YES on ALL! :)

I assume that the Trak-Ball Controller is more sturdy than the standard controller. It would have to be.

Thanks as always Mark :)

I picked this up untested as they all are sold that way it seems.
It didn't work LOL but was boxed and looked unused, still has the light blue plastic on the aluminum.

I probed around on the inside a bit, found a faulty ic chip, replaced it & boom back on trak.
Im pretty sure its worth quite a bit now, being tested and all.

id say this trak ball is the 2nd best home trak ball.
It only has those metal dome buttons found in Atari joysticks for fire.
Also it's as big as my Atari 7800laugh

Wico made a trak ball for Atari & Commodore but only has joystick mode.
These can be fitted with a new chip that turns them into TB only mode and has the best feel with a nice leaf switch fire button, it also weighs a ton.

AtariAge has a Trak-Ball Series for the 2600. Games re-coded to support a Trak-Ball Controller. This game is one that they offer. For the 2600 of course. :)

My Missile Command TB came in but sadly its not in the website database here...yet.
It reads my modded Wico track ball encoding as Atari mouse but works perfectly.

I'd like to get a Trak-Ball Controller, but as yet I haven't for fear that it would need repair work, something I'm not any good at.

I just rebuilt a CX-22 Trak ball if youd like to trade for it.
I put new dome buttons in, works perfect, has joystick Trak ball mode.
Galaxian is really fun with trak ball, im sure theres a few others.

I agree finding a working trak ball is not easy, most of em need work done.

If you get your Po box setup and have some doubles of games or whatever youd like to trade
theres a working trak ball here for ya

What's your favorite trac-ball, if the Atari 5200 is your second favorite?

A modded Wico Command Control Trak ball feels the best.
It seems everyone hated this trak ball cus it only has Joystick mode and does not have a true trak ball mode.

Great news!
You can fit a chip in place of the old one, then the Wico will output Trak ball mode and is the best trackball for the AtariAge Trak ball series, it also plays a great game of Missile Command on the Atari 8-bit line.

If Missile Command TB ever gets put in the system (hint hint) you guys will see!

That's cool, I like all trac-ball games.  Dan Kramer, who designed the Atari 5200 Trac-ball, has a copy of either Atari 5200 or Atari computer of Missle Command with 3 base stations, by the way.

...3 base stations (left, center, & right side) like in the arcade version.

Missile Command + on the 8-bit line, it has the three bases and works great with the modded Wico

Fun facts about this 5200 trak ball
I bought it for $58 shipped
Its boxed, looks unused
It sat in my work area for months...broke
Fixed it and played this ONE game of 5200 Missile Command then sent it on to it's new owner.
Goodbye 5200 Trak ball heart
