I might get an Everdrive for the Genesis/Mega Drive. It'd be able to handle SMS ROMs, as the Genesis/Mega Drive has SMS hardware in it. The adapter that SEGA sold to allow SMS games to be played on a Genesis/Mega Drive was essentially a fancy cartridge adapter.

@Mark: Buy it I have an Everdrive for Genesis and works fine with SMS Roms and check some Roms from the Sega Game Gear.

Agreed, buy one. I have the mega drive with the official powerbase converter for SMS but it exactly what you say, an adaptor. Handy for card games though. I now use an Everdrive on near all my 16/8 bit consoles.
