See if I can beat your scores? Why soitenly!
Not the first Oregon Trail Deluxe troll either.
It's just a troll. Ignore them.
I was lucky to snag this one when It came out.
I remember we got this with our first computer in 1991. Trying to figure out how to play when you know little to nothing about a computer keyboard was a PITA!
If you're playing for fastest time, then you have to finish the game.
I remember playing this on Namco Museum Vol. 1. Too cutesy for me!
You're gonna have to resubmit since you didn't follow the proper settings.
How do you add a watermark?
Begging for votes is considered VERY poor etiquette.
I only vaguely remember this one. I better remember Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs, which I have on DVD.
If you read the category, it states, 'Arcade Emulated/M.A.M.E.' Meaning, pretty much, any form of arcade game emulation.
The fact it takes over ten minutes just to complete the first stage really baffles me.
$540,000? Is insurance going to cover any of that?
Interesting how the Intellivision cover art is like the Atari 2600 version, only this version is better!
I remember playing this one at Chuck E. Cheese's when I was a kid!
I have this one on my PS One. I remember the code that gave you extra continues which would sometimes give you infinite continues if you pressed the button enough. If only I knew how many presses were required.
This is H.E.R.O., not Dragonfire. Wrong screenshot.
Wasn't this once released as Ghost House?
Holy smoke, what's next? StarMaster?
You have to be playing in single player mode for this score to count. Repeatedly playing vs. mode doesn't count.
The only way you could get such a high winning streak is by playing versus mode.
Emulators aren't copyrighted. ROMs are.
Did you notice that Nintendo ROMs are vanishing from the internet?
I'm sorry, but for a score this high, a screenshot isn't enough.
What the-- ANOTHER spinoff of Cabal?
You might as well remove this score.
This is not the high score screen for Operation Thunderbolt. This is the wrong game.
I understand you're new here, but it's really considered poor etiquette to beg for votes.
Those spikes are a real killer!
It sure did! XD
The first time I saw that ending, my thought was, "My insurance! NO!"
Don't feel so proud for cracking my troph.
When I finally got a preowned Genesis in my teenage years, this was the first game I got with it.
The controllers on either end of the screen, as well as the shape of the screen itself.
Oh, and did I mention this girl was one of the lucky ones who got hers on launch day?
Wait, we're now accepting the arcade classics on Switch as Arcade Emulated/MAME?
I'm not saying that you did bad. I'm just saying that begging for votes (or specifically saying that you automatically deserve a yes vote) is kind of disrespectful.
Claiming that your score deserves an automatic yes vote. Basically, you're acting like you think you can guarantee yourself nothing but yes votes.
That's pretty egotistical.
Hence the reason it was never released. At least we had the Atari 7800 version.
There's a rumor that Tod Frye was on drugs when he developed this. I dunno if that's true, but I have to wonder why he made the ship look like a pair of wings instead of a standard sprite?
I've got the Turbo cartridge, but I haven't had a chance to play it yet.
In the past, we had a lot of uploads of Kuku Kube from suspicious players.
A legit score for Kuku Kube? NOW I've seen everything!
This says 'Max Combo,' not 'High Score.'
You know, it helps if you include the video link in the actual evidence section.
Maybe if I get an extra laptop sometime I'll look into it.
I have yet to find a decent Saturn emulator for my PC.
What emulator are you using?
Next time, try playing the correct version!
Odds are it's the trolls at work again.
This was played on Steam. Wrong category.
Don't mention it.
This isn't Super Street Fighter II. This is Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition.
I had this one when I was younger.
Cracking my trophies? This means war!!
There was supposed to be a camera add-on where the player could have their face photographed and added to the game. Unfortunately, someone made a rude gesture into the camera and the feature was scrapped.
Trolls on the loose again.
OK, let's stop this now.
Why are you even bothering commenting after nearly three months?
Difficulty switches only affect the missile speed.
"Jon" is a very easy alias to assume on here. Anyone could easily do that and then say it's their score.
I cannot accept this.
That's what you get for talking about Charlotte's breastplate!
I still don't get how they messed this up. The camera's always zoomed out, the blood is orange, and no fatalities!
Anyone who can complete the first tour on one credit deserves a lot of recognition in my opinion!
That's some mighty fine driving there!
Begging for votes is frowned upon here.
Great run, Carter44!
Is this a homebrew or something?
Agreed, milk in that heat and all that would do more harm than good. This game reminds me of Clash-Road.
Troll account, just ignore it.
I've never heard of region mods before on the Genesis.
Apparently only available in Europe.
What exactly is the C64 Mini?
This was not played on M.A.M.E. Therefore, this does not count.
I'm sorry, but there have been previous compilation discs which have used emulation of arcade cabinets, and all of those have been required to be submitted for their appropriate category. If you do not see the compilation listed, you may request it.
How would that disqualify you?
This isn't MAME. This is one of the arcade compilations. It's not the same as MAME.
So they manage to put three cannons into this version but not the Sega Genesis version? What gives?!
I could learn a lot from you!
If only I had a spare computer.
Troll is at it again.
Final score at 6:12.
Final score at 2:49.
Final score at 8:22.
Final score at 10:22.
Final score at 7:47.
Final score at 7:29.
Final score at 6:50.
Final score at 3:02.
Final score at 5:18.
Final score at 1:45.
Final score at 7:04.
Played at PAX East. I remember at one point I was close to running out of health, then all of a sudden I get a TON of food and end up getting more and more as I go on. Finally made it to Level 22 where I died to the dragon. I paused this just as I was about to die so I could take my final screenshot.
PAX East 2018. The first attempt I just ran out of time as I was about to cross the finish line on the Ultimate Race. The higher score is where I managed to race through the levels faster and accumulate enough bonus time to finish the Ultimate Race.
Namco Museum contest? I can't believe I missed it! When's the next one?
Don't worry about the downvoter. It's just a troll with too much time on their hands.
Actually I read on Wikipedia that it's the NES game but with Ralph added in. Cray-zay!
That looks like the NES version, only with Ralph instead of George!
Just ignore the no voters. They're just being trolls.
I know Pac-Man, the Samurai guy, and Valkyrie. The others I don't recognize at all... unless the lower right girl is Ki?
Definitely Star Force.
You can say THAT again!
Someone spelled the name wrong!
Final score at 6:22.I don't know who the composer was for this one, but I'll be honest, I absolutely hate the music in this game! Whoever composed this must have a thing for music played in C#, and I hate that key!
Final score at 4:12.
You used a continue. The score is invalid.
No, you're wrong.
From the rules:Must be played on a Game Boy compatible handheld device, Super Game Boy SNES/Super Famicom attachment, or Game Boy Player GameCube attachment.
Ooh, so close!
No taking SHROOMS here!
I love this game!
No, I'm not gonna try to go for 5.51!
The official run begins at 1:49. Final time at 1:57.
Trolls, you can't live with them and you can't live without them!
Which emulator do you use?
Final score at 9:30.
Final score at 9:38.
Final score at 23:08.
Final score at 24:10.
Are there actually different track layouts?
Yeah, it was a port. But I had no idea it was first made for the arcade!
I remember seeing the arcade cabinet at a now-defunct bowling alley that had an arcade and I was like, "Wow, it was an arcade game as well as an Atari 7800 game?" I found it to be a lot of fun.
Interesting choice for the game over tune.
Samurai Pizza Cats!
After you defeat the mummies, it gets insanely difficult.
Let's hope I get this job then!
The problem with this one is that rotation is a PITA.
How much do they go for?
I need one of these!
How did they get away without Taito suing?
Also the fact you can't play most games with a keyboard.
You would've thought Commodore would've made the joysticks use two buttons instead of just one, but no, they had to stick with one. Insane.
What track is this? Shouldn't there be separate entries for each of the four tracks?
I found this one preowned once. Glad I picked it up!
At 5:05, it looks like he's speeding up the gameplay in order to gain more points.
How did you get JZINTV to work on your machine? I've tried it but nothing happens.
I remember discovering this one during my freshman year in high school. We had it installed on all the computers there since it was small enough.
Not everyone is a 'bad enough dude' to rescue the president, so don't feel too bad.
An underrated classic.
A cheap take on Nintendo's Gumshoe in my opinion.
From the rules it states, "No emulator advantages (sic)"
The only good thing about that game is being able to make a prank call to Moe's Tavern.
o/~ The trolls are back and they're causing us troubleHey la-di-da, the trolls are back!Better get them out of here on the doubleHey la-di-da, the trolls are back!Hey, we know they aren't right! Now let's get them off this site! o/~
This game could've been a lot better if Bart could take more than just TWO hits! If you ask me, they should've made it so getting hit just costs you a small portion of your time.
To think I just did a run in this game last night. Looks like I'm gonna have to go back and redo it!!
It's funny, when I was 15, I adopted a baby rabbit which I thought was a girl, so I called her Bunny Orchid. Unfortunately, I later learned he was a boy. Still, I thought it was cute.
No scrolling in this one, but on the other hand there's none of that annoying music!
I think so. And is that really coming out?
I remember playing this on my old C64 joystick thingamajig. Sad it broke.
Yeah, that was during their best time. In my opinion, their best game of all time was Perfect Dark.
OBS is a free program you download. And Rare was great until Microsoft snatched them up and worked them to the point that they all left. Bill Gates, you have a special place in hell for what you did!
Great fighting, you're an up and coming boxer!
Gentlemen, is this argument really necessary?
The only one worse is the Suzuka!
Close, but no banana!
This is one of the tougher tracks, I admit.
So my mother actually got a score of over 100,000 points? Wow, that must've been some good playing!
How high does the score go before it rolls over? My mother once said she played so long one night that she rolled the score.
This is not an easy game. My hat is off to you!
I would use my smartphone, but propping it up is a pain in the ass.
I remember as a child, the Swedish Chef always cracked me up.
Oh? What happened?
The Atari 2600 version too.
Anyone who can reach the lower of the two patch scores has my admiration!
Yeah, Taz was modified and sold as Asterix in Europe.
Close, but no banana! You do get a yes vote as a consolation prize!
Great, now let's see about getting Super Cobra Arcade added!
So you got Ending C? I love the one where they get out and the car falls apart. I'm always like, "NO! MY INSURANCE RATES!" XD
No Trolls Allowed!
I still remember the first time I found this game. It's rather fun.
Nowadays, they call that track the Namco Raceway, because Namco no longer has the rights to the Fuji Speedway name. Likewise, the Suzuka Course is called the Wonder Circuit.
OK, I see your point.
That's all I needed!
How did you push the guy at 4:01?
This is why admins need the ability to see who voted no!
We're not discussing MAME here. We're discussing an NES Emulated game which does not have Dip Switches and things like that. Nor does The Tower of Druaga have in-game settings that can be altered. The category is correct, and the genre has nothing to do with this. You are making yourself look very suspicious here.
What do you mean 'default settings' on an emulator? This isn't MAME you know!
OK, seriously, you expect him to show his score for EVERY single floor? Do you know how many floors there are in that game? This user has submitted scores like this many times and has always been approved. Also, what settings are you talking about? There are no difficulty settings in this game.
One of THOSE bootleg things?Tsk tsk tsk...
Unfortunately, I was still in school when the game came out. I had no job.Thank the stars for emulation.
