Yes, it is a bit of an acquired taste this conversion given it is so memory/pattern reliant. I don't blame you for not wanting to play it again - it's so easy to die!

I played it a lot growing up, as it was one of the first copied games I had on tape. Never been that great at it though.

In recent times, I've also become very fond of the arcade original which is partially why I keep coming back to it.
