Nice score. I have the earge to beat it. Since we both know I can we should try to agree on a goal like doubble your score. What you think. And no I'm not atempting to rub in I'm better then you, I want to give my self a challenge. I know an honest challenge would be tripple your score but I have no idea if I can acheave that.

sounds good, go for it !!   smiley

i just played til I achieved my goal to beat jfetzer's score of 492  ^.^     ...took me about 6 or 7 attempts.

I think you've got the most Breakout skills so far so i think you can do it.  I only wonder -- does game 4 go past 864 pts.?

and... if I agree on double my score, does that mean you can't submit until you get a score of 998?   --meaning you can never beat me if it doesn't go past 864?

laugh

Good joke but I do think they go higher as I recall. I never wrote my scores down when I was little and really into playing the 2600

I shall accept not posting any score above yours untill I pass 998 providing the game lets me go higher. Sadly if it lets me I will more then likely beat 998 on my first try crying

I shall go on a breakout and super breakout binge. Go threw the 2600 then the jacks paddle then the jacks controller and any I missed on the C380.

Thats going to be alot and the C380 games will have to be requested. On that note S.BAZ go get yourself a C380 there about $10.00 on ebay and compleatly worth it. If you like breakout it has alot to offer along with pinball. It uses the same power plug as your atari so if you find one cheaper do to lack of power  supply get it as you can use the one from your atari. It also can run on batteries.

Ok I realize I'm posting alot but I must say this last thing If all origonal breakout games stop at 864 I will try to learn how to home brew and fix 864. Ah no one would buy it no one has yet to match me.  Oh well still want to do it.

Its alot of fun. I aperently forgot its speed variations which compleatly screwed me over. So you get to see me honestly such when posting my new scores. As for breakout games I maxed 2 others at 864 first try and I'm not done with each variation yet. I sofar only done it on jakks paddle. So up next in on a 2600 system but it should sadly be the same. I'm doing both dificoulty settings. Its a true breakout merython from the flashback to both jakks joy and paddle to the real system and a C-380 Thats a hole bucket load. Note the joystick jakks has become fun do to maxing out on 864 with the pattle's. Go fig got to find some way to loose. Its my aultomate goal (to loose)

The C-380 is awsome. Only problem is some of its games are harder then a witches titty. Rebound games are impossible. its kinda like videos olympics basket ball intermixed with videos olympics tennis and then on top of that it has physics that trumps pinball. Play those if you like frustration.

ah, no!  that's funny though, & also wierd.  so much "science" is just somebody coming up with stats & graphs to back up whatever idea they want to support.   it does seem possible though, especially with some kinds of games.  I would thing "high score" games would increase/improve brain activity though, similar like with chess & go.  I heard a presentation on Ted Talks about video games improving brain function.  maybe it just depends on what one's doing with games, if it excersises the brain or not.

I was referring to a pre-2600 Atari system with cartridge games that got cancelled in favor of the VCS:

That looks awsome. Paddles on the system

I like ted talks. Some are complete and total bullshit. I know real studies prove FPS games improve vission do to eye muscle excercise. Puzle games allow problem solving. The brain stayed avtive which keeps bloodflow to the cells in the brain healthy. There is no authentic study that proves games rot your brain.

That weired brain controller banshee has benifits the brain more then any game out there and its designed to play games with the mind alone.

@S.BAZ:

Yes I have a brain controller.smiley

Hads free feet free PC gaming with just pure cognitive thought. It takes time to train and I discovered the company I bought it from is full of bullshit and are running a money scheme even though their product does exactually what they say it does. I have played mutiple games with no keybord or mouse or even controller for that matter and its loads of fun. It also makes me unbelievably sleepy during and after use. Depending on how you train the brain controller changes the way you play.
