So many games I've never played on the og Gameboy. Always interesting seeing those..
Also.. OK Boomer.
Video apperently removed. Photo is fine with me, yes.
Played it on emu a couple days ago. Super hard game.
It's a feature. ;) The NES CPU is about 70% faster. I've played it with turbo CPU at 7mhz, and then it runs perfectly at 60fps. :)
Damn, now i want to get the Wii setup and running again.. :)
Use the free open source OBS Studio. It's extremely easy to record gameplay either fullscreen or windowed. Highly recommended.
I added a new track.
http://highscore.com/game/?g=86334&enterscore=1
Feel free to add more requests under the same category. Cheers.
There's currently 1329 pending requests, it's kinda hard going through alot of them due to wrong categorization etc etc.
Game crashed at the start of level 11.
Fans of Oh Mummy will recognize this game.
I highly recommend part 4. Absolutely fantastic.
Never knew you could grab enemies and throw them. Not that I've played it much, but anyways.. O.o
Looks like a really good Breakout clone. Thumbs up for original (rare) hardware.
Weird I dunno.. Fairlight cracked Pinball Dreams by The Silents. We cracked Rubicon by Fairlight. What goes around comes around.. I strongly belive piracy has never hurt anyone. Piracy = preservation.
Yes. Nice to see someone put up a new maximum score with video. GG.
A game by Melon Design? Looks dope. I assume it's not cracked by Crystal? ;)
Thx to Frankie for pointing out the slighty embarrasing "adventure" in the title instead of "fantasy". Seems like ¤someone¤ might have been intoxicated while adding the entry to the dB.
Amazing looking game. Have you installed a SID-chip in your +4?
Man, I love these cheesy games collections.. Never played this before, looks pretty sweet.
What version of the game are you playing? I have v1.2 and there's no autofire..
Was it added to later revisions? If so, I can make a new entry Galencia VX.X [Normal].
Auto fire is used. I'm voting no.
Please submit a request for Galencia [Normal] [Autofire].
Please submit multicade stuff under the correct category: emulated.
You're scores belong under Arcade emulated becouse that's what they are, emulated.
I don't belive so, I took the safe road making it 2.18 instead.
Cool, I don't think I've ever played this. Goal set. ;)
There's a good site called Emuparadize which has alot of roms.
Det är ett indiespel, kostar 10 spänn om jag inte minns helt fel.
Du måste söka för att hitta det.
Oh, I didn't know there was a second revision.. Always hated the grey bullets. Time to give this another go!
No, these should go into their own 3DS VC category.
Must be based on some japanese show, I actually found it quite fun..
Can't recall on the dificulty, but seeing I've only scored 160k-ish seems odd. :)
Yepp, and you're a great player as well!
Looking good.
Seeing you have over 50 PC Engine records over at TG, I'm out of the competition for sure. :)
wht da. Wow. This looks extremely crappy, the worst DK clone ever? :)
Played it lots in the arcades, gotta say this port is excellent..
Cybernoid mania! All I can hear is JT's great title track in my head. ;)
Looks really good, more games to play, YAY! :)
I gotta say the BBC Micro version is the best.
Newly released homebrew. Plays really well, and it's kinda easy too. ;)
What what? Looks just like a crappy Speccy game to me?
3 glowing stars on every submission, impressive times! Good work, DVG!
Welcome to hs.com, kads333.
This should be under normal PC category, resubmit.
Where is your new avatar from, Bazzy Baz Baz?
The C64 version is borked as well, there's several levels where the ball can get stuck forever.
It has a fantastic soundtrack, while loading the game the old fashioned way.
By far my favorite Double Dragon tune!
Just unlocked Clu Clu Land, now I know which times I have to beat. :)
I'll try and make some videos this weekend.
Basiclly you're given a specific task on each stage.. F.ex. jump over 3 barrels in DK.
Yepp, there is no such thing as an Apidya II, they just named it II but it's widely known as just Apidya
Enough of score spamming for today.
Thanks for taking the time to vote.
Wonder why someone is voting no, YES from me as ofcourse.
No photo evidence for this one.
Great game, a cross between Pac-Man and Nibbler.
Hello there, Red Baron! Time for video games and the Euro. Forza Sweden!
Great game, also check out the superb sequel for Wii:
Impressive, even better then Cheif Arino!
Was there an official port, or is this a homebrew? looks pretty slick.
Fantastic piece by Sir Rob Hubbard. :)
Sorry for sideway photos, I'm not used to iOS and apperently the freakin Iphone don't auto switch photos from vert to hori. :/
Do you know of any difference between the two?
4,4 million is a great score.. You've entered 44 million tho.
As this is set on "Very Hard" I've created a new track for that setting.
What a strange coincidence one of the many friends of Maxwell decided to make a comment on this particular score indeed.
Yeah, this one you can play forever basiclly.
Played on a NES you say.. Then submit into the correct category, and not emulation. Welcome to hs.com!
Aw, playing video games and drink. What a spledid combination, for a few drinks.. :)
I think it looks extremely shitty, also this Derek guy can't play for shit.
Had a game going today, video recording began to stutter after a while, but even worse: The game crashed at 5850.
I wil try the dump of the original and see how it behavs, if it dosn't work either I'll ask on of my AMIGA friends on the cracking scene to take a look.
Dear Mark.
As stated in another submission thread, your submissions takes ages to load due to all the pics included. As you're a trusted member of this community one picture containing your initials will do.
I see no reason to add 3 pics unrelated to your score submission?
Game on! :)
Well, when i played the game for this submission, it was the first time I've played the game for years, so I defintely took a carefull approuch. :)
How old is your computer? I wipe my Windows PC:s atleast every second year, they tend to be cluttered and slow.
Also, I've never had a crash ingame. Try to set the chipmem to 1 MB, that's what I always use, and kickstart 1.3 ofcourse.
I wonder If it can handle recording of a 2 hours+ game tho?
Playing the Elite release on my lappy now, hangs after game over but seems to work in-game. Tried to stream to Twitch, but my lappy couldn't handle it.. It seems to be good enough to record a video tho, so I might try a run and beat my own score this weekend. :)
Ah, it seems i've used a release by Elite. Get it here:
Lots of releases are bugged (VF, Quartex etc). I belive this is a raw dump of the original and should work fine:
Oh, it's finally out? :) Yes yes yes. Downloading.
Damn, looks like I have to get back to playing BB again. ;)
Nice score.
I have sweet memories of this game. There's ton of secrets in this as well. Yes, ofcourse.
I ofcourse say yes to the score, dunno about HSV tho.
Forza St. Pauli!
Decided to upload a poor score for one of my favorite shmups.. Sorry for the poor video quality, I'm currently using a lappy.
SCORE: 146.004 (Level 1) + 23361 (Level 2) = 169365.
On arcade with a proper stick i used to be able to reach level 5. Crazy (!) good game this, try it. Don't forget to pick up all disco men. ;)
What version do you use, I know some releases like Vision Factory's and Quartex' hangs from time to time. I can't recall which release I used, but I think it was a raw dump of the original.
Go go go. :)
My computer is broken so no video recording of WinUAE I'm afraid. Don't even know if the emu runs on my old lappy..
Yepp, Amiga version is really fast compared to the C64.
Sure, WinUAE all the way. Let me know if you want a copy of my image dump.
I'll do a video and beat it. I love it to death, so I hope I can improve! :)
Tutankham is a hard game..
Tomorrow I'll take a look at what games we've done worst in.. Let's see in we're willing to grind some of these games. ;)
Hey Matalow, you know you can submit as many scores as you want to on IGBY, right? :)
All games that have been in previous tournaments are banned.
Maxwel: Too bad you didn't sign up for IGBY.
I played a little, have to give it another shot when I have some spare time over.
Screen shot only unfortunately:
http://highscore.com/score/index.php?s=29004
Game on and thanks for voting!
OK. Tried to upload video to You Tube while rendering another video + capturing + playing a game on my Game Boy emulator = BLUE SCREEN.
I'll do snaps only when it comes to GB+GBC and SNES+NES compo. Cheers and thanks for voting.
Oh, BTW: Here's my 100% voted legit score on real HW: http://highscore.com/scores/GameBoyColor/CoolBricks/14757
It's midsummer eve in Sweden. I'm drunk. I've lost my phone, so a snap of emulator window + my personal home page on here have to do.
The bonus timer goes down really fast on this (homebrew) version so the best strategy is to clear each stage as fast as possible.
Cheers and thanks for voting.
Is this the default mode on the official Tetris by EA?
One of the best, if not the best game on the commie for sure. Great score, mate.
I'm skipping. Game is still in Beta and should be labeled as such.
Voted yes as always on your scores as you present good evidence.
This submission however got me thinking after i voted: Isn't this game in beta still? I might have missed the final release, but if it's still beta I belive this should be categorized correctly as [Beta VX.XX]
Even the british sell french cables these days. Bastards.
Also: I think the devs are making a bigger game out of this title, renaming it due to the fact there's already a game with the same name. And band. :)
Also, yeah.. I live in Sweden, it's light all around the clock during the summer. :)
It's a clone of 2048, one of the most popular iOS/Android games. Check it out. :)
The old "Breadbin" plastic case but white, and with white keyboard. Not super rare, but really sweet IMHO. Only released in Germany if I remember correctly. Released around 87-ish. Hold on to it. :)
Great run. I think I never reached trip 2 as a child. :)
Decent coin up conversion, no? I played it lots anyways. ;)
Why request a game that does not have scoring?
I belive your playing a preview (read: demo) released by TRC-SCS in the mid 90's? As far as I remember it never was finished and saw a commercial release.
Phalanx II was rather good if I remember correctly. I have a huge collection of AMIGA warez, lemme see if I can find a working version.
Most of those early Commodore games got released on cart.
Welcome to hs.com, McKong. :)
Great scores rarely pass on here without any sort of identification. Some pictures showing the hardware, a name tag of some sorts when taking a pic of the screen etc.
Video is always prefered ofcourse!
I see you got really low "legit ratings" for all your Atari 8-bit scores posted. 80% is req. for them to pass.
Game on!
Quality is good enough I'd say. Cool game also! :)
What's the name of the device?
.. You keep on shouting, You keep on shouting..
Bam Tjaa..
Are you OK with me sending a friend request on Facebook?
Cool. You lived in the US during the 80's, or how come you had a NTSC C64?
I was kind of disapointed when I discovered TG and there was hardly any records for C64 PAL.
How did you record your games back in the 80's? VHS?
But you used to own a NTSC machine? What happened to it?
