Nice score. This is an amazing game I only found out about it in the last 2 years.

As always good video evidence.

Thanks. It is indeed a good game. The pace is furious.

I haven't yet decided what is the best strategy:

  1. Kill the Master Nests as soon as possible, preventing deployment of the rest of the enemies.
  2. Let the Master Nests deploy all of the enemies then kill them before killing the Nest
  3. Let the Master Nest deploy all enemies and kill the Nest first, to turn all of the 30 point Green Widows into 50 point Stingers..

#3 seems like the highest potential scoring, assuming you can survive the same amount of waves. But that is a big "if".

Have you ever seen the Spider Fighter Manual?

http://atariage.com/manual_thumbs.html?SoftwareLabelID=478

The manual says the following functions for Left Difficulty: B is Expert Game (scoring changes when you enter grapes, strawberries and bananas waves and enemies are fast), A is Regular Game (slow enemies and scoring never changes). But I saw in your video Left Difficulty A is EXPERT game on your real system - the same thing occurs on my Stella Emulator. It seems there is a error in the Manual.

Theoreticallt the manual is not wrong depending on your system. Such as the Coleco Gemini which only plays Atari games has the B difficoulty swapped with the A difficoulty. Left and right are the same as the 2600 it is simply the label is opposing.

Yes the manuel is wrong is your going by an official Atari 2600
