This took nearly 4 hours in one go to achieve. It's easier on the thumbs than using the real hardware but I'm not as good as on the real thing. Played in emulation on FreeIntv. The score (final) is at the bottom. Thanks for voting :)

@doguhnew: Yeah, absolutely. First time I tried to set the HS on my Intellivision, I fried the cpu. That's why I use the external cooling now. So this game whilst one of my favourites, cost me an intellivision :D

When I played it that time it really was a marathon session and I had no cooling measures at all, not even a fan. Iv'e learned my leason since then as you know. 

However, Astrosmash is very taxing on the CPU . It is well known for that. That coupled with the length off play when going for a high score does put the old girl through quite a lot.