Speaking of your TG records, no love for C64 PAL?
Really bad evidence, but such a low score.. I'll vote yes.
Nice one.
Any hints were I can find those joypad overlays? :)
Then it should go under emulation, or if you know the name of the multiboard PCB: F.ex. 60-in-1?
Multicade you say, so not a original Mr. Do's Caste PCB?
https://obsproject.com/
http://help.twitch.tv/customer/portal/articles/1462621-xsplit-gamecaster
It has it's moments, and the music is ace.
Yeah, I think it still holds up today.. And it sure is mesmerizing, I'll never forget my first multiball. It took pinball to a new level which never got topped IMHO.
Can we get a small review of this version from the champ? ;)
Great pin, really revolutionary when it came out.. I remember how cool I thought it was back then.
You know what's up (or rather down) with WOS?
Also: Best game hands down for the Speccy. IMHO.
Oh, I have to do a run on the C64 version with names from Highscore members. :) :) :) Very tempting.
At first I thought maybe it was a Frogger clone I've never played. :)
Probably not.. I'm focusing on Donkey Kong and Kicker (TGES) for the time being..
Someday tho, someday.. ;)
It's a Wii, which is GC backwards compatible. Looking good.
Me, Shin and jfetzer is looking forward to some competition on the C64! ;)
There will always be someone who vote's no now and then, you still got over 95% credibility overall.
About the score: Looks good.
Maybe add a revision number to the current track?
Sorry for the partial recording; Had a good game going so decided to stream ball 3 and a couple extra balls.
Oh, I see you're new around here. Welcome.
You should probably do the opposite tho, post the video here with more evidence instead of the other way around.
I can clearly see you've scores 144,000 (MSH), but why did you submit "Cessnaace" score of 276,000?
Did you play the PAL version, or does Fusion lag as hell?
I have problems recording video from Genesis emulators. :(
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nebulus_%28video_game%29
Educate yourself. ;)
One of many great games created in the UK during the micro era.
Whtda!
Is this a newly emulated ROM? Never seen or even heard about this before.
In my opinion: No.
I'm not aware of any exploits regarding time for this game tho.
It's hard to prove no exploits were used for handhelds, tricky to make video of game play.
Yeah, thinking about getting it for the Vita, so there's something playable on the good damn console.
What are the rules of what? Speedrunning in general or shortest level time in Mario?
These scores does ofcourse belong here as any other game that tracks points/time etc.
For speedrunning most, if not all people clock from the time the player gets in control, to the finish line.
That's a nice colly of tabletops you got there.
Nice score!
Cool. My guess is you was a C64 guy back in the days. Do you think there's better games for the Atari? :)
There's a Frankie signed up, I thought it was you.
Well, I don't care about silly names. I'm looking forward to play.
You're both on the same team as me, right?
Hubbard's rendition of the SID tune is fantastic. A little choppy, but still awesome for a ZX game. ;)
Who's voting this down? Geez.
Great score on the best DJ JR.
I'll use this as a recreational game during the MAME Olympics. ;)
The visuals are nice, unfortunately the game play is so so..
Yeah, Buster Bros or Pang as it's known over here is a super good game indeed!
Funny.. I got myself a Mega Drive the other day with some kiddy games, this included. Never got past the first stage tho. Nice to have a guide. ;)
The console flash gives a very strong indication that it was played on real hardware. Good enough evidence for me.
I see you still got a couple no votes. That's a pity. May I ask what reason they give? On your main page click the legit rating and you'll get them.
For some reason I was very fascinated by this game when I was a kid.. I belive it was the wibe, cause it ain't a good game. ;)
Couldn't get this running under emulation. My guess is I haven't missed much? :)
Yeah, it's freakin' awesome. Very rare japanese game with superb artwork and a great soundtrack. A must play!
And even better if you find them yourself ofcourse. ;)
Oh, sweet. I love secrets in video games. :)
I played it on the C64, but never realised it was based on the telly show which had a totally different name here in Sweden.
You learn something new everyday. :)
It should. But this is not the same cart. There is one for GB (Called Vol. 4 I belive) and one for the GBC.
I assume you played Vol. 2, the Gameboy Color cart for this Jfetz?
Neat, I never knew about that trick you pull off at the beginning.
In Europe it was the other way around. The Master System did fairly well, I belive Sweden was the only country were the Nintendo was alot bigger then SMS. The Mega Drive also had quite a strong following, but nothing compared to how big the Genesis was in the US.
Cool.. Never played this one.
Soon you've played through the the whole history of shooting games. ;)
And while you struggle to get a good pic people all around you look and wonder: What is wrong with that guy.
Yeah, same gameplay. Not the same game cart tho!
Oh, first emulated PSP score.. Do I get some kind of special trophy for that? :)
I own this for the PSP but decided to make a emulated run cause the game is not well known but very very good.
The full version? Gimme. I'm a dirty pirate, but I wouldn't dare of making a profit on someone else's property. :)
I got an AMIGA at a friends place in town. Just too damn lazy picking it up tho. ;)
More info: :)
http://www.classicarcadegaming.com/games/mm/ss.htm
Set 1 seems to be the easiest.
Anyways, great score!
I could have sworn it was harder, and included fire. Is there another version of this maybe?
Oh, if it's not Pac-Man hacks, it's freakin' Donkey Kong hacks with Pac-Man graphics.
Frankie: I think we can push this one to 999 and beyond?
I loved this as a kid, I remember it really felt like I were resqueing these people.
Don't get too involved with these Atari people. ;)
Nice. Never heard of this before, but realised it's a Arkanoid clone. Will check it out through emulation.
Oh, I could have sworn I had a score up for this one.. Nice score!
From what I understand there's no active cracker scene on the Atari?
That's a shame, really. I heard this is some sort of early proto that has been rebuild? I just don't get why some people belive it's OK to sell new games / hacks of old (but still copyrighted) brands. If they do, they should ATLEAST also spread the ROM / image IMHO.
Have you played Burai Fighter on the NES? It rules. :)
With a maxed out score like this, you should have requested it under [Any Tactics]. Or is there no leeching involved in this score?
Hey Ed.
This Evolution game you've requested for PC, where do I find info about it on the web?
Cheers!
Not played on default difficulty setting. Request this variation as:
Super Ghouls N Ghosts [Pro] and resubmit.
Great run tho! :)
At the same time I agree with you, Derek. There have been controllers supporting auto fire since the 80's. If some people already have used auto fire for some submissions, maybe there should be a rule that specifies that it's allowed? What do I know? :)
I (and many with me) have never used auto fire. Have you used auto fire, Derek? What submissions?
That's a no no atleast for me.
Another reason why pics sucks for most submissions, also there need to be clearer rules on that I belive.
I know "Kollosion" (a great, great SHMUP player from Brazil) stopped submitting score here as he uses auto fire most of the time.
No frame skipping (if that is what you mean) is allowed, that's clearly emulator advantages. Same goes for auto fire ofcourse.
It's just a setting on You Tube. Make sure it's embedded for play on other web sites then YT.
Fab!
Videos for the other scores as well please. You're truly a great gamer and I'd love to see game plays of those.
Game on!
There's no doubt in my mind these as legit, but you will probably need video for scores like this to make 'em pass.
I'm voting no, video desired. Really hope to see more video evidence from you in the future.
.. And welcome to Highscore.com!
I miss those times too. BTW: Have you seen this one? If not, check it out.
http://www.frombedroomstobillions.com/
Magicical. I don't even had a Speccy, but I always bought both Zzap! and Crash.
Good game, Derek!
It just hit me how different this actually is from Salamander on the arcade. I'd even say this seems harder.
Me too Darryl. This (also under the Baraduke name) and Bubble Bobble were the two machines they didn't remove from my local arcade.
"I'm Your Friend".
They sure didn't sold me into the game with that summery, and I still think it was for nostalgic reasons.
I never read YS anyways, only Crash. :)
Pretty decent I think, good controls. Some unique game mechanics. I'm most sure I'll play it again. ;)
The music is horrible tho.
It IS impressive for a 1983 Speccy game. I totally understand why it was so popular back then.
But today? I think it sucks. I'm pretty sure it's all nostalgia. ;)
Interesting. Is there any way to leech/farm in this version?
Nearly arcade quality console game. Unusual for it's time.
The C64 plays way better, and is ranked as the best version of the game.
Beamrider is probably my favorite Activision game after Call of Duty.
Just let 'em be.
We've had to those scores submitted twice already? Move along.
Wow, a Konami shooter for NES that i haven't played. O.o
Welcome to HS.COM!
Next time please use a name tag in your photo. Voting yes.
That's a good looking WSC. Chrismas gift from yourself? :)
You should have something called P.SIZE och Picture Size on your remote control. Set it to 4:3 for the correct aspect ratio.
If you're on Windows use a picture program.. Like Irfanview for example. http://www.irfanview.com/
I think you all mix up Line Runner with Canabalt which are two totally different games.
Nice videos. It sure looks like a really decent conversion..
BTW: I got a game you should try out, it's called "Acid Trap". :)
No worries. I am sure the request team will handle them in time. ;)
Never got into DK JR before, but after playing the C64 version i tried out the arcade and NES version as well. IMO the NES version is superior and a really great game.
I'll check the RGCD games out this weekend, so expect your mediocre scores to be beaten. ;)
If you play any other version, make a new request.
Nice to see you here, Tim!
Heard anything about a possible release date for Man Vs. Snake?
Haven't had the time playing any RGCD compo entry so far. What's your favorite's?
No doubt, but would you have a BBQ when there's -3 celsius and snow outside? :)
Sure, and I'll have another go at Clu-Clu Land. ;)
Well, The Mega Drive (as it's called here in Sweden/Euro Land) is actually cheap due to the fact "everyone" are collecting NES and the Swedish branded cart's: "SCN". But who want's a 50hz Mega Drive running at 50 FPS when you can get a 60hz Genesis? :)
I'm looking into getting both a american NTSC NES, and a SEGA Genesis NTSC.
I think it will fit perfectly when i win the Everdrive for NES. :)
Aaah.
How much does a Genesis + Frogger cost in the US? :)
There's literally 100's of great games not currently in the Db. :)
Hey, Kernz. Just because it's played off a pirated multi cart instead of the original ROM don't justify a new entry IMHO.
What's your take on this?
Yeah. More washing machines, FTW!
Like Derek said, highly addictive game. Typical early Nintendo made game for the NES, pure quality.
Another one that is just the same as the original, only played of a pirate cart?
