@RetroRob:
That is most certainly the standard model. I can tell by the trim. The Gold Limited Edition had gold trim, plus I doubt that the Gold Limited Edition would have found its way to an arcade. But at least you found one. I've played it a few times; it's a Steve Ritchie design, so I'll have to look for another to play.
@Mark: Thanks, Mark! I've discovered a webpage with a search engine for locations of pinball machines in Germany and some other european countries. This way I found 2 pinball machines in a small game hall near my place (Indiana Jones 4 & Wheel of Fortune). In case you find it interesting, or planning a trip to Europe ;-) here is the link: http://www.flippern.de/flipper_suchen.php
@RetroRob:
There's a site that lists pinball machines 'on location' in the U.S. called Pinside. I typed in where I live (Jacksonville, FL) in the locator at found all of the pinball machines that are 'on site' in various arcades, bars, etc. I found one near where I live that I hadn't known about, called Video Game Rescue Arcade. According to Pinside this arcade opened in 2014, and has 9 pinball machines, including tables by Data East, Gottlieb, Sega, Stern, and Williams. The cool thing about this site is it not only indicates which machines are where, but their condition as well. Pinside Page For Video Game Rescue Arcade, Jacksonville, Florida https://pinside.com/pinball/map/where-to-play/7346-video-game-rescue-arcade-jacksonville-fl#gameslist
@Mark: That's quite similar to the one that I found for my area! The feature indicating the table's condition is also present! Registered users can add machines and update a table's condition. I will register with the european version soon as similar to High Score this is another opportunity to contributing to and participating with the culture of arcade gaming.
Yups on all. Pity in my neighbourhood there aren't any arcades. Even in Belgium.. And when there is a retro event, most of them arcade machines are Hyperspin kinda machines...
@GTibel:
Check out www.flipperforum.be for an overview of all pinball tables in Belgium and The Netherlands known to the site members! The machines are not all in arcades but often hidden in pubs etc.! For my part I like my pinball and a beer anyway. |
