I decided to comment here as opposed to in the forums or elsewhere.

There are quite a few games for the 2600 that I've submitted requests for. I appreciate you processing Astronomer, but some of these requests date back ages.

  • Alligator People [Games 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9] Atari Compedium has a WR score for this game. Why can't we?
  • Base Attack (PAL Exclusive)*
  • The Byte Before Christmas: Santa's Scabs (Home Brew)
  • Fantastic Voyage [Game 2, Game 4, Game 5, Game 6]
  • Galactopus (Home Brew)
  • Mappy (Home Brew)
  • Oystron [Intermediate] i.e. Game 2 (Home Brew)
  • Parachute (PAL Exclusive)*
  • Paris Attack (PAL Exclusive)*
  • Piñata: Heart Break (Home Brew)
  • Piñata: Ping (Home Brew)
  • Space Game (Home Brew)
  • Super Cobra Arcade (Home Brew)

*I can currently only play this game via emulation, but I am actively searching for physical copies.

I've posted a new entry to my blog at Atari Age that might interest you, as it covers a new home brew being released this month for the 2600 from Packrat Video Games.

Thanks for adding Astronomer. As for contacting Serious, he never replies to any of my out-reaches to him.

Here's the link that lists all of the Administrators and what systems they handle. Some systems have no Administrator ( but do have volunteers willing to take on the responsibilities of Administrator for those systems.

I added Astronomer for 2600.  Using the settings as I understood from the development thread: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/270313-done-astronomer-development-thread/

Hopefully I got it right...

I'm having trouble understanding the settings for Magical Drop 2 (SNES).  All the roms and videos I've found have it in Japanese.

I found this faq:

although it seems somewhat complicated, and doesn't seem to match the settings you've requested.  Maybe this is due to different translations?

Can you direct me to an English translation version of this game?  And does this faq look right to you?

Iv'e messaged him on his profile page although he hasn't replied to a message in over 2 years. Hopefully he still reads them.

Thank you for offering.  Unfortunately I'm unable to delegate any admin. abilities.   You can try messaging Serious, he's the only one who can do it.  For now I'll continue working on requests.  I've come to accept that at least for now, there are always tons of requests waiting in the queue.  I've never been able to get it caught up.  Wenever I get it significantly chopped down, a flood of more requests immediately comes on, keeping the list huge.  All I can do is just add games and call it good.

Somewhere on highscore.com there is a list of all admins for every platform.  I've forgotten where to find it though!

Ninja Odyssey done.

If you want to admin for Intellivision you can try messaging Serious.  He's the one who can give you that access.  I'm not sure he's interested in having more admins at this time, but it can't hurt!  Thanks for offering, we definitely could use the help.

Please process my requests for the 2600. If you're too busy then I'd be happy to be the back-up Administrator for the 2600. I know that I can't process my own requests, but I know some have also been requested by other users.

I would like to be made either the back-up or primary adminstrator for the Atari 2600. There are a whole host of people willing to serve in such a capacity for a whole host of gaming platforms. There seems to be quite a backlog of pending game requests for several systems.

There are no pending requests for the Sega systems that I am responsible for, as I generally check twice daily and process those games that are requested within' 24 hours.

Also, if you are looking for an Intellivision Admin, I am fairly knowledgeable on the Inty and would be happy to help smiley

Hi mate

Ninja Odyssey for Intellivision has been added already. There are 2 different versions of this cartridge , 1 with fire shooting ghosts and 1 without (which is much easier).

As the WR score soon to be approved is for the Non fire shooting ghost version, would you be able to add the other version please? Maybe call it  Ninja Odyssey (Fire Breathing Ghosts)

Iv'e added it to the requested games ID number 28760.

That makes sense.

Oh, there's a huge backlog of game requests still waiting to be processed. The ones that I care about most are homebrews that I own for the 2600. Mappy, Space Game, and Super Cobra Arcade. My phone is kind of getting to be a mess what with all of the photos for these games. I could import them into my PC, but then I'd eventually loose track of them.

Do you know who the Administrator is for the Atari 2600? I have quite a few requests that still need to be processed.

Yeah, there are a number of Atari games entered with both A and B settings, even though the game doesn't use them, or it's irrelevant to game play (such as turning the music off and on).

At the beginning when tons of 2600 games were getting added, Serious decided at some point to start adding all of them with both categories, even if the manual says the switches aren't used.  This was due to some people finding differences in the code of a few games, showing that for some games the switches actually DO make a difference even though the manual says they don't.  He said if it can be proven later on that the switches do nothing, then the charts can be consolidated later, no harm done.  Whereas if all scores were listed together on the same chart, and THEN it's found the switches matter, it would be a mess to sort out.

So unfortunately we have some redundant 2600 charts.

In relation to the Atari 2600 game Gas Hog I think the Expert/A difficulty might be a mistake. I played it through emulation and there didn't seem to be any difference between it and a game played in Novice/b. I checked the manual scan at Atari Mania and it makes no mention of the difficulty switches at all.

Hi, some user told me you can do something for my request ( magical drop 2 / snes). if you have the time, that would be cool. Thanks for the good work, Grand Master.

Several Atari Age releases that I've submitted requests for are awaiting processing.

*Denotes a game I've ordered   **Denotes a game I own

Alligator People (Atari 2600)**
Mappy (Atari 2600)*
Piñata: Heart Break (Atari 2600)**
Piñata: Ping (Atari 2600)**

Space Game (Atari 2600)**
Super Cobra Arcade (Atari 2600)*

Piñata somehow got into the system here as Piñata. This is a 5 game multi-cart that I bought from Atari Age several years ago, but has since been discontinued. I believe due to a C&D order forcing them to remove it. I have no idea how many copies are floating around, but I have one and I found a play video on Youtube.

Oh, the latest news. Someone mentioned to me at Atari Age that there is such a thing as a paid subscriber. I'm now an annual paid subscriber ($30). I wish that I had known about this sooner, as it entitles me to (amoung other things) 5% off all Atari Age Store purchases. The past month only I've averaged spending $80 each week there. I could have saved quite abit of money