I can't believe I missed out on this one when it came out.
You got it!
The trolls are back and our ratings are in trouble!Hey-la-di-da, the trolls are back!Better deal with them on the double!Hey-la-di-da, the trolls are back!Hey, they know we ain't cheating! Now, they need a major beating!
The emulators apparently read input faster than the actual machines do.
Methinks it's the same troll from before who's been in hiding.
I second this!
I'm skipping since you used autofire.
A winner isn't you... but you are close!
I still can't believe you finished the game on a single credit. That's amazing!
I wonder what kind of place is reserved in Hell for them?
I definitely think it's fake. The fact he's a referee makes me believe that most, if not all, of his records are phony.
OK, are you trying to prove Todd Rogers is legit?
I never knew about that. I just have a preference for NTSC.
Proof that if Ray Kassar had given Tod Frye time to polish up the game, they could've had a better Pac-Man than what we got!
Final score at 8:26.
It may seem like I'm being killed by invisible enemies from time to time, but this is due to the flickering ghosts not fully being recorded by my recording software.
Final score at 15:06.
Final score at 5:50.Submitted it under the correct category this time.
It was a mistake!
FFS, chill out! You could've just skipped instead!!
Final score at 5:50.
My personal strategy is to approach from slightly beneath and punch him.
No visible score.
I don't see the score here, so skipping for now.
Whatever you do, DON'T use a high frequency controller! I learned that the hard way when my car got stuck in high gear during a game of Dodge 'Em!
I personally prefer the Atari 2600 version.
It's not easy, but it can be done!
I believe in situations like this, you move the decimal point to the right.
Coco Savege is the 1980s equivalent of SNK bosses!
The letters of the word 'GOAL' congratulating you? NOW I've really seen everything!*faints*
I've beaten Level 1 once.
Even after all this time, the computer still puts up a good match!
Well Alien Smashers is a fun game, but the promotion wasn't really necessary IMO. Then again, given how Atari Corporation wasn't big on advertising the Atari 7800, maybe it was.
Why the hell would they even choose such a low-rated movie?
I never knew this game had a definitive end. I wouldn't mind $10,000!
Slightly sexual? *whistles*
How good are those things? I hear the emulation is wonky.
Don't worry about it. You didn't know.
That was from before I came out as transgender.
If it works better than the GunCon 3, then I'm for it.
They really enhanced the graphics and sounds for this one. I also like how they made Claude the only one without a helmet to make him more recognizable. Unfortunately, by the time it was released, its time had passed. Now if we could just get a home version of Time Crisis 5!
Where are all the backgrounds coming from?
I have been a lifelong fan of Pole Position, and I knew each track had a score limit (roughly) based on the default settings, but THIS many points? Holy shit.
Actually, Crazy Otto was designed by General Computer Corporation as their original version of a Pac-Man bootleg which eventually ended up evolving into Ms. Pac-Man.
Yeah, it's best if you don't do that.
Now we've got Operation Wolf? What's next, Continental Circus?!
That is correct. I think there was a list of which teams were which somewhere.
I still think 'Duet' would've been a far more approriate title for this one!
I still remember learning about this and other adult 'NES' games while looking at a rarity of list of NTSC NES games on the internet back in the late 1990s.
I know. Once you get the location of the obstacles down, it's a piece of cake. The cracker eating contest is the one that always gets me. In my opinion, if you really want to rack up the money, play the waiter game as much as you can later on. You can really rake in the money if you're good with your throwing of pies and dodging them.
Final score at 35:23.
It's been fixed.
Once I dig out my Atari 7800 I will.
The trolls are back.
ANYONE can easily put in a name on the screen and say it's them.
If you click on the legit rating it should tell you why. Unless they chose 'Other.'
A piece of paper or something with your name on it. Some kind of a name tag.
Seems the troll is back in town. What was the reason?
I plead the Fifth!
Final score at 5:34.
Submitted under the correct category this time. I make mistakes, so sue me!
Seems the troll is back. They voted I didn't follow the rules here, and on my latest score for Star Wars: ESB, they said it was the wrong category. Looks like they're going with whatever they feel like.
I do have one, it's just packed away in one of my boxes from when I moved. And who the hell voted wrong category?!
Final score at 7:37.
Final score at 5:08.
Yes, I remember that game well. The music was amazing.
Wouldn't it be more accurate to call this game 'Duet' instead? XD
A picture alone isn't enough. You need to have an identification of some kind in the picture as well.
That's very weird.
I didn't have the samples unfortunately.
No one is going to believe your scores unless you have an ID of some kind in your pictures.
Final score at 3:22. To think I once had the highest score for this game on TG!
Final score at 9:29. However you must pause right at that second to see the score, since it's only onscreen for a second. I did try restarting the game to see if the score would reappear, but sadly it didn't.
Final score at 16:50.
Final score at 5:43.
I never knew this version had a definitive ending!
This should be under emulated, not arcade. Skipping for now.
Final score at 10:13.
I was surprised I made it to the 4th mission.
Final score at 4:41.
Final score at 5:03.
Wow. It seems Atari Corporation didn't think you needed more than one button for a joystick!
The timing takes practice, but the advice is appreciated!
What I want to know is how do the controls function?
A two button game with one button? Sounds difficult.
I can NEVER bowl a strike in this silly game! What do you have to do?
Final score at 8:02.
Yeah, I can usually do better.
Final score at 3:43.As a disclaimer, it should be noted that no video bulls were harmed in any way during the making of this video. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the matadors...
I should've guessed as much.
I didn't know they made a sequel.
Your skills are quite impressive!
What the hell are you talking about?
Final score at 4:27.
We don't accept the Switch version of the game. You have to play on actual Neo*Geo hardware for this to count. Also, screenshots aren't exactly sufficient proof.
Personally, this was a good port in my opinion.
Final score at 5:11. Also visible on the high score screen at 5:36.
To be honest, this wasn't one of my better runs. I mean, come on? I'm only a Private?!
Trying to crack my trophy, are you?
No evidence? Get outta here!
Had to continue in order to get my final score.
That's one heck of a continue screen.
Dragster and Kaboom! were unofficial adaptations by Activision.
Atari, Inc.'s decision to stick to manufacturing mostly arcade adaptations for the Atari 2600 wasn't a very smart move.
I'm into brawlers sometimes. But with my Sailor Moon shirt on? I'll have to try that! Although I will say I prefer Sailor Jupiter.
What a coincidence that I'm wearing my Sailor Moon shirt!
Video unavailable. skipping for now.
I can do better usually, but thanks.
Final score at 5:15.
Final score at 3:31.The crash on Stage 2 was what killed me.
Final score at 4:49. Usually I can do a lot better than this. Don't ask why I did LTT as my initials.
Final score at 9:52. It's only on screen for a few seconds though, so you'll have to pause then and there.
You and me both, and I don't even have a job right now!
No evidence here. Skipping for now.
This game isn't Crack'ed up what it's supposed to be!
The troll's back.
Just for the future, .inp files alone aren't always enough. You should include either a video or a snapshot from a camera/phone with your nametag in the picture.
This is Ms. Pac-Man, not Pac-Man. Please resubmit under the correct name.
Another one of those adult novelty games I see.
And the competition gets going!
People have been claiming his score in Dragster was fake, as are other scores of his. I don't trust him one bit.
Does this mean Mr. Activision might not have cheated after all?!
True, but those were Japan only games.
I love this game too.
The animation is a bit slow, not to mention the lack of checkpoints really hurts.
She's the brunette with the ponytail. She has the green uniform.
Final score at 19:58. However, it's only on screen for a couple of seconds so you will need to pause.I've never done so well. I've never made it to Mission 4 before!
If you say so.
This is only the first two areas of Stage 1...?
You might have to re-submit this one I'm afraid. The pictures aren't working.
Sure did. Now if we could just deal with the stupid troll who's no-voting on purpose.
Sailor Jupiter, my favorite scout! Too bad the troll is at it again...
Final score at 2:33.
Final score at 2:41.
Final score at 3:58.
Final score at 4:31. Again, sorry about the cursor.
Final score at 2:30. Sorry about the cursor.
Final score at 3:00.
If anyone can provide me with a working ROM for the C64 version of Buggy Boy, I will love them forever!
Where did you get this ROM? I've been trying to find a working ROM for awhile but none of them work.
Final score at 17:07.
Final score at 3:57.
Final score at 8:31.Yes, I know the video keeps going after that, but I don't manage to score any more points for the remainder. Stupid cheap thugs.
Final score at 13:07.
Final score at 7:41.
Final score at 3:04.
I remember in Nintendo Power, there was the quote, "Ev'ryting's not so irie, mon!"
A troll voting other? CHINGA TU MADRE, CABRON!
Final score at 17:30.You know, I always found this game to be not as difficult as other Battletoads games. Sure, it's challenging, but it's still pretty fair. Even the jet bike level is a lot easier than Turbo Tunnel.
Final score at 3:17.Ugh, just why? Why did they bother releasing this game?
Final score at 13:58.To me, the swinging hammer is worse than doing knuckle push-ups!
Don't trust my reputation? Look who's talking!
Final score at 10:53.
"Don't trust the submitter based on past actions..."
Sing it with me,The trolls are back and they're causing lots of trouble.Hey now, hey now, the trolls are back!
One day I'm gonna finish this blasted game without losing all my lives!!
Final score at 22:14.
Near the end of Mission 5 the game freezes for a moment. That's due to a technical difficulty.
They're always sneaky like that!
I'll stick with emulation, thanks!
I still can't believe you own a real Neo Geo.
I know the feeling well.
Close, but no bananas!
Where'd you find this?
Good choice using Sailor Jupiter!
I agree. And some of the tunes are out of place too!
First version I ever played. Unfortunately, I had no idea the levels were shorter than normal. Then again, having two player simultaneous gameplay is a bonus compared to the Sega Genesis and PC-Engine versions.
This game? Oh, gross...
I mainly played this one when I was in college from 2000-2004.
They finally found a way to emulate Maximum Force? Wow, I feel like I'm back at my old college lounge!
Seriously, your ship stops on a dime in this one? I can't believe Atari made this! I played it once and didn't like it. I'll stick with my good old Flashback 2 instead!
Just about all the games on the Flashback 1 are bad. Blame it on the fact they used NES-on-a-chip technology. Hell, even Asteroids doesn't have the inertia!
One of my favorite anime!
How do you get this game?
This is pretty much a re-skinned version of the Cabbage Patch Kids game for the ColecoVision!
I know, the controls are a bit stiff. Unfortunately, up until 1997, it was the only version I could play along with the Game Boy version. I did get the Game Gear version in 1994, but still!
The SNES version was pretty good. Despite the lack of blood, it looked and sounded the closest to the arcade version. At least Nintendo of America learned their lesson after that.
Sorry, that's NOT the target!
I'll never understand how they could do this so poorly. I mean, the way the special move commands have been altered is a real shame. Not to mention, the choppy animation and poor hit detection.
Honestly, I think David Crane would rather forget this game were ever made!
An interesting take on Dodge 'Em.
I get it now.
Sorry, all I was getting was a blank.
At any rate, what's the difference between this and 'regular' Xevious?
"Super" doesn't make it better.