Looks just like Spartan-X (aka Kung-Fu).
I see no difference in gameplay from the original Pac-Man version for the NES?
Plays just like Donkey Kong. The only difference is the name?
The same goes for this one, as 1942. Exactly the same game, but with horrible graphics bugs. Why on earth do you submit scores for these?
Why on earth do you play a version of 1942 that is exactly the same as the orignal, only with graphics bugs from hell?
One of the easier real hacks (not counting the millions of graphics hacks) of Super Mario Bros.
It's indeed excellent. It was released a couple weeks ago, and is based on the Atari 7800 version.
Do you have a Stella adeptor or do you emulate padde controls with a mouse?
Good score.
Great to see more compeition on Pinball Arcade. I'll boot it up again one of these days. :)
For some reason this game is really popular in Japan. They even did a remake for the PS3. O.o
This has to go under emulation as it is emulation. ;)
Good score, Derek.
Officially licensed game. Read more about it here:
If I win the Atari 8-Bit contest, which looks unlikely due to Kernzy submitting tons of scores still I'm actually thinking about buying a NTSC Atari800XL.
Quality game by RARE. Now i know a little how to play this as well. ;)
Actually I didn't know this was an arcade game before i googled it. Will try it out once this great NES compo is over.
I think 1 million will do, i ended the game myself after 100 wins.
Thanks for watching. Shitty video with no sound! :)
I'll try to do sound and better picture for upcoming games I'll emulate on the Wii.
Hahaha..
That's a one good looking TV-set you got there. Looking forward to see more C64 scores.. Looks like my german friend SHIN is nowhere to be found.
Skål för fan.
How do you pull that off? I know, iPhone pics and Windows = chaos.
There's a thread in the forums > website enhancement .. about this issue.
Like the current record holder I used the NES emulator on Wii.
One of my favorite shooters.. Great game. You know the story behind it? If not google it.. Pretty cool.
This is Choplifter 1988 which you already have submitted a score on..
http://highscore.com/scores/Atari400800XLXEEmulated/Choplifter1988/17958
Haven't tried this one yet.. Looks good. :)
Welcome to HS.COM, nice to see more Atari 8-bit scores on here.
I'm not a huge fan on the original, but this version plays incredible fast and is great fun.
Emulated on WiiXL, great emu.
Forgot to take a pic, but i show my nametag in the end of the video.
It is black & white. :) Plays really slow compared to the C64 version as well..
X-Split Gamecaster free.
I mainly bought the cam to be able to easily record from my computers/consoles.
So, what do you guys think about the extra cam for emulated scores?
DK JR was released yesterday for the C64 and is based off the Atari 7800 version.
No audio due to the fact my kids were watching, or rather listening to MTV Music Awards loud as fuck.
Oh.. Also: New name tag.
I'm up for a run on this as well, but Donkey Kong JR just got released on the C64 so maybe another day. ;)
Yes, a straight port from the 2600 version by someone over at Atariage.. Forgot his name tho.
Thanks, I'm gonna get some sort of capture device this month. Also thinking about a webcam so i can do videos showing off both gameplay and me at the same time.
Yeah, some people call it "Caverns of Mars 3", but after Atari bought the rights to "Caverns of Mars " ATX had to release it under another name.
Great game, one I will come back to for sure.
Great controls, just feels right. The music is horrible tho, like many early 80's devs they simple didn't have any dedicated musics/musician for their game and took a song in the public domain. Very often Bach. I've heard those songs a million times by now. :)
You can sniff up a good game even over the atlantic!
Agree. This is not really a great game, but i'm a sucker for those multiple screens early space games.
My favorite racer of all time. Will install ASAP and give it a go again!
I'm a sucker for those one button games. Lovely sound effects in this one too.
Fast paced Lady Bug clone without the special, extra etc features unfortunately..
It sure looks like it, except for the fact Arnold never could grow a beard.
Yeah, unfortunately it's too darn easy. Shame, cause it's fast and fluid.
Hard game.
I suppose you know why the manufacturer behind the Dragon went for a green background screen. Would be interesting to know! :)
Best looking game i've played 2014. Among the top 10 best looking games IMO.
Maybe a score for each level, even tho there's a max score?
Nice!
I need to pick up those CAVE shooters again some day.
Looks like I have to turn on my 360 and wade through the indie games.. Or is this an Arcade game?
? Or did you buy yourself an Atari? Buuuh... :)
I will never forget the moment i first saw this game and it's lovely graphics!
I must say the C64 version is alot better. ;)
Yeah, and the dev thought it was a good idea to make the tiles that look like eachother in the same colour. :)
Without doubt my best run on Dr. Mario ever. Yiha! /o/
Wow. That's some broken asian english right there.
You're not from Finland and I doubt you're female.
Don't install that app folks!
Does this seem like a women living in Helsinki to you?
Sara:
- When did you convert to Islam?
- Why don't you like one single finnish thing on your FB page. Only Indian and Malay things?
- Why do you constantly post about this app, and if your not doing that you upload "sexy" pictures to your wall for your asian friends to like.
- You only tweet about Kuku Kube.
- Your photos from Facebook are stolen. Many, including your avatar here was used on various XXX sites long before your internet presence.
- The list goes on and on.

By marketing your app under a fake name you make people suspicios there's something fishy going on. If you and your friends don't stop spamming this site with scores i will rapport the Kuku Kube app to Google Play for dubious marketing.
I've used Altirra for my last 30-40 submissions here and I think it's ace! I've only tried Atari800WinPlus before, but Altirra is now my favorite Atari 8-bit emulator for Windows with MESS as a follow up.
Why i always end up emulating on my Wii is due to the fact i wanna play on a CRT telly and i really like the d-pad on the Gamecube controller.
Thanks Bazzy Boy.
I'll buy a MS LifeCam this weekend so i can make more videos from real hardware and emulated shitzle on the Wii. :)
I used and will use the excellent Atari XL/XE emulator "WiiXL" for most of my Atari 800 submissions from now on.
Thanks for the tip, Shin! :)
There's a compo going on, no time to play for a 2048. ;)
Excellent game i'll definitely dive depper into sometimes.
Yeah, if I'd been aware of this game in 94 i'm pretty sure i'd bought a Jag. ;)
Video got frakked up, so photo only. I hope my other video entries for this game is evidence enough.
Upload that avatar to tinyeyecom.
The result aint safe for work. Either she had her picture stolen, or she has used a stolen pic. :)
I used Project Tempest for this submission and could therefor record a video. Unfortunately that's not possible from Virtual Jaguar due to the CPU power it uses.
Right, i have this one somewhere. Gotta check it out..
There's alot that indicates there's something fishy going on..
Yeah, a real emulator.
Also available on the C64, but this version plays way better due to the fact the Atari got a more powerfull CPU. Sometimes a mere 0.5Mhz makes a difference.
The octopus don't move like he used to do. My guess he's drunk.. I mean, i would be a drunk as well if i had to watch a freakin' treasure for 30 years.
Very disapointing homebrew of the classic Nintendo Game & Watch game. :/
Hi,
Could you explain all those recent entries from gamers in India?
Can you explain that the first entry for "Kuku Kube" is from a finnish girl, who's avatar is a good looking girl (and ofcourse stolen of the internet)?
Can you explain why the app asks for WAY TO MANY permissions, way out of the ordinary.
If so: Good.
This looks fun.. I wonder if that trick works on my JR.
Yeah, i think i saw one go for about $1000 a couple years ago.
Great game indeed. Nice to see so ass kicking 5200 scores on real hardware!
The picture does, but not the video: He rolls the score so it should be 12,369.
He did miss to enter a "3". I guess he'll notice his mistake in a few hours.
Yeah, i will never grow tired of Painkiller either..
Hehehe.. Best game on the Lynx? I played this to death on the AMIGA..
How do you pull that off with touch controls, or do you use real controllers?
Yeah, i'm thinking of getting a video capture card and might need some guidence. ;)
This has nothing to do with the arcade we all know and love. :)
I love Crossfire, but recommend the C64 version which is much better then this 1981 version.
Atarimania got some manuals and a great database in general for the Atari 8-Bits..
OK, got crazy slow speeds tryin' to capture Handy. Gotta try again.. Thanks!
Nice. What emulator do you use, and how do you screen capture?
Thanks. I actually tried pressing various keyboard buttons but probably failed to press the right ones. Thanks for the info.
Well, the Atari got 256 colours to choose from, the C64 only 16. I like the Atari colours as well, nice mix and not as saturated as the Amstrad CPC ones.
Ofcourse the C64 gets more love, 30 million units sold (compared to Atari's 2 million) and a large community pushing it to it's limits + the wonderfull SID chip. There's simple no 8-bit computer even near the standards of the C64 IMHO.
Developed in PAL land, but played way to slow for my taste so i did a NTSC run.
Original called Nibbly 92 for the C64.
Music by Drax plays too fast due to NTSC emulation.
Great homebrew for the XL/XE.
First and last time i play Dr. Mario when i'm really tired.
I have yet to try v.1 by John Harris. Do you know what differs these two versions?
Neither have I, i like some events.. But the Lynx version is not the best i've gotta say. :)
Nope, i always play with joypad or stick. Having problems?
Yepp, but an old one. Made by some european, the maze is way off in NTSC mode so i had to go for PAL emulation on this.
The Atari 8-Bits really have some serious screen size issues. Take a look at Nibbler. On PAL you go faster horisontally, on NTSC vertically. A shame really, great game and the only official Nibbler conversion i know off.
Yeah. Now i'm looking for a Game & Watch Frogger avatar. Any skilled graphicians on highscore?
Virtual Jaguar? For me the emulator does close down when i have X-Split running. :)
You can't change it.
Best shooter on Google Play IMHO.
Check out the free PC or Ouya version, or the $1 version on Xbox Live.
I guess i'll have to ask my .pl friends, they can't be rare there. Pricey, sure.. But not rare.
Also: What does the Atari XE/XL go for in .de? There's none to be found on Swedish soil. :)
I wonder why they even made a sound fx to begin with.
Nope, it's actually not in my mighty SNES homebrew collection either. O.o Found it else where!
I'm 99% sure that soundtrack is from a AMIGA game.. Can't recall which tho.
Gotta love Pac-Man clones where there's no stop when you eat a ghost. :)
That's how the music whould had sound if the C64 had a CD addon. Thanks god it didn't. :)
There's is no such thing as problems, only solutions. :)
I'd use a second phone/camera to take a photo of your iPhone with a nametag.
Right, it's the German Unity Day isn't it? Wow.. Time flies..
