@RetroRob:

Thanks Rob. Strangely this has one no vote 'due to reputation,' yet my previous High Score with this game was voted 100% Legit.

This is strange indeed! I noticed that most submissions with photo only evidence get 1 or 2 no votes these days. Maybe someone wanted a video and just picked a random or wrong reason?

This score beats the current World Record in B/Novice, so I can kinda see why someone would want to see a video, but as this score was played on actual hardware in the easiest difficulty (b/Novice) I don't why people would vote no. My previous best, which is currently ranked 2nd in the world, is over 4,000 points and it was voted 100% Legit.

Yes, it's a fairly recent thing that there's a 'strictly no for photo evidence' voter. I also think in many cases photo only evidence should have a better acceptance. It's good to encourage new users and for scores from casual gaming or when there's a chart where a photo may suffice. Also I'd rather have a photo from a trustworthy person like you than a video from someone with a questionable reputation. Obviously all of this is a matter of personal opinion.

@RetroRob: I have never cheated but before you were arround I used to vote 95% photo evidence as no and offered free web cams and then I started showing over the forums video on how evidence can easily be fabricated even with video evidence. This earned me as not a trust worthy user and I receaved lots of no votes. So your right someone with a questionable reputation gets smashed. I never go by reputation even if a user is a known cheater. I always look at the evidence. I admit I was a no vote maniac back when this site started but photo evidence is something I use the skip feature on now.

Legitimate voting is an expression of opinion. Everybody will weigh the various aspects of evidence differently. In my view as long as voting is applied by the rules it's each user's individual choice which has to be respected. The voting system gives every user admin powers. Therefore responsible and reasonable voting is so important for this site.

Absolutly agreed! Sadly I was pegged for trying to keep people honest but in the end I have since seen much more video from more users including those who complained about me requiring video. I think it came about because cheaters were finally getting cought and then more cheaters join. One infact redeemed himself. This site has come a long way. You can see the arcives of my complaning and others formal hatred for me who now welcome me. Sadly we lost some greate gamers in the process whotook my side of things long before the others such as Vector Gamer. I seen Vector Gamer is on Atariage so perhaps I can invite him to come back letting him know the site is certantly more fair these days.

Yeah, some former regulars are active on atariage.com and other sites, such as TG and cyberscore.me.uk! It would be great if they returned!

I played a lot on Atariage and had some scores here, almost always with only picture. Never cheated but got accused of cheating for submitting a Frostbite score with a wrong video by mistake. That took away all the fun for me. Anyway congratulations for the new Go Fish record.