Vote begging is frowned upon.
It's considered very poor etiquette to beg for votes.
The pole vault is one tough event. The only reason it's easy on the Atari 2600 is because of the glitch.
I've come THIS close to getting a perfect score, but that darned frog near the end (by Quickclaw) always gets me!
The Force is definitely strong with you!
I love this game still to this day.
Didn't know this version existed. Aside from the less colors, it's almost like a carbon copy of the Sega Master System version. It even has the game over theme!
Between how choppy the graphics are and the fact the music sounds like it's being played on cheap synthesizers (not to mention a couple of them are in the wrong key!) this isn't the best version of Pole Position.
One of my biggest pet peeves with some games too!
Nope. Didn't have the money at the time.
I still can't believe I once enjoyed this game.
I had this one for awhile. It was worse than the Atari 2600 version in my opinion!
Ignore them, they're just trolls.
How you can do that without breaking your joystick is an amazing feat.
Two trolls are worse than one!
I'm getting the same votes too.
Where'd you get the backlit Game Boy?
Ugh. So many from Norway though.
We do? Because they voted against me for reputation on my latest submission.
The trolls are back, only this time they chose reputation. At least I'm more reputable than you trolls are!
Yeah, I was amazed at how fast I could hammer the arrow keys.
Final score at 13:03.
You're gonna crack my trophy, huh? Now it's on!
The fact you made it that far before getting a game over says something about your skills.
That's actually Namco Museum 50th Anniversary Edition. Skipping for now.
To think, this game was inspired by Gunpei Yokoi watching a businessman on a train pass the time by pressing random buttons on a calculator. Mr. Yokoi had the idea of using LCD technology to create a simple game that you could play anywhere you went. It's so simple by today's standards, but back then the game was a huge hit and helped spawn more LCD games like it... and eventually the Game Boy.
Didn't know the ROM was available for download.
This looks worse than the NES game.
I hate to tell you this, but a photo alone isn't enough. You have to have your name written on a piece of paper or some kind of custom identification thing if you want to be viewd as legit.
And no relation whatsoever to the world of J.R.R. Tolkien!
I remember seeing another title thing on top where it showed Mr. and Mrs. Pac-Man getting married.
Can't believe it, you had such a great run, then one hit and you're done!
What's the trick?
Anyone who can make it through a Time Crisis game without continuing gets my approval!
I still believe you, don't worry.
Yeah, it's a tough game. Did you play as Keith or Robert?
Sorry for cracking your Trophy!
Utiliza dos joysticks, uno para cada brazo. Por lo general alterno, con un brazo subiendo y el otro bajando.
The characters look like clones of Mike Tyson, Hulk Hogan, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Mr. T. I'm sure that was the designers' intent.
You might want to check and make sure the emulator's control settings have 'enable all four directions' set to on.
Stella, huh? For some reason, even though I hammer the arrow keys, the runner sometimes slows down for no reason. Any thoughts on why this is?
Also, which emulator did you use?
Do you use a keyboard or a joystick? Because when I use the keyboard, sometimes my man slows down for no reason.
How anyone can do so well is beyond me. I have trouble on emulation!
What I want to know is how you can run so fast with a keyboard? I've tried it many times, but I don't run as fast as I should.
How did you do that? I've tried using my keyboard, but my character doesn't run as fast as he could, and sometimes he seems to slow down, no matter how much I mash the keys!
You mean it was never actually released in arcades before?
It was released in the late 1980s, not long after the release of the NES. At the time, Atari Corporation was still focusing mainly on computers, even though the Atari 7800 was out. They wanted to compete with the NES, so they marketed the Atari XEGS as both a computer and a gaming system. It's pretty much an Atari 8-bit computer with a detachable keyboard, if I recall correctly.
It's funny, last night I had a dream I got an Atari XEGS, then woke up and realized it was just a dream. Darn it all!
I remember first playing this on the Atari 2600, not realizing it was originally an arcade game (albeit only in Japan.) Makes me wonder how Parker Brothers got the rights to the game?
Personally, I always believed that the NES-on-a-chip clones are technically using the actual hardware, as opposed to the Retron, which clearly uses emulation. I've had several of them and they just boot right up. No menus or anything.
I wonder if the designers were inspired by Monty Python's Flying Circus?
How did you get the import game to play on your 360?
My DOS PC also used two buttons.
That's truly amazing that you made it through the game while only taking one hit.
Does the Atari ST have two fire buttons on the joysticks, or is it just one with dual handedness here?
I personally see no problems here.
This is not the official version being played in M.A.M.E. so this does not count. Also, you have no identification whatsoever.
Ain't much you can do.
Questa è una scelta piuttosto interessante per la colazione!
I say, the trolls are back in town!
Sing it with me, the trolls are back in town!
Yeah, Coco Savage is so cheap, even the SNK fighting game bosses fear him!
Final score at 5:02. I can do better than this, I just need time to warm up.DO NOT COMMENT TO SAY YOU VOTED!
Final score at 15:30. I hate Coco Savage so much.DO NOT COMMENT TO SAY YOU VOTED!
Final score at 14:08.DO NOT COMMENT JUST TO SAY YOU VOTED!
Final score at 3:08.Do NOT comment just to say you voted!
Final score at 4:41.Do not (I repeat, DO NOT) comment on this just to say that you voted.
You may have sustained a lethal injury, but as a compsensation you get a yes vote!
Actually, that was because of Nintendo of America's policies against hate groups and things like that at the time. One of their policies was that, "Nintendo will not approve games reflect ethnic, religious, nationalistic, or sexual stereotypes of language" (sic)
Yet, despite this, Master-D still retained his mustache, called the player a 'damn fool' and exploded in a graphic manner.
This would've been a LOT better if the ship sprite had been drawn a bit differently.
What the hell? Was Custer's Revenge and other shit like that not good enough for developers of the 80s?!
I never understood what's so entertaining about a game like this.
I still don't get how anyone could think a game like this would be entertaining.
You cannot be serious! I have no Wal-Marts I can get to, so I guess it's Amazon for me.
Where can I get one of these?
ANOTHER series I must check out!
Who's that in your picture?
Only an F? I remember a kid at the arcade finishing a game of Golden Axe and complaining about a similar grade!Should've told him he wasn't in school and to stop whining!
Nananananananana, nananananananana, YES VOTE!
Did they even include the classic theme song?
Nice set up!
OK, The Castle was the original game, but it was never localized.
Castle Excellent was the sequel, which was released in the USA under the name 'Castlequest.'
Get it now?
Wait, I'm thinking of Castle Excellent. Also known as Castlequest in the USA on the NES. One of the worst NES games ever made.
Oh hell no! Not THAT game!
They're from the cartoon series Scooby-Doo. Scooby-Doo is a talking Great Dane, and Shaggy is his owner. They're both cowardly.
Shaggy and Scooby-Doo are voting here?
The trolls strike back.
Where can you get the TAC-2? Amazon? Ebay?
They even replicated the Activision logo!
I didn't know they made this? Unless it was a homebrew?
I remember the first time I saw StarFox in action, I thought it was going to be like this. I was wrong, but I still enjoyed it!
I remember playing this a few times as a teenager.
You might want to show an image of your console with the cartridge inside. Otherwise people aren't going to believe you.
This isn't the 50th Anniversary Edition, this is the regular Namco Museum.
Close, but no banana!
Then maybe I should start stretching again!
I know quite well about Sukhasana. I also know about Padmasana. Hell, when I was younger I could sit like that easily!
So you can use a walkman with the Starpath Supercharger? Interesting!
Et tu, brute?!
I remember watching this show on Saturday mornings when I was younger!
Hey Rocky, watch me pull a high score out of my hat!
You don't have to post that on every single thing. It's annoying!
From right to left, Snooper and Blabber, Quick Draw McGraw, Snagglepuss, and Huckleberry Hound?
It's because the Pro-Lines are very uncomfortable after awhile, and they break easily!
You have an Atari 7800 control pad? I envy you!!
It says your video is unavailable.
A little notice? He knows the rules.
There's no need to tell him what to do. He's been a trusted member for years.
This is point leeching! It's disallowed!
Wrong one. That's just a patch for the Original Edition.
Yeah, OK, whatever.
Where'd you find the ROM?
They look cool. Where can I find 'em?
Is this a new thing or something?
I meant Zero Wing.
Just look at their best known game!
I never even knew this existed.
Looks like he really made you punch drunk!
Where can I find this?
Someone made a ROM dump of this finally?
Which boxer did you make it to?
I still can't believe they made this game. Frankly, it's an insult to Pitfall! in my opinion.
Too bad the Pro-Line Joysticks hadn't been made when the Commodore 64 was made!
No, it's just played on a Game Boy Advance.
And Lee, you might want to include a piece of paper or something similar with your name on it so this appears more legit.
No, it's a regular Game Boy game. The Game Boy Advance is backwards compatible!
Yeah, kinda makes you wish the Commodore 64 games had keyboard control options!
How hard is that to do, anyway?
Looks okay to me. Then again, these are fairly new glasses.
A Gundam game for THIS console? Now I've seen everything! *faints*
Dude, it's in the third picture!
Stop begging for votes already! That's annoying!
I could never even make it that far!
I remember playing this when I was very young. Man did I stink!
A new homebrew game? Is there a ROM someplace?
That's my MO also.
I wholeheartedly agree!
Begging for votes is highly frowned upon.
This game actually has an ending? I don't believe it!
I think this would've been better if they'd worn the original outfits they wore in the movie, instead of just cosplaying as the video game characters. (Granted, Chun-Li did wear her movie outfit, but still!)
As much as I hate to say this, this looks like a real $#%ty idea for a game!
You learn something new each day!
There's a reason this game was so rare, because the children who tested it didn't like it. To me, anyone who can score even a single point in this game deserves recognition!
I never knew Ballblazer had a red label release.
You have sustained a lethal injury. Sorry, but you are finished here.
As a consolation, you get a yes vote!
I always loved this game.
It will happen with time.
Begging for votes is not advised.
To be honest, I can never remember to start OBS before I play something. Right now I guess I'm practicing stuff in general.
Good to know.
They don't have the joust in this one?
My hat is off to you!
You actually had the guts to play Action 52? I salute you!
It's OK, we know it's you.
Only uses the light gun? Jeez.
If I had to hazard a guess, I'd think it's made for older television sets. Probably why the accuracy is off. Can't you use a joystick instead?
What the hell? I was expecting smoother gameplay than that!
I don't get it, why is Pearl's score at -1%?
It sure does!
Playing this with a single fire button must be difficult.
It is quite difficult. The AVGN had a field day with this game.
What emulator do you use?
So what exactly is it you're trying to do in this game?
Surely I can't be the only one who thinks the music that plays at the beginning of each period sounds a little like Elton John's 'Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting.'
Unfortunately, it's the return of the trolls.
Figures, my score is voted legit and now you're trying to crack it!
This means war!!
You have received a fatal wound.
Kind of like a simplified version of the Operation Wolf message.
It's not an easy game.
Don't lose a second! OK! High gear! Let's go! Go go go!
A Sears Tele-Games Console, that was my first Atari 2600!
I love this game.
Shouldn't this go under emulated?
Sing it with me,
"The trolls are back in town! I say, the trolls are back in town!"
