelming. I was hoping for a lot more out of it than what I got, but the gameplay was pretty solid at least!
One of my favorites growing up! Level 4 is where the real stress attack begins. So much stuff to worry about
Bottom photo shows that it was indeed on Normal, as I would never play this game on Hard lol. It's tough enough as it is.
Where I took the screenshot up there was right before you fight the final boss(es) in the game, and it is also the last time that your score is displayed before it disappears. For some reason, once the final boss fight begins, your score is no longer available. There is no points bonus for defeating the final boss, and the game also does not display your score at the end. So, where I took the picture is the last possible place you can take it. Tough, tough game. But, it's very fun!
Nice little challenge. I will tell you one thing, though... this will absolutely give you a headache after playing it a couple times consecutively. Those vector graphics, I tell you what.
Well that's good to know that the original hardware doesn't have that problem. Just goes to show you that emulation isn't always spot on!
Very interesting pinball game. Definitely not bad for it's time, but the hit detection can be a bit wonky at times. The bottom flippers are the best example of this, the ball could be right smack in the middle of the flipper but it will pass right through and your turn will be over.
Still fun though!
Good ol' Flipull! I wish I could find my copy of it. I lost it in a move when I was 12 :\
Before I submitted these, I was kinda surprised to see that there really weren't any GH scores at all here. Glad I was able to change it!
The device you have is just fine from what I've read. The A320 was far superior to the A380e in terms of stability and just functionality in general.
From personal experiences, I wouldn't waste the money on the A380e. Emulation for NES games is fine, but trying to play on virtually any other system caused numerous problems. Very unstable. There are plenty of good portable emulation systems though!
In the Home Run Derby, you are given 20 pitches to hit as many Home Runs as possible, and every hit that is in fair territory is calculated towards the Total Distance.
Score is listed under the "Top Hitters" section. Barry Bonds can slug the living bejesus out of the ball, man.
Not my best score ever, but it will certainly work for now. This had plenty of potential for being a pretty bad round, but I managed to salvage some clutch chip-ins (namely on Holes 18, 15 and 11) to keep myself on pace for a quality round.
Yeah, I noticed that I got a number of NO votes on these overnight. I really don't see the issue, I took the picture to show that it was on Expert mode, and the scores are all there in plain sight. It would be more suspicious looking if they were all 5 Star Gold scores that were insanely high or something.
I think that you should file this under "Android" seeing as you have a Samsung phone.
I think that I must have uploaded like 70 of them today lol
I think that this has to be the hardest song that I have ever finished. It's pretty close between this and "The Way It Ends" because they are both fucking nightmares. But, just the pace of this song, and some of the notes that they force you into are enough to drive a man insane.
Unlocked in Co-op mode or using the unlock all songs cheat.
Unlocked via Co-op mode or unlock all songs cheat.
Another song in the game that requires playing in Co-op mode or using the unlock all songs cheat.
I have no earthly idea how I managed to beat this song, let alone get a 4 star rating on it. It was actually the only time that I ever beat the song, I've only come close to completing it once since. I just happened to be on fire on one single run and it all came together lol
This is the other song in the game that I have successfully had a 100% FC on. Another fairly easy song to obtain this on.
I've managed to beat this song a couple of times, but it's usually pretty close each time around. Not the best score by any stretch.
Not a great score, I'm actually still wondering to this day how I managed to complete it. I only ever did it once, really rough song.
Another favorite of mine, and it's a really tough one. Great, great song though.
This is another song that can only be unlocked via playing in Co-op mode or using the cheat to unlock all songs. Tough song, lots of fun though. Matchbook Romance was a band that I listened to a lot in HS. #darktimes #emotimes
Sorry for posting the difficulty picture twice. Not sure why it did a double upload there.
Another one of my favorites. It doesn't have any lyrics, but it's one challenging son-of-a-gun. Numerous tempo changes, styles of notes and just a cool song in general. Also, great practice for learning "hammer on" notes.
This is another song in the game that is unlocked only through playing in Co-op mode, or using cheats to unlock all the songs.
This song sucks. That is all.
Yet another one of my favorite songs to play in the game. It's not a terribly hard song outside of a couple tricky sequences, but it's fun. This score (at the time that I recorded the score at least) was only about 7,000 points off of the World Record, but I could never successfully get a 100% FC on it.
This song is HARD. Most definitely in the Top 5 for hardest songs that I have completed in this game. The entire second half of the song is just total chaos, really cool song though. Probably one of the only songs that I liked from The Fall of Troy.
Personally, one of my favorite songs in the game to play. Kinda repetitive sometimes, but it's still enjoyable!
This was the very first song that I ever got a 100% FC (Full Clear) on, and at the time was only just a couple thousand points off of the World Record. It's considered to be the easiest song in the roster to obtain a 100% performance on, and that is why the stars on this particular song are gold instead of black.
Random completely necessary fact: Eric Johnson, the guy that composed Cliffs of Dover, is the uncle of my former co-worker. I always thought that was pretty cool.
This is a song that is unlocked only through playing the game in Co-op mode... or by using cheats to unlock all the songs
Definitely not one of my best songs as far as performances go. There are some segments with notes that I have trouble hitting in succession, but I will still take it.
I accidentally forgot to take a photograph of the menu screen in game where it verifies that the game is in fact in "Expert Mode" I will have to wait to upload that part of it later.
One thing that I love about this game is that they already have the respective high listed for each song on the track listing instead of having to play through the song in order to see the High Score list. It made this process a lot easier for me.
It really is a fun one! I actually prefer this version over the original. Not only do I think that the track designs are more creative, but having the ability to unlock new cars really gives it extra value. Not to mention that the soundtrack is spectacular!
I don't really know why they did it in this game, but instead of doing what they did in the original F-Zero on SNES where they labeled tracks like Death Wind I or Port Town II... they decided to go the route of giving every track weird descriptions like "Snake Circuit" or "Tightrope Circuit"
Really made it that much harder to understand! Lol
I saw that! My score isn't quite as good as yours, but I'm getting there :)
It's a great table, I love it!
Couldn't beat the existing High Score on this one, but it was a pretty good score anyways.
Another solid round for me today. I would say that this is probably the second easiest course in the game aside Desert Valley. I was actually SUPER close to getting a Hole in One on the 8th hole but I just barely missed it!
Great round for me here. I could have actually shaved another stroke off of this score, but on the 15th hole, I hit a rough spot on the green and I made the wrong adjustment and just barely missed it or I would have had myself a nice little 53.
I actually could have gotten this score to -20 if it hadn't been for the Par I got on the third hole. The slope was so steep and I didn't adjust it correctly and missed a 4 foot putt that would have gotten me there
Still very happy with it, though. I got 4 Eagles on this course!
Just played this round, so you can actually see my scorecard (as opposed to my scores submitted from my GBA where the scores were saved thus not providing scorecards) so it's easier to look at.
Pretty good round for me, really. I could have actually shaved another stroke or two off of this thing but I had a couple unfortunate holes there towards the end that needed some rather long Birdie putts and I couldn't quite hit them. However, the two consecutive Eagles that I got on holes 9 and 10 helped me out a ton! :)
These games are so addicting! Once I start playing, then I can't stop haha
It's awesome! I had the game on Dreamcast when I was younger, so I had a lot of practice. I wish that I hadn't sold my Dreamcast and all my games back then though, that Mars Matrix game is running for close to $100 now
Once I move again here in the next month or so and get my older PC set back up, I'm gonna dust off my Tiger Woods 99 course pack and maybe request some of those!
It is the Contra dudes!
Oh yeah, I have been playing Tiger Woods games since the late 90s :) I've always loved those games!
This is actually a pretty tough shooter, even on Easy. Great sound effects and music, had no idea that Kemco was responsible!
You have this listed incorrectly. This entry is under Level 138, but it's actually supposed to be Level 605.
The last of the regular courses in the game, with another course Par of 72. Best score of -19 comes out to another score of 53.
Par for the course runs at 72, and with a best score of -20, that would come out to a solid 52.
As per usual in this game, the Par for the course is 72. Best score of -15 would end up as a 57.
Par for the course is 72, and my score was -17 which would come out to 55.
Just in case your wondering about how to come up with the score, the Par for the course is 72. As indicated, my best score is -19, which would equate to 53.
I think it's miraculous that you could find a way to ease stress between enemies. There is so much chaos happening in the game most of the time, I was on edge nearly the entire time playing lol
But, maybe that's part of the problem lol
It was somewhere in the ballpark of like 136k. You totally pulverized it! Definitely the best score that I have ever seen for it.
Looks like my recent high score on that one didn't last long. Great score!
