Hi! The scoring on this is a little unorthodox compared to some other NES games. It was chosen that the 'coin score' (score in bottom left of gameplay video -45:00) was to be used instead of the 'high score' (the one at the end of the video - 47:00). The picture I included of my set-up shows the 'high score' and not the 'coin score' because the coin score is not shown at the end of the video. The score of 140,300 was only provided to correlate my external pictures with my gameplay recording. I just wanted to clarify that, as I want to make clear that this is NOT a matter of mismatched scores. I'm sure if S.BAZ comes across this, that he would be able to confirm my above information. Thanks for reading this novel of a comment! laugh

Great evidence and score! The principle of scoring in this game is quite peculiar indeed! I like the game from what I see in your video. I'll check whether there's a PAL version of it.

Thanks Rob, the only time you see the main score is upon beating bosses, and when you get a game-over. This is why I think it was decided to go with the 'coin score'. Unfortunately, from what I can tell, it was not released in PAL - which is a shame, because its really quite a well put together game. I think the graphics / cutscenes are especially nice. I would say its even worth giving it a chance via emulator, if you're into that!