But Scorpions remain. Hahaha..
OK, when i get my webcam i'm gonna do a 72 hour marathon, live on Twitch. Then you will be SORRY.
Don't you have work to do? :)
Are you ready to marathon this game to maintain your top spot?
Yeah, my favorite joystick for action games: Slik Stik. Tac-2's little brother. :)
It's a great game, it does not only play great but looks and sounds fantastic. It's a bit on the easy side, tho?
I cleared the game, didn't notice any raise in diffulty on the first loop..
Well, back in the day we didn't know anything else, but once you got aware of emulation and tried Super Mario Bros NTSC for the first time you sure experienced a aha moment. Now a days alot of people mod their consoles to be able to run NTSC carts. I remember the first TV i bought which had support for 60hz, that was in 2001. Many euro PS2 games prompt you if you wanna play in 50 or 60hz.
I'm currently playing this on the C64 with paddles..
I wouldn't say horrible slow, as a US developed C64 game, my guess it runs like 17% faster on NTSC machines unlike most other C64 software which runs at the same speed on US and Euro machines.
Once you've get used to playing games in 60hz, it's hard to go back to 50hz.. That's the reason i prefer to emulate consoles then playing on real hardware. NES, SNES and MD games plays REALLY slow in 50hz.
Made by the same guy that did Deluxe Galaga for the AMIGA.
Great fun, it's kind of cheesy but still addictive.
Only video for now as there seems to be a problem with uploading photos at the moment.
Thanks for the info, OG.
I spent quite some time on those Super Smash videos and had them uploaded to YT during the night by a batch uploader.
Tried it emulated with joypad first, couldn't even score 10k.. But with the Slik Stik this game plays great on the C64.
I don't feel bad, only honest. :)
I don't know which display i got, actually i haven't played a GBA for many many years as i lost all games (7?) in a move many years ago.
That's not so disturbing, but loosing a couple half rare boxed N64 games was quite the shock. Haha..
There's some dirt above the PSP.. Scrap it off. ;)
I actually prefer to emulate the GBA on PSP then play on real hardware.. It just feel right for some reason. Could be the screen & size? :)
Great game.
What emulator did you use, and how did you capture the video?
Thanks.. I play it from time to time, pretty good "puzzler" in small dozes.
I've played this lots on the NDS lately and is in my opinion the best "simulation" of G&W Donkey Kong for sure. It took me back in time, and it plays superb on the DS so i decided to do a video to show the gameplay. I'm working on getting 9,999 on game A, we'll see if i succeed.
Sorry about the shitty sound (reminder to myself: Check your Camtasia audio settings), but the visuals are pretty nice.
Real hardware score coming up!
I have that problem from time to time as well, but rarely from an Android device, all the time from a iPhone tho.
If you're using Windows download irfanview, it shows you the image as it actual looks, it's also a great tool for viewing, resizeing, rotating etc.
I'm pretty sure people do that because your pictures are sideways.. I've never voted no to scores becuase they are sideways, but if i were you i'd either fix them on your computer first, or fix them through an app if you upload directly from your phone.
I've ordered my 60-in-1 BTW, now i just need that cab. ;)
I watched the whole video and to me it's sound like the typical 5-press fire sound and not autofire.
Where's your freakin' Kung Fu Master score.. And BTW: I think i read somewhere you were saying that doing 970k would be impossible or have i've dreamt that? :)
Can you assign buttons, and if not: Is the jump button assigned to the blue one?
Sorry about the loudness and scrambled video in the beginning.
Unfortunately i saw some other entry played off the Retron 3 under real hardware. Well well..
Sure, for non native OS tracking GoatTracker is the best.
http://www.sidmusic.org/goattracker/mac/

Wavy Navy for a new generation.
Oh no.. I've never meet the god of Atari ST. :) But /o/ was more meant as ¤fuckyeah-what-a-great-musician¤
Besides 'Paradox Intro' (which i can't find on You Tube O.o) this is probably my favorite Hippel tune. You like chip music? :)
For almost all Android devices: Power button and volume down at the same time.
Indeed.
Here's a great 30 mins docu on shooters, you might have missed it.. If i'm not mistaken there's footage from that Summer Carnival 92 in Japan where they competed on Recca.
I must watch it again. Bye! :)
I thought this game was horrible. After the masterpiece that was Game & Watch Donkey Kong this was the sequel? I remember i traded mine for another G&W.
Nice try. ;)
Yes, i'm still in shock over your Parker Bros score and haven't pla..
I can't lie anymore. I've tried, i can't do it. Some day maybe, but it's one hell of a score. Respect!
Hahah, i got a no vote saying they have issues with the tactics used.
Couldn't agree more, if i knew about the big bubbles i'd scored alot more. :)
What differs the 8-bit micro computers from the 8-bit consoles were the bedroom coders, all fantastic weird and obscure games that would never find it's way into the 8-bit consoles.
There's so much gold on there, most "gamers" don't even realise. :)
This is a good game, keeping the spirit of the classic arcade games IMO.
Must. Get. This. Game.
Pinball Arcade on Android is good, but i want to press buttons on a damn pinball game.
Great score, this game is pure evil. ;)
I love that you included the loading time, was kind of relaxing looking at someone else loading a C64 game.
Aaaand.. The Oscar for best camera work goes to.. ¤drumwhirl¤ ..
Sssss..Baaaazzzz!!
Mmmmm.. The AMIGA, the best computer ever.
I remember we used to fight over scores sometimes, me and my friends. Hahah..
This is the kind of game i KNOW you spent hours on figuring out where to go and why, am i right?
How come you had a ZX Spectrum when the C64 was so huge in .dk?
The lovely 80's when we flowers grew like never before because we sprayed them like crazy with DDT. \O/
Are you telling me you kept track of your highscore's in 94?
Well, i did actually also keep my highscore's in a book, well, all of my friends as well, but that was probably around 84. :)
Don't let the strange title screen fool you, this is Bug Blaster. :)
See the emulated scores if you want to:
http://highscore.com/game/?g=21894&enterscore=1
First game i've ever tried that run really lousy on the official build of VBA. It ran fine in No$GBA until round 4, then it croaked on me.
VBA-M did the trick tho, i even thought i had a solution to record emulated GBA there for a while, but even with the lowest video compression settings the game began to lag at round 4.
As the title says, this game is found on a ROM called '72-in-1 (Unl) [p1]'
As the title says, this game is found on a ROM called '72-in-1 (Unl) [p1]'.
This is one for the hardcore Pac-Man players. Not only does Pac-Man have turbo speed but the ghost moves faster as well. /o/
Another one of those games i first played of a pirated GBA cart with a NES emu on.
Great game!
Finally i found this game! A real east asian fast shooting hack of Galaxian!!
In 2004 i got some pirated GBA games from a friend in Thailand. Both were called "101 Games in One" or something familiar.
There was ofcourse only two GBA games on the cart, but there also was a NES emu with this game on. After i found it, i couldn't care less about the other games. :)
I've been looking for this ROM since then but never could find it until i began going through all these pirated ROMs and LOOKY LOOKY, i found it.
I know i did 100k on the GBA so i set a goal to do 50k right away.
I've had some problems during the years with various versions as well. Now i use 1.7.2 with these settings:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4696405/frankie1.png
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4696405/frankie2.png
Fiddle around a little and magic will happen. :) Open GL don't work with X-Split, some other render method might do the trick.
Well, i'm going for emulated.. My guess is you do real hardware only? Yes? Yeah? Aight!
Then it actually should go under emulation, because that's what those consoles do?
I've just bought the game and played once, i bet you're score is a liiiitlle higher then mine.
It was a joke.
Ofcourse their could be differences, but it's highly unlikely.
I only tried it once or twice before but was put off by the poor background pictures of elephants and frogs. :)
After playing again, i actually think it's a very good game. Probabaly even better if i had watched the demo mode first and realised you could blow BIG bubbles as well. Haha..
I'm gonna play this more.
Crazy good score, Nick! I see you have been posting lots of Bejeweled scores on YT lately. :)
You can probably try even older builds, since 1.0 all updates have more or less been to better emulate demos which uses new hardware tricks. For gaming old version should be working just as good as the latest.
Another one of those early C64 games published by Commodore but developed by HAL of later Kirby fame.
I actually forgot i had a score up for real hardware. This game is freakin' awesome, best pool game i've ever played. The physics are.. interesting. :)
Probably my most played game ever. You get used to the physics after a couple rounds.. Something i never get used to is those frakin' sneakers that don't drop the pocket which results in me doing a rage shot. :)
@kernzy: I tried X-Split with the latest version of VICE with terrible results so i tried an older version i use from time to time and i had a constant frame rate of 50. Next time i'll turn off CRT emulation tho, it looks good on the screen but destroys the video.
As you can imagine it was impossible to get my name tag in the photo.
Another one of those Breakout clones with the Alleyway syndrome, you can play forever. I began playing this morning for maybe an hour and had it on pause during the day, finished it now in the evening playing maybe two hours.. And as you see, i came to level 22. :)
I can't imagine there would be any difference between the two versions. Go ahead and humiliate me. :)
Arkanoid is very well coded and has a short span of movement, on the other paddle games it shows the paddle is jumpy.. :(
Arkanoid is one thing, PA another. :)
My paddles ain't excatly in mint condition so let's just say i'm pretty far behind your amazing HS on that one. I'd say i would be pretty far behind anyways.. I remember that we either playtested it or had a compo just before/after release and i think i did 4k tops.
But i wont give up. Never surrender!
Now this is an obscure game. Have you ever played the real arcade?
CHOPPERS! There's so much to love about this game. Seems a little unfair they are sending a massive attack of choppers while all you have is a balloon.
Yes, this one is a high scorer.
About the same sum as Marcus Persson got for Minecraft? :)
The game with the same name on Android is totally different.
A neat little game my daughter had on her iPad. Fans of the Atari 2600 game Kaboom!: Check it out.
I searched the app store on the web but couldn't find the game (well, i thought i'd request the game title and manufacturer as there tend to be lots of games with the same name these days ) Dunno if it's been pulled or if I/Apple is/are dumb.
Sounds like you've found a bug, post in the forums if you haven't so 'Serious' are aware of the problem.
Great run, my guess is you've played that game once or twice before during the summer. 5 seconds faster then an already great run. Congrats!
Reply
Scored that have been obtained by leeching etc has had a hard time to pass as legit in most cases, 99% of all people on here are against exploit's. I think that's why some requested some of those exploitable games under the category [Any Tactics] or something familiar.
