There are three difficulty setings.

1 Begineer

great to see your extra infos.

this chart indicates (1) Beginner game selection -- because not specified, it refers to the default setting, or in the absence of one, whatever is the easiest setting.

IMO, any game selection is acceptable for this chart since the default is the easiest, so it must be fair to submit a score earned at a disadvantage.   --but that's just MY opinion.

selections 2 & 3 should have charts for strictly those settings only.

also, glad to see another Oystron challenge!

this game has suddenly reached #1 on my homebrew wish-list.

my favorite homebrews that I've gotten so far:  Lady Bug, Strat-O-Gems Deluxe & Go! Fish.

@S.BAZ:

I have alot of homebrews for the 2600, 5200, 7800, NES, Sega Master System, SNES/SFC, Genesis/Mega Drive, Dreamcast, etc. I have more for the 2600 than for any other system. Oystron I just had to get once I played it on an emulator.smiley

I submitted a score for Begineer as well. smiley

By-the-way, it's hard to get a score as high as this one with Difficulty 3. Consider Difficulty 3 to be like Type A.

Do you think most people here know that this game was only released for the 2600? I submitted a new Expert High Score for this using emulation, but on the Notepad I identified it as being a 7800/Emulation score. The reason I ask is that this new score took months to finally achieve. I don't think I can do it again.

By the way, did you ever buy a copy of Oystron? It's still available at Atari Age for $20, but I've noticed that some games become unavailable at some point, especially if the original release had a limited run. Oystron is old though. It first came out in 1996 I believe.

@Mark:

Still haven't got Oystron yet.  Unfortunately I can't really afford to buy new games.  The vast majority of my collecting comes by way of lucky finds and bulk lots where I keep a few & sell the rest to get my $ back.  I do have a couple of gift certificates for the AA store though, so I plan on getting a homebrew or 2 sometime soon.  Sadly for Oystron, a few others have bumped it down on the wish-list...

Yes, I think most users here would recognize that's a 2600 game, especially when submitted in that category.  I would probably put in the comments, that my notepad had the wrong info, just in case though  :)