No kidding! He is a tough cookie, along with the boss from Blue Planet. The boss himself isn't that hard, but the race against time element makes it a nice challenge
My. Dear. God. This game is SO hard :( I had to play this for six hours to get to the third boss. It's just so much madness and chaos all hitting you at warp speed sometimes. I am absolutely happy with this, because I didn't even expect to get to the third boss even. I was down to one life at the beginning of the third stage so this was just a nice bonus. The section with the rail cars or whatever move SO fast that it's astonishing.
Well then I might have to challenge you and see if I can reclaim the title
Had a much, much better 3rd run using a different ship. I always forget how hard this game is, SO MANY BULLETS ON SCREEN!
A very strong improvement over my initial score, and I still have room for more improvement! But, I am very happy with this one
Oh yes, of course. It's interesting because the vs. SMB version of this game is different than the regular NES version. Much harder.
I beat the Reptyl (I think that was how you spell it) stage completely, and then I took on Possessor's stage and only got through a portion of it before dying.
Like I really need to mention it, this game is REALLY hard. So hard to continually mash the fire button without it starting to hurt.
However, the soundtrack of this game is actually really good, I've spent the last week trying to get a respectable score on this and so I've had the pleasure of listening to the first few stages worth of tunes, and they are solid.
Eh, it wasn't too bad. It was interesting that you could swap your ship with enemy ships and gain their abilities. But, there were weird parts where it would go too long without enemies. Music was pretty good!
I love Atari. What other system would have a game based on Tax Evasion?
This game really has a cool concept going. Utilizes the side-scrolling shmup style but then there are also vertical scrolling levels as well, really gives it another dimension!
Yes it is! It has a particularly whimsical nature to it, killing zombies with giant leaves and eating sushi haha
Man, this game is TOUGH. The game is really fun though :)
Very strange game, it would have been nice if the size of the characters and enemies were so large!
I live through my childhood a lot, it was a much more enjoyable time!
Nifty little brick-breaker game that takes a first-person approach!
Neat little platformer game, and it was made by John Romero!
Always like the Deluxe version better than the original. Polished graphics, presentation just looks better in general, reminds me of grade school.
Seems like every time that I get around Level 34-35, that's where I end up losing. Totally had a brain fart there!
2nd picture to verify difficulty. I totally could have gotten an extra few levels out of this score, but my finger slipped and I went to the wrong number!
Second photo down there is to verify the difficulty level. It's surprising how tricky Factors can get while having to think of them on the fly!
Tell me about it!
Yep! It's very responsive, runs great.
I apologize for the small picture, but the score is at least visible. I love this game, one of the better "brick breaker" games that I have ever played. Lots and lots of different powerups (and powerdowns as well) with some cool level designs.
Played on my JXD s7800b gaming tablet. In my opinion, this is the best version of the game that I've played so far. Certainly better than the Sega Master System version!
Oh yeah, this one really takes me back. I used to rock Number Munchers in the computer lab in grade school
Forgot to make the little note on the side of the photo, I played this at InternetArchive. This game is interesting, nothing too special really, just a par-for-the-course top-down shooter.
Yeah! It's totally there, it actually plays pretty well despite having some glitchy audio. I remember playing a clone of it on my old Compaq Presario back in grade school called Aquanoid, it was actually pretty fun!
I think that it's probably still at Ground Kontrol, I saw it there well before PRGE.
It's definitely not a game that I can spend a lot of time playing. It gets frustrating really quickly! Especially when doing The Wall, that one gets to me the most.
Definitely not as good as the SNES adaptation by a long shot, but it's a solid challenge. Getting used to The Wall, Human Cannonball and Joust take some getting used to, the other two events aren't all that bad though.
That is indeed a 4 in the score there, so you will have to re-submit. Good score though!
It does! I've never seen such power in a tablet!
Played on a website with a built-in DosBox emulator. This picture ended up being a little smaller than I wanted, but at least the score is visible.
Blazing Star might take it for me. The controls and crisp and responsive, all of the ship models and enemies are cool, the boss fights are fun and that soundtrack is just beautiful.
There were a number of goodies from that time period though!
That's what makes them enjoyable, especially given how many of them there are! I like that they weren't afraid to insert different angles and different ideas into their games instead of just following the popular formula.
Couple tips that could help you a lot if you decide to improve your score:
Utilize your "charge" shots as often as you can when there are a lot of enemies on screen. Blazing Star plays around a lot with score multipliers, so when you use charged shots in high traffic areas, you can really increase your score drastically. Also makes a big difference in those boss fights. Also, if you tap the fire button fairly quickly, you can get a more powerful stream of your ship's bullets. Comes in handy in some tight spots
It was actually pretty fun. This was my first time sitting down and playing it.
For me, when I was growing up, one of my good friends had Gradius III on SNES and we would spend hours trying to beat the game. It was a good challenge and we definitely got our moneys worth out of it. I also think that Gradius III has one of the best soundtracks in the SNES library, so that influences my opinion a fair amount as well.
However, I do enjoy some of the faster-paced shooters like Mars Matrix, Einhander and Strikers 1945. A lot of it just depends on my mood at the time!
I've always been a Gradius guy, but this was certainly an enjoyable challenge. As far as the listing goes, that is definitely the official full name of the game.
It's a great game! Some of the levels get ruthless though, especially the high speed ones lol
Nice score! This is a cool little game, I picked it up at a game shop a few months back. Controls really well and has a really nice soundtrack. I might have to see if I can beat your score!
I will have to challenge this once I finished getting moved into my new house. Captain Skyhawk is one of my all-time favorites!
Snapped the photo just as I took my final death. Tough game, the controls are a little bit tough to get used to, but it's a fun game!
Ah yes, the good ol' Pauline Edition. I think an arcade in Portland was the first place in the world to have a cabinet of the game.
Understandable to a point, I suppose. I'm just not very fond of doing video entries because it totally reveals your score tactics!
Finally, someone that actually played through the entire game. All of the other entries that I've ever seen for this game all used exploits to finish the game in less than 5 minutes.
I commend you. It's a long game!
I wish I was this good at the actual arcade cabinet version! I can only get up to about 34-36k on that one before it starts getting too crazy lol
Ah, that's weird! So, did the PC Engine CD version have proper dialogue in it?
All your base are belong to us!
This game is TOUGH! Very much like Gradius, if you die then you are in DEEP trouble.
I decided to take the snapshot here because I'm not sure if the game displays the high score when you die and I wasn't confident in my ability to finish the "Cyber Run" area on my last life.
What's the issue here? Why am I getting so many "No" votes on this?
What a strange game.
Snapped this picture after I suffered my first death. I always forget how hard this game is.
Lots and lots of coins spent and numerous sore hands! A real button mashers' delight!
This game is tough! It's hard enough having to deal with enemies in the air, but on the ground too?! Yikes.
Apparently, they combine the high scores together regardless of what difficulty it was on.
Second photo is just there to show you that it was on Easy Difficulty.
Oh yeah, I tried it on a keyboard and that is definitely not the way to go! Lol
NIce score! You barely edged me
The crazy thing is that I didn't even get through the second level! I'm gonna have to hone my skills some more. I used to be pretty good at the Dreamcast port of this, but this is much harder than that one!
Been awhile since I've played this game. I love bullet hell shooters (sometimes)
This game has a wonderful soundtrack and smooth gameplay, one that everyone can enjoy!
I might have to give it a try! I'll see if I can get a ROM file that works properly and I'll give you a nice challenge
I absolutely LOVE this game. I owned it on the Dreamcast a long time ago but then I lost it... only to find out that they are going for nearly $100.
Fantastic soundtrack, great graphics and gameplay that's smooth as silk. Good score as well, it gets really tough after Stage 1 lol
Most certainly one of the best scores that I have posted in Pinball Arcade in a little while!
Took this photo after I finally lost a race. Not used to playing this version, I've really only played the Arcade version and the NES port so it was a little tough to get used to.
Second picture verifies game difficulty. Took me a few tries to understand the game mechanics and to figure out that the game runs on a timer. Fun little game though!
Second picture is to verify the difficulty level. This game is actually really hard to play without using an authentic Atari paddle!
It's just a bunch of senseless walking around. If they had an in-game map, then it actually could have been a pretty cool game!
I really enjoy Pinball Arcade, I've gotten to play on a lot of tables that I would otherwise never have access to and it helps me hone my skills a little bit since I'm still a novice (more or less)
I really like it! The layout of everything is really cool and I love the different missions that you can do. Certainly one of my favorite tables, but my arcade just replaced it with something else recently
Was this one of those games that was for the Famicom Disk System?
The arcade version is definitely the best, I love it. They do seem to be fairly hard to find these days though. I just enjoy how smooth the steering for the car is, it kinda reminds me of how Pole Position handles.
Certainly not the best score in the world, but I will take it. I've always struggled playing the arcade versions of Street Fighter games, they're hard! Cammy did me dirty in this fight lol
There is one thing that I loathe about the vs. Duck Hunt cabinet. Unless your score is good enough to make it on the Top 5 scores list, it won't display it for longer than about 5 seconds after your game is over so you have to be lightning quick with getting photo evidence.