I'd talk to Serious about it, my and most other people's opinion those exploited scores should have be under their own category.
I understand you love this game and wants to submit a score either way, but what's the point of competitive gaming if you're up against an 999,999 score which everyone can do if they want to.
I enjoyed it. Nice boss!
Pity that other score was voted legit if he used some kind of exploit?
Game made by Taito Do Brazil.
Man, you get to learn new stuff everyday. Must be on Space Invaders hardware then. I gotta play this, that music is freakin' awesome!
I think this video is totally ok.
Register, and you can request songs 24/7. Songs that have been played recently (like the Power Drift song) are locked for a week or so.
Aaaaaahhahahahaaaa.. Can't get my Frogger cart to work. :(
Looking back, all 8-bit conversions was terrible. It's just one of those games that aren't possible to make on a tiny 8-bitter.
The pace, colours and sound tells me this is a bootleg/hack running on Space Invanders hardware?
The background sound/music is massive!
Kewl.. I'm not a huge fan of the game, ofcourse i spent a fair deal of money on it in the arcade as most other people.
Are you using OBS to record? Video looks good, and you play well.. As usual. :)
The soundtrack is freakin' awesome, i love this song in particular:
http://www.cvgm.net/demovibes/song/9181/
I am the only one who don't see a picture on this submission?
I am the only one who don't see a picture on this submission?
Gameplay begins one minute in. Played with paddles.
Looking back, Ocean should have sold an edition with included paddles. Then it probably wouldn't had taken 23 years until the next game with paddle support was released on the C64. :(
It's a shame Arkanoid II don't have paddle support. I wonder if those games could be hacked, probably just too much work for anyone to show interest in it..
I think it's fine as it is.
Those apps get updated all the time. The latest update to the Android version was the 15:th this month.
With the amount of games for iOS and Android i think it's impossible to keep up with each version, then you would have to have 25 (yes, there's been that many updates to this game on Android) Mr. Bean Flying Teddy entrys in the database.
If someone plays the latest Android version and want a score up for that version, i'd say they have to request it. :)
Is there any way i could see this is Hexagonest Hyper? Is there another highscore screen, like up there to the left, does it list scores per level?
But i think there is a DSiWare version as well, this is the cart version.
Great for it's time and a little bit of nostalgia? :)
It would be EVEN better if the info contained the original settings like Guided Missiles [B].
Arrghghgaaaaaa.
http://www.retroremakes.com/downloads/competitions/2006CompoEntries.zip
Hey, i requested this one. It's the correct setting!
My bad. :(
Looks like it. Don't have my PSP here so i can't check the game but..
http://atariage.com/manual_html_page.html?SoftwareLabelID=478
There should be a 1BB category as well?
First priority is an AMIGA.
Besides, i'm in Europe.. Sure i could hook up a NTSC machine (i got a NTSC C64) but still..
Glad there's Ouya version so you can play it, cause i know this one ain't available for Mac OSX. Some of Locomalito's other games are tho.
I played the other one, a little unresponsive controls, i'm gonna remap them to a gamepad and see if that gives any effect.
This looks (and sounds) sweet. I see you something eat the white's and get points, why not all the time?
Never mind, i will download and play this tonight anyways! :)
You're welcome. This is a nice little shooter. A bit on the easy side, but still one of the best 8-bit shooters IMHO.
Each to their own, but don't you think if feels strange playing those old games which have aspect ratio 4:3 in 16:9 or 16:10?
That's the most important factor when i look for an emulator, that it can emulate the correct aspect ratio.
Rooted 7" in with Bluetooth connection??
I need to root my tablets. I can feel it. :)
Great score!
I love this game and have played it on all systems, but for some reason i am unable to score decent on this 2600 version. OK, it's cleary a little different from the other versions, but still..
Hahaha, yeah.. I laugh my ass off everytime. A perfect video to see 2-3 times a year. ;)
ALSO: Great new feature to be able to post YT videos and pictures!
I'm not so unhappy about the double death, but i got a little surprised about the invisible lady! I thought all bugs were gone from this version.
The original and best!
This game is one of the reason many people bought an Amiga.
I like the song in blippy AY!
Game looks like crap indeed.
This is why i like highscore.com.
Thanks for posting, Frankie. This looks like the game i've been looking for recently.. Hope the controls are top notch!
Just got my paddle. It's a little.. Wonky?
Hope i still can beat this score sometime. :)
What the frak.
Munchen here i come. :) I got a couple friends there as well so why not, i just have to convince my wife.. and children.
Indeed it is, this and lots of other superb free indie games by Locomalito can be found at locomalito.com. This guy makes crazy good stuff.
Most are Windows only, but some are working on Mac OSX and Liux as well.
You might wanna check out this game too (a little easy, but very enjoyable):
http://highscore.com/scores/PC/TheyCameFromVerminest83/13800
Inspired by Galaga but with some twists.
Finally found a solution to record from a Mega Drive emulator. I ended up installing Mednafan (my favorite EMU on Wii, multi system emulator) which is command line driven, after finding a decent GUI to go along and some fiddling i got Camtasia working.
I'm not happy with the outcome (of the video ofcourse, not the score. ) and will fiddle around with the settings to find the optimal one for video recording.
Happy Frogger Weekend. (all weekends are Frogger weekends). :)
I understand that from the commentary. I've learned i need to be a little more grumpy, have people vacuum clean and just have lot's of noise around you to score 50k. :)
Good game. You have a very good "crowd control" so one can see you've "kicked ass" at this game.
50k is my own PB goal. Need to play more, the simple truth.
Great video, fun watching.
Hey hey hey!
Great score, NCG! I will watch the entire video and hope to pick up something. :)
Have you seen this, would be fun, eh?
http://atariage.com/forums/topic/229132-wolf-ix-video-armageddon-2/?hl=%2Bwolf#entry3071216
Second hardest level i think? Tricky design in this one. Great game!
Yeah, one of those pink boulder things, whatever they are called.
Weird... But not as weird as this: That 500-short run of Frogger i had Genesis emulated? THE INVISIBLE LADY FROG happened.
THAT means it has to be the same source code, which they have modified, but for some reason the lady bug happens (but far from as often as the arcade version).
Yeah, i'm a Frogger freak. Actually i'm thinking about starting a cult. The Cult of Frogger. It could be some sort of religion; "Live to win, take som risks and enjoy life, becuse in the end you will always die."
That was kind of depressing? :)
Windows 93 sounds bad in my ears, maybe because i still used my beloved Commodore machines? :)
I'm hoping for some competition on the later, harder levels as well. :)
Well, it's not the best evidence ever and hope you can do better in the future.
As this is not a high ranked game in any way, i see no reason to vote no.
Welcome to hs.com!
Well, i can see it clearly.. But they call me Mr. Hawkeye.
Great, some competition.
Alt + Return and you get a tiny windowed version which can be expanded. It usualy borkes out for me the first play after that (2 player start instead of 1 player start) but works the second time. \o/ If not, pictures is fine by me if they are in colour.
Yeah, Locomalito is one of the real indie heroes. Does the coding and graphics himself, and he got that little extra that makes his games special. I can't put my finger on it, he's game are for most part just frakin' brilliant.
I will try out the Ghost N Goblins inspired game next, it apperntly have a huge following. ALOT of people have made custom built cab's for example.
Hey Mr. Galaga: Don't forget to play 'They Come From Verminest '83' as well, it's a little easy, but enjoyable.
Soooo, how's the 412-in-1?
I need my Candy Cab like right now. Aaargh.. :)
Wad ya mean, mate?
Looks easier then Galaxian, you are just bad. :)
Yeah, it's a nice computer and all.. But it's an Atari.. Eeehee..
"Are you keeping up with the Commodore, cause the Commodore is keeping up with you!"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_f3uIzEIxo
Daaaamn, you got one of those beauty's, BAZ?
Oh shit, i need a new strategy to be THE MASTER WIZARD OF HIGSCORE.COM. Muuuahahahahaha.
Sorry about that. If you feel unsure how to vote, please go to You Tube and see my other videos were you see it's my TV.
Oooor, by the amount of scores i've submitted by now (i'm on third place god damn it. ) you should recognize my tv set and nice curtains. :)
For anyone wondering, yes. I've plugged my 360 into my old 4:3 CRT and i'm very happy i did. 2D games looks fab, heck.. Even the 3D games looks way cool.
CRT FOR LIFE! :)
Check this out. Pure awesome free indie game by Locomalito (.com).
This is the hardest of six courses.. Brings me back to the early 80's arcades. Easily one of my favorite games, it's made a huge impact on me the last few days. 10/10.
Unfortunately only for Windows, but there's other great, and i mean GREAT games on Locomalito's site that runs on MAX OSX and Linux as well.
Wow, the Atari 8-Bit's are popular machines these days. :)
One of the best newly produced games for any retro format. I will get back to this one for sure. :)
It's VERY good game. He was indeed ofcourse inspired by Galaga.
The jumpy picture cleary tells atleast me it's recorded from real hardware.
Toaplan FTW!
Don't tell me you started the day playing Micro Hexagon? :)
Man, i remember when this hit the arcades. I haven't played 1942 or Xevious before, so this blow my mind. A vertical shooter, with awesome graphics and a heli!
I loved this so much until Twin Cobra came out, then i realised Tiger Heli was really slow.. And that Twin Cobra was the best game in the world.
(please don't beat my Twin Cobra record, Wonderboy)
Infact, beat it so i have to practice more and 1CC it. I'm just too damn lazy! :)
Sorry for the blog-ish comment. :)
I remember when i rented a NES over the weekend sometimes (i was a C64 guy you know), I always picked Ice Climber and Super Mario Bros.
I liked the game back then, now it's very obvious it's one of the very first NES games, it feels very Nintendo-ish, but there's something that makes me dislike it these days. Can't put my finger on it. Alot of people i know think it's underrated, i don't know.
It's just one of those games that i think didn't deserve the reissue of "NES Classics" on the GBA. Classic crap, maybe, but not classic good.
Oh, me ranting again.. Gotta get my morning coffee. /o/
You're an alien with ticks, you gotta do everything three times. Soon there will the third submission of this game.
Hahahaha..
Now you tell us the reason behind those bad pics, are you an alien, playing those games 100 years ago, and now you've come back in time and submit scores here?
Actually never played it because i've heard it's horrible.. I played one of the home conversions, i can tell you it was not a pleasant experience.
My son is 11 too.
