I'm going to have to give this another go too. I have both the SMS (Western) and SMS (Japanese) versions. The J-SMS version is cool because It supports FM sound. While the J-SMS contained the same Texas Instruments SN76489A sound chip that was used in other versions of the SMS, Game Gear, and Genesis/Mega Drive, the J-SMS also contained the Yamaha YM2413, which was also used in an expanision for the MSX. After Burner for the J-SMS supports the Yamaha chip, which improves the sound a great deal. Anyway ... voting YES! |
