I started seriously practicing Raiden II for the inaugural "Battle of the Arcades" here in Australia back in June 2018, as it was one of the 12 games we would be competing in. I played for Pixel Alley in Victoria. The individual winning performance in Australia for that single game was Jessie Bogie, who scored 894, 970, a truly excellent score. I placed third with 426, 680.

Australian fans of Raiden II can experience it at the 1UP Arcade in Brisbane. I heartily recommend it as the sound alone is incredible. A great game!