This was actually my second attempt at the game after I couldn't get a picture of my first run... which was a bummer because my first score was actually a little bit better (approx. 342,000)
Overall, though, I'm satisfied with this score. Not the best one on the cabinet since the guy that owns the high score is crazy good, but I'll take it!
I could have done a little better with this one, it was my last quarter of the night but there was something wrong with the joystick so I had to make due while I was at it. I'll improve on this one a little later!
My best run yet! I can definitely improve on it still, but I did manage to set the record on the 100m dash and the 110m hurdles on this machine in the process
First time ever playing on this table, found it at a bar downtown. It has a pretty strange layout, but I really love the Stewie Pinball minigame that you can kinda see in the top right corner of the table!
I've always really enjoyed Roadblasters. Really cool driving/shooter hybrid!
Great score, Larquey!
I wish that the high score wasn't in red text, because it makes it hard to read. But, it was as good as I could get it.
This game is really bad. Unless I really missed something major, there is just no sense of direction of objective at all. You just run around randomly and shoot people. I found an item at complete random, but it didn't tell me what it was for or what I was supposed to do with it... It was just a weird experience altogether.
Surprisingly a pretty good port of the Arcade version. Controls handle pretty well and the graphics look pretty good. Still a pretty tough game though!
For the first time in a long time, I finally got a run of this track where I didn't wreck.
Pretty fun game, it definitely gets tough in the latter stages (especially when you get to the final battle where you destroy the Death Star for the second time)
My new personal best! Still plenty of room for improvement, but I am really happy with this one! :)
Yeah, Scramble is a strange game. It's really just a matter of button mashing (seemingly)
It has a strange level of allure though, and I can't put my finger on it as to why that is!
Tough little game, some of the game mechanics are a little screwy. But, at least it's not the worst platformer that I've played! The music is pretty awful though lol
I absolutely despise this table.
I never got Wii Motion Plus so I haven't been able to play the Wii Sports Resort one. Was it any good?
Not a big fan of this table at all. I'll go back someday and get a better score, but God I just hate it lol
Far and away my best run on this table ever! This one has always given me a hard time, but I finally put together a good outing on it for a change. I'm happy with it.
My score sits at #2 on the list there. Room for improvement for sure, but it was alright.
It's really fun! It gets so hard later on in the game if you're playing alone though!
Not as high as the record on the site, but I did set the record on the table at my local arcade, so I was excited for that :)
Awesome! Thanks for the tip! I totally forgot that you only live about an hour down the road from where I'm at lol xD
I will definitely have to float around on Craigslist and see if there is anything good, that's totally how I got my Atari 2600 earlier this year. Maybe I can strike gold again!
As a guy who has posted a lot of time trial entries on this site, I can tell you that any time that an entry ends with with something like .50, it automatically drops the zero.
Haha, what a cool name for a game.
I wish that there was a place nearby where I could get some games for it when I buy one. But, I think that I will probably have to rely on the internet for that
I'm considering buying a Master System in the near future!
I always forget how hard the arcade version of this is in comparison to the SNES port! I had a rough time playing alone!
Fun game, good thing it was on Free Play last night for Halloween. I got lots of playing in!
I'm sure that they can. But, TAS isn't my style. Racing games were the biggest part of my childhood, so I've been playing them for as long as they have been out. I've just tried to perfect my craft is all. I am sure that if someone was doing TAS runs on a Rush game, they would be able to achieve times that are half of what I have been submitting.
Thanks! I'm going to try and improve my score on this soon anyways, so I will get an entry with a better photo!
For some reason, this photo came out REALLY blurry But at least the score is still legible for the most part.
The first photo is there to prove identification of the track, and the second shows the actual race result. No secret cars were used during this run, as the "Compact" car is one of the regular cars in the game. Crash is another track that is really tough. It's one of those races where once you get it down, it's not so bad, but there are two sections early that can really throw you off and ruin your run if you're not careful.
I went back and re-did this run and I was able to do much, much better in the key areas that cause so much trouble and was able to shave off a couple of seconds!
The first photo is there to prove identification of the track, and the second shows the actual race result. No secret cars were used during this run, as the "Coupe" car is one of the regular cars in the game. Half-Pipe is a TOUGH track, so you better be comfortable with the car that you're using because one small mistake can spell certain doom.
I actually re-did this entry with a different car and it paid dividends. This car has a little better top end speed but the handling isn't as good so I had to be extra careful. I almost totally messed up the run when I went through one of the dark tunnels and lost track of my position, causing my car to do a barrel roll in the air. Thankfully, I landed it and was able to keep going without really losing too much speed... lucky me!
The first photo is there to prove identification of the track, and the second shows the actual race result. No secret cars were used during this run, as the "Compact" car is one of the regular cars in the game. Stunt isn't like the rest of the tracks in the game. There are no rival cars, just you in a giant warehouse full of ramps and things to do stunts on. Try to do the wildest things that you can and you get points for what you land. 5 minutes, and the run is over.
I forgot how hard this can be at times to get good combos going and which ramps and items are the best for accruing points. But, I managed to get a couple solid tricks in there. I can probably still improve on this score, but it will do for now :)
I know that I got third place in this run, but I'm totally okay with that. I didn't take any deaths during this and for the most part, it was a pretty clean run. As I said, the AI in these specialty tracks are really good, so it's not as easy to win.
The first photo is there to prove identification of the track, and the second shows the actual race result. No secret cars were used during this run, as the "Compact" car is one of the regular cars in the game. Half-Pipe is a TOUGH track, it's all about position when you are taking turns otherwise you're going to have a long day in there as far as the amount of deaths you build up. Also... the AI in the specialty tracks (Half-Pipe, Pipe and Crash) are strangely much better than they are in the normal races. So, winning is a tough task.
This was probably the best that I have done here in a long time. I have won this race before, but it's never easy. I made a couple mistakes on the third lap that forced me to lose some position on the car that was in first that probably kept me from overtaking him since I was gaining on him early in the lap. But, I will gladly take what I got from this one. It's a rough race.
The first photo is there to prove identification of the track, and the second shows the actual race result. No secret cars were used during this run, as the "Compact" car is one of the regular cars in the game. Seattle is a fairly easy track to deal with, there are only a couple of segments that can be tricky, of which they mainly come towards the end of the race.
This was a pretty good run for me, although I surrendered one death during the second lap. But, I didn't necessarily lose too much time out of it. It was a good run for me as you can by the margin of victory!
Fun little game, took this snapshot right as I delivered the killing blow to the final boss.
The first photo is there to prove identification of the track, and the second shows the actual race result. No secret cars were used during this run, as the "Compact" car is one of the regular cars in the game. Hawaii is a track that can be very difficult in certain areas, so hopefully you are comfortable with your selected car.
Realistically... I probably should have died like 5 or 6 times on this run. I narrowly escaped certain death at least once or twice per lap, but I managed to end up having a clean run.
The first photo is there to prove identification of the track, and the second shows the actual race result. No secret cars were used during this run, as the "Compact" car is one of the regular cars in the game. WARNING: You can only race on the Midway track if you have completed "Circuit" mode. Midway is one of the coolest tracks in the game, the race track is built around the Midway Game office building, so there are banners for Midway games and arcade cabinets everywhere. Really cool to look at. As far as the track is concerned, it's a lot of fun! But, it requires A LOT of quick thinking because there are some wild turns that require solid execution or you're going to blow your car up.
This was probably one of the best runs that I have ever had on this track, everything went just as I was hoping for and as you can see on the minimap... my margin of victory was rather substantial.
The first photo is there to prove identification of the track, and the second shows the actual race result. No secret cars were used during this run, as the "Compact" car is one of the regular cars in the game. The Uptown track is much, much harder than its counterpart. The track is much longer, with a great deal more in the category of tricky, tight turns. Make sure that you have a car that you are comfortable with, or it's going to get ugly.
For me, I had a bit of an iffy first lap and I made a small mistake in one of the hairpin turns. After I corrected that, I had a clean run of the level and it ended up being pretty good.
The first photo is there to prove identification of the track, and the second shows the actual race result. No secret cars were used during this run, as the "Compact" car is one of the regular cars in the game. The Downtown section of New York is certainly easier than the Uptown area, but it still offers some challenges. There are a couple interesting options for shortcuts that can get you into trouble if you execute them cleanly.
I had a nice, clean run on this one. Everything just went smoothly, very satisfied.
The first photo is there to prove identification of the track, and the second shows the actual race result. No secret cars were used during this run, as the "Compact" car is one of the regular cars in the game. Los Angeles is one of the harder tracks in the game, lots of wild turns and jumps that can really mess you up. Be prepared!