That first image is creepy yet cute in a weird way.
If it wasn't for the Wild West boss, this game would be a LOT better!
Whoever made this hack is an honest-to-Falz pervert!
I always thought the tune at 1:38 was like the official 'Pole Position anthem.'
Anyone who can beat this game without continuing deserves a medal in my opinion!
I'm skipping this for now...
I was about nine years old when I saw that infamous continue screen. It stayed with me for a LONG time.
I know, it's strange.
I remember playing this game at Disney World, then that year when I got my NES for Christmas, since there weren't many games out already, this was one of the games I got with it.
This was the only NES game developed by Shigeru Miyamoto that was never released in the USA because Nintendo of America refused to approve any games that had religious imagery in them. If only they had altered the crosses to something else perhaps, although that large cross in the center of the screen might have been a problem.
That's a real 'crappy' idea, putting toilets in the game!
Dah-dah-dah-dah-dahhhh! Puppy power!
Thank you, JES!But our princess is in another castle!
The hammer swing is the worst.
Well done, DVG-san!
I always liked this one.
You cracked my score! Now it's on!
You just can't replicate the arcade experience at home.
I think the developers used the wrong quotes for this one!
Activision never really handled their arcade ports well.
You only made PFC rank? I can usually reach the rank of Sergeant before I die.
Kept running out of time, hm?
You have to move the joystick upwards to jump? Sounds awkward.
Don't you have trouble with the joystick having to be manually re-centered? Or does the emulator do that on its own?
How do you play it using one button?
Shouldn't we have separate categories for each track?
I agree with that one!
The problem with the Atari 5200, in my opinion, is that if you emulate it, you have to use a real analog controller, otherwise you run into difficulty.
Had no idea this one was made for Amiga. I always thought the Amiga joystick only had one button though?
The #1 high score for this was played on Supreme Master difficulty.
Seems like a fairly decent port. Which emulator do you use?
You mean IF I can find it!
You're damn right about that!!
The Atari 2600 version probably just didn't have the resources necessary, but the Intellivision version was just plain crap.
I always thought they did a good job with this port.
Of course, you realize, THIS means war!!
So he just flickers or something?
I remember having a dream that they made a Thundercats game for the NES, but I was afraid to put it in, because I was thinking, "What does Lion-O's death animation look like?"
A lot more fun than the Atari 2600 game made by Apollo!
Never heard of this one before. Rather interesting concept, fighting werewolves instead of the usual zombies.
Careful, or I might catch Pac-Man fever too!
Final score at 2:54. Can't believe I submitted under the wrong category previously.
Final score at 10:37. When the game ends, there's no delay, it just cuts back to the title screen, then another press of the button starts a new game. I didn't know this until it was too late. My final score is at 10:37, right before I die for the last time.
Final score at 2:55.
Fusion, it's made for Windows. I don't know of any 32X emulators for Android.
I've played many different games for the PS1 throughout my lifetime.
At least you made it to the second stage! I'm lucky if I make it that far!
How I love this game.
The arcade game is just as hard as the console games!
Doing what you do best, eh?
I agree! Even the Atari 2600 version was better than this!
THAT'S a mental image I did NOT need!
Doesn't look like the Jumpman I'm accustomed to.
No identification of any kind will ever suffice for a troll.
I would not be surprised.
It's a good thing this game was scrapped before it was released. I mean, instead of geting the Solvalou, we just get, what, a pair of fly wings?
Why did they vote no this time?
Definitely the best racing games!
I can assure you that you're not the only one. I've had the same issue too.
It ain't Wendell Wilkie!
More than likely because it was an unreleased prototype I'm thinking?
I can imagine it's fun but difficult.
Oh, and your new picture must be from Falling Hare, am I right?
Final score at 7:40.
I know it says 'BW mode' early on, but that's because I accidentally hit the key. There is no change by using Color or black-and-white mode as far as I'm aware of.
Trolls, you can't live with them, you can't live without them.
He was rather old, I must say.
For the last time, THIS DOES NOT COUNT AS EMULATED!
I'm sorry, but I cannot vote yes on this.
This is NOT emulated. Emulated means playing on an actual emulator, like Stella or Z26. This is part of a compilation, which does not count.
I still don't get why they bothered making this. I mean seriously, twenty matches of Team A vs. Team B, same stuff over and over? It seems rather repetitive in my opinion. Sure, Pro Wrestling for the Sega Master System had a bit more variety, but it was still pretty much the same thing. Not to mention, that bizarre cover art.
Just ignore it, they're trolling.
Score Wars: The Trolls Strike Back!
Final score at 5:56.
Did this one for TG. Since it was a better score than before, decided to update it.
Final score at 5:07.
Gee, this is fun, Rocky! Just like in the amusement park!
Final score at 11:41.
I got the exact same rank on the same race you retired on. Coincidence?
I remember this one. I believe it shows a female referee holding up a yellow card on the playfield image?
Does it have the classic theme?
I still think they should've called this Duet!
Final score at 6:44.
You really need to include a nametag of some sort in your photos, otherwise you're going to get voted 'No.'
Or they're just being trolls in general...
I remember playing a game with the same title on my PC. The difference is that it was an unofficial Indiana Jones game, as the documentation identified your character as 'Indy' and after the title screen appeared, you were treated to a PC speaker rendition of the Raiders march!
Final score at 6:16.
Final score at 4:07.
I think the name 'Duet' is more accurate!
The trolls are back in town!
Final score at 4:17. Be sure to pause as it doesn't stay on screen too long.
Is this a homebrew or an unreleased prototype?
I always thought this was a cute game. A penguin going on an ice skating adventure across Antarctica. But that awful music!
I was wondering the same about the bezel art.
Only a Private? Go back to basic training!
Indeed, he is. But there's a rule we need to remember here: Don't feed the trolls!
Partial recordings aren't going to work.
Just showing a brief clip isn't enough. You need to show footage of your entire game.
More like 'Duet' amirite?
Played at Arisia. Definitely not one of my better scores.
I got this at Arisia 2017. I was real lucky this time, as not only did I finish the race, I didn't crash even once!
Who's the woman in the picture?
Are you using three or six button mode?
You have to hit the A and C buttons. Then press block when the power is high enough.
Don't worry about that, man. There are just some people who vote 'Other' for no reason other than to be rude.
Crack MY score? THIS means war!
One day away from getting that darned trophy icon! Oh well!
I always liked this one. It's a shame you only see Holly and Mike briefly.
I never heard of that one before.
What program did you use to record this? I tried using OBS but I couldn't capture the whole screen for some reason.
I can appreciate that, but not everyone has access to a video recording device. Especially when someone is going to an arcade. Given that he took several pictures with his name badge, I feel this is sufficient enough.
You have no identification of any kind here in your screenshot, not to mention a single screenshot is not usually considered valid evidence, especially given how high of a score you have. INP files aren't always acceptable either. Please reconsider next time.
I don't get it, what's with the trolls?
The video doesn't work for some reason.
As made famous by the mustached man on the background:"Here's another fine mess you've gotten me into!"
I guess we'll have to request this?
Sorry, but we've chosen to disagree.
I have no control over that category.
Does this really count as 'emulated?' It looks like it's on the Atari Classics pack for Xbox One.
I can only imagine.
Looks like Tac-Scan there.
Final time is at 4:05.
Sorry, S.Baz, but it seems I've cracked your national trophy!
That'd be an achievement in itself.
Final score at 10:53. The video pauses briefly once or twice due to the fact that ProSystem pauses when the focus changes. Unfortunately, one of my programs was prompting me to update. Sorry!
I can beat this version of Ghouls N Ghosts, but it takes a few continues.
Final time at 4:07.
Final time at 4:03, and also in the high score entry screen shortly thereafter. I'm not the best racer, but I try!
You actually managed to defeat this game without continuing... Teach me, master!
When I'm less tired perhaps.
I was just playing this one tonight, and man does the hand cramp up!
How are you gentlemen! All your hand cramps are belong to us!
Only completed one lap, huh?
Ichigo sometimes calls me by my first name on here.
I've heard of that user, but I don't know why they'd do that.
Wow, I'm only 36!
You're older than me by two years!
The force is strong with you.
I remember playing this at a local Radio Shack when I was about three or four years old. Man, I'm old!
This game doesn't keep track of continues like some games do. I've tried the game myself and I've had the ones digit go up without continuing.
You seriously need to lay off the new players. Everyone was new at one point, and sometimes people make mistakes.
Final Fight always has the best continue screens. The first one has you tied to a chair while a dynamite fuse burns, while the second one has you tied up as water floods, and the third one has you chained to a table as a spiked trap descends.
I had always seen the various Alex Kidd games but this was the first one I played.
This is one tough game. I mean one hit and you die?
Never mind I got it... albeit with my avatar's color going over the main logo's background. :(
I have GIMP but I don't know how to work with it properly. Maybe you could help me out? Maybe make a logo pic similar to yours but with 'L T' instead, and my avatar in the lower right corner?
I don't have PhotoShop unfortunately, just Paint. Bleah!
Found it. Now to make my own custom tag. Where can I get that plastic thing you put yours underneath?
I can't find that High Score logo anywhere.
You almost had that first Bonus Stage... one more hit and you would've had it!
There was no way for me to put that in.
Thanks. I really fouled up at the beginning of the third course though.
It's not easy to play with one button.
Final score at 11:18.
Final score at 1:55. Again recording cuts out abruptly.
Final score at 4:44.
Final score at 4:43. You'll need to pause just as I crash, as the recording cut out abruptly again.
Final score at 5:17.
Final score at 2:05.
Once again recording cuts out abruptly. Final score at 9:29.
Final time at 12:52.
Recording cuts out abruptly at the end. Final score is at 9:25, right before I die.
Final score at 8:51.
It's on now!!
The music is great.
Video is set private. Might want to fix that.
You own the actual cartridge for this game? Amazing!
Final score at 9:05.
Final score at 26:20.
GDV at 10:16.
Final score at 10:15.
Final score at 4:08.
Final score at 7:11.
Final score at 8:27.
Final score at 3:06.
Final score at 9:31.
Final score at 4:03.
I'm not too good at it myself.
In Japan, Namco has a 'numeric' representation as 7650. So this score is kind of an ironic pun.
It is Jungle Hunt. In fact, this was the original version of the game when it was first released. However, the estate of Edgar Rice Burroughs threatened to sue Taito for copyright infringement, so Taito modified the game into Jungle Hunt.
Kick, punch, you know the rest! You're taking on X, you're taking on the best!
This is a rather interesting take on the Breakout formula. I like how Marion, my favorite character from Gunbird, is included too!
It might be a strategy, but it's not within the rules that he HAS to do such a thing either. I think your logic is out of balance.
oyamafamily:Your reason for voting NO is bogus.
What the hell kind of logic is THAT?
So someone did a homebrew of Bosconian? What's next? Rally-X? Galaga? Pole Position even?!
Is this a joke? Why are they voting no?
Muncher, a.k.a. miniature Pac-Man!
Without identification, you're not likely to be voted legitimate.
You're likely to be downvoted since you have no identification in your pictures.
You need some kind of identification for your scores to be voted legit. Skipping for now.
Indeed, that's Moon Patrol for ya!
