The score crosses the 1 million point mark at 11:19 of the 3rd video
I welcome all challengers...
You would do well at Super Zaxxon for MAME.
Very similar pace.
I split the video into 3 parts as my phone records only 1 hour of footage at a time:
The score rolls over at the 1,000,000 point mark at 4:46 of the 3rd video.
I welcome all challengers...
Haha, thanks Larquey.
I always enjoy the competition.
I had a question before I vote.
When I play both the "US" and "World" version in MAME, my default settings are 1 life, which will display as a "0" when starting gameplay. The US manual shows the default setting at 2 lives which would diplay as "1" upon commencing gameplay. With your version you begin with 3 lives which diplays as "2". Which one is accurate? Is there a way to display DIP switch settings in Pandora's box? I really wish there was consistency among the various MAME releases and variants.

Members have requested video submissions for Worldwide High Scores.
I currently have a 50% legit rating on this video submission. 3 in favor, 3 against.
I have a delivered a legit Worldwide High Score, introduced myself, showed the DIP switches, with the full gameplay and STILL I am not trusted.
This trolling is getting ridiculous!!!
I eagerly await your response...
Thanks Omar. You always got my back

Apparently I am getting NO votes do to the follwing reasons:
"I don't trust the submitter due to past actions, reputation, or their legit rating."
I think the trolls are just jealous because they probably suck at gaming.
Anytime they want to challenge me on a score, I'll be ready...
Voted YES. Nice score

4 YES, 2 NO
Agreed. The scores will go through eventually.
It just sucks having our legit percentages take a hit
Looks legit to me.
Are you concerned about voting against yourself
I have. It's quite frustrating. I imagine they are just jealous that we are putting up big scores
Haters gonna hate.
Had it for a while now
I've actually had it for years. Decided to dust it off and throw up some scores. I'm starting to run out of games to play on my MAME system
To have a more visible representation between the "3" and the "5"
Man, 8-bit games look like hell on newer LCD screens!!! It was hard to make out the score initially, so I fired up the same game using the Dega emulator to check the difference between the "3" and the "5". As you can see, the middle bar of the "5" continues all the way through, wheras the "3" only goes about halfway. Based upon the evidence in the last screenshot, I can confidently claim that my score was 455,500.
I have a hard time uploading pictures with a high contrast onto this site. It keeps rejecting the upload. I had to crop this picture and change it to Grayscale in order to submit it.
I had to take a really quick picture of the score as it is only displayed once when the game ends.
How dare you
The Bull strikes again!!!
Nice score Bull
You're guess is as good as mine?
"Normal" is definitely the default setting that I have. Just checked again. I would assume the DIP switch settings would not among different MAME releases?
Are you sure? My entire M.A.M.E. library is set to the factory default DIP switch settings.
I just reclaimed the title
The Lightning Fighters battle rages on...

Yup, I used to take video with my phone. However, I feel that showing the DIP switches and my name badege with my initials should be sufficient prove that the score was achieved by me in a legitimate setting.

Not bad actually. Almost like a medieval Galaxian.
Only 34 Quadrillion points?
Thanks dude. Just goin' through my Hyperspin wheel and trying to knock off some of the more obscure titles. I'm running out of games to play

I find many of the Sega arcade ports to play quite "gummy" for lack of better term.
Almost in slow motion
Looks legit to me. You show the dips and are clearly playing the game in the video.
I have no idea why someone would vote NO?
You beat my score
My score using a Logitech WingMan RumblePad on the same game using emulation is 59,440.
I'm using an original Atari 2600 joystick that needs some repairs as it is quite stiff and the fire button doesn't work very well.
Hence the low scores
Haha, and it is definitely NOT a very good score
Now that's how it's done

I used to have tons of emulators and roms on my phone. I didn't like the touchscreen controls.
Now I mostly play the Pinball Arcade emulator.
A big YES vote here!!!
You're killing my scores
A great and very hard game
Oops, I looked at the wrong score
I'll take this down tonight
At the end of the video I incorrectly enter my initials as "JE" instead of "JES".
I was in a rush to accurately capture my final score on video because the game only displays the Top 7 high scores
I'm good at some dodging games
One of the toughest bosses in gaming history
Thanks guys. I'll have to give this another shot
Yeah, I suck at this. Clearly not understanding the controls
I downloaded the profile pic off the High Score Facebook page and added my initials to the image in Photoshop

My collection consists of an Atari 2600 VCS, an NES, a Sega Master System, and my Sega Blast City arcade cabinet.
I also use Stella for Atari emulation.
The cabinet is a Sega Blast City running on a Windows XP tower.
I use HyperSpin as a front end running MAME 0.139
Great game!!! Used to play this in the arcades back in 89/90.
We should go head-to-head sometime
You're allabout the shmups

Definitely no continues were used in this game.
It was played on a 150-in-1 multi-cabinet. Not sure if that makes a difference in scoring?
The button mapping is a bit off on this game.
Need to investigate...
I love these Game & Watch and Coleco emulators
Thanks brother. You rock!!!

I put up a score recently that I wasn't very proud of.
This new score I can get behind
I haven't seen any yet
Did I see some Americans?
I alway find it amusing when someone votes NO and their reason is "I wanted to see better evidence of the settings of the game, system, or emulator".
Dude, I clearly show my face, state my name, show the DIP switches, play the game, showcase my cabinet, and reveal my score. However, this is still not good enough for some of these trolls.
Hell, I guess I'll have to come over to their Mom's house and play it for them
Considering that I hit 700K a few weeks ago with M.A.M.E., I consider 263K to be rather low.
I stopped by the local arcade today and put up a rather unimpressive score in Galaga.
Apparently it's a World Record!!!
Voted YES to your scores
Haha. I dropped it at the very end
Not sure if I understand the question?
I upload videos to show the DIP switch settings and to prove that I played the game.
Other members doubted my scores submitted with just a picture. I have now gone and re-done many scores with full video.
Maybe you're a bit pissy with all those cracked trophies on display.
Time to tighten up your game...
The next time I want your damn opinion I'll ask!!!
Someone is a little on edge...
It's actually a Sega Blast City cabinet running the Hyperspin frontend and M.A.M.E.
So much fun
I find it hilarious that someone noted NO to my score and their reason was that "I believe the evidence could have been doctored or stolen." Once again, you can clearly see me in the video, I introduce myself, show the DIP switch settings, and then record myself playing the game. What part of this evidence would appear to be "doctored" or "stolen"?

I've been tracking my score in this game since the summer of 1996.
Due to the video recording limitations on my phone, the evidence provided is split into 3 parts:
I get to Level 60 with 624,330 points, dual ship with 3 lives left and 33 minutes of video
Resumes at Level 65 with 673,040 points, dual ship with 1 life left and 14 seconds of video
Resumes at Level 66 with 681,870 points, dual ship with 1 life left and 3 minutes of video
Got my first trophy!!!

Someone voted negatively because they couldn't tell if it was really me who achieved the score?
I'M IN THE VIDEO PLAYING THE DAMN GAME!!!
If this is not evidence enough, something is truly flawed with this system of voting and validation.
Considering that M.A.M.E. emulates a variety sytems including PlayChoice 10 games, I don't see the issue with including it under the [NES/Famicom Emulated] category. The gameplay is identical to that of an NES emulator like Nester or Nesticle.
My entry was appropriatley filed under the category of "NES/Famicom Emulated". And yes, I am playing this PlayChoice 10 version of Pro Wrestling using M.A.M.E.
Thanks for the vote.