This run had some tough spots for me, one spot in particular. There is a jump right near the beginning that almost caused my car to explode twice but I was lucky enough to avoid it, but not without losing a couple of seconds in the process. It was still good overall though.
The first photo is there to prove identification of the track, and the second shows the actual race result. No secret cars were used during this run, as the "Compact" car is one of the regular cars in the game. Alcatraz can be a fairly tough race at times as everything is narrow with a lot of curves and there are a lot of hills with high speed areas involved. Having the right selected makes all the difference here!
This was another solid run for me, When playing the emulated version, the controls are a bit touchy, so some of these sharp turns can be tricky. But, I was able to string together a good run without really making any mistakes.
The first photo is there to prove identification of the track, and the second shows the actual race result. No secret cars were used during this run, as the "Compact" car is one of the regular cars in the game. Vegas is considered to be the easiest track in the game, as there aren't many obstacles or sharp turns to deal with, it's very straight-forward. Great for beginners!
This was a pretty clean run for me, I made a small mistake on the third lap that added another couple of seconds on my time, but it wasn't catastrophic or anything.
I put that second picture there just to verify that the game is as advertised. Facebook games are weird about posting names in games sometimes so I just added mine in the graphic there. It's a fun little game though.
Had to take this snapshot right as I took my last death because they don't display your score afterwards. This is a fantastic game! Really great soundtrack, great visuals, the controls are nice and smooth. It's a tough game though!
That's a fun little game! It's pretty tough though!
It's a very... interesting take on how Home Alone 2 went down. Must have been the deleted scenes
The first picture is the snapshot that I took directly before taking my final hit that killed me, mid-boss fight. The second picture is the pause menu to show the score because the game doesn't display the score anywhere else for some reason.
Not quite good enough to beat the top score here, but it's my personal best so far. So, I am proud of it :)
Kinda. ST Falcon and Tornado are the different robots that you choose to pilot. They have different play styles in general, mainly in the way that they attack. The ST Falcon does less damage with its weapon, but has better defense, whereas the ST Tornado has lower defense but higher offensive firepower.
It's a fantastic game, I've always enjoyed it. There are multiple difficulty levels to play at in Time Trial mode as well, and a secret mode called Real Mode that's also harder. So, there are always new ways to play.
As far as the add-on goes, I use ZSNES. So, in the "Input" section where you would adjust your key bindings and such, they have an area for Add-ons. In there, you can select the Super Scope. Once you select it, then an aiming reticle will show up on the screen and you use the mouse to control it. Works very well!
The ST Falcon is the obvious choice for beginners. Better defense than the ST Tornado that you unlock after beating the Battle Game the first time. It doesn't do the same volume of damage that the Tornado can do, but it's still a solid one to use.
One of my favorite games ever :) Keep in mind, if you are going to play it on an emulator, you need to enable the Super Scope add-on otherwise it won't work. Certainly a fun challenge, and no two playthroughs are necessarily identical. You fight all of the same opponents, but the special weapons that you are awarded are at random I believe so that's the main variable.
I have used Emuparadise, CoolRom, RomHustler and RomNation for years now. They are always a good place to go. I think that all of them supply emulators as well.
I've never gotten a virus from downloading emulators & roms. Just make sure you are a using a good site.
Holy smokes, fantastic score! Definitely way above what I will ever achieve on it, that's for sure lol
Mainly, I numbered the tracks like that because of the fact that it's the second instance in the game that this track name shows up.
Solid score! I think that I can challenge this one. Tough game, too!
It definitely took me quite awhile. I sat down one night and took a solid four or five attempts at it, probably around a combined couple two or three hours I think.
I think that it might be my favorite F-Zero game. It's fantastic! Much larger selection of cars (mostly unlockables), great tracks and music! A must play for anyone that likes the series.
Played on my JXD s7800b gaming tablet. Just a standard clear of the game, no point farming, all exits complete. The reason that I took a snapshot here instead of after defeating Bowser is that in the SNES version, the score counter disappears after you enter the final boss door, so this is the last time that your score is visible.
I like it really well, probably a better version overall. Everything is much smoother in general!
Much better! I loved this game growing up, the controls are smooth and it's just a cool game to play!
Haha it's not great, but it's kinda fun! I like the fact that they replaced the bricks with bacon, pancakes and eggs!
Fun game, gets tough pretty easily though. Have to take quick snapshots, because it doesn't display high scores after you die.
I know the lighting was pretty crappy. I guess that's part of the consequence of playing at 3 in the morning!
There I am, right down there on the bottom ;)
It was REALLY close to yours, so I'll bet you could take me down!
You're welcome! If you're looking to buy one, might I suggest GeekBuying.com
That's where I got mine from, the price is good and they are a good quality company. No problems with them whatsoever :)
This tablet is great! Vastly exceeded my expectations going in. The D-Pad is crisp and responsive, the buttons all work well, the frame is sturdy and all of the emulators have worked well (aside the Dreamcast one, but I think that was a faulty rom instead of the emulator itself) The screen is also nice, bright and clear! Good sound quality as well.
Not to mention that it's actually really affordable considering how powerful it is. One of the best purchases that I have made recently.
Wow! Fantastic score! That's the best that I've ever seen that I can recall.
Thanks :) For me, I use Fraps for basically all of my game footage, and that works with virtually all emulators that I have tried. The files are rather large, but once you render them then it's not so bad.
You have to take snapshots SO quickly with this because it goes to the "Game Over" screen immensely fast. Took this snapshot right as I took my last death by getting punched by the wall lol
It appears that the only way to see your score is if you pause the game. So, I took these two snapshots right before I died so that you could see it.
It's actually pretty much the same... it's just that the NES version has reeeeeeeeeally bad graphics. This one is much more polished and just plays better in general.
Fire as quickly as possible! It also doesn't hurt to actually stay in one place. Moving around can actually make it more difficult.
This game is unfriendly in the worst of ways sometimes. Very, very difficult.
The biggest obstacle is dealing with that level with the ramps and the waterfalls. I hate that level so much!
The level that I died on is ABSOLUTE HELL. Glaciers just come rocketing out of the water and there is such minimal time to react to them. I lost 4 lives in that level alone! Haha. Overall, though, probably one of my best runs to date.
I love this game! I'll have to submit a score here pretty soon :)
Ken and Ryu (go figure) are the only characters that I am decent with. I think that one of these days I might branch out and try honing my skills with someone else.
I need to get my DC fixed so that I can do more entries for this!
It's really tough! But, that's just another example of good ol' NES programming.
No kidding! He is WAY harder in this version than he is in SFII Turbo. It's not even close!
Holy crap... Bison is such an asshole. Completely relentless with his flying somersault kick thing that he does, but I got supremely lucky with a couple of well-timed shoryukens and that saved my ass.
Yeah. My username should be FosterAMF, try looking for me.
Where did you get yours from?
Maybe I will try that out then! Thanks! :D
That game looks awesome! I might have to spend the $9.99 to get it on Steam.
Oh, I'm sure that this game is certainly older. It's just purely coincidental, but that was the first thing that I thought of when I saw it lol
For some reason, the character's face kinda reminds me of a robot master from Mega Man.
That Minotaur boss is the one that really gives me the biggest issue. Oh well, I'm still happy with my score. This game is tough!
The picture of the screen is really good, but I hate that it makes just about everything else pitch black lol It makes it hard to read my little paper with my name on it to verift that it's me ;)
I know that it's a little dark, my iPhone camera really dims out the surrounding stuff when it focuses on a TV screen...
That's just the pause menu. The rest of the game is pretty standard for NES. It's quirky and fun, but holy crap it's hard!
I had to make a little edit to put my name there because this game doesn't allow you to enter your initials for high scores. I am THRILLED with that run though! I got really lucky a couple of times with enemy placement and just getting shots off at the perfect time.
This game is one tough cookie. I took this snapshot after I died, this game only gives you one life, so you have to make the best of it!
Snapshot taken right as I defeated the final boss in the game which (fantastically, by the way) is the evil furnace from the movie! Fantastic game, one of my favorite games from my childhood.
Finally! I've been gunning at this thing for a long time and I finally managed to get it.
Just wanted to give you guys a full look at the track, since I am going to be posting a lot of these. The emulated version is actually quite different (and more difficult) than the physical cartridge version. There is a difference in how the cars consume gas. No clue why, but it essentially makes the game totally different in a sense. The purpose of the 2nd photo is to reinforce that indeed No Nitro was used, as they start you with 3 for each race.
Another very easy race, certainly much less stressful to deal with since the fuel consumption in the console version is much more relaxed.
Pretty run of the mill race. I could have done a little better in select areas, but I was pretty satisfied with it in general.
This entry was total crap on all accounts, lol. Not only could I not go longer than 10 seconds without hitting something, I couldn't even capture a photo at the end of the race because my camera wouldn't focus. I am definitely going to re-submit a score for this later on.