Trust me, if riding a bike were as easy as this, I'd be the women's Tour de France winner for every year up until now!
I know. I'm just saying.
I used to know every boxer inside and out!
Round 1 with Mike Tyson has to be the longest ninety seconds of your life.
Yeah, there will be votes, let it be!
I've heard of the swap trick, but never understood it really.
Playing copied games?
*she shakes her head*Tsk tsk tsk...
Yeah, the controls are different. The car accelerates automatically, while the button brakes. Very odd.
Tough qualifying run, huh?
This looks like a fun title.
How'd you make that identification tag?
Just let them be. No use wasting time yelling at them.
You're not an admin or moderator you know. Telling these people what to do serves no purpose.
Between the lack of working videos and the fact that picture has nothing to do with anything that would be related to the game, I daresay this is another troll.
You really don't expect us to believe that you can complete Banshee Boardwalk in 15 seconds, do you?
It's not so much that you're using it on a PS2, it's that you put it in PS One Emulated. It should go under regular PlayStation 1.
You're thinking of the PlayStation 3. The PlayStation 2 has ALWAYS been backwards compatible with PlayStation 1.
That's not emulated. Just because you're using an illegal copy doesn't mean it's emulated. You're playing it on the original hardware.
I was merely using 'silly' as an adjective, since I've often found the game a bit difficult for me.
The first time I played this game, I was about eight or nine years old. The Game Over screen left a major impression on me.
How unfortunate. Especially the re-recorded version of the Mouse Trap tune, since they couldn't get another arcade machine for the recording, so they had to use stock sound effects.
I played that one at Dave and Buster's awhile back.
I got a pocket full of quarters, and I'm headed to the arcade!I don't have a lot of money, but I'm bringing everything I made!
Ben and Norah make such a cute couple.
Wait, crashing causes you to automatically retire? It's just like Super Monaco GP!
A new homebrew? Where can I find out more about this?
Getting a perfect score on any stage is impossible for me.
It wasn't a joke...
Female Rambo? I'm there!
You're amazing at this game.
Baby Pac-Man, I only played that once when I was 7!
Humpty-Dumpty sat on a wall.Humpty-Dumpty had a great fall. All the king's horses and all the king's menHad to have omlettes for breakfast again!
This belongs in the arcade section, not the NES section!!!
YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE CONTINUES! GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD ALREADY! IF YOU CAN'T PLAY BY THE RULES, THEN GET YOUR SORRY SELF OFF THIS WEBSITE ALREADY! WE DON'T ACCEPT CHEATERS ON THIS WEBSITE!
I just booted it up in MAME and it is possible for the last digit to be higher than 0 without continuing. In fact, I continued a game to see what might happen, and I saw that the last digit didn't change.
So apparently the NES version of this game was Snoopy Silly Sports Spectacular!
Boot throwing? I saw this in the Snoopy Silly Sports Spectacular!
Yeah, I think it came out earlier this year.
Never truly seen it all. Will there ever be a ROM dump I wonder?
You are NOT allowed to continue!
You've no proof that you achieved this score without continuing.
Kick! Punch! It's all in the mind!
The thing about this game is that I can't have my microphone turned on, or you're likely to hear some rather colourful language when I crash!
Hey, I'm just trying to offer some advice here. If you're going to be going on a hissy fit like that, you're only making yourself look less credible.
You really should include something with your name on it in your pictures, like a tag or a small piece of paper with your name written on it. Without this, people aren't going to believe it's really you.
You too, huh?
This is such an awesome game. Whoever composed the main theme deserves a medal. I will admit, however, that this is one of those games that gets my blood pumping a little too much. Whenever I get knocked into a roadside obstacle, it causes me to utilize some rather colorful language!
(Yeah, it might be unladylike, but whoever said I was a lady?)
Bald Bull is a bit tougher in the arcade.
Was this even a real game or a homebrew?
Are you kidding me? This type of game exists on the C64?
This always was a rather difficult track.
I heard this game is actually getting an updated re-release.
You have sustained a lethal vote. Sorry, but you are finished here.
(Just kidding! )
It's plain to see why this one was never localized.
Personally, I think the way they did Pole Position on this compilation leaves a bit to be desired. For one, the music sounds like it's being played on cheap synthesizers, not to mention a couple of tunes are in the wrong key. Another is that the framerate is very choppy.
No, it's not.
Lost it growing up.
I had this one when I was younger. How I remember the Game Over music always got to me.
I know that...
Damn! For a moment I thought I could play my Japanese PS One game on my PS3!
I'll always love Ellis's theme.
Wait, is this a USA PS3?
The first game I ever played on a PlayStation back in 1995. I was in disbelief at how awesome it was.
As for the first PlayStation game I ever owned? Resident Evil!
I'm aware of that. I meant the programmer specifically.
Whoever added this entry messed up the formatting I think.
Whoever designed this game is sick. Just... ugh...
I know, I have the disc, fortunately.
I ain't surprised. Had a very limited run on the PlayStation in the USA.
I remember first playing this on the Atari 2600 and having no idea what the hell was going on!
Yeah, it was twice as long (and difficult) as Scramble.
Wait, this was originally an arcade game? All this time I thought it was a compilation for the PlayStation!
I never did like these versions, considering how tough it is to emulate the keypad on the consoles by using button combos to bring up the keypad, then moving the cursor around.
This is supposed to be for Royal Rumble mode.
So close and yet so far!
I love After Burner Climax.
I have to wonder, has ANYONE ever finished this silly game?
The problem is the hammers in the fourth race.
Beating the Ultimate Race means finishing the other races swiftly.
I've played the original arcade game. The 'screams' are just a very high pitched noise.
If the Atari 7800 had more games like this, it might have stood a chance against the NES.
This game... ugh... gross!
That's a rather low score.
The fact you finished this darned game makes me tip my hat to you!
Hey, why was this removed?
Already done amigo.
More than likely yeah.
That's not the problem here. The problem is that NES/Famicom category is for when you play on the actual hardware. This is the emulated version, which means you should be submitting it under the NES/Famicom Emulated section.
Someone else voted yes! The legit rating is at 20%!
I don't know, but I don't like it!
Someone voted yes on his score!
This belongs under NES/Famicom Emulated.
Done and done.
It might be more wise to include the video in your evidence log.
I know, right. Right near the end when you tried to use that endless spear-jab-combo, you should've just uppercutted him instead.
I've never seen the computer do a fatality as far as I can recall.
Despite the limitations and how little the game resembles the original, I still think the Defender Atari 2600 game is still fun in its own way.
I have to wait until next year to take part. :(
And it's too late to sign up. Damn it!
What exactly is NES Open?
How are you exosilver! All your votes are belong to us!
You didn't include a shot of your score. Skipping for now.
Yeah, best that you remove it.
Just FYI, the difficulty switches have no effect in Moonsweeper.
Welcome to the Fantasy Zone! Get ready!
What the hell is this game?!
I don't get why you had a low reputation at first. I saw nothing unusual about your evidence. Although you might consider setting your initials for the future, and maybe setting a profile pic too. That might make you seem more legit.
I've played this one before, and I agree, it is a bit sketchy.
Next time, try providing an identification in the picture.
I'd really advise against this, man.
For a moment I was like, "Whoa, does Stargate even go that high in terms of scoring?" Then I saw it was a pinball machine and I was like, "Oh, the movie!"
Thanks much, although frankly I figured I'd be eliminated in the first round.
Curses, foiled again!
Eliminated in the first round of the AtariAge Silver Medalist bracket because of this game. Ugh.
I'd rather have my boobs sawn off by a swordfish than play this crap again!
Hey, why was your score removed?
My problem is that the Pro-Line Joysticks break too easily.
What I want to know is how you can play for so long using Pro-Line Joysticks! Those things cause my hands to cramp up like nobody's business!
I still can't believe they localized this as as the crappy Street Combat game.
I still remember the time I saw this game at Funspot, NH. I dropped in a token and began to play. I made it all the way up to the final race, but just as I made it to the chase view part of the final race, I ran out of fuel. Unfortunately, the continue dipswitch was disabled! DOH!
Did some research on Wikipedia earlier today.
Apparently, this game is based on a doll known as 'Jenny' in Japan. Originally she was called 'Takara Barbie,' but when the license expired, she was renamed Jenny. She also has a more unique appearance, such as more realistic proportions and a more anime-esque appearance.
The goal is to collect various letters and numbers for a special password in each stage. It's imperative they be written down in the correct order, or you can't get into the final stage.
Definitely agreed there.
It's been almost twenty years since I last played this one, and even I'm not so sure myself.
With the right amount of practice and memorization I'd be inclined to believe so myself.
So there's more than one method? I never knew that.
I'd read that you can also get the same effect by holding down the Game Reset switch while turning on the Atari 2600.
I'll never understand why they changed the names of the characters in the home versions.
OK, OK, people, calm down.
Sega had some really neat games in the arcades.
No worries, amigo!
That's a mystery best left unsolved in my opinion.
Why wouldn't we be?
Someone who can make it THAT far without continuing deserves a medal in my opinion!
Don't you mean 30 lives?
To make it that far on three lives is an achievement in itself!
It shows how out of practice I am!
The music is pretty good, I'll give it that. But the lack of two player support and the fact you are sent back a little each time you're shot down really brings this version down.
I truly envy you. We need more arcades in Massachusetts!
I believe you.
I ain't so sure about Derek, but I do know the trolls must be sent back to under the bridge where they belong!
Unfortunately, the trolls are good at avoiding detection, so our best bet is to watch for suspicious activity and report it to the admins.
To each their own.
I never knew that. How interesting!
I always get stuck on the Aerial Race at those stupid hammers.
Hence the reason it's so rare. Regardless, I loved this pinball machine when it was down at my local bowling alley. How I miss that place.
In the US, that bird-like creature was a frog-like creature named Julius. I briefly played the NES version but I'm more familiar with the Atari 7800 version, known as Tower Toppler.
I believe there's an unused track in the NES version where it's supposed to be someone dancing for Apollo at the end? Maybe that was Japan only?
Odds are the insane difficulty is why this game was never released!
I never knew they had a colorized scoreboard!
I remember they had TX-1 there, something I hadn't seen in person for over twenty years!
I thought that troll was banned!
I love Funspot!
How do you know it's her?
So I noticed.
Video set as private. Skipping until this is fixed.
I remember I was about 11 when my stepfather brought this home from his job. I loved getting new games through his co-workers.
Apparently, bugtesting was not part of the agenda.
Can someone PLEASE tell me the trick to pulling off the special moves properly? Because it's more about luck than skill in my opinion!
Is it me, or does this game seem a little like Activision's Enduro?
Wrong picture here.
Do you download them onto your PC first? Because there you can re-rotate them.
With great difficulty I'd imagine!
You beat my score! Time to get at it again!
I don't see why he has a -1% rating.
OK, what's your secret?
I second that!
Guess you really 'croaked' there!
You've never seen it all in the world of video game hacks!
What I don't get is how you shoot the bionic arm with only one button on the joystick?
Yeah, but we don't know that they're real! They're too small to know for certain if they're even on a computer or arcade machine, and there's no identification of any type. (No, your initials don't count!)
Get lost, you troll!