He more or less only plays Minecraft and iOS games.. But i will MAKE him like retro games. :)
... And you CAN beat him. Until that last part you play very well, it looks like you got everything memorized up until that later part.
Oh yeah, TIF is one hell of a SHMUP player. Actually he's a great player all around, i don't know how he do it. :) There's a couple guys within this community of classic gamers that are very good all around and Todayisforgotten is one of them.. Bastards! ;)
Yeah, Dreamcast emulation is maybe still not great, but good. There's other emu's then Null DC as well, Makaron and some others.. Null DC is pretty "easy" to set up.
When i got interested in DC emulation a couple years ago, i ran same emulator (Makaron or some other russian one) and played the graphics heavy games in1080p in 60 FPS without any glitches.
It's still not plug and play tho, lot's of time spent with plugins etc, i mean like tens of hours to get everything right. :)
Now i just play Frogger in MAME. :)
What a disappointment. Couldn't find a simulator of Game & Watch: Ball and thought this would play the same, but this has to be way more easy. It's getting faster and faster up til 100 points (1 point/ball in game A) and then starts over at slowest speed.
I thought maybe it will become faster after 200 points or atleast remain the current "top speed", but nah.. So i killed the game of at 201 points.
I couldn't find a simulator of "Game & Watch: Ball" and thought this played just the same, but this has to be easier. My goal after a while was to go to 10,000 (if possible), but got disturbed by shouting kids and barking dogs. Hurm..
Game A is even worse, two balls, it speeds up steadily up to 100 points (you only get one point/ball in game A) and then slows down again and repeats itself. Killed the game off at 201 points and didn't bother to upload a video.
Very impressive, i watched the whole video and was super excited.. This was one of my favs as a kid. Never saw that cab in Sweden tho. :)
Unlucky last death.
IMO, maybe the only retro inspired indie game you feel would be a major hit if released in the arcades early 80's. Another kick ass game by Locomalito.
This is the first and very easy course, later courses are almost Defender/Robotron hard. /o/
Don't let the low frame rate scare you off, this plays like a dream in 60 FPS.
Looking forward to some serious competition on this and later courses!
Yeah, WOW!
Way to long since i played a real pinball. Gotta give Whirlwind a spin on Pinball Arcade atleast.
Great video, great score!
I suck at Q'Bert as well, still i love it. Check out Q*Bert III for the SNES as well, requested that ages ago, still haven't got around sumbitting a score. :)
That's what i call a lightning fast submission, too bad the game sucks..
Yeah, the game is freakin' borked. Like Frankie sais, you need luck or help from your other friends playing this awfull games.
My wife plays it, i know she's been trying to clear the same level for several days, as you only get a certain amount of tries if i understand it correctly?
Well, for hacked games.. On iOS you have to have a jailbreaked device to run a hacked game, on Android you can pirate whatever app you want right from the start.
If you wanna cheat, you can cheat on any system basiclly, it's quite funny people belive "Ah, a real hardware C64 score, that is legit.. I don't even have to look on the score". Belive me, my C64 scores/real hardware scores pass alot faster then emulated.
It's like people don't understand the versions i play on my C64 are the most trained versions of them all, i never use them ofcourse cause these versions also has the benefit on a highscore saver added by the crackers which is very handy. It does ofcourse not work if any cheats are enabled.
You get what i mean. There's trained ROM's for every system, and with the ability to run ROMs from most consoles these days, there's nothing stoping people from cheating if they wanted to, but what's the meaning of that? I honestly don't belive there's many cheated scores on this site, if one? I know SBAZ knew of a game he suspected, i've never encountered a game/score i've thought, "That must have been cheated". The big scores on here have videos, infact i like more videos are being posted then ever before.
Ooops, here's me ranting again.
Agree. The Game Boy Color version is much better, you got to choose how to steer the little bugger.
SHMUP and probably a short print = High prizes.
There's this thing called emulators tho. I've heard this emulator called "pSX" is really simple, no plugin setup, more or less plug and play.. Also people say 99% of all games run fine. I've heard the last version was released like 2007, so it runs fine on pretty much all computers.
Just realised you could boot the MAME game if you want too..
I need my morning coffee..
I love paddle games too. I still got to wait to order mine tho.
There's alot of great paddle games both for the C64 and Atari.. Really looking forward to playing those again.
Here's a cool video i found of dudesvillearcade on how to make a cheap "paddle" for MAME: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iZg4WYRHak
Take-Out was good, i like the touch controll.
The other games were.. not so good. :)
My mouse is breaking down, double clicks.. Single clicks without touching it.. Sorry about that.
Set up NullDC again, minor graphics glitches on the title screen. Minor slowdown during a jump, other then that, worked fine running 60 FPS steadily while using Camtasia as recorder. Didn't fiddle around with any settings.
Also, what BAZ said. How the frak do you know these scores are legit? My wife plays the game, but she never bought anything so she dosn't have a clue..
Fankie, Frankie, Frankie.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What is wrong with you?
I don't like the energy system. 1942 is bliss (especially the soundtrack.. )
From there it went downhill. 1943 and Kai are decent, the Raizing developed 1944 is a disaster.
BTW: One superb Capcom shooter gem is Eco Fighters. That game is awesome!
IMHO. ;)
Return of the Game Boy camera pictures.
I can read it, but i'm 40 and the last time i went to a optician she said she never had a client before in the 40's with such a good eyesight.
You can call me Hawkeye. ;)
You're currently the best SHMUP player on highscore.com. That's some sick scores you put up, awesome!
Are you a member on SHMUPS.COM?
BAZ: It probably wasn't a big hit in the arcade so the "Plays just like the real arcade game" stickers probably was put on the "Bubble Bobble and Rainbow Island" combo for the PSX instead. :)
I never liked this game btw, i must give it another show.. I think i've played it like max 1 minute in. It gotta be somehow good. Right?
Yeah, yeah.. ;)
Please notice the crisp sound when Frogger jumps and the spiffy sound of the snake!
BAZ: You know my theory is that Seinfeld episode with Frogger had something to do with it. :) I can't be a coinincidence. I've been thinking about looking up the date the episode were aired, and when the games for SNES and Genesis was released. ;)
Tho, internet wasn't huge back then.. Where could people discuss the episode. In the lunch rooms at work ofcourse, just like now.. But still.. I'm not sure my theory holds up, but i'm sure as hell would like it too. It could have been the talk of the town in 97.. "Hey, that Seinfield episode with that awesome Frogger game was really funny. I wish you could play Frogger somehow.."
Yeah, a japanese computer with a more or less unofficial OS by Microsoft gotta be weird, right?
The MSX2 was nice!
I've found a superb Forgger remake also! :)
Aight. Thinking about getting one..
Because i need more.. stuff..
Use Google to find single ROMs, or if you want fullsets i've heard they could be found on various torrent sites.
I use many emulators for NES, for a while a only used Mednafan for the Wii because it's so nice playing on a old CRT TV, but as i now got two good video recording programs on my Windows PC i tend to use other NES emu's. Nestopia is my favorite. Got a nice scanline ("TV Mode") filter to choose, and runs everything you throw at it. Including weird hacks and homebrew.. But most important of all; It runs Galaxian flawless. :)
Looking forward to some NES scores from you. There's always "Pinball" to start with. :)
Nice one. Ten others beat.
I love me some Burgertime from time to time, but i just don't enjoy grouping in this game. Good game and score, tho, sir. :)
Can you use another controller then the default for the Ouya?
The screen looks spiffy!
Shin: Didn'y you have a PSP? Best GBA emulator ever is on the PSP. It's a little like GBA +. ;) I rather play GBA emulated on my PSP then on my actual GBA.
There's always http://sourceforge.net/projects/joy2key/ if you can't get your stick working.
Also a lifesaver for all those freakin' games that don't even have joystick support to begin with. Keyboard are for typing, not using to control games. ;)
Well, Typing of The Dead comes to mind.. But, well, yeah.. Ordinary classic games. Joystick. Yeah.
Forgot there was no score up for Out Zone. One of my fave Toaplan shooters for sure.. Goal set. :)
Well, that's how it work apperently. Too many jelous people is my guess..
Fuck, be glad for others when they achieve a goal. For the most part, everyone is ok, but there's some really big wankers in the CAG community, that's for sure.
It's no lie to say the Rob Hubbard tune is better then the game. :)
Well, there's many theory's about the first perfect Pac-Man aint it? It's a small community, still so much drama and backstabing etc. Love it. ;)
No, on arcade.. I'll check it out. It was released in the mid 90's if i remember correctly.
Look closely at the video and you see there's nothing suspicious going on. Just a weird game. :)
Finally a C64 video, and a great one too. Cheers, mate!
OK, i'm a little drunk, but i have to tell the ones that don't already know that the graphicians that worked on this game later did the whole Metal Slug series.
¤drunk mode off¤.
What a great game. There's a obscure japanese sequel as well, can't recall the name tho.
Remember the name, but not the game. WinUAE here i come.
Modern version is little more unforgiven, but it's still a hectic game controlling both Mario and Luigi. Game & Watch forever.
Oh, here's the Wiki link for the nerds..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X68000
What the heck is a Sharp X68000 you might wonder?
Think of it like the japanese equivalent to the Commodore AMIGA. Except there was arcade perfect ports and the demo scene was really.. Japanese.
A wonderfull machine!
Frogger was ported to the X68000 in 1991. S.BAZ once told me (he's a Frogger addicts like me) that the Genesis / Mega Drive version is the best.. And it is, together with this version. It plays like the arcade version, but without all the famous bugs of the arcade original. No more invisible lady frog, slow movement on the upper log etc.
Frogger was the last released game on the Genesis, this version was released when the Sharp X68000 was peaking.
Oooh, another mini blog.. I'm sorry. Cheers!
FROGGER
I'm a little emberesed too be honest, i should have got myself a working AMIGA again ages ago. We decided, me and my wife that i'll finally get my "man cave" (god, i hate that word). I guess she's tired of me occupying the total house with gaming gear.. Hohoh..
Happy Oktoberfest!
One more thing, i agree this version is a little.. Strange.. The purple Galaxians feel a little bit off in this version, that's why i play very aggresive and try to take out those bastards as quick as possible.
Cheers for Galaxian, probably the best game in the world!
(And Frogger)
Good game, sir. Looks like we have something in common.
The ROM is (S)uper (G)ame (B)oy enhanced (SNES addon), so you can actually play it in color if you want to. Just Check "SGP" in your emulator of choice. In bGB the sound craps out if you do, tho.