This entry right here is the definitive evidence that there is a pretty drastic difference that you will experience between the emulated version and the console version. My entry on the emulated version of this stage (which was virtually identical to the quality of this run) was 5:46.80 which is nearly 20 seconds longer than this one. The reasoning for that is because of the fuel consumption. The console version only requires one re-fueling whereas the emulated version requires two. Totally makes the experience different.
There is a certain sequence of turns early on in this stage that I have always had an issue with in terms of mastering how to approach it and maintaining maximum speed. But, I think that I found out how to make it work, so I had myself a pretty good run as far as that's concerned.
This track has a couple of wacky turns that really ruin your ability to have consistent speed in this track, but it's still a pretty easy one overall.
I love this race. Very open and easy to just cruise and pick up lots of speed. The biggest thing is knowing how much fuel to reload when the time comes.
Pretty solid run by my standards, even though the rival car managed to beat me. It's hard to win this race sometimes, because at the end (unless the rival has been in some collisions and is behind) he will usually slide by you towards the end.
I'm gonna have to try and see if I can top it, but that's a pretty high mark! It may take me awhile
Great score, Larquey! Looks like I have some work to do to catch up to you!
So proud of this score! I finally was able to get through my two arch nemesis levels (5-2 and 8-3) to beat the game. I am on Cloud 9 right now!
This race is usually a fair challenge, but the rival car kept crashing and allowing me to keep a good amount of space between us. So, it became a lot easier.
This was one of my better runs of this level. I still could have improved it with some better turn execution, but it was really very good since the rival car was never in contention with me to throw off my rhythm.
Every once in awhile, the drone car AI is just randomly much better than normal, and they will give you one hell of a race. That's what happened here, thus why I got 2nd place instead of 1st like I normally get. I actually had the chance to pass him at the very end but I had to perform a tricky dodge to pull off the pass and I ended up hitting him at the last second to botch it... Oh well, it was still a pretty good run nonetheless.
This was one of the craziest finishes to a race that I have ever had! Coming around the final turn, he was going like 1 or 2 kph faster than me and I was trying to stave him off as the finish line approached, and as we hit the line, we were literally side by side, which has basically never happened to me before. I actually thought that he barely passed me, but it looks that I BARELY held him off. I wish I would have done a video for it. Super cool!
Yeah! It's one of those things where you see it and you're like "Ah! Come on! What am I supposed to do about that?"
There was only one small thing in this run that bugged me. On the last lap, there was a moment where two computer cars actually formed a wall that I had no choice but to run into. So, it was a minor setback... but overall it was a good run.
Nothing too special about this run. It was clean like I was looking for and everything went pretty run of the mill. I am happy with it
This run went swimmingly! The strange thing here is, I actually pulled off the tricky block on the rival player that I needed to get the win that I couldn't do in the emulated version run, but I still had a slower time by 2 seconds! Bah, it was still a good one anyways
This race went over pretty well. I could have probably shaved a few extra seconds off on the final lap but I went for a pretty risky dodge and it failed. Yet, it was solid.
You have an issue with my tactics? Well... here are my tactics. I turned the game on, and I played it. I got the score that I desired, and I posted it. Is that good enough for you, Mr./Mrs. Mystery Person?
Great score! You almost had me there
To me, it's a little bit of both. Nitros, while a awesome boost that can get you out of a jam, it can also cause a lot of problems because it's really hard to perform sharp turns and avoid collisions when using them. You really have to have fast reflexes and a great grasp of the track to master the usage. So, I think that not using Nitros does make the game easier in a way. But, there are some races that are incredibly hard to win unless you use them, so it's quite the challenge.
I deeply apologize for this one not having the "just finished the race" photo like I do on the others for this one. For some reason, my phone camera just had a really hard time focusing on the screen and I couldn't get a clear shot before the screen went away. Even the "Post Race" screen photo is pretty dim. So, I apologize for that!
Truthfully, this run was total garbage. I plan on going back and doing this on again soon because I probably collided with other cars nearly 10 times or more. It was just an all-fired mess on all accounts.
Pretty solid run overall, I could have done better in some of the crazy hairpin turns that are littered everywhere on this course, but it was alright.
Could have had a cleaner race, but this was pretty serviceable. I had a lot of dodging to do in comparison to the run that I did on the emulated version.
That's possible, I'm not sure though.
This game is TOUGH after you get to Stage 3.
Do they really? Haha, oh Rush! You and your faulty in-game clocks
I don't know why it is in this game, but the "Fast Times" section of this game only will display your fastest lap on the leaderboard and not course time. So, I showed this screen for you guys to see that with the lap times added together, you will get my time.
Also, for the anonymous comment "having a problem with the tactics I used to get this score", if you can simply get to Level 4, you will have a score very similar to this. It's not that difficult. There was no point farming involved, simple as that.
God, I just hate this level... so much. I was on my way to possibly my best run ever and then the rival car came up behind me on a fucking maniacal tear and forced me into a barrel which slowed me down and caused me to get 2nd place.
Oops... that comment was for the wrong level haha This level was actually very easy. I avoided virtually everything for a clean, perfect run. Quite the opposite of what I just typed!
This track is pretty short, and also one of the only tracks to have 5 laps. This was one of my personal best runs, would have been perfect if it weren't for one lone collision on the last lap.
Fairly easy race, the fact that it's 7 laps can be fairly problematic for re-fueling since it's hard to gauge how much to give yourself. But, a pretty clean run.
Made it to Level 4, but that has always been where things get really ugly for me. Definitely happy with my score though :)
The only time that this game displays your score is after a level apparently. So, I died during a boss battle and took this snapshot after I beat the boss. I would have waited for the time to run out during the "Continue" part, but it shows up on the bottom of the screen SO quickly that you don't even notice it because your button mashing will almost guarantee that you accidentally use a continue like I did lol
This game reminds me of Gun-Nac for NES. Pretty fun, but if you die then you are SCREWED!
Those are some extremely random parameters for a score lol
It took me YEARS to figure out the best way to get through Zone 3's constant madness. Now, I am to the point where I can usually get to Zone 5 fairly regularly, but that's where it really starts to get ugly!
The Endurance Mode and Solo Mode are more tolerable, but this one is just crazy tough!
In case you are wondering how I came up with a 37 point 3rd quarter, I forced a Safety, thus adding an extra two points.
This one is basically the Endurance courses but without enemies. Just you against the elements.
Endurance Mode is really the only one that I am any good at, but it really starts to jump in difficulty pretty quickly.
The only thing that needs to be said about Mach Rider, is that it is HARD!
First time playing this one, it's pretty tough! But, I think that with some practice, I might be able to dethrone the top score :)
This race has a couple of very tough turns that very almost certain "run ruiners" in which there was a sharp turn heavily populated with cars and road signs that while passing them, I almost collided with a sign but I barely squeaked past and avoided the cars too!
A personal favorite of mine, this track is fairly easy with the exception of the big dip at the beginning. If there are other cars in there when you plunge, it can be hard to avoid collisions. But, I was able to have another great run and win by a sizeable margin!
This track gets a little tough because of the high amount of turning, potentially makes for a lot of collisions. But, after only taking one, I had another solid run of this stage
This race is particularly tough, but with the improved gas efficiency in the console game, this becomes much easier to handle. I was able to avoid some near collisions and end up with a solid, solid run on a very hard track.
Emulated? This looks like it's on a regular console to me
I wanted so badly to get to 1,000 yards, but I just couldn't quite get there. It's a tough task!
I am actually fairly surprised that I scored more points in Level 2 than I did in Level 1. But, I had a couple of lucky forced turnovers that helped me out!
Played on the ol' GBA SP. One of my favorite games growing up!
It's kinda hard to get clear pictures with the came that I am using for some reason. But, this was the best that I could do. The first photo is to show that it is indeed in Normal Mode on Level 2 and then the other shows the score.
Had to re-submit this one since I uploaded the wrong photos by accident. This is the first race that features the usage of Pit Stops. Another instance in which there can be some tricky dodges from blind spots but if you are careful... everything should be easy peezy.
Oops! I uploaded the wrong photos for this score. I'll change it!
This is the first race that features the usage of Pit Stops. Another instance in which there can be some tricky dodges from blind spots but if you are careful... everything should be easy peezy.
This race can be a little bit of a pain in the ass towards the end because cars can appear in your blind spot and ruin you if you aren't paying attention. But, other than that... it's fairly simple as well.
Another fairly easy race, there were a couple of tricky dodges in the beginning when cars were still getting established but it was a pretty simple experience.
Pretty simple first race, not really any obstacles to deal with other than some cars getting in the way, but I avoided all collisions and was able to get about as good of a run as you can have without Nitro usage.
I might be able to improve on this a little. I was playing this while I was rendering a video for YouTube and it made the gameplay a little choppy. So, maybe I will try to up the ante a little ;)
It's a fairly tough game. The level that you died in definitely has the hardest boss in the game. Slash is a real jackass. Took me a long time to be able to get a solid run without losing all of my lives on his stage.
Open up the emulator, go to "Config" then "Video". Select the top "Configure" one since there are two different ones. And then you will want to change the setting on the top left from Fullscreen mode to Windowed. From there, you can adjust all sorts of things like the resolution and frame limiting and such.
Perhaps this might be of more help then, I suppose.
It's a fairly easy thing, really.
With that link, you can download the newest client available that comes with the BIOS file. You can open the emulator and it will run the inital setup. Just follow the directions that it gives on which plugins to use and you should be good to go! Then, it's just a matter of finding the .iso files on rom warehouse sites.
Couldn't quite get through the end of Stage 3.
I apologize for the photo being kinda blurry. People were commenting that my submission for my previous Sky Force score wasn't believable because it was just a screenshot. So, I used the only camera that I had available on my gaming tablet and took a photo of my phone instead. It's not very easy to read all of the other details, but I guess as long as you can read the score then that's what matters.
To the person that used the anonymous comment "I don't trust in emulators." You might as well just skip voting on emulated scores then, because voting "No" on every emulated score because you don't trust emulation is rather unfair.
I think that some people are failing to understand that this submission is a score in which you start from Level 1 and go forward from there, it's not a score from just completing Level 1 lol
I've seen a lot of submissions here for the Atari Lock n' Chase, but I've not played any of the other versions before. Actually, this score submission was the first time that I've ever played :)
RoadBlasters is one of my all-time faves :) I used to play the arcade version all the time at the Izzy's in Salem when I was little
Then you should request that they add it and wait until it's available because this is filed in the wrong place.
Played on my JXD s7800b. This game is significantly easier than the Genesis port, but it's a fun one :)
There is definitely a category for Virtual Console: SNES
It's actually very good! Surprising for a machine like this, considering how much power its got under the hood.
Just based off of where this screenshot was taken in the game, I can be positive that point farming was fully evident. There are infinitely spawning enemies on this screen.
Forgive me for apparently adding two of the same photo. My bad. If you are having an issue seeing the score, you can right-click and open the image in a new tab. Becomes much easier to see.
I noticed that this wasn't in the score list anywhere, although I could have sworn that I had uploaded it before. So... I guess I am re-submitting it. Since it was one of my earlier entries, I didn't have any identification on it the first time that I uploaded it, so I added some text to it to help out a little.
The first photo was provided to show that I was indeed playing the level on Normal since the screen after you finish the level doesn't include that info. Fun little top-down shooter though.
In case you are wondering, the 432k score that it shows in the first photo is my current high score on Hard Mode, so that wouldn't qualify for this category.
Played on my JXD s7800b Android gaming tablet. Fun little game, pretty tough though.
Took this snapshot right as my final death was surrendered. Interesting little side scrolling shmup.
Snapped this screenshot right as my final death was taken. This is a REALLY fun game, I enjoyed it a lot. The animation is really cool, all of the character models and level environments are cool, great music.
Nice score there, buddy!
It really is! I am liking it a lot so far. It emulates NES, SNES and MegaDrive flawlessly.
Very tough game! Played this on my JXD s7800b Android Gaming tablet.
I had to re-submit this one because I accidentally sent in the time that the computer car had and not my time.
This is a very interesting race. In the emulated version, it is actually physically impossible to finish the race with any car besides the white one because of gas consumption (that includes using Nitro). In the regular version, it can be done with pretty much any car, but the emulated version is just strange like that.
This is a fairly easy race. There are a couple of tough turns but overall nothing to really be worried about.
This race is a bit tricky, especially when using the white car because it's slower. There are a number of areas where there is a fair amount of slow down which ended up being my demise in this race. Unless you can force a collision with the rival car on the final turn, then he will likely beat you every time.
This is a pretty easy track. The biggest thing is that you have to stop to use the Pits more than once, so managing how much time you spend in the 2nd pit can save you some time. The computer car made the weirdest mistake... during his 1st re-fuel, he immediately left after only taking two bars of gas and ran out shortly after. So, that's why his finish was so bad. He had to wait for other cars to knock him around the track to get him back into a re-fueling station.
About time the computer car finishes a race, I kinda felt bad for the guy. Fairly easy race overall, there is one tricky sequence of turns in this one, but proper speed management will solve it pretty easily.
Yet another very tough track where any amount of collisions can play a part in whether you can actually complete the course or not. This is the only country in which the computer car fails to finish 3 out of the 4 races.
(!!!) I can't even explain my excitement for this one. This may be one of the first times ever that I finished 1st place on this race without Nitro on the emulated version. It is so difficult to make up all of the lost ground between yourself and the computer car that overtakes you for 1st when you make your Pit Stop. I was barely able to edge him going into the last turn. So cool.
Italy is a very tough section of the game, especially this track. Fuel management is the name of the game again, and virtually any collisions of any kind can potentially make you unable to finish the race (as you can see from the computer car not finishing)
Also... I beat the Track Record by .07" (!!)
This is a track where fuel management is key. There are no Pit Stops, so collisions can make all the difference here because there aren't a lot of opportunities to pick up speed. Didn't quite make the Track Record, but still pleased with the run overall.
This is a track that can be extremely frustrating. There is possibly the highest speed section in the entire game in this track, and it is very easy to collide with road signs and/or cars while you are weaving in and out of the rough turns. Luckily, I was able to make it out with only one collision, and that was in the opening seconds.
This is one of my personal favorites in the game. Very wide open and a very interesting obstacle section towards the end of the track. I could have set the Track Record in this one with slightly better fuel management and avoiding a collision.
This race is extremely tough without the usage of Nitro. As you can see, I ended up finishing 2nd to the rival car, and somehow the time split doesn't make sense. Being .26 off of the computer's time shouldn't end up as an even number, but since that is what was registered in the game, I had to roll with it.
I would love to make vids of these, but it's pretty hard when I usually go to the arcade by myself and it's hard to hold a camera while driving ;)
Yeah, once I get done with these then I will probably go back and do a series of the races with Nitro allowed. It will be a little while though, I'm not nearly as good when I use those lol it becomes really hard to control the car!
This race is precisely why car selection makes all the difference in the emulated version. The red car absolutely cannot finish this race without Nitro, and even with it... it's still pretty close. The other three cars, however, can finish, but it's still a tight squeeze. Any collisions in this race almost make it impossible to finish.
Pretty easy race here. Lots of high speed areas so it's certainly a short one, a couple of potentially troublesome areas for collisions but I was able to avoid them.
This was a REALLY close race. It's actually fairly common for me to lose to the computer car in this one because of the final curve before the finish line. It requires slowing down which usually allows the computer car to pass you and inevitably win, but I was able to have just enough of a buffer to be able to stave him off and literally win by a nose.
This is a fairly easy race. The serpentine turn section can be difficult without proper speed control, but overall it's an easy one to work with. I even managed to beat the Track Record by a couple seconds.
For future reference, you might want to invest in making the emulator window a lot larger. That score is really hard to see. I just don't want your future submissions to get 'no' votes for being hard to see!
I decided to make the game window a little bit larger so that the scores would be easier to see. I know that a couple people had commented that the scores were kinda hard to read.
This is a fairly easy race, pretty wide open so there isn't a ton of concern about collisions with cars aside two different areas. I had one collision early, but other than that it was a spotless run. Even the computer car ended up limping across the finish with no gas. Incredibly short for an 8 lap race!
This is my personal favorite track in the game. It's very high speed oriented, lots of hills. The big problem is that with those high speeds and hills, there is a VERY small window for error when it comes to avoiding enemy cars. I had to take a couple of unavoidable collisions, but overall, it was a solid run. I trounced the Track Record in this run, but with a fairly clean run of this one, you can do it pretty easily.
This is a really tough race in the emulated version because virtually taking more than one collision can potentially make you unable to finish because of gas usage. As you can see, the computer car wasn't even able to finish. Always a tough one to complete.
This race can be pretty interesting if you aren't careful. Because of the strange number of laps, gas conservation is key. I was able to make it through just barely before my tank ran out of gas, narrowly missing the track record. I'll take it though!
Here it is now that I have it properly filed!
Ohhhhhh, I didn't notice that! I totally thought I had it under the emulated section. I will have to re-submit when I get home. Thanks for letting me know.
Thanks a lot!
I think that it should be under emulated because I am using an emulation device to play it on. If it were using an actualy cartridge to play it then that would be different, but I just have ROMs loaded on it.
Probably a score that I could improve on, but it was the first score that I recorded on my new JXD s7800b Android Gaming Tablet so that was pretty cool. Still trying to get used to the layout of the buttons
For me, and a lot of other people on this site, farming maximum scores kinda goes against the spirit of how HighScore works. The name of the game is always to get your highest score, but in an organic setting where you are just playing through the game naturally instead of farming infinitely spawning enemies to cut corners.
The picture is a little bit blurry, I apologize for that. It gets pretty dark in those arcades so the lighting is kinda crappy on my iPhone sometimes with these. But, I improved on my score by about 10k so I figured it was worth a post!
Hey bud, you might want to re-submit this score. You only submitted it as 15,260 instead of 152,600!
Tough little game. Took the screenshot as I died, they only give you one life in this game!
I will be sure to watch!
When I go back there next time, I will take a picture of the arcade cabinet so that you can see it.
I couldn't get my phone out quickly enough to snap the picture after I died... so I had to wait until the demo screen displayed it instead.
This race is damn near impossible (and also my least favorite in the entire game) to place 1st in without the usage of Nitro, so, I ended up in a modest 2nd for this, as you can see in the Post Race photo. Unfortunately, when you don't place 1st in a race, it doesn't show your actual time, just the split on how much you lost by. Luckily, the 2nd photo provided does show the actual finish time.
Very easy race... for me that is. I knocked out the Track Record fairly easily on this one, but the computer racer had plenty of issues with hitting road signs and other cars along the way and he failed to finish.
This is a fairly easy race, with one exception. There is an interesting sequence of turns that are pretty hard to execute regularly. But, I was able to beat the Track Record by just a hair!
This may well have been my best run on this course, ever. When playing the emulated version, it is EXTREMELY difficult to obtain 1st place without using nitro, especially considering that this is the first track in the game that requires a 2nd pit stop. But, I managed to pull it off, meanwhile, the computer car ended up running out of gas on the 6th lap and failed to finish :\
I will have to do some practicing! I actually noticed that a couple of levels that are in The Lost Levels are actually in the vs. Super Mario Bros. Arcade version (ie. 3-2)
I just played the Lost Levels today. Unfortunately... I have never made it that far yet. I've heard that it's pretty wild!
Such a tough game! Once they got to the part where I had to start dealing with wind mechanics is where it all started falling apart.
Photo is a tad blurry, sorry about that. I tried using a different vehicle and that certainly helped me out a little bit. Was able to make a couple of turns much better which saved me some time in the end.
It's a tough little game, but I really like it! It has great music too!
Couldn't quite get past 8-3. But, this was probably the best run that I have ever had on this game. So, I am happy! :)
You still had four lives left! How come you didn't keep going?
I had to pause the emulation to snap this screenshot as I took my final death because they don't show your score after a "Game Over". Tough game, but certainly fun!
This may well have been the best run that I've ever had on this track. Most of that is due to the fact that the Rival car slammed into a road sign early on, so a lot of the collisions that I would normally have on this track disappeared allowing me to have a virtually clean run. I actually plastered the Track Record this time. Very tough track, so many twists and weird turns.
This is one of my favorite tracks in the game. Fairly easy race, nothing too tough about it, I managed my fuel about as well as I could. Didn't quite beat the Track Record, but it was a great run for me.
This race is always fun to play, lots of hills and areas to pick up a lot of speed. I actually managed to barely beat the preset Track Record by less than half a second, so that was pretty cool.
This is the first tough race in the game when you head to the second set of tracks. I managed to minimize contact with other cars and managed my pit stops really well. I feel kinda bad for the computer car in this one, he ran out of gas
That's what I saw! If you beat the game, does it just start you back at Stage 1-1 again and you continue?
I tried to pause the emulator right when I took my last death so that you could see the in-game photo. But, I couldn't do it quickly enough so it just ported back to the main screen.
The first photo does about as good as can be done, I suppose. I submitted all of the tracks in order as they appear in the game, and track name does match from the first photo to that of the title of the submission. It was as good as I could do without making a video. I choose to not do a lot of video submissions because that would require that I open another YouTube channel in order to do so since I don't normally do HighScore submissions on my actual Let's Play page.
It's a tough one! Especially World 8. So many obstacles and things to cautiously avoid.
My photo is a little dark, I know. But not a bad score for me considering I haven't played it in a couple years!
I think that you have this one filed in the wrong category. I think that this would classify as Arcade.
The wheels really fall off for me when I get to 5-2. That stage is like my Achille's Heel!
Last night at the arcade, I was able to shave a couple seconds off of my personal best, although it wasn't quite fast enough to beat the top score here on the site. But, I am still proud of it!
I decided to try something new when I got this new time. I tried using a different car than what I normally use, and it seemed to pay off pretty well. Better handling really came in handy for some of the weird hairpin turns on this track.
They just put this cabinet in at my local barcade in Salem. So, I decided to give it a try. The score isn't anything special but I did have the top score on this machine so I guess it's worth posting for now! I'll keep working on it and see if I can get something more respectable :)

Whoever keeps leaving these messages on my posts, at least be man enough to identify yourself. I don't know what my "past actions" are that make me untrustworthy. My legit rating is 96% so I fail to see what the issue is there, and my reputation? What reputation do I have?
This race can be fairly tricky as your gas tank will hit empty if you aren't careful, and there is no pit stop on this track either.
This was the first race in which using a pit stop was mandatory, but a fairly easy race overall.
Just wanted to give you guys a full look at the track, since I am going to be posting a lot of these. The emulated version is actually quite different (and more difficult) than the physical cartridge version. There is a difference in how the cars consume gas. No clue why, but it essentially makes the game totally different in a sense. The purpose of the 2nd photo is to reinforce that indeed No Nitro was used during the race as they start you with 3 of them.
The purpose of the 2nd photo is to reinforce that indeed No Nitro was used during the race, as you start the race with 3 of them.
The main reason that I used the second picture was to reinforce that indeed No Nitro was used during this race, as you start out with 3.

I see that you have been posting a lot of scores. Good luck out there, you are doing a quality job.
I think that instead of calling people out in a fit of rage, you should take a step back and look at this objectively. This type of scenario isn't limited to just you, so don't think that people are singling you out. Any time that there is a score submission that involves completely maxing out a score, people are going to look at it differently. Personally, if you are going to post a score that is maxed out like this in the future, I would suggest filming it. That would provide indisputable evidence that the score is in fact legit, thus helping your case. Also, don't worry about it. Post your score, we will take care of the rest. Not all of your scores are going to pass at a 100% clip. It's just impossible.
If you want, you can play the game and see that the "Best Time" for Track 3 is 1:16. All of the tracks have different times.
The top score on my list here was acquired during my Let's Play series, and came well after many continues were used, so it doesn't count. That is why I am using the 2nd place score, as that came from playing at the start of the game.
It was pretty fun. It gets a little repetitive once you have unlocked all of the tracks and you are able to sustain having 99 nitros at the beginning of every race.
This score was a re-upload because I initally uploaded it into the wrong category.
This game strangely combines the times for Regular and Backwards on the "Fast Times" list. The entry at #1 was for Regular orientation. The highlighted score was for Backwards.
It's like they want to tease you to make you think that the top score is easily defeated... until you find out that it's not!
It's crazy to think that after completing all 99 races in the game, I still only came in 2nd place! Damn you, Paul!
Used the screen capture right after the last killing blow was taken. This version is pretty tough!
Thanks a lot! I'm glad that you enjoyed the video!
The video provided was from a Let's Play video that I posted this morning. The score that I posted can be found at 26:05. Not the top score for this site, but it was certainly my best round that I have ever played personally.
Couldn't get past the infamous "Dodging the spike gates" section. So, yet another tie for the top score.
It's a little monotonous, but it's a fun little game. I know that I can improve on my score a pretty fair amount since I still had plenty of lives left, so maybe I will upload another one soon!
I could have gone much, much longer in this one, but the ball got caught in an endless loop inside of that enclosure there with no way to get them unstuck. In case you are wondering about the score, you are awarded that Flower emblem under the score when you reach 10,000 points, so the counter rolls over after that.
Had to pause the emulation before the screen transitioned to the Game Over screen. Snapped this one right as I lost my last life.
Sometimes, the best strategy is to just rush them and then unload with the Batarang!
Stage 3 is a really tough area to get through, especially when you head into the cave section with the battle tanks. There is a small glitch that you can exploit that makes the tanks despawn and then you can walk through there without any problems. But, even with that out of the way, Level 4 is pretty hard on its own merit, too!
Wow! That's an insane score, fantastic job!
Looks like it could have been some sort of bonus. Because it happened right after you died
Well done, sir! Great run
Took me a few days to get this score, and I can still improve on it. But, I was happy with it. It's a really fun table to play!
I'll post my scores anyways. I know that I probably won't beat any of these other people that have been playing for longer, but there is nothing wrong with personal bests!
