Hey thanks so much! Next one attempt I'm going to try and film with the rear camera of the Surface 3 instead of the VC500.

It's the idea of being watched that puts the pressure on you for sure! Recording/Uploading is pretty simple, just having the tools that work properly is annoying. I was almost tempted to pull my rig out from my room and bring it in here so this awful Diamond VC would hopefully work a bit better. Thanks for the welcome, I'm really excited about it. I really like this setup here

Thanks so much Derek

Haha thanks, I use a dazzle (an old one) and a pirated version of debut recording software, there’s better stuff available but it gets the job done :) You are splitting the signal from your console to your CPU and TV, right?

Thanks so much Derek

I've got the PS2 going into the TV and the TV's Video Out to the USB Capture device. Audio is going into a mixer and out of the mixer into the USB capture also. No noticeable lag when in the preview window on the computer, only after I view the recorded video do things not look so great.
@KMP:
The way I’ve got it setup is I split the PS2’s Yellow,red,and white video cable (actually I split the output from a 8 in 1 out Video box) with three wye connectors. One goes to the dazzle and the other to the TV, video signals are running simultaneously on my computer and TV. I have 8 consoles hooked up to the video hub box and it seems to work well, sound always seems to be in sync
@derek:
My main issue is using a subpar computer for capture. Did a test run on my gaming rig with the VC500 recording and it was fine. My TV has a total of 6 video inputs, with L/R inputs for audio on each, then a single video and L/R RCA output jacks. So I can run all my systems on one tv which is great, but to play through my receiver and speakers, I ran all the systems into an audio mixer to one input on the receiver. Good enough for me. -- Posted by OriginalGamer on 2017-12-29 23:05:04

@OriginalGamer: It's the best PS2 screen to get, the rest are awful. Even though the name makes it sound like it will be terrible. Joytech. It's an 8" LCD.
That's terrible :( About your screen not working right. Hopefully it's not a Joytech/Hori PS2 screen situation and harder to find then birds teeth..
Yeah the score is difficult to see with such a tiny screen. I've got things setup to film my scores the way you do now ^_^
that was a good run, video is pretty good, slight disync but clear enough for me. definetly deserves a yes vote -- Posted by BrandonGuerra97 on 2018-01-06 22:46:54

@BrandonGuerra97: Yeah that video was all kinds of screwed up. One score I did, I think 2 below this one that scoreboard the audio was so messed up that if I watched it from someone else I would of said "they are using some kinda rapid fire".
Ive moved on from bad screencap software. Doing it right now :)

I made sure to record all approperate game screens, such as resetting the game to show it was a fresh start, and letting the continue timer run to 0 and reset after entering initials. I felt like especially since this is my first score submission, and I've just joined today this was especially important.
Maybe from now on I will setup a camera to record viewing the system and the TV rather then capture going forward.
Quite possibly the worst setup you guys will hear of on here, so please if you have any suggestions let me know on how I can record better gameplay.