I prefer to play in black and white, the purple Galaxians are yellow, and it feels totally weird. For me playing in black and white was much better when the purple ones were more distinct to see.
Rats. I had Kerz beat and you showed up, i was aiming for the NES record as well.. DAMN!
I love all AMIGA's ofcourse, but the 600 is not my favorite model. Sexy tho.
Shin: You're a graphics designer/painter whatever?
My guess you're still using Wolf 106?
As you're not submitting those to TG (and i doubt there will be a rule of using Wolf 106 in the future there as well) why don't try out the MAME+ solution i've written about in the discussion area? Might work good as frak for you, then you'll get perfect (but huge) .avi files. Compress with some program, virtualdub?
Try and see if you get .avi's that dosn't lose frames first, it's worth a try atleast.
Come on CoCo, you can't let Shin have the top spot on this one?
Next time, could you put a name tag on a piece of paper on the pictures? Easier to verify it's your scores, harder for other people to steal pictures and claim it's their score.
Nice score BTW, lovely game!
I've never played Moon Cresta seriously.. But it looks tempting, there something to it.. This looks good for ZX Spectrum. Think i'll might try out the homebrew version for Atari 7800.
Rock on, Kernz!
Yeah, made a new one in PETSCII (Commodore ASCII) after i beat Kernzy's score on Galaxian GB emulated. :) Hohohoh..
It's not too late. I'm not really up to date, but i heard rumours about a REGION FREE pack containing all CAVE games. Drooooool.
There's more info over at SHMUPS.COM i belive.
Akai is also on Games on Demand. Mushihimesama is region free (i had a copy once, probably my fave CAVE shooter).
I bet you could pick up a japanese 360 cheap these days, the problem is the games probably ain't cheap. :(
Well, in five years we have some hacked MAME build running all games anyways. :)
Yeah, awesome game(s). There's actually three in the series and $1 each. Plays like a dream with the twin sticks.
I'd say it's worth getting a 360 just for the enormous amount of great indie games.
Jesus.. I thought the tables you unlocked while playing story mode were playable, as usual pinball tables are.. You know?
No. This game is $2 and the tables are really nice, and it's FROGGER. I've never seen a PAID game with in app purchase before, but in this fraking game you got to buy whatever (i haven't even looked) to unlock like more balls on the tables.
This score is ONE BALL only, because that's all you got.
Konami, FFS. I'd pay $10 for this game with everything unlocked. WHAT IS THIS CRAP!?
First time playing this awesome game in almost two years, so no fancy scoring, simply played to survive. Horrible death at that boss, the stage after that is awesome.
If you like games like these, get it. It's on Games on Demand.
Thanks!
Regarding the sign: Google "hama retro gaming".
My wife ain't very happy about it, but this is how "my" desktop looks right now.. Hahah..
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4696405/IMG_20140903_163649.jpg
Hahaha, i didn't think anyone had a score up for this.. And when i realised the almighty Fr0st was ahead i thought i might just go for national champ.
Pretty fun game, i might give it another shot.
Great game! If you wanna "play for fun" without submitting a score here, begin at score 100.000 cause it's really easy up until 200k.
One of my top 10 Game Boy games for sure!
OK, The US is nice and all.. You got nice weather in Texas and people seem honest and good hearted. BUT THIS IS THE REASON I'D LIKE TO MOVE TO THE USA!
A freakin' Video Pinball machine!
I'd guess there's a COUPLE of those in the whole of Europe. In Sweden there's so few dedicated arcades overall i'd could cry when i think about it.
Donkey Kong cab's in good condition going for $1000 on Ebay in the US? Jesus christ.. You'd have to pay atleast $3000 for one in Sweden.
Sorry, another mini blog before my morning coffee.. :)
¤Just jealous¤
Don't remind me! :)
Nah, i got the deluxe version on disk for the 360 so i'm happy, still you can be a little mad when you recently bought a game for full price and then suddenly there's this super deal on the same game a few weeks later.
For Playstation 3 and Vita i see no reason to buy new games anymore (well i have Plus anyways and some 30+ games i haven't even played yet), but simple wait a couple weeks and get them for almost nothing.
BTW, there's a good deal on TxK for the Vita (if you own one). Minters new take on Tempest and i dare to say it's his best game ever.
Wow, there's a mini blog right there.. And i haven't even had my morning coffee.. Have a nice day!
Oooh, the memories. The pub 40 meters from were i lived had this one when it came out.. I think we spent more money on the pinball then on beer. :)
Now this is one underrated SHMUP and also very ahead of it time regarding scoring system. Nice video again. Subscribed as well. ;)
Si, Senior.. Gracias.
That's how much spanish i'm able to speak unfortunately. Thanx for the tip anyway! :)
Really cool game this, with the boom in digital pinball lately this is the kind of game SEGA should reboot and put on Android and iOS.
Gimme a job at SEGA and i will make them so much money if promise there will be a Dreamcast II.
Ok, gotta spend some time learn that program, i want my videos to look like this as well. :)
Also, close ALL other programs/processes that's not vital to run the OS so you got as much CPU power and RAM left as possible.
I had problems once with Firefox open, Dropbox running etc..
I looked around, and i can't find anything like i saw before, a simple USB dongle coming with software to record your PC screen without lag. Maybe i've been dreaming or it simple only was for consoles/TV?
There is capture cards, but they seem to be in the range 100 euro >
Buy a decent second hand stationary PC. I paid 200 Euro for mine like 2 years ago. I think X Split is heavy on the GPU -AND- RAM. I got quad cores, and 4GB and have no problems. It's probably as simple as that.
Reading on the X Split page i was afraid it wouldn't work for me, because the minimum specs was way higher then my PC.
Hope stuff get sorted out somehow.
I'll notify Serious that this is arrangement version.
I'll never liked Bosconian before, but this game has grown on me.
Just can't get enough of these Game & Watch games. My next Vlog will be about the various compilations on Nintendo platforms, including both the classic and modern versions of these games. I'll also include a variety of the simulators from various companies that are available on Windows but also through the web.
Game on!
As far as i remeber there was only Power Drift and Buggy Boy that was good.. SO many horrible racers! Uuuuurrhghgh...
Awesome score indeed. Here's his previous submission (17k):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2OFIODiVSU#t=79
Crazy skills!
Block rocking beats!
Did you know Bomb The Bass still is active? I wonder what he sounds like today..
Cool, just read the english branch of Hudson Soft was short lived, looks like they did one hell of a job. I wonder what happened to those people, were talking inovative games here.
Great video, what program do you use for video editing??
That Terra Cresta flyer is soooo damn good. Love it!
Arcade perfect port as with all Sharp X68000 conversions. The only thing i noticed is that there is no slow down when you bubble alot on level 19.
Western devs were happy if they got the arcade machine to play before the had to port the game, i bet those japanese devs got the source code. :)
First of all, what computer do you have regarding CPU, RAM etc.
If you uploaded that file as is to You Tube you record at 360p and not 420p, makes a big difference actually.
Thanks for info, think i will get one as i doubt the Vita will be hacked in a couple years..
1983. o.O
Mitchell actually ripped this game off. Wow..
There is a solution, a "capture card", those are cheap now a days. I looked at one yesterday, it looks like a USB stick, but it's powerfull like a capture card. Was about 30 Euro.
If i hadn't got X-Split and Camtasia to work as good as they do, i'd definetily looked into something like that.
What's your opinion about the tablet?
How the's d-pad/analog sticks?
Screen?
Gimme info!
Crap, you're doing all my requested GBC games before me!!! :)
Nice intro you got there mate, and thanks for whole game play!
Galaxian rule, one of my favorite games.
Nope, how do you mean? Like fucked up? I use the ROM from the No Intro set.
Haven't messed (!) around with MESS much, but i thought it would render everything, graphics wise, just as MAME and would "work out of the box" so to speak?
Tried open X Split after you've opened up a game in MESS, that worked for me once.
We should do a list with all emulators which work with X Split.
Well, Pepper II i can handle.. Maybe because i've put some 8-10 hours into it. Maybe there's patterns to follow in this one as well, what feels most chaotic is the enemies which run everywhere.
Also, eating the "T" by accident can really put you in a bad spot. :)
... And when i got the tip from Nick666 about the program i was very doubtfull as i NEVER had found a screen recorder that actually worked without slagging down my PC (and i've tried many programs).
I
Are you having a new version of Camtasia? The old versions were horrible, totally different software i'd say.
I got a fairly old PC, AMD64 Quad, 3,3, 4GB RAM, 1GB Graphics and camtasia runs out of the box very good. Just record screen, adjust the size to get rid of ugly emulator windows and rec.
I didn't touch any settings, worked like a charm out of the box.
No doubt you're a skilled Galaxian player, but as this is your first score submitted, your first video on You Tube (with incorrect aspect ratio as well) i want to see the whole game play.
I will note vote no, i will skip til you provide a video of full game play.
Voting has been slow lately. I have scores that are 1,5 months old and are in the 1-5 votes range.
There's a discussion going on in the discussion area.
You don't need to make a video.. I will beat this score anyway! :)
I see there's only people with NTSC systems on the highscore list on here which is good as this game plays roughly 20% slower on my PAL system.
Link on this submission:
http://highscore.com/scores/DedicatedHandheldEmulated/GameandWatch/13821
Yeah, never laid my hand on a TI except for the latest retro expo here in Gothenburg. Very nice machine.
Camtasia is not free, infact it's very expensive.. But there's always way around that if someone wants to.
Regarding photo only, i think alot of users on here could post only a picture once in a while cause they are trustworty
First: Great score, Frankie! It's a beauty isn't it?
Recording: Nope, X-Split dosn't work, i use Camtasia which does a fantastic job on all those other emulators that X-Split wont work with.
The only emulator Camtasia has slowed down is pSX but X-Split work fine with ePSXe.
But will there be PAL version released? Doubt it. Coleco wasn't big in Europe like Atari.
And i damn hope they aren't luying about the Tabletops coming back, i want a Frogger SO BAD. :)
Sorry to hear, they are really expensive now as well. Try the simulated version, those "emulators" are really nice.
http://www.madrigaldesign.it/sim/
I'll request alot of those, have so many fond memories of Game & Watch and other obscure brands of LCD games. Remember the watches? :)
Game playable at: http://www.grogger.com.au/
Know someone who died due to a drunk driver or hurt himself due to drunk driving? I do.
In the USA in the year of 2012, 10,322 people died in drunk driving crashes, accounting for 31% of all traffic deaths that year.
Don't drink and drive!
