I've owned this cartridge since I was a kid, but I haven't played it since then.

I used to be pretty good at it, but not so much now.

Not having the controller holder anymore may be a factor (one of those things that got tossed out that I regret). I'm using a foot pedal controller to controll the extra weapons instead.

There is a foot pedal controller? I do not even know. Is there a link to, infos or pictures about it? Sounds interesting! :)

BTW: I love the sound from Spy Hunter. And I have a earwig for the rest of this day. :D

@SHiNjide:

You can catch a glimpse of it in the video (on the floor) in the first couple of seconds of the video.

You can buy the foot pedal controller, new in the box, here for $20USD (which seems like a bargain to me): http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Foot-Pedal-Controller-for-Atari-2600-7800-Commodore-/130531585922?pt=US_Video_Game_Controllers&hash=item1e6449ef82

There are switches that allow you to specify what each pedal does (any one of 4 joystick directions or the fire button). You can daisy-chain it with your joystick in the same port (though I've never found a reason to do that), or you can add it to the second port.

It seems very high quality to me. It is microswitch-based and seems pretty durable.

I've found it most useful when playing Stargate on the 2600. The second controller is used for activating smart bombs, hyperspace, and invisibility, and the 3 programmable pedals are ideally suited for that. I wouldn't want to use it for any kind of directional control, like steering, though.

I eventually plan to build a custom controller for Stargate and Spy Hunter (I have a Generation NEX arcade stick that I gutted for this purpose), but this is suitable in the meanwhile.
