The more I play the 7800 the more I appreciate it and want a real one :) Played on Standard the easiest setting. Thanks for voting :)

YES on ALL! :)

I'm pretty much using my 7800 everyday now. Not only to play games for the 7800, but for the 2600 as well. :)

@Mark: The person that sells the modded 7800 I want is in the process of making it dual compatible with ntsc and pal games. When he's done I'm buying one :)

I wish I had that mod, but none of my consoles have been modded. The closest thing to a mod that I have is a GameCube with a custom skin. I showed it on my channel right after I bought. It's not my original GameCube, although I still have it. The box too. It was a bundle sold by Radio Shack that included Metroid Prime as the pack-in game. I only have a few systems that I own multiples of.

  • Atari 2600 Jr.  x3 (2 dead; 1 rattles but works)
  • Commodore 64   x2 (Both given to me by an uncle, Boxed)
  • NES (Model 1)   x3 (2 dead. needing new pins; My original still has its box)
  • Nindendo GBA  X2 (1 Grey; 1 Blue)
  • Sega Genesis (Model 2)   My original still works, but I received a second one from a subscriber along with a Sega CD, which I needed. My original Genesis still has its box
  • SNES   x2. Both still work. My original still has its box

  • 3DO   My Goldstar still has its box, but this system has 3 motors, and one's dead.
  • Atari XE GS   Never had one; really want one.
  • ColecoVision   Never had one; really want one.
  • Intellivsion   I had a Model 1, but the CPU fried.

7800 is all I play besides the occasional GameCube and nes. So many great homebrews for the 7800. That Baby PacMan home brew that is coming out soon is FIRE. Yes vote btw.

@Pjsteele: Yes, I enjoy it too and a good homebrew scene really helps with these consoles. Thanks for the votes :)

Just think, the 7800 was supposed to be released like 4 years prior to when it did, but Atari mismanagement and the video game crash ruined everything. It would have went head to head with ColecoVision in a serious battle for supremacy. There's incredible homebrews for it though, agreed the maze games redo's are fire!!

Yeah, it was a bad decision on their part but I think they were being careful in the climate of the crash. It didn't stand much chance against the NES but against the Coleco it would have faired much, much better.

@Bamse: Just think, a million 7800s were gathering dust in a warehouse somewhere during the entire 5200 run lol.