"You have to take snapshots SO quickly with this because it goes to the "Game Over" screen immensely fast."
One of the reasons i began making videos for most submissions. You know you way around video recording and editing and such.. :) :)
But i recommend X Split which creates crazy small files and it's free. It does not work on all emulators tho, but i'm sure you got some crazy good software already for your great Let's Play videos. :)
Great game, nice score.
One of the best, if not the best shooter on the NES IMHO.
Certainly a game i would like to spend more to with, if i had this as a kid i'd beaten it within a week. :)
I played this to death as a kid, i remember the batteries lasted pretty long, still you had your parents but new ones pretty often. :)
Yeah, but Munch Man is even better i think. This is just too hectic and weird with two playfields (good idea tho), but like i wrote on cncfreak's score of Munch Man: It's pretty weird that game ain't more known, it's IMHO one of the best, if not the best Pac-Man clone on all systems.
Hey, great score. Now i have to play this awesome game again.
I can't belive for my life this game isn't more known, IMHO one of the better Pac Man clones on all systems.
DarrylB: Tried to make it through Core during the day but no luck, that section is though. Games for kids, huh? :)
I'll do a emulator run now.. Gotta try it, love Nibbler. Wish there was more Nibbler clones that were more like the original arcade game, but not playing so freakin' fast.
OOOOOH, BTW: The highscore list does NOT differ from games played on Expert or Novice, THAT'S why i requested game 1B etc and played all games on novice setting.
Stupid move from Activision on a other very good game.
Now you can put on the dumstrut. :)
Why? Check out the Stampede names!
"Activision Hits Remixed: Stampede: Cattle Move Around, Pattern, Slow"..
Shit, not that long names when i think of it.. Look at all those Super Bros Brawl Rage Melee Attack scores for example. They are long as hell..
You're right, i'm wrong. As usual. I take on the dumstrut:
http://www.frihetssmedjan.se/wp-content/uploads/dumstrut.jpg
arenafoot: Pretty close. ;)
What about a "Jump Challenge". I (everyone?) used to do that when kids. You stand in the first spot and don't are allowed to move, only jump barrels till you die.
Sounds like fun, eh? :)
Info regarding games etc here: http://highscore.com/discussions/topic/activision-hits-remixed-first-vlog/183
Info regarding games etc here: http://highscore.com/discussions/topic/activision-hits-remixed-first-vlog/183
I told you these score's are mediocre, and then this is pretty decent actually. :)
IF i hadn't took the time taking photos of all scores already, i'd play the game all over again, but i kind of got depressed when i forgot to save all my scores so it's not that of a tempting game to play right now. ;)
Wow, that snakes moves fast. I had hopes this would be a "playable" version of the arcade original which plays way to fast for me. ;)
I don't get many views to my videos, probably due to the fact I also add pictures, but please.. Take the time and watch parts of this video cause this (freeware) game is fantastic.
I got the game but haven't played for ages, got so many other games on my "play list" right now, but some day maybe.
Didn't they ad "Super" to alot of SNES games just as they did ad "Mega" to Genesis (Mega Drive) games to make sure people understood these were "superior"?
!"Hey Billy Mitchell, you ain't so fuckin' though now, eh.. "Mr. Perfect Pac-Man!"."
And you two now have the nick names Pac-Heads! ;)
For some strange reason it was simple released as Super Demon Attack on the TI.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demon_Attack
Funny i was thinking of this game when i woke up this morning.
Matthew: Google it, it's available for Windows.
Damn you, a Coleco Flashback already?!
You're a real hardware MONSTER!
Wish you lived around my block so i could borrow some of that sweet obscure hardware from time to time. /o/
Tell me about it. This should be introduced (in all secrecy ofcourse) to former Pac Man "champions".. "Show us what you got!". :)
Can't find Spiceware' ROM link on Atariage. Someone, please?
Maaan, i don't know if i can take that.
I thought the game was easy peasy, then all of the sudden it went berzerk. Hahaha...
I heard there are issues with the 412-in-1 board, like slowdown and crappy sound? Rumours?
Yeah, these guys and gals in Genesis Project never fucks up.
That must be a Laxity or Onslaught crap release. Get a proper Genesis Project one! :)
Funny they can't get shit straight 25 years after the original software/hardware was done. /o\
Cool, there's a Jamma 60-in-1 category? I'm getting one myself.. Great!
Q*Bert fans, try this out. Probably my favorite game in the series even tho it's scary not to see the whole playfield at once.
10/10. Will def. play this on emulator as well.
As you're taking the top spot with 2-3 people with lower scores submitted you gain 2000-3000 extra points when this score is voted legit, so either you wait (if you're a score hunter) or you simple update your score now. :)
Actually i'm gonna approuch Paulko64 (the developer) and hint that a sequel with paddle support would be nice. I haven't thought about it before, but it's a perfect fit for sure!
Yeah, paddle control would be awesome for this game.. Unfortunatley there is only one new C64 developer that dared to go that way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3w7rLCUJgew
THAT is one awesome game. :)
BTW, if you like the look of Micro Hexagon (which is a demake) you might will be interested in this: http://superhexagon.com/
I liked this one, will play more tomorrow! Let's loop it. :)
Stand? Yeah a bunch of PSX games and a GBA and NDS. :)
Wurst ain't slang, i've ate alot of them. Sweden and Germany = #1 BBQ lands in the world.
Some people actually like playing shooters with keyboard, i hate playing any game with keyboard. I even play 4-way games with either my 8-way arcade stick or 360 D-pad. :)
"a photo is never better than a video. it's a "video" game. ;)"
HAHAHAHAHA!
So many games, so little time to play. The 2600 catalog is HUGE!
Just noticed it's for the Ouya. :) /o/
Will maybe spend more time with this, so damn hard to barely dogde asteroids to gain shoots tho.
Nice video, never seen the second loop before, PLUS thanks for adding a pic of final score.
^ Scores submitted the last 10 hours.. I'll take the time voting for them all, cause if i can spend X hours playing games each day i sure as hell can spend some time voting.
Hey nice you liked the game..
You know this feature of the site right?
http://highscore.com/request/
Try it out!
Great, picked up lots of strategy tips.. BUT, why is the highscore table signed "TIT" and not "P.K"??
Great game.. Not.
Released in 2011 or something, and we all know how good Android were in 2011. It plays slow and is cropped. Save your money. :)
DID YOU JUST PLAY E.T FOR 8 HOURS AND 30 MINUTES!
You win HighScore.Com!
I'll notify Serious that we could merge "Burnin' Rubber" with "Bump & Jump" as there is nothing that differ from the two versions. Any objections?
Great score, Kerz!
This version plays much like the Arcade Arr. original, but adds some features in different levels. A top notch game i'd say. :)
Info from Wikipedia.
"Namco Museum Battle Collection contains the following games.
Arrangements:
- Pac-Man Arrangement
- Dig Dug Arrangement
- Galaga Arrangement
- New Rally-X Arrangement
Each title has "Arrangement" as part of its name. However, these versions are unique to the Sony PlayStation Portable and should not be confused with the original set of Arrangements (which also included Xevious and Mappy) released in 1995 and 1996 for arcades (See Namco Classic Collection Vol. 1 & 2).
We're all old fart but saying there's been no good games since 1995 is a lie and you know it.
Larquey posted the wrong picture for this submission.
Larquey's Galaga (original) picture:

This is a picture from the original Galaga and not arrangement.
Even tho my controls were working just fine, i simply couldn't beat Frankie's score.. Or if it was i simple couldn't take it playing this version for a longer period of time. ;)
I will play Arkanoid II later tho, will check out the level editor.
I recorded this late last night, but from what i recall you just had to choose graphics mode and what you wanted to use for control.
Shouldn't there be a "Hard" settings for this?
Nice score.
You know it's rumoured Michael wrote all the music for Sonic 3, right? Pretty awesome if true.
THIS makes me wonder how much easier the game is for me playing at 50hz (PAL) instead of 60hz.
If there is two systems where there's almost always slowdown on PAL games it's the NES and SNES.
This is definitely on my list "Top 10 worst games of all time". ;)
Thanks BAZ, i was just wondering is there was a way to see if it's on expert.
Nice, looks like a FUN City Connection clone. Will try! :)
Is it just me or did you also think this version played wayed faster then the arcade original?
It's so awesome the 16-bit computers continued the 8-bit computer legacy of weird games. There's just so much variation in genres and experimental games on the AMIGA and Stari ST.
Even Drelbs got their 16-bit ports. :)
I don't get it, you clearly scores 8xx points and submit a score of 1? I understand your whole exploited game/broken games discussion but WHY NOT just submit "legit" scores?
To me it don't look like alot of people put up those "I played on "Novice" (Atari) but submit on "Expert".
Am i missing something here?
www.playsnake.org
Level: Slug
Good but simple Snake game.
That's a great score for level 10. I'd love to see a video.
I've always played "my style" but actually read up on the game on the web and to my surprise there's even MORE secrets to RI then to Bubble Bobble.
There's a way to get 100 million points f.ex. :)
Great to have some competition on RI, probably my fave game of all time, and i need a kick in the ass to actually clear it. :)
Hahaha, no this is the Frogger Konami released as a standalone in 2006. It plays just like the arcade game more or less (bugs and glitches included ;)) but with updated music and pretty nice graphics.
About the leaderboard: No, these are my friends. It's late and i couldn't be arsed to beat Boz.
I took a look at the world leaderboard and 99,900 points is the max. :/ Stupid Konami!
Bought Frogger Pinball for the iPad yesterday tho and i must say Konami did a splendid job on that one. Score coming up tomorrow. :)
Tell me more about the Castlevania thingy, is there ANOTHER Frogger in there? Damn, gotta get that game as well then. I assume it's not in the PSX version but only on Xbox?
After two hours i had to call it quits, had problems differ between the blue and purple hexagons. :)
Superb puzzler this, only second to Tetris IMO. I sure hope Alexey Pajitnov got paid lots by Microsoft for the exclusiveness.
Survival mode is my favorite; You may to be in major problems, but just one single smart move change the whole game plan. Top notch game this.
BAZ: Know i see what you mean. :) Serious wont be happy. Hahaha...
Why has this a rating of 80%? Totally legit i say.
Richy, i can't seem to get any ROM (new version) to work with any MAME build i have. Can't recall what i used last time. I just tried playing at Retro Uprising and stream to Twitch. Totally works, but i rather play "at home" making a video myself.
Could you please supply rom and MAME?
Tried to add a pic in the comments fields. Didn't work that well. It looked kinda like this:
