I'm voting YES even though the video doesn't show the Atari switches in the A position.

One of them has no function and the other one just toggles music on and off.  So, the difficulty switches don't matter.

@S.BAZ: Thanks for voting if ... both switches are in expert ... my atari 2600 switches are inverted ... I do not know why ...

@omargeddon:

If you have a coleco Gemini Atari 2600 that would be why. Is yours made by Atari Sears or Coleco? Or is it a system changer?

@omargeddon:

You should look that up. More then likely that is the way those are since other console are the same way.

It is the reason I do not sport my Gemini on here to prevent confusion. I have posted on this in the forums incase thats all someone has is the Gemini or in your case a console that swapped the A and B. Those who do not know will have to be linked to my forum post in the future of your A/Expert scores so it prevents confusion. I will get you a link when I find it.

@thedarkbanshee: This is Atari there is the image that I uploaded ... maybe it is that it is of factory ... I have its box and it is produced by Atari ... in Atariage there are many consoles of different forms ... Atari junior. Atari junior Black ... etc ... and also the description of my Atari 2600 32 games in vault

@thedarkbanshee:

On my Stella Emulator, the Difficulty Switches have the following effects:

  • Left B - Music OFF
  • Left A - Music ON
  • Right B - 2 moving speeds
  • Right A - 3 moving speeds

The Right Difficulty switch on 2600 Moon Patrol MUST be set before pressing "Reset Game" button to start a new game.

@omargeddon:

And just to be honest - on recent Moon Patrol Contest for Atari Age 2600 High Score Club, I played on Medium Skill Level and set both Difficulty Switches to A POSITION on Stella (Music ON and 3 moving speeds).

@oyamafamily: So then S.BAZ was wrong and this score is perhaps getting more yes votes then it should.

I am not going to vote.  Due to confusion, I would suggest pulling this.  I do not want to vote no.

@SeanStewart: confusion? Only in brief words ... my atari has the difficulty buttons reversed ... that's all ... A (beginner) B (expert)
