@omargeddon:
I'm really excited to have it too! I just got the XEGS in the mail yesterday and it's my first Atari computer. =)
@Jin: it looks good, they gave it to you with the keyboard and light gun? ... my light gun on an old T.V. that I have does not aim very well ... I don't know what the cause might be

@omargeddon:
Yep! The person who sold it to me had kept it complete in box (minus the manuals). They keyboard is super mushy feeling but works fine, and I haven't had a chance to test the light gun yet but in my experience all the light guns for Atari systems aim a little bit off. I've had a couple from Best Electronics and one XE light gun before this one and they all shot an inch or two to the right of where they should.
@Jin: It is true!!! I have to point a little to the right hahaha ... try to missile Command ... just turn on the console ... bring that game integrated !!! haha I did not know until I mistakenly pressed the "ON" button and appeared Missile Command haha

I have an Atari XE too, just don't have any games for it yet. Where do you get a XEGS? I am impressed to see the original Atari XE Jostick!
@DakotaKid:
I bought it from someone on AtariAge who had it sitting in a storage locker unused for a long time. I just put up a "Want to Buy" ad in the Marketplace section and he contacted me a few days later offering to sell the like-new in box XEGS with keyboard, joystick, and light gun for $125 USD + shipping costs.
@Jin:
Your whole Atari XE bundle with box for $125 plus shipping sounds like an excellent deal! How about the XEGS, where can I find one to put roms on? My story on how I got my Atari XE is much different. About 10 years ago, I got the keyboard, console, cables & cords, and two disk drives from a large Atari lot sale that included the cocktail cabinet version of Asteroids. |