I sure did!
I remember reading in EGM back in 1994 that the biggest Atari 2600 game was Road Runner at 16K. Turned out they were right, but that there were other 16K games too.
Regardless, this is a fairly decent adaptation in my opinion.
Not only that, he's insulting the sequel to one of the best classic arcade shooters of all!
Neither can I!
You need to take a clearer picture of the monitor or game in question, and have your name written on a piece of paper or something similar.
That alone isn't sufficient. You need to provide a better picture of the monitor, with an identification of some kind.
I still remember seeing this game as Bubble Bath Babes, a.k.a. one of the three adult NES games.
Which is why we have emulation.
The closest we'd ever come to Rally-X on the NES.
Oh yeah, I just looked it up. But by that logic, shouldn't that mean my videos aren't acceptable either? Or am I missing something else here?
The Gum Ball Crash has to be the best racing song on the NES!
This game is the very reason I wanted an Atari 7800 when it came out!
I know, but when I have a bomb and press the right button, they don't activate. Unless it's a problem with the emulator?
I never could get the right button to function in this game for some reason. Do I have to double tap it or something?
I love the ending on the Expert course.
I wonder how many people quoted He-Man during the intro cinematic when it shows your character raising his sword?
You're being pretty offensive yourself if you're referring to my gender preference as a sexual disorder.
Yeah, but apparently the arcade owners decided to deactivate the blood in their machine. I dunno, I just can't imagine cutting someone and seeing sweat come out.
I wonder what's brought them out? A lack of billy goats crossing their bridges? Ha ha ha!
Yeah, unfortunately just posting a screenshot isn't enough. Anyone can easily take a screenshot and photoshop it.And I have a hard time believing you're not one and the same.
This seems very familiar.
The problem I had was that the arcade I frequented had the blood turned off, so it was white instead of red. So I never really played it as frequently as I hoped.
There need to be better anti-troll mechanisms here!
Oh, and did you say 'with all your affection?' I'll have you know I'm actually a lesbian.
You know, I was going to try to explain the way things work here, but since you've sunken low by calling me a 'foolish moron' and swearing at me, I've come to realize it's a waste of time. You obviously have no desire to learn how to play by the rules here, and the fact that you're resorting to name calling and using profanity only makes you less believable.
I've heard of it, have always wanted one.
Nah, you're cool
Either that or he's got a modchip.
I still remember first seeing this game 21 years ago. Back when the SNES and Genesis were still at war with each other, and the Saturn had just come out, the PlayStation came out with this one. It was like nothing I'd ever seen before. I was mesmerized by it.
I thought that was only after the initial 99 seconds ran out?
I understand, but the fact that they were already at -1% made me suspicious.
You've a bad reputation, and it's not getting better, so you might as well just scram!
Hit the road, troll!
Yeah. Whenever I try to install OBS it says, "Your system is missing DirectX files. Would you like to install them?"
Unfortunately, I can't even get OBS to install. It says DirectX files are missing, and I've tried several solutions, but the installer keeps telling me they're missing. So I'm SOL.
I have the first two for GameCube, I'm still seeking out the third one. Dolphin is a great emulator, I'll give it that.
I really want to record videos on my laptop but OBS doesn't like Windows 10. Any alternative suggestions?
Despite the limitations, they did a nice job on this one in my opinion.
Perhaps Nintendo of America didn't want to risk legal action from Atari Corporation due to the similarities to Pole Position?
I can see your point of view, but I'm still technically female.
So the Famicom works OK? Then again I have a Retron 5 so I could easily use that one in that.
Oh, and if you could not call me man, I'd appreciate it, OK? :)
Is it true they break down easily, or is that the Disk System?
Somewhat better than the Atari 2600 version, but not quite as good as the ColecoVision version.
Screenshots alone aren't enough. You should try submitting a video instead.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here, but next time you might want to include your name on a piece of paper in the same picture, or some similar form of a nametag so that people don't vote no.
Someone voted 'No' for other reason. Whoever you are, troll, COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP AND MOUSE DOWN!
I remember reading the review of this game, claiming that the hero's name was Bruce Leap.
This version proved that looks weren't everything! Even with better graphics, the controls were still clunky, making it more difficult than need be!
My hat's off to you for this score!
Can't you map the accelerator pedal to the mouse button?
And THIS is why I don't drive! Ha ha, just kidding!
I really wish they'd dump the completed version of Turbo for the Atari 2600, not just the prototype.
I can do a LOT better than this.
At ease, soldier!
This is better than my average attempts. Usually it takes me a couple of continues to clear Area 3.
Now if I could get more votes. I have many scores that are only a few votes away from being legit, but it's almost like everyone's ignoring my scores on purpose!
I really messed up royally on the fourth race.
Face it, you're already in the negative reputation, just get out!
The 'What 2600 Games Are You Playing Right Now' thing is a contest?
You know, despite the poor quality of the graphics and whatnot, I actually thought this was a pretty fun game. It may not be arcade perfect, but I still like it.
You might want to try using either video capture or taking a picture of your monitor with the score visible, and some sort of identifier, like your name written on a piece of paper.
I like how it shows your character's face.
As if Ghosts 'n' Goblins wasn't hard enough, now we have this one! The AVGN would have a field day here!
Wonder if it's a problem with the monitor?
I hate her.
Does the background of the track select screen look darker than usual or is it just me? Because I thought ti's usually blue?
Your timing has to be just right.
The motorcycle stage in this version is very difficult, I admit.
This looks like it was played on Activision Classics, which doesn't count as emulated. Skipping for now.
It was Activision's take on Pole Position. Personally, I think Pole Position was better, but Enduro has its own unique charms too.
After seeing Enduro, I was surprised with how fast this game went.
It sure is!
Well to be honest, there are other great games for it too. In fact, Commando and Xenophobe are a lot better than the NES versions in my opinion.
Actually, I played it in windowed, but I had no idea how to resize the recording image. I figured it out though.
Now I've got that darned song going through my head! XD
I'm really out of practice with this one. I remember when I first saw the Atari 7800, I wanted one just for this game. I didn't get one until 2002.
Sorry for the visible cursor, forgot to turn off the display mouse in the settings for MESS.
I mean RetroUprising! Where is my brain!?
I see you're playing on HighScore.com
I can't get MESS to run on my PC so HighScore.com it is for me.
I first played it at my sixth birthday party, which was three years after it was released!
How were you able to emulate the driving controller?
They sure are!
She doesn't look too happy.
Oh yes, I'm sure of that.
I used to be able to win the race any time I played!
Definitely not one of my better races.
Says their name is Ava-Robin Cohen. More than likely an employee of GCC.
We sure will!
Revenge of the Trolls.
I have absolutely NO idea whatsoever how to make the video stretch out or something. I don't know enough about OBS.
Ray Kassar was fired in late 1982 for insider stock trading. James Morgan was then named CEO, and he was known for a more casual atmosphere. He even let programmers put their names on the boxes!
And with the end of Kassar came the end of the no-black backgrounds policy.
Jr. Pac-Man was actually a 16K game. It was completed in 1984, but video games were put on hold after Jack Tramiel acquired Atari, Inc. (It was then Atari Corporation.) In 1986, with the video game market coming back to life, Tramiel not only released the Atari 7800 finally, but also attempted to revive the Atari 2600 with the red-label cartridges. Jr. Pac-Man was one of those games.
Already a No vote? Ridiculous!
I tried a full screen OBS recording of MAME last night, all I got was a black screen. >_>
I always liked the music on the Game Boy version.
Ray Kassar was a greedy jackass. He was in such a rush to cash in on the craze that he figured, 'If it's Pac-Man, it'll sell.' All while denying Tod Frye the ability to actually make a decent Pac-Man game, instead telling him to finish up the prototype he had and release it as-is.
And why the blue maze? Kassar said 'no black backgrounds unless it's in space!'
I'm not trying to beat anyone, I'm just doing this for entertainment.
You really don't have to include all these pictures. Just the ones relevant to the game in question. Some people don't have high speed internet.
Final mission is over.
Conglaturation, this story is happy ending. Thank you.
Wait a second, I thought it says, "No continues." Skipping for now.
I remember this as International Track & Field for the PSX. Fun game
I'll note that for next time.
Yes, it's me. And I'm actually male-to-female transgender.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here, but next time you should include your username written on a piece of paper or something and visible in the photo.
This doesn't seem right period.
The problem with Grand Prix is that I always crash too much and I never get a fast time. Any tips?
To think, we could've had an arcade quality Pac-Man if it wasn't for Ray Kassar!
Just write your username on a piece of paper/index card/etc. so that it's visible for us to see. Namely in a picture also showing the score.
I can go with that.
Yeah that's true. I wanted to create a new username to reflect this, but I couldn't, so I just used my new 'avatar' and called her a female Larcen (albeit from a futuristic time)
As far as I know, I'm the only transgender player on here.
Aside from the fact I am rather overweight, it makes me uncomfortable due to my gender issues.
The admins can't see who votes no?
That part is easy with practice.
First we have to find out who it is!
I should've gotten a screenshot of the marquee or something, but I forgot.
Ignore my reflection on the screen please.
Truth be told, there'll never be a way to truly enjoy 720 Degrees at home.
That's Mappy, not Mappy Kids.
Unlike the NES version, which only shows the princess vanishing, the arcade version shows her being put into that container.
When this game first came out, I hated it. For one, the difficulty was too unbalanced, and two, I didn't know anything about special moves in Street Fighter II, so how was I supposed to learn them in this game? I could only beat Richard Myer, but the others always killed me.
This is one tough game.
You will remember to wash your hands before you eat, won't you?
Tell him if he wants video, he can pay for my video camera!
Then tell him to pay for my video camera!
Wrong video. Skipping for now.
I remember how much I wanted this game when I was younger. A shame I missed out, it's a nice version.
They also did Choplifter! as well.
It is a fun game. It's also known as Quarth on the Game Boy.
The entire screen? But that means I'd have to shut down other windows, correct?
Tried doing that for my IGBY submission and it worked OK, but the video was smaller than I hoped.
What do you use to record your videos?
I will gladly remember that!
Non-matching ROM set. Can't do that.
No video? Too bad!
And I'm sorry if you don't like the fact you want video, but I can't afford a camera!
For the last time, I can't afford a video camera!
If you want video, too bad! Unless you wanna pay, get lost!
You want a video, for such a low score? Get out of here!
And if you want a video, then tell me when to start the Kickstarter!
Voting no because of no video? Give me a break!
Video desired? All right, I'll get my Kickstarter page set up!
You want a video? Then you pay for it!
Whoever voted 'video desired,' I tell ya what, I'll set up a GoFundMe, and you can pay for it! How's that sound?!
Is this anything like the cheesy NES game?
This is a rather fun game, I must say!
Had to start a new game to show my high score.
Had some trouble getting my name tag up there. I had to take a shot of the attract mode when my high score showed up, and when I got the name tag up there, the screen went black. Sorry.
Sorry my nametag is blurry in the first shot.
Only two photos this time due to technical issues.
More Game Night stuff.
Again taken at Game Night.
Done at Game Night last Tuesday night.
If we knew that, we'd be able to take care of 'em!
I learned that when I first played the arcade version.
You didn't know that? You've got to be kidding me!
