@S.BAZ: I never knew the Atari 2600 version back then, only the later release for C64! I remember a friend had it and he was really hooked on it! XD

YES of course! yes

I may have this one I'm not sure. I have several Coleco 2600 cartridges.

Is that a 7800 PainLine controller that you are using? I have a VCS and two 2600 Jrs., but the Jrs. didn't come with controllers, so I usually use the standard VCS/2600 controllers.

@Mark: Mark, I'm not sure what type of controller this is. There is no model number or name on it (just a sticker saying 'XA'). However I believe some of the 2600 Jr's came with this type, others with the classic one, which I like best. I think some of the Atari 7800 also came with a joystick similar to the one in the picture and others had a game pad. However I'm not sure about it either...

Well, I do know that the controller that came with the 7800 in the U.S. looks just like the controller in your photo. This is known as the ProLine controller, but it's painfull to use so gamers took to calling it a PainLine controller. In Europe the 7800 was released with game pad controllers approx. the same size as an NES or SMS control pad.

@Mark: The nickname PainLine makes sense! My hands were hurting after 15 minutes already! XD

I couldn't take the PainLine controller's abuse, so I will, depending on the game, use a 2600 controller, or a Sega Master System controller, or a Sega Genesis controller when playing on the 7800. The ports are the same. smiley
