Is this game any good Mark? I'm looking for recommendations for games to play in emulation as I have some spare time at the moment :) Yes from me on all of course :)

It's ok. There are better versions out there but this one is quite playable. And thanks for the votes.

Yes from me.

Terrific version and very playable.  As usual, the ProSystem...delivers.

The 7800 is a system that deserved a far better fate than it had, although I must say that it wasn't the first system that I got.

New, my early systems I purchased (at full price) in the following order:

  • Atari VCS (Babbages I think)
  • Sega Master System (Toy 'R Us)
  • Nintendo Entertainment System (Toys 'R Us)
  • Sega Genesis (Wal-Mart)
  • Super NES (Toy's 'R Us)

Easrly systems I bought new, but heavily discounted:

  • Sega 32X ($19.95; Toy 'R Us; Additional games $7 each)
  • Atari 7800 ProSystem ($79.95; Outlets Mall; 20 Sealed 2600 games and 20 Sealed 7800 games came with it)
  • Atari Jaguar ($39.95; K.B. Toys; Additional game $7 each)

ProSystem has that epic version of Joust...and that Asteroids 3D that I used to have the record on (expert setting) but lost the evidence, the Centipede is top shelf, etc etc. plus a tailor-made platform for modern homebrews (like the Jaguar).  Beef Drop absolutely destroys me.  Is there a Defender homebrew for the 7800?