How did you get the Game Boy border?
Trolls don't use skip, they vote no!
Or setting it so you have to have at least one verified score with a good legitimate rating to vote?
They need to make voting less anonymous! They need to set stricter rules about voting.
They need to do something! Right here, right now!
I definitely do!
This is just proof that the trolls are just doing what they do best!
It may be tough, but it's a great port. It's better than the NES version, especially with the closer accuracy to the arcade game and the excellent POKEY music!
I like how they use the Canadian and USSR National Anthems in this one, but I never figured out what the tune is that plays when you jump off the building with the umbrella.
I remember playing this one when I was little, but never got the name of it until I watched an episode of Starcade!
You should try showing better identification for things like this.
The rapid fire is a nice touch, but the levels are a bit shorter than the arcade version for some reason. Hence the reason many considered it inferior.
I never could figure out this game.
Someone recently made a patch for Hyper Iria.
Better this than Street Combat!
I remember reading a review about this one in GamePro, but never saw it. Alas, it was cancelled. :(
I still can't believe they censored this one, even though NOA had stopped censoring their games!
I wouldn't mind a repro cart of the translated ROM of Hyper Iria. :P
As do I. Unfortunately, during that era, I was stuck as a Nintendo gamer.
The censored version I see. I was stuck with this one for many years, and was ridiculed because of it.
I like the NES version better.
I still remember the day I got my first PSX back in 1996. The first game I ever got for it was the original Resident Evil. Sure, the voice acting is cheap and the graphics look simple compared to today's standards, but for someone who had grown up with the SNES up until then, it was a huge step forward!
Does it work with Tengen titles?
So no more blinking screens or frustration? Cool!
I was about to ask about that. Does that mean the blinking screens are eliminated too?
"This is SPARTA!"
I should try that! Where does the button go in regards to the rightside-up orientation of the pad?
More than likely. Just like with Pole Position, how the Fuji Speedway is now the Namco Raceway, and the Suzuka Circuit is now the Wonder Circuit.
They just couldn't use the name most likely.
I loved this stage's BGM when I was younger.
There's more of 'em coming in by the day it seems.
Don't provoke us, buddy. If all you're gonna do is troll, then GET LOST!
I knew I recognized the game over screen.
That would've been my next guess!
Looks like she did the hair twist fatality on you.
No you won't, you're gonna go find someplace else to troll!
The problem I have is that you can't press a button while you are using the control disc. It's really ruined many games of Baseball and Hockey.
Yeah, the retro games just have their own unique appeal. Especially Gateway to Apshai. It may seem simple by today's standards, but it's still fun!
Well I ain't in the mood for fun!
I've seen many trolls before, but THIS one takes the cake!
Go troll someplace else!
You think you're funny, but you're not.
Get outta here, you stupid troll!
Get the hell outta here, you troll!
With my PS4 needing repairs, I'm thinking of hooking up my Colecovision Flashback again. It's small and lightweight, yet works like a charm!
Thought it seemed familiar!
Where's your new avatar from?
You're gonna play it? I envy you.
I so want to see a home version of Time Crisis 5! And I've heard about 2Spicy, but I doubt I'll ever get to play it. :(
This is why someone should be able to see who votes no.
Well my question is if they can actually see who votes no?
THIS is why the admins need the ability to see who votes no to try to get at the trolls!
I remember playing that on emulator. I thought it was funny how the driver would roll on the ground then complain about his car!
Does anyone know if the Intellivision Flashback uses the original version of Auto Racing or the revised one?
Once I get paid I should check this out!
I always thought the game itself was rather average, but the music was awesome.
You actually found an XE Light Gun? My hat's off to you!
This is a new one on me!
That was a stupid idea on the developers' part! At least now we have MAME so we can learn all we need to without breaking our bank!
I saw the commercial for this game, where the boy playing the game was turned into Snake, and was literally playing the game for himself. It was rather neat.
You might want to include a piece of paper or something with your name on it for identification purposes. Also, it might help to include a shot of the Flashback.
Hello, commander! Computer reporting!
Hopefully more will be added soon!
I wondered what the original looked like.
I meant you accidentally started a new game.
Yeah. But still, that error message? Why does it appear? The disc I had was always clean.
I've had that same error message appear in my copy of Crazy Taxi also, yet nothing ever seemed to be wrong.
Then you need to take a snapshot of your monitor with some kind of identification visible.
That's pretty much the Atari 7800 in a nutshell. In fact, Atari, Inc. added a security check to avoid unlicensed games like with the Atari 2600. If a game didn't have the proper key/whatever, the game would boot into Atari 2600 mode. If it did check, then the Maria chip would activate, allowing the enhanced graphics. Despite having POKEY support, it wasn't actually built into the Atari 7800, instead only using the TIA system. Only BallBlazer and Commando utilized POKEY support.
How unfortunate since it's such a solid shooter.
You and me both, brother!
I'm genuinely impressed!
We need more arcades here in Massachusetts!
It's a fun shooter.
We need the admins to ban these trolls!
Trolls don't think, remember?
I'd kill to get this game, but I hear it's mighty expensive.
You're kidding, right? This alone could be from many games! The font doesn't count!
Online I mean.
How do you know that's even their real name? You know darn well it's easy to come up with a fake identity only!
Of course, you realize, THIS means war!
That doesn't necessarily mean the scores are your own. It's easy to take someone else's snapshot, maybe even alter it, then upload it as your own.
Wait, he sent you a message saying that? These trolls have no life!
You ought to be aware that talking to yourself is a sign of impending mental collapse... although given how long you've been trolling our site, I'd say it's already happened!
Your reputation on here is like an elevator without a cable... going WAAAAAAAAAY down!
It's bad enough that you're trolling, but with my favorite character from this game? You insult me!
Yo Joe? More like Yo NO!
The only puzzling thing here is the logic of trolls!
I thought these creatures were supposed to hide under bridges waiting for billy goats?
Scram, troll! You don't belong on this site!
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here and vote yes, but next time you might want to include a note or something with your name/initials on it to prove that it's you.
Yeah, ain't that clever... NOT!
You are the supreme HighScore.com Troll!
Even here too?! You just don't know when to quit!
Well, there goes your down payment on the car!
OK, what is the problem here?
Say no to trolls!
The only thing you're good for is increasing my user points!
That's exactly what this score is!!
It might be best to upload it to Youtube instead. Or you could, you know, make some kind of identifier, like writing your name on a small piece of paper and putting by the television (visible in the shot though.)
Couldn't just stick to trolling the Arcade/M.A.M.E. section, could you?
Well we don't like you!
So does your effort at being a troll!
Just like your favorite pastime is trolling?
If that's a legitimate score, then I'm Wile E. Coyote!
Look, until you add some kind of identification to your pictures, I'm not voting yes.
You might want to try adding something that proves who you are, like your name on a piece of paper, or maybe a printout with your name and avatar on it. That way you'll be more likely to be recognized as legit.
How about showing some form of identification in your pictures? Maybe then you'll get a better reputation.
Why don't you make like a tourist and get lost?!
Just found it last night. Never knew you could do key combos like that.
Back when the Sega Dreamcast came out (and for the couple years it was out) the advertising slogan for the Sega Dreamcast was:Sega Dreamcast - IT'S THINKING.
I got news for you, the Sega Dreamcast thinks more than they do! (Remember that tagline?)
What're you talking about? They aren't thinking at all!
The fact they're trolling by voting no makes me hate them even MORE!
Just showing a screenshot isn't enough. It could easily have been doctored or altered. You need to find a way to show better proof that this score is yours.
Yeah, you're really great... NOT!
Yeah, and I'm the President of the United States!
Your stupid trolling REALLY bugs me more than the bugs in this game!
@blondesurfergirl: I tell ya what, you get the hell off this site and I'll give ya a Cadillac!
You say it like they actually care.
How do you do that?
The 90s have passed, but there will always be time for KLAX. But there will never be time for trolls!
Get the hell off this site, you troll!
You're gonna need to do more than upload screenshots of your name. You need to have a picture showing a name tag or something. Otherwise we won't believe this is legitimate.
Remind me about 11flonksj?
I know about OBS, but getting it to start and stop when you want it to is a pain. Namely since in Stella I need to remap numerous keys to get that to work.
We need a sign reading, 'NO TROLLS ALLOWED!'
The troll is voting now? Good thing I haven't posted anything in awhile!
What do you use to record?
I don't care how big or small your score is, STOP TROLLING!
If you wanna troll, go someplace else!
They'll probably keep doing this nonsense until they get banned.
Player #1 isn't the only thing that's dead! Your reputation is going to be dead soon as well!
What's the matter? Forgot to use the Konami Code to give yourself 30 lives?
Seriously, just give it a rest.
Well this troll is nowhere near any favorite of mine!
You don't know when to quit, do you?!
Go on, keep posting these bogus scores. I'd love to see you slowly get downvoted to 0%!
Die, monster! You don't belong in this world!
If that's a legitimate score, then I am Mickey Mouse!
Just quit it already!
Your reputation needs guarding too!
You mean I tried to tell them. But trolls don't listen.
NO TROLLS ALLOWED!
It asks for your blood type too? Now I've seen everything!
I'm deeply saddened by this news. My sympathies are with you.
Why don't you just quit now before your reputation gets so low you'd never have a chance of getting it back?
Nice try, but the border is wrong.
Are you sure this is in the right category?
The user. Their reputation and lack of identification makes me uneasy.
So it's only for the Wii? *sigh*
Yeah, well we don't!
Is there an emulator which actually emulates the driving controller?
Do you have a preference?
Too bad there's no way to emulate tables.
Why can't they put this in Pinball Arcade? I mean there are a lot of video game based tables that I'd love to see there!
The girl is a real cutie!
I'm surprised Tolkien (or his estate/whatever) didn't sue because of this pinball machine's title.
I wouldn't mind playing that once. Too bad you can't emulate pinball machines!
Dolly Parton had her own pinball game?! I know Elton John had one, but Dolly?!
Q*Bert even had his own pinball game! How do you like that!
I have this game.
I hated this game!
Given that I've never seen this game in action before, that answers my question!
The thing about this version is, instead of putting an effort into making it seem like a true Atari 7800 game, they just took the Atari 2600 version, modified it to utilize the MARIA chip so that it would have better graphics, and published it as is.
Is there like a place where they have these for download?
I've done one joystick runs on the Atari 7800. It feels a little unnatural, but I've done pretty well with it. Still, if you want the true experience, you have to use two joysticks.
What's that green thing on the left?
I believe the title is Cacoma Knight in Bizyland.
I always liked how the game over screen shows the heroes bandaged and bruised while standing in front of their pissed-off chief!
Crazy skills, Alpha-1!
No continues used either? Amazing!
That's why I need to open my NES up and disable the 10NES chip so my games load without that stupid blinking screen.
That name definitely rings a bell...
The only thing harder than this game is getting the stupid game to work! Thanks a lot, Tengen!
Trolls are mean but not smart. I mean they desire a video? Look again!
(And yes, I gave you a yes vote!)
You've NEVER truly seen it all for the C64!
Your driving skills are impressive!
My issue is that if you're using a Power Base Converter, you have to use actual Master System controllers or the game doesn't work right.
