He point farms for almost the entire two hours. Doesn't seem in the spirit of HighScore, unless of course another entry was submitted for Alien Syndrome (any rules).

Sorry Don. You're scores generally seem legit. But I can't get behind point farming. blush

@TheTrickster:

 I don't think twin galaxies allows point farming, I'll have look at the video when I'm in front of the computer. If there's a timer in the game then it's considered point pressing and is ok

Trickster is correct. I should have added this from my submission at TG:

I was going for a maxout score on this - turns out that it keeps going over 1 million points. After 1 million points you no longer earn extra lives. I ended up quitting with 3 lives remaining just due to being weary of the game.

Because the lives run out and there is a timer, it's technically point-pressing as opposed to leeching. Boring though, very boring.

Not my cup of tea playing games like that. And like Trickster says, it will keep other players off playing this. I would have submitted/requested this as a separate game.

Nevertheless, nice setup you've got there and quite some endurance laugh yes

Well before I vote on any of Don's submissions, I'd like to get some clarity around this. After all, there don't appear to be any clear guidelines on what is or isn't considered OK when it comes to point leaching / farming / whatever else you want to call it.

Is the general consensus that as long as there is a time limit and lives, then players are within their rights to sit in the one spot and farm points? If that's how everyone else is going to vote, then I'm not going to go against the flow.

I don't farm when going for high scores, but that's mostly because I just don't have time to sit in the one spot and kill respawning enemies for over an hour in a video game. Could there be anything more boring?
