This video is to show the brain can only escape once. This removes the possibility to point scab.
The game ends on level ~16 mind you.
Practice with the right difficulty set to A. It sets the game's difficulty at the highest (equivalent of when you hit 50,000pts on Game B) and play with a good pair of paddle controllers. Once you get good enough on Game A to stay around 90 to 80 lives you should be good enough to marathon this game.
Or you can practice on Game B if you're not used to everything possibly being at the highest speed.
I went to the bathroom once. There's a point somewhere in the recording where I take a break that's bit over a minute

Youtube has issues with sprites which are flashing (bullets will dissapear then reappear every 0.5 seconds or so. Twitch doesn't have this issue.

Currently exporting it to youtube, will add it to the evidence as soon as it's done.
Twitch has a new export feature for video uploads. However, Youtube cannot show the enemies' shots for some reason.

It's a great game. Strats are much different than the arcade version... think I like the NES version more

The only challenging part of the game are the green ships that come from the side shooting at you & might potentially also collide with the player, removing a man. They're the only enemies a player will need to look out for. It seems like there is a pattern for when & what spawns so it should be predictable to when they will start appearing.
I've also seen vids of people getting stuck at the mid boss cause they don't hold down the fire button: shooting a larger shot that's needed to kill both bosses.

This score is brought to you by: Coca Cola.
yes vote here.
oops nvm, didn't look at the date/time. Only looked at where it was situated on the forums thing
Are you going to go for a run on a real NES any time soon?
this one made me want to go for some Balloon FIght gameplay. Got 573,500 on the first day of trying to go for a good score

found this video which shows speed differences between 60hz & 50hz (NTSC/PAL). Voting YES now as it's legit / run is on 50hz ROM
The game seems to be running slower than it should, does this delegitimize the run?
I don't usually vote on picture-only 2600 scores cause the game could of been played on game A & changed to B for the picture & there's no way to tell on which game number it was played on. Due to the low score it shouldn't matter anyways so I'll vote yes
strange how there's 2 categories for 2600 Missile Command G1B.. 1 having a typo

I did not witness any point scabbing, gameplay was done on an original NES.
I think you could get a better score if you grinded at it more.
Good job on the run!
Hopefully my gameplay can teach you a few things to improve your score.
I have difficulty ever going past the part I die at in my video. It keeps shooting more of those orange question mark looking guys & they follow my every move.
Thanks mate
I record my gameplay footage with xsplit locally & upload the videos onto Twitch once done recording. Due to my poor internet connection it'd take hours to reupload to Youtube.
I don't like Youtube as much as Twitch as they tend to block videos from being watched whenever they like.
All I'm thinking I could add is a webcam pointing towards the console and/or controller, which I'm looking to get one by febuary to enhance my video quality (won't have to turn on my old phone & record the console being turned on & off).

I recorded the entire gameplay via GV-USB2 capture device which is contained within the first comment and since HSC doesn't currently fully support twitch videos I had to instead put my proof video first which shows the game was indeed running on an original NES without the use of cheating devices.
The 'no' votes for reasons such as "I think a photo alone isn't sufficient evidence for this score. Video desired." when I haven't even used 1 picture (I used full vids) and the other reason above I see as lazy attempts at voting on HSC as they don't attempt to contact me to show what is wrong within the videos, if they even have looked at them which is highly probable they haven't watched a second of any of them.
Not sure what you're refering to what you/I should screencap.
loud buzzing sound due to possibly faulty power supply, waves on the image, furthest-left & right of the capture showing part of the screens an emulator doesn't show. Also got the picture showing the NES turned on with the game running on my CRT TV. The picture & colors would also look much more perfect if it were played on an emulator. Ex: the grass on the ground blends in at some points, on an emulator they look like a bunch of squares & rectangles.

As the difficulty settings weren't shown during the video, here's the game's manual. It describes difficulty A as having UFOs going after the player ingame & B has no UFOs. I couldn't find any UFOs during the gameplay video therefore I voted yes.
"DIFFICULTY SWITCHES
The ASTEROIDS game has two difficulty levels, a and b. The b level is normal game play for beginning players. The a level offers a bigger challenge with the addition of UFOs(Unidentified Flying Objects) and satellites(see Figures 3 and 4). UFOs are tough to hit, but each one is worth 1000 points. (See Section 5 for SCORING.)
Satellites are larger and easier to destroy. UFOs and satellites may be firing back at you, so be on the lookout for their stray artillery. UFOs do not attack until you have reached over 15,000 points. When satellites and UFOs sneak up to attack you, you'll hear their engines. The satellites have a low pitched engine sound and the UFOs have a higher pitched sound."
Someone voted no with the reason "I wanted to see video of the entire gameplay. A partial recording made me uncomfortable" even though the entire gameplay is found on the first comment of this thread due to the website not taking my Twitch vids.

Famicom version on a "Golden Game 260-in-1" multicart.
Due to the cart's design, some games have a noticeable delay when loading graphics. Ex: Paperboy will have a similar delay/loading times before each bonus rounds.
http://bootleggames.wikia.com/wiki/260_in_1_Multicart
You will find the technical information explaining the loading times before each boss in the overview of the wiki page linked above.