Six flippers! I absolutely love the inverted playfield. That really makes it fun, and it's challenging. The wide open layout of the board itself is enjoyable and doesn't make it seem so crowded like you get in some tables these days.
I would love to play a legit Black Hole table! It's turning into one of my favorites :)
Not a great score, but this game seems tougher than most Pacman games I have played. The scrolling screen thing is a little bothersome, too.
Not the highest score on this table, but it's a tough board. I'm definitely happy with this one!
Not really a great score for this game, but I saw there was no entry for it so far so I wanted to make a contribution. I just finished making a Let's Play series of this. Pretty tough game, but a lot of fun. The area where I died, thus finishing my entry for this one was at 5:45 if you need to check.
This is a score that I can definitely improve on, but I figured that I would post it anyways for now. I recently attained my score during my Let's Play series of this game a couple weeks back. I finally died at the 6:36 mark, so that is where you can find the score.
Thanks a lot! Those "W" bombs really came in handy for the last couple of bosses, I was actually surprised that I got all the way through the game, I just sat down and decided to give it a try. Lots of fun though!
Managed to beat the game, but I couldn't quite beat the highest score posted here. I had a lot of deaths towards the end that really caused me to sacrifice my score. But, certainly my best score to date!
This game strangely combines the times for Regular and Backwards on the "Fast Times" list. I wasn't sure if the two higher scores posted were from Regular or Backwards orientations, so I just went with the time that I just posted at #3 instead. Sorry it wasn't very bright. The timing for the screen capture was a little off.
This game strangely combines the times for Regular and Backwards on the "Fast Times" list. The entry at #1 was for Regular orientation. I tried to get a good capture right after the race was over but it took too long so I had to do it here on the "Records" list instead. The time listed at #2 was the score that I had during that run.
This game strangely combines the times for Regular and Backwards on the "Fast Times" list. The entries at #1 and #2 are both for Regular orientation, so that's why I am using this time instead of those.
This game strangely combines the times for Regular and Backwards on the "Fast Times" list. The highlighted entry was indeed for Backwards orientation. Sorry that it is kinda dark and hard to read. It's really hard to time it with my screen capture software since the highlighted times flash orange and then black.
I also had to snap this photo right as the boss fight was over. I could have just kept playing and done a marathon score, but it was already like 3AM so I was too tired
Was able to improve on my score just a little bit. I died a couple of times during the run in the Plant Zone and Moai but I ended up rebounding and was able to finish it up :) I tried a different weapon configuration that seemed to work out pretty well.
The highest score on this table is pretty crazy. But, I am still happy with my high score.
Great score! I wish I still had my original copy of this!
So close to taking the #1 spot on that list. But, it was still a solid run. Fun table to play.
Great score, man! Wow!
You were only one round away from where I was at!
You'll get there! It's just a matter of getting a couple of lucky shots in. Once you can get all of the spawn patterns down, then it really helps!
I don't know, but the game gets pretty wild right around that area!
Picture is a little blurry, but I'm happy with the score!
This game is a toughie, much harder than the original ones in my opinion.
Certainly wasn't close to the record on the cabinet here at the arcade, but it was easily my best run that I have had! Sorry, I forgot to bring my notepad with my name on it to help identify myself for this one. I'll bring it for next time!
Thanks! I was almost hoping it would stop after a little bit. I think I had like 5 extra balls racked up on my second ball haha
Haha the rockets are dicks XD That game looks hilarious!
This is definitely my best run on any pinball table. Period.
Fun little game that I got going when I brushed off my Commodore last night. It gets tough QUICKLY though
I decided to add the three different scenarios in the GBC section. So, they will be available for scoring soon if you want to add it in there!
Looks like someone has since beaten my score but I am still proud of this one! I will have to keep trying for a 10 homer run!
Certainly some room for improvement, but not a bad start!
Don't worry too much about the negative votes. For some reason, users are abnormally harsh on Arcade/MAME scores, so you'r percentage will likely start out low, but it picks up pretty quickly afterwards. Just keep posting and things will even themselves out!
I've definitely picked up a few 300's in my hayday. But, a couple mistakes that ruined it for me here.
Just dusted this bad boy off and had one of my best runs ever :) I could have hit all 10 HR's but I swung just a tad late on two of those pitches.
What mode was this in? Standard, Updown or Magical?
I really like the idea of starting each turn in Multi-Ball mode, and then setting a timer that you can add onto. I don't know if I've ever seen another table do that before.
I know this score isn't anything special, but it's my personal best so far since I just started getting into Atari games. I hope that I can start competing with some of these great scores soon!
I know that this score isn't anything special at all, but it's my personal high so far since I just started getting into Atari. I really like this game a lot, so hopefully I can start competing with some of you guys!
The game doesn't display your high score right after the game is over, so I had to just wait until it went back to the Main Screen to get this listing.
I will certainly look into that then!
I've got it for my PC too! I haven't bought any of the tables yet, but I definitely plan on it! It's a great, great game. So glad that they did it!
Not sure why this is being voted down so much. Oh well :\
Managed to get myself a better score on this today!
Last one of these for a little while, they ran out of levels! Lol
Ill give it a try later after work!
Great score! I'll have to see if I can beat it!
Couldn't quite take M. Bison. Man, he is a real bastard sometimes.
Not quite as good as the score that I have on the Arcade version, the boss on the third level gets pretty tricky. But, it was still a good score anyways.
Man... this game is SO hard. Even on Rookie, I was in for a crazy challenge.
If it's done on the Wii Virtual Console, then you should file this score under the Virtual Console: SNES section.
I snapped this picture right after I won the last fight in the game (Title Defense against Foreman).
I don't see the reason for point farming. It takes away from the joy of the game in my eyes. Plus... it just takes SO long to do it. I mean, there is nothing wrong with knowing certain ways to obtain some extra points in certain situations, but not doing it over and over again.
It's a really fun game too! I love little puzzle games like this that make you think quickly.
Back to these again, I see.
Timber is a fun little game. They actually have a cabinet of it at the arcade I go to all the time. Super fun!
Those "Special" levels are really tough. I forgot about them!
Full completion of the game. All 96 exits, no point farming. Just a good ol' standard run. I tried to capture a photo at the end of the game when I killed Bowser, but the quality was just terrible so I decided to do it from this menu instead.
This version is quite a lot harder than the NES version. Controls are a little bit less responsive.
Nothing like getting down on a little bit of pinball while things are slow at work
Ah, Kaboom! What a cool, simple game. I wish that I had an Atari so that I could post some scores for it here. I just won a tournament for Kaboom! a couple months ago :) I've never had good luck getting an Atari emulator to work well on my computer.
Personally, I don't have an issue with this one. That score takes A LONG time to obtain. Just as long as it was done without cheating.
Wow, $200 for an N64? That's pretty steep. There is a used game shop right next door to where I work, and they had one on sale somewhere in the $75-$100 area. That seems a lot more reasonable to me, unless it's like a special edition system or something.
Oh yes, of course!
It's a really cool little place to go. Nice game selection, they also serve alcohol and great food. It's my regular chill spot! If you head up to Portland, there is also Ground Kontrol. That's like the ultimate spot. Much larger and the entire second floor is devoted to pinball machines!
That's really cool that it was your score! I've been working pretty diligently at beating it but I keep getting stuck on level 9. You've got a solid score going, great job!
Still on my quest to claim the top score on this cabinet, I made some good progress in closing the gap!
I was pretty proud of this one. Also not the top score on the machine, but by far my best one!
I know that it's a little blurry, my blood sugar was pretty low last night so my hands were shakin' a little when I was trying to take this. 4th best high score on the machine but it was easily my best round!
Holy smokes, great score! You took care of mine pretty handily.
Wow, well done!
Oh wow, with the names actually where they were intended to be with the Mike Bison thing. How cool.
Oops! You're 100% right. I will have to pull this one off and re-submit. Thanks for letting me know!
There is a cool little barcade downtown where I live that has a pretty cool selection of games, this one included!
I haven't played the Arcade version nearly as much, but these are some of my favorite types of games :)
I was literally |---| that close to finishing the entire course. The finish line was right in front of me. But, this game stops you in place when the time runs out so I couldn't quite get there.
Couldn't quite beat the final Richard Rose (final boss) but definitely one of my better scores! I actually managed to score a "Perfect" on all three Bonus Stages which was a first for me.
Couldn't quite take out Mutoid Man at the end of the stage. Almost though!
It's pretty fun. I think you would like it!
So happy that I finally got this score. I know that I can still do better, but that third level is REALLY hard.
Ah! I was so close to actually beating the game, was on the final boss battle and was within a couple hits of beating him but I just couldn't quite pull it off. Certainly my best run of this ever :)
To my recollection, yes. It should only display your game time in the event that you beat the game. Otherwise, you just get the 'Game Over' screen.