I didn't like this port. It's just not the same Alien Syndrome I knew and loved!
You need that to enjoy Activision Decathlon. With a joystick, you get a better workout than with Wii Sports!
Kuku Kube is frowned upon here. Might as well just withdraw this score before you get no-voted into the negatives.
The Atari 8-bit version looks very similar to the Atari 7800 version.
The force is strong with you!
Playing on actual hardware must be a challenge since you have to toggle the switches.
Sacre bleu! Quel score impressionnant!
(In other words, what an impressive score!)
Yeah, I know how you feel.
Dude looks like a lady!
That's the problem with the Atari 5200, those stupid analog joysticks made things unplayable!
So I take it the Power Base Converter allows EU and JP games too?
Which character were you playing as there?
Yes, quite a quirky game. I remember someone actually made an official looking manual for the game.
Didn't even finish the qualifying lap. Control problems?
I really envy you! XD
Shouldn't that be called 'Grobda?'
Same, I just opened the cartridge cover and cut away the tabs. No screwdriver needed.
Also see Commando and Xenophobe!
I had a model one, meaning all I had to do was cut away the plastic tabs.
This was definitely a very good rendition of Joust!
A-ha! Perhaps I should try this sometime!
My problem with emulation is that it's hard to remember which key is which in regards to the keypad!
I love how when you complete a level, Mario and Luigi breathe a sigh of relief, only to have the boss come out and yell, "GET BACK TO WORK!"
I never understood this. Why did they take the Atari 2600 version, give the graphics a makeover so they looked more arcade like, and leave it as is? You'd think they could use the two buttons of the Pro-Line joystick for more arcade like controls.
The Sega Master System version was a bit more forgiving.
You did well, I'll give you that. But unless you have turbo controllers, you can NEVER beat the stairway scene!
That's supposed to be a 'D' I believe, for 'Detonation Time.' But given the limitations of the sprites in those days, it looks like an 'O.'
I hate that too!
Rented it once, yes. A bit short, alas. But I liked the anime character designs for this one.
I still remember the first time I learned of this. I was at Back Bay Station, waiting for my train home, and I was browsing the pages of GamePro. I was glancing over the list of upcoming games, saw this title, then did a double-take. I was like, "NO WAY!"
I rented this once. It's not too bad.
That's gotta be terrifying, being tied to a chair in front of dynamite that's about to blow up.
You actually know Kanji? I envy you!
I can understand why you'd think you're from hell after trying to endure Ghosts 'n' Goblins! In fact, on the now-defunct network G4, someone said that game series causes players to drop more f-bombs than Samuel L. Jackson when he stubs his toe!
How were you able to get all those symbols into Google Translate?
Remember this from younger school days on the Apple 2!
What are the colored things to the right of each score?
Infiltrate is pretty good.
I see War: Final Assault. I loved that game. It's too bad it never made it to N64 despite being planned. Maybe Warner Bros., being the owners of Atari Games now, could consider an HD rerelease?
This is proof that Games By Apollo had no idea what they were doing.
As one of the only two cartridges that used the POKEY chip, it was definitely used well!
You think you're ready to battle for the puck? To inflict fast body checking? Furious stick checking? Ruthless tripping? You think you're ready for all that?
(And yes I know the toolbar is showing for Stella. I just wanted to show proof that I was genuinely emulating.)
I know, right? You lose a life, you have to start over instead of resuming where you died! Make no mistake, this game's music is awesome, but the difficulty is INSANE! And no 30-life code either!
Yeah, well where can I find this game?
I remember playing this on DOS. It took me awhile to figure out the controls.
I can't believe how much I miss this game!
Up until now, I'd never seen a Tandyvision before!
The problem with this game is that your timing has to be spot on with everything.
Was wondering the same myself!
Looks like you'll be staying forever!
Whoever Mr. or Ms. No is, they'd better watch out! Because Santa is known for putting them on the list of people who only receive games that were featured on the AVGN show!
I was playing Sleuth again for the first time in years. I love how you can put your favorite celebrities/fictional characters/friends/etc. together in one house.
Some of the games there don't work! A shame too!
I've seen them include Taito-licensed games on the Flashback, so why not Namco? Why no Ms. Pac-Man... or Pole Position for that matter?!
Makes sense. Personally, I can't stand CCE. There's something about the logo...
Hey, why are you using the CCE version?
You need to provide better proof that it's really you.
You're an up and coming boxer!
Don't bother. You're just ruining your reputation.
Just the soundtrack itself makes it worth coming back for more!
Fun game, I have it for the Genesis. Holly's a real cutie! ;)
Unfortunately, there isn't really. I mean I could press the difficulty switch in Stella to show that it's A, but that could happen at any time. Oyamafamily, I personally think you should've just skipped this if you don't understand how it works. You're ruining my reputation.
And to the other jerk who voted no because they want to see proof of the system, what do you want me to do? Take a picture of my rig which can play the latest games but is being used to play classic Atari 2600 games? Is my keyboard and computer monitor not enough?!
It's another scammer. Just vote no and move on.
Alternatively, you could just do what I did and write them down on a piece of paper (or an index card since they're smaller) until you've learned to memorize them.
Where can this one be found?
Yeah, I have OBS, but it's a pain to get to setup. I had atube catcher on my old desktop.
Which program do you use for your video captures?
I thought I had the pattern for them mastered, but there's always those times you slip up! XD
Yes, I am sure I will! I will give it another try when the time is right!
Missed a perfect run by 15,722 points! Stupid condors and that poison frog at the end!
Then why did you bother voting if you're not familiar? Why not just skip it?
I know the screenshot was uploaded twice. It's because I didn't think it uploaded properly the first time.
At any rate, how I got such a high score on the A difficulty is beyond me. Usually I'm better at the B difficulty with guided shots. Regardless, it's a shame we aren't playing this in the HSC!
Well if you can take a picture of your screen with some kind of name tag, that would be better. Alternatively, you could take a desktop screenshot (PrintScreen, then go into Paint and paste it there) with MAME running in a window while your browser is open to your profile page. Look at my recent scores to see what I mean.
Someone voted no because they wanted video. I can appreciate that, but I should also note that there's no real way to cheat at this version of Double Dragon. You can't leech points or anything like that. In fact, if there were cheats, I would've used them to beat this silly game!
What we mean is maybe edit the screenshot in Paint and add a nametag of some sort. Or maybe take a snapshot with a camera of some kind with your name on an index card or piece of paper in the same shot?
You really need to add some kind of identification to your screenshots.
Even the Intellivision version looked better than this!
Finally I hope I got everything right! I am so silly sometimes!
Darryl, I can't add the . in the score, I have to use the regular method.
And nads, you're right! Where is my brain?
I know it's technically 582.7, but they won't let me add it as such. I have to use the entry method on the site. And since it's a large score, I added several snapshots.
Since this is such a high score, I added several photos as well as a screenshot.
#1. My score, my monitor, and my name tag.
Unfortunately, I forgot to take a screencap, so hopefully a photo will provide sufficient proof.
We need to fix this!
You're probably wondering how I got such a high score on such a notoriously difficult game? Simple, master the elbow punch while learning how to position yourself and you can't go wrong! Heck, if I had done better I might have made it to Mission 4!
How do you know it's just one person?
I truly weep for their future. I wonder if any of them are those low-rated Kuku Kubers?
I weep for their future.
I've decided to try using a method used by other users on here. I also took a photo too, just to be sure. Regardless, I hope this is sufficient enough.
Yeah. The graphics looka a TINY bit sharper, but that's just me. And playing Pitfall! with a disc isn't exactly easy!
Sadly, no. Xevious 3D/G+ was, but not this one.
That's a mighty nice score!
Just for the future, you should set your initials and also include some kind of identification, such as a name tag or something similar with your name on it in the picture, so we can verify it's legitimate.
I believe this was achieved fairly.
Figures if you wanna play Galaxian 3, you gotta live in Japan.
Is that a laptop or a tablet?
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here, but in the future you should include some method of identifying yourself in the pictures.
Well it's worth a try I suppose.
Honestly, I don't see much difference between this and the Atari 2600 version.
So basically, if I take a full screenshot of the window with the browser open to my page while the emulator's running, it'll be sufficient proof? Because recording videos is a PITA for me.
*whistles* Ain't she a cutie!
Pole Position looks like a more colorful version of the Atari 2600 version!
I know, right?
Yes, I haven't been on AtariAge in awhile. For various reasons. I sincerely apologize.
Did you say LYNX? This is the wrong console then.
Does the BlueMSX emulator actually support the driving controller?
The dangers of distracted celebrating!
I still remember in 1995, when the game was big, I adopted a pet rabbit and named her Bunny Orchid as a parody of this character... only to learn a couple years later it was actually a boy!
The ending felt a little cheap.
It was a novel idea, but the story mode was too short and lacking.
I don't care WHAT the manual says. It's two guys and a girl, and the manual was mistranslated!
Personally I think I'd be better off just emulating.
I have to agree!
That's what playing this game feels like being attacked by, I bet! :P
This game could've been a LOT better! For one, having 5 lives for each race was a bad idea. Not to mention having to restart at the beginning makes it even worse!
This is not a true ending!
This game came out during the Cold War.
This game has an actual ending? You learn something new every day!
I've heard of the disc swap trick, but both of my original PlayStations are too old to run properly. :(
I remember reading about this game as a launch title for the PlayStation in Japan. I've always wanted to play it, but it never came out over here. Does it run well in ePSXe?
According to a friend of mine, trying to directly attack the enemies won't work. Instead you have to run in, attack them, and then pull back. Lather, rinse, repeat.
So they made a translation of it, but can anyone fix the insane difficulty?
The Polybius of the 21st century? XD
I still remember the many Saturday mornings as a child I'd get up and try to get better at this darn game (I wasn't able to play on weekdays because they were 'school nights.') I still remember the first time I spelled NINTENDO, I felt like a real champion... then I found how tough it was to handle the new cars!
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here, but in the future it's best if you include some kind of name tag or something similar for identification purposes.
Reminds me a little of The Last Blade games from the Neo*Geo.
I never knew Blue MSX also emulated ColecoVision. But that doesn't seem to make sense. Are the two similar in terms of CPU architecture?
Which emulator is this?
Blame Ray Kassar for rushing this horrible prototype to the market!
He's been posting this same picture everywhere, while claiming it's for every game he uploads it to. He's the epitome of trolls!
Dude, go troll someplace else! This place is for legitimate players only!
Hopefully sooner rather than later!
You're wasting time, trolls don't bother listening. Especially this guy. Just vote no and move on.
He's a troll. Just vote no and move on!
I've seen many trolls in my time, but you make the worst effort possible!
Apparently, it was such a big hit that people started building their own levels and sharing them. Why can't there be a game like that for today's era?
You lost to Mr. Bear? That's bear-ly believable!
Don't feed the trolls. Just vote no and move on!
Why even bother?
I need more practice at this. Learning to drive a train is never easy!
I wouldn't be surprised.
Terry, Kim, and Ken, hm? Personally, my team is Mai, Yuri, and Ryo. On PS2 I was able to finish the entire game using Yuri solo.
They could've, but it wouldn't have been recognizable to fans of the arcade game.
Here in Duckberg!
