@S.BAZ:
There are two versions. The one that looks similar to the NES one with a little better graphics and then this one. Which I think is 8 years newer than the original of the same name. Actually this is Super Dodgball - Kubikubiyubikoy Kubikubiyubikoy = a made up word I thought of since I cannot remember the actual full name :) Super Dodge Ball / Kunio no Nekketsu Toukyuu Densetsu
@rtkiii:
oh, thank you! I'm always on the lookout for Kunio games. some day maybe I'll just do my homework ^.^ in case you didn't already know -- if that's the title for this one they're both related to the NES version for sure! :) "Kunio" is the name of your main character in the Japan-Famicom version of River City Ransom (Downtown Nekketsu Monagatari) which is the sequel to "Renegade" (Nekketsu Koha Kunio Kun) the original Kunio game. Translation: "Hot-Blooded Tough Guy Mr. Kunio" *LOL* =========================================== anyone here who hasn't played River City Ransom for the NES you gotta check it out if you like b'mups. this was my all-time favorite for years & still in my top 5 for NES. For a great time also check out the Japan-only sequel, "Downtown Special." one of a kind! there are a handful for NES but IMO, beyond 8-bit "Kunio" games begin to dwindle in all the areas that make them great, even though still quite enjoyable if given a chance. [EXCEPTION ! -- Scott Pilgrim vs. the World for PS3 & XBOX360 is no let-down by any means (^,:,^) ] if you know of any more 16-bit or later "Nekketsu / Hot-Blooded / Downtown / Kunio / River City" titles I'd love to hear about em more trivia I liked... Double Dragon was designed to be the sequel to Renegade but was made to stand alone when released. RCR became the "official" sequel.
