I bought mine during the pre-release period in San Francisco. A friend and I waited for 3 hours at an EB Games for it. I think the 2 systems we bought were the only ones they sold that day. I got home and played Cyber Morph and started to think I made a horrible mistake. I still love the system but it's a very acquired taste :)

How much was it then? i lived in the stix so I've never seen one in person even, I just remember that it and the 3do were for the rich kids.

I did eventually get a 3DO but for $35 at a pawn shop. The Jaguar was $249 (I think) I had to sell my Turbo Express and games to afford it (in hindsight it might not have been my smartest moment). The friend I sold it to also bought a Jaguar, he was quite the rich kid :/ I also knew a kid who owned a NeoGeo and a Turbo CD. I'm sure a lot of people considered me a rich kid but the level that some of my friends seemed to get games and systems always made me feel poor.

Hahaha well the highlight of the time for me was getting a 3rd hand SNES with no games for Christmas one year, and I could only afford to rent a game once a month, so don't feel bad :P

Well, the TurboExpress eats batteries like mad.. I probably would have played a Jaguar more than my TurboExpress if I'd had one when they were new..
