I was wondering why it was 'yikes' at first. Then I saw you have a score waiting on votes for this one as well.

I hope yours goes through first, and then mine. Then we should both get credit in the contest! :)

part of why I said yikes is how much that game wears out my thumb!

well I'll still be taking this as a challenge so watch out...  devil

I used the Epyx 500XJ joystick for this one. Places the fire button near your trigger finger if you are right handed. Fairly comfortable controller. (They make one for the NES as well, but it's weird playing most of those games with a joystick.)

Wouldent it be that if you earn the top trophy and your trophy is taken within the time of the contest it will take that count away? Thats how the wold score contest goes as far as I know.

@thedarkbanshee: With the 5200 and 7800 scores it specifies that the player must win and hold the world record. The rules for the 2600 contest only mention cracking a world record. That makes me believe that you do not need to maintain the high score throughout the contest period for the 2600 scores.

that's true, you don't lose it in the 2600 one.  we've had that kind of contest before & that's how it worked.
