ROAD RASH!!! What's your thoughts on @games with the cart? I feel like since it's licensed, it's legit.

@D3fk0nZ3r0:

Yeah, you can actually put Genesis/Mega Drive cartridges in the At@games Sega plug and play console.

@JML101582: Right, if it were the games it came with I'd say that's a category in itself. I wouldn't knock you posting this as Genesis either way..

yes

AtGames emulates the Genesis/Mega Drive hardware with software, unlike, say, the Dendy or Pegasus which are Famicom clones which use internal hardware similar to what is inside the Famicom. Still, this site considers cartridges played on a Dendy or Pegasus console as emulation. Take that however you wish. I just go with the flow.

As an aside Game Boy, Game Bot Color, and Game Boy Advance games played on the GamePlayer add-on for the GameCube are not considered emulation as the GamePlayer uses actual Game Boy hardware. The same goes for Sega SG-1000 and Sega Mk III games played on a Japanese Sega Master System, as the Master System has compatible hardware with Sega's earlier consoles. In fact, the Japanese Sega Master System has itentical hardware to the Mk. 3, with the additional hardware for 3-D classes and Yamaha FM Sound support built into the system. That's why I own a J-Master System (although they are rare and starting to get pricy).

@Mark: That makes sense, I was going to use the GameCube attachment and gba backwards compatibility as an example too
